Pros: Super Clean & Quiet.
Cons: No
8,0 Excellent
Pros: The room was good; spacious, comfortable bed, warm, gas fireplace, kitchenette, better than average supplies (inc sweets), spacious walk-in shower room, and a garden view. Within walking distance of the lake, local restaurants, etc. Easy parking and ramps for access.
Cons: Not as rural a location as the online page/publicity intimates. No bath, just shower (albeit a good shower). The common entrance and area around the room is a little spartan. Reception was deserted upon arrival, so we had to phone the hotel, that said the receptionist was very nice when she arrived.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful, small, clean, attention to detail in every way possible. We spent our anniversary at Deerfield Inn, and it was perfect. There was a card and bottle of wine waiting for us! We don’t know if we will ever be back this way, but if we are, we will be staying here. We just want to mention, too, that the bed was super comfortable.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Very tidy and cozy! It made us feel very comfortable and safe! They provided continental breakfast which is very convenient for us. Inside our room, we found snacks, bottle water and candy as well. The bed is very comfortable and clean. The fireplace inside our room is very lovely and keeps us warm all night long. The stuff are very friendly and helpful! We highly recommend this hidden treasure at South Lake Tahoe and will come back here in the futucre!

Cons: Nothing - it was amazing!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The rooms were spacious, with new and stylish interiors. The staff were very friendly at recommending stuff today around the lake including a special festival taking place the weekend we were there. I appreciated the snacks in the room, and the spa-bath was excellent after a long-day hiking!
9,1 Excellent
Pros: The rooms have just been renevated. It's a small hotel. They were so nice. Actually called us to tell us the room was ready early. It is close to everything. The staff will help with recommendations from place to visit, things to do and yummy food, based on your preferences.
Cons: A nice bath mat would be appreciated on the stone floor. Hooks to hang up things in the bathroom. Another chair in the room would be nice.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: The room was very nice, large, with new bathroom and very nice kitchenette. They also had fire pits and chairs for outdoor relaxation. The kitchen came with a few snacks, as well.
Cons: The fireplace heater in the room was noisy and woke us up when the heat went on. I also had hoped for a room on the 1st floor, since we had a lot of luggage, and there wasn't an elevator, but I was told there wasn't one that was made up.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Very comfortable beautiful large rooms, central location in South Tahoe.
Cons: nothing negative to say
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful property. The ambiance was nice. Quiet and peaceful. We will definitely come back.

Pros: Our names were on our lodging door, we were warmly welcomed and made to feel like one of the family. We sat under the pines with a glass of wine while juice and crackers were served to the two children. The children identified this experience as much better than the house rented near Homewood! Top experience for hospitality!
Cons: Identified as a B&B, it was a bit more like a motel accommodation but all the hospitality of a B&B was present and accounted for - and deeply appreciated.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: My girlfriend and I had the best time here. The property is close to the town centre (10-15 min walk or less than 5 min drive) and to three of the best restaurants in South Lake Tahoe. Breakfast is simply amazing, with Linda making something new and fresh everyday. Don’t miss the happy hour between 5 and 6 pm and enjoy the company of Johan and Linda. Great, great, great. Bellissimo!

9,6 Excellent
Pros: Clean and comfortable. Very friendly staff. Great location.
Cons: A very minor negative issue was the electrical outlets wouldn’t hold my charger. The ac plugs may be old and worn. I broke my charger spreading the prongs apart to try and get it to not fall out. Bought a new charger and held it in the outlet with a pillow. Problem solved lol

Pros: Nice clean, quiet room. Comfortable bed. Soft sheets. Thick towels. Sound like home? Well kept property in South Lake Tahoe's stateline hotel area. The bathroom in our unit looked recently remodeled and they did a fantastic job in doing the work. What wasn't mentioned in their room descriptions was the fireplace heating unit in the room. It added yet another nice little touch of home. Owner and staff were very nice and helpful. Will definitely be booking Alpenrose Inn from now on when we go to Tahoe.

