A clearer and more defined outline of the fees associated with the car rental. There was no attempt to explain or go over the gold rewards membership which could have saved us money as well. Every single person that witnessed coming in for pickup or drop off had some exorbitant amount of money tacked onto a price that was given in the beginning. With all that confusion you would think they would take some time to explain but their response every time, including when we had questions, was "do you want the car or not?" They had no patience and had no remorse and could not explain where all this verbiage was contractually for us to reference anywhere. I will use Turo any chance I can from here on out.Reviewed Dec 16 2023

Pros:ABSOLUTELY NOTHINGCons:Did not get comparable car.... over priced... despicable customer service... inaccurate hours... primary vs secondary driver not clearly defined for payment options or extra fees. Not as advertisedCons:First when i picked up the car i was told they didnt have the car i reserved available and i would have to get a bigger car for more money(10/per day). Also i said i needed it for 1 or 2 days because my truck was in the shop and i wasn't exactly sure when it would it be done. They charged for me 2 days stating that if i only used 1 day i would get the second day taken off my card. I brought it back the next day at which time i was told i missed the cut for my return time by 2 hours. Nothing was ever said about a return time cut off. I rarely rent cars becausei have my own vehicles. I feel like i got burned twice for not knowing the rental car rules and was overcharged by double ($45). Ill never rent from Hertz again and tell my friends and family of my horrible rental experienceReviewed Dec 23 2018

Quick and easy!Pros:Staff were easy to talk to, the whole experience was quick and easy.Cons:The inside of the car did not look as clean as the last car we rented from Hertz. A couple of stains, foot prints and dirt, and an odd odor.Reviewed Mar 6 2018

Terrible experiencePros:Didn’t even get the car. Between the time of booking and picking up my credit card was hacked and I needed to get a new one. Hertz would not honor the car rental even though it was prepaid since the card it was booked on was not available to swipe. The gentleman offered a new rental almost $200 more than the original rental. When i went online to cancel i was referred to he hertz number. We called to cancel and were told that we would get an email and a call. Still waiting more than a week later. Charge was disputed with my credit card company but we will never book again like this. Hertz should have honored the rental at the original price.Cons:Everything !Reviewed Nov 7 2017

TiredPros:The car was decent, clean and efficient. Liked the backup cam, trip info.Cons:When the tires started needing air, our problems began. We put air in a couple of days (more than one was low), but had a flat one morn. Time to get it fixed! There was a nail and it couldn't be repaired because of where it was. The dealer said Hertz would probably send a replacement or pay for it. No. Not only did we pay for it, they tried to tell us we had to pay for its companion when we dropped it off. Crazy! When the store called Hertz, they got two different stories, so they let us go with just one new tire. I was afraid to tell them the tire place said the battery was going - didn't want to pay for that too!Reviewed Oct 14 2017
