6,7 Good
Pros: Well situated
Cons: Room was nice and laid out well BUT the Room wasn’t very clean with holes in wall that haven’t been filled after what used to be there was removed, the mattress was old and worn, the bed squeaks with every movement so the whole corridor would know if you had sex. The bathroom was very unclean and not maintained with dirt build ups on the floor to mould on the bath sealant to the toilet flush not working 70% of the time.
4,2 Okay
Pros: Good size
Cons: Was called by the hotel too see what time we was booking in no mention of any restrictions on food in that phone call once at the hotel and payment had been made we were then informed we would not get the breakfast we’d just paid for that second as the restaurant was closed we could pay extra for an evening meal in our room ?? So the restaurant will cook an evening meal for extra cost but won’t cook a breakfast for your room which you’ve paid for no refund for the breakfast was offered or put the cost of breakfast we weren’t getting towards an evening meal once in the room the spa bath didn’t work it wasn’t even connected up to any air flow the knob just pulled out connecting to nothing there wasn’t a balcony as advertised no bidet as advertised the receptionist was totally uninterested in solving any problems her answer was for me to email the hotel I was in the hotel !!!! that’s once you’ve stood at reception for 30 mins waiting for her to show up
7,0 Good
Pros: Decent value for money. Comfy bed, but a little small for me. Breakfast was OK, but the full English was a bit oily.
Cons: Breakfast could have been cooked with a little more finesse & less oil. A larger bed would have been nice and a more modern shower; the hot/cold tap 'messing-about' to get the right shower temperature was a bit annoying!
8,0 Excellent
Pros: The rooms are a very good size and excellent value for money- £40 for a suite including wifi and breakfast. Wouldn't get a suite again though because it meant the tv wasn't in the bedroom and we like to watch TV in bed before we go to sleep. The welcome drink was a nice touch and the staff were friendly and helpful.
Cons: The breakfast wasn't great, it was full English but pre cooked and out on hot plates etc- none of it was very nice as I think they used very cheap low quality ingredients. Still couldn't complain for the price we paid for the room though.

7,0 Good
Pros: Good service all the staff were very helpful. The. room was comfortable. Close to railway station and the shopping centre.
Cons: No lift lots of stairs but managed with my disability. Hotel staff were helpful with my suitcase. Did not realise could have asked for ground floor room but none were available.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Staff was very friendly, lactation was excellent, breakfast was variable and lovely.
Cons: There was an awful sewage smell in the corridor and a generator kind of noise all night out side our window we had to have window open because it was hot. That this hotel only excepted card payment at the bar after 10 pm, we don’t carry cards and this ment that we stayed in local pub rather than coming back to hotel
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Location
Cons: First time stayed & room was slit bigger This time the room was smaller & very hot
7,0 Good
Pros: Location was perfect for our visit to The Lantern venue.
Cons: My room was very dated, but for the price I could not complain. Although other members of my party said their rooms were more modern & lovely.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Good choice
10,0 Excellent
Pros: All was fine
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Very helpful and friendly staff, excellent location over the road to the station, car park only 2 min walk from hotel over the road. My room was on the first floor so not having a lift didn't make any difference to me, I did see staff carrying luggage for someone who was on the third floor. My bed was really comfy, best night sleep I have had in any hotel. Great breakfast. I will definitely use this hotel again if I am in that area.

Pros: Friendly welcome - including a complimentary glass of wine. Beautiful room and location - especially the house itself and the gardens. Comfy bed, view of the hills. Evening meal was lovely high end cuisine- we went for the a la carte menu as it was Valentine's Day and the bar menu was not available. Breakfast was gorgeous too. We will definitely come back when the weather is better.
Cons: The weather (though there was nothing the hotel could have done about that). Service at the bar was a bit slow but that is because there was a large wedding party in when we stayed so I doubt this is the norm. As I say, we will definitely come back.
10,0 Excellent
Cons: Beautiful common areas and the bedroom was large and luxurious. The warm greeting from the resident cat was the icing on top.

Pros: Received a warm welcome on arrival and once unpacked met with friends in the bar which had a great atmosphere. The staff were pleasant and very accommodating. Our room was excellent and the next morning we enjoyed a delicious and nutritious breakfast that we couldn't fault, there was so much on offer from the healthy option to a guilty full English. Fantastic breakfast menu. Liked the set up to the breakfast room private and relaxed offering both self service for your continental fruit cereal options and table service for any cooked options coffee and teas. The breakfast staff were very helpful it was a lovely experience to the end of our stay. I would highly recommend your hotel. Thank you.
Cons: We were a little disappointed that our friends who reside in Halifax and had recommended your hotel for our visit were politely asked to vacate the hotel as they were non resident. We had turned in early to the hotel to enjoy a last round of drinks not a lock in so that was my only one gripe.

7,9 Good
Pros: Lovely place just taken over by old owners - they have plans for this place - room I was in was due for refurb- I ate out with friends in local town- the restaurant attached had a lovely looking menu and next time I stop will give it a try - The staff are great - helpful and very friendly
Cons: Due to the recent take over breakfast wasn’t really on but did do cereals and toast free so faultless for that - I will stop again for sure it will be amazing
7,0 Good
Pros: Lovely location and lovely staff
Cons: This will look lovely once the refurbished is done. However in the king room we stayed in it lacked a little as in cleanliness, we didn’t have any bedside lamps and really just little touches like that. As I say it is under refurb so I would definitely like to go back once this is done as it looks good so far.