Cons: Nothing.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Multiple bedrooms and bathrooms, full kitchen, multiple living spaces, gorgeous views, beautiful living spaces, great for large groups.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Staff was wonderful! Best service I have ever had! From beginning to end!
7,7 Good
Pros: Great pool, fun activities for (older) kids.
Cons: Despite being on 5th floor, room still prone to all outside noise. Heard music from basecamp pizza which made bedtime and nap time really difficult for my 2 year old. Even white noise machine could not drown out the sound.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: I think the thing I liked most was the location. While the Gondola portion of Heavenly is not my most favorite, staying at the villas is just so convienent. Once you park you never really have to leave. Supermarket is across the street, cinemas are on site, so many good restaurants are also on site, there’s so much to do within walking distance. It’s really what sold me. Secondly, since there are so many nice places that offer the same close proximity of the gondola is the villa itself. We had plenty of room for our party of 7. We cooked most nights, then frequented the pool area. So relaxing. And very spacious. Not all accommodations can offer the room to stretch out with 7 persons in a room.
Cons: Maybe communications on what was going on activities wise. For instance I didn’t even know there was a ski check until the end of my stay, it could have made my stay so much easier by checking ski equipment rather than lugging it up to the room each day.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: I love that it is so convenient to everything! I only had to use my car twice during my whole trip. Everything was walking distance!
Cons: I'm not sure what had happened but my car had valet parking. And they returned my car with wheel/ tire was flat

Cons: Nothing!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Was such an amazing experience! Everyone was polite and got everything to us as soon as we requested it! Definitely will be going back
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Location was great, perfect for the lake. Jimmy's restaurant was very nice and the wait staff were great!
Cons: We booked a pet friendly room for our dog, we were told we could only stay on the ground floor next to the lake car park. It was very noisy and the nightly cost did not match my experience. I am a seasoned traveler and this was not good value for money.
9,1 Excellent
Pros: The staff, decor and small, thoughtful touches were great.
Cons: I thought the restaurant, Jimmys, was overpriced for the quality of the food. Menu did nothing for us.
10,0 Excellent

10,0 Excellent
Pros: This property is close, within walking distance to all the casinos and also the lake. The rooms are charming and have the feeling of old Tahoe. The rooms were very clean and well supplied for fixing meals. The staff was attentive to our needs and checked in everyday to see if everything was all right.
Cons: The only thing that we could have used, is a cutting board and Coffee filters.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The owners are so welcoming and always remember us! It is has a nice home like feeling. It is a short walk to the casinos and in summer there is a private beach, which is also a short walk/drive. Each cabin comes with table, chairs, queen bed, tv, mini electric fireplace And heat. It just a overall relaxing great place to stay it.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: The cottages are very nice but if you want a more rustic environment and more away from the main strip, choose somewhere else. If you want to be in the midst of all the casinos and restaurants, this place is wonderful.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice and cozy place. Location is perfect. Clean comfortable and the receptionist was very nice
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Very clean, friendly staff and you can't beat the location. Also dog friendly.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Knotty pine paneling, woodsy decor, charming homey bedspreads, decorative electric fireplace/heater on wall was pretty and fun to play with the various color combinations. It was very clean, yet it was funky and nonstandardized. Equipped with kitchen. Raccoons, squirrels, giant pine cones crashing on roof. Free live music right across street in outdoor area attached to another inn. Hosts were the owners; they and hired help were wonderful, down to earth people with strong personalities--I enjoyed them all immensely.
Cons: Bare floors were cold, but host provided a number of throw rugs which fixed the problem. Also, would have preferred lights less bright, wished they were equipped with dimmer switches.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Super clean, cozy and well updated. Nice place to come home to after lots of site seeing.
Cons: Expected more trees, pleasantly surprised location had a lot more to offer. Easy walk to beach area and brewery across the street.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We loved Doc’s Cottages! The staff are wonderful! The history is so cool! The cottage was so homey & comfy! The location was perfect! Close to beaches, shops, restaurants, & casino that we came to town to attend a concert, Los Lonely Boys! And the scenic views were beautiful. We didn’t want to leave! Thanks, Angie, Lloyd & Deb!
Cons: Nothing, it was all good!

5,8 Okay
Pros: Location was nice, close to lots of restaurants and shops. Right off of the main road so it’s easy to find and easy to access other locations on the lake as well.
Cons: There was no mention of the mandatory $30 per night valet parking when we booked. The “fireplace” in the room is simply one of those fake electric ones that you could hear the belt squeaking on every 5 seconds because the “fire” is actually just an image on a conveyor belt like system. Also, the fan for the fireplace would not turn on with it’s dedicated switch. The bed was so so. I guess I expected something a bit more plush for a 4 star hotel. Upon leaving we were told that there was an additional $85 dollars that would be coming out of our account as an incidental charge. When pressed further they mentioned the fee would likely be adjusted down to $58 dollars and it was. The issue was that while this may simply be a glorified cleaning fee, it was also never mentioned while booking the hotel plus my wife and I kept the place extremely clean. We pulled the towels for the cleaning service, we remade the bed, any used dishes or items were neatly left in the sink or dishwasher. Our little weekend stay ended up costing us an extra $130 just in hotel fees. This seemed like a lot considering the two nights already cost us roughly $350. Overall this hotel is overpriced and therefore we will not be returning.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: The location was perfect. Staff was friendly and helpful. The room exceeded expectations.
Cons: We had a very long walk to our room on the first floor. We had a problem connecting to the internet service the whole time we were in our room. I could not connect with my daughter regarding her wedding that was taking place during our stay or to make dinner plans with my sister, which caused me to become frustrated and angry. A maintenance person said it was due to the location of the room. The beds were hard and we had a trouble sleeping.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Clean, dining in walking distance, friendly staff
Cons: Nothing
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was comfortable
9,4 Excellent
Cons: Nice if you’re taking advantage of location and hotel offers
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The programs the resort offers and the pool.
Cons: Nope
9,6 Excellent
Cons: I used booking.com to reserve the room and asked for an accessible room. Upon arrival they read the request... not before. They told me they could not give me an accessible room unless I cancel my reservation with the third party. I could not cancel. So I said this room with the tub was going to be unsafe and we will need to leave the hotel. Shortly after that, the hotel upgraded us to a safe room for my husband. It was a good move for management to make.. especially since the hotel was almost empty as we were there off season.

Cons: No all was perfect
8,0 Excellent

9,1 Excellent
Pros: Location was great, room was quiet and clean (we had a one bedroom suite) I would definitely stay here again and bring our kids next time.
Cons: Bed was too soft, heater in master bath was broken, HBO kept cutting out while trying to watch Game of Thrones!! Parking lot was being redone while we were there so we kept having to rotate where we parked but it wasn't a huge deal

Cons: As in the rest of California, expensive for mid season (autumn).

Cons: doesn't offer breakfast deals and other add-ons that other local hotels do.
10,0 Excellent

5,0 Okay
Pros: No breakfast available
Cons: dated finishes and outdated tubs
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The jacuzzi and double showers were amazing.
Cons: Got checked in the wrong room. Another staff member fixed the mistake after we found out we couldn’t open the door to the room.
2,0 Mediocre
Pros: The bed was comfortable.
Cons: Avoid unless you love excessive noise. You will be treated to hearing the room next doors spa, AC, toilet flushing, showers VERY loudly inside your room at all hours of the night and early morning. We sadly had two nights booked. We turned of our AC as we did not pack industrial rated earplugs to deafen the unbelievable drone of the AC in cooling mode. The staff are well aware of the noisey plumbing. I was told by the receptionist that they do not recommend their guests restrict the hours of spa usage. Mind you the spa is only one excessive problem this hotel has... AVOID
10,0 Excellent

7,0 Good
Pros: Great hotel, AMAZING LOCATION - Lake Tahoe is an absolutely beautiful place to stay, we stayed in the Autumn so the colors were beautiful. Lake Tahoe has many beautiful shops and boutiques and is worth a visit.
5,0 Okay
Pros: The staff was extremely nice and helpful. Good location.
Cons: The bed was too soft for us. Every time someone closed a door on the floor beneath us the room shook. Multiple bulbs burned out in the room. The room was bright even with the curtains closed The TV was broken. The remote didn't work besides the power buttons so you couldn't change the channel. the fridge didn't work. The couch was extremely uncomfortable to sit on. Like sitting on a brick wall. It said it had a shower for two but the shower heads were so close together it made having two pointless. We stayed in room 138. Maybe avoid this room if you're going to stay here, others may be nicer and in better shape.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Hot tub and comfy bed
Cons: There were left over petal leaves under the couch. The room was probably not clean properly. But I picked up the leaves and threw it away. and one of our blanket had a yellow sting on it.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: No complaints here. Stayed in one of the standard rooms. Very spacious with a BIG jetted tub. Staff was all very nice and helpful. Location was great, and parking was easy.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is pretty decent. The remodel is nice, there are still a few things that need taken care of. The spa baths should be replaced. All in all it was a great stay and the staff is friendly and helpful.

Pros: Location is great, Just across from the village. Staff was friendly through the whole experience.
Cons: Room smelled musty or moldy, ceiling fan was broken, smoke detector was broken. No air conditioning.
3,7 Mediocre
Pros: The location is great because it's one of the closest motels to the Heavenly downtown. Cheap.
Cons: Dirty, broken window and furniture, no towels etc, unorganized staff, ANTS!!!!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Really friendly and helpful staff members . Very convenient location, walking distance to local restaurants/casino/lake.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Room was clean. A/C unit under window is upgraded to electronic one, and it works quietly. Great location. It's few steps from Heavenly village, and it's about 10 minutes walking distance to lake beach. Staff were nice and accommodating. Check in was quick. The price was great! We paid about $60 per night on weekend in November .
Cons: Small room for two full beds. Narrow space between beds, and no walking space around beds. To get to the closet you have to squiz between a wall and a bed. Very tiny bathroom with tiny shower and with tiny sink. It's too cold in bathroom. Bathroom doesn't have air heater. To warm up the bathroom you need to keep door open to let warm air from bedroom to flow in.
3,6 Mediocre
Pros: The location and proximity to Harvey's (we went to a concert) is the only decent thing about this place.
Cons: The room smelled like chemicals/disinfectant, although the room did have a mini fridge it was put it such a weird place that you had to climb on and around one side if the bed to get to it. The shower was so desperately in need of remodeling the tile literally was stained with mold. The beds were in need if new pillows and an updated blanket/bedspread. I was honestly afraid to climb in. All this for $188/night. Wow!!!
10,0 Excellent
Cons: Very inviting. Excellent location. And beautiful room.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Great location, value, and cleanliness.
Cons: Office had strong food odor and towels were very dingy.
6,5 Good
Pros: The location. You're walking distance from everything. Right in the center. But you're off the Main Street, which makes getting your car out way easier.
Cons: It's kind of run down and scary haha But my opinion is, I don't plan to spend my vacation in a hotel room. So it was ok.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: New rooms.
Cons: Parking can be a challenge.

8,0 Excellent
Pros: Great location, great amenities, cool re-updated motel. Within walking distance of shops, the lake, the casinos, restaurants and Heavenly Ski resort.
Cons: We were placed on the 2nd floor right below an observation deck that didn't close until 10pm. All of the kids running around, using the corn hole, etc. could be heard (unfortunately we had to kick a 10-15 person party off the roof because my wife was sick and it was very loud in our room).
