Pros: Breakfast was wonderful with a choice of hot items and a great buffet of local produce. Great parking underneath the hotel and its free. The staff are outstanding and fun with a great welcome and some excellent choices of local places to eat. One of the best places we've ever stayed in.
Cons: Nothing, A pool to cool off after sightseeing would be the icing on the cake!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Centrally located within the old town, this is a gem of a hotel. Very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable staff. Breakfast was fantastic and seemed locally sourced and farm fresh. As a bonus the hotel recommends the top dining place in Evora which we made use of on 2 nights and it was an unforgettable culinary experience. Our checkout was at 6 a.m. and the staff actually made arrangements to have breakfast ready at that time!!
Cons: Everything was excellent here.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was incredibly attentive and went out of their way to make us welcome and content. The breakfast was excellent and the room was very clean and comfortable.
Cons: We liked everything about this hotel
7,0 Good
Pros: Staff very very helpful; breakfast excellent; historic building and all public areas of the hotel were renovated nicely and maintained historic character of the hotel. Breakfast excellent. Parking and secure. Staff genuinely interested in service.
Cons: Rooms were dated and decorating was quite stalk. This was the only disappointment in hotel.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The clean simplicity of the very comfortable large bedrooms and public rooms. The welcoming staff in all departments. The location. Easy parking on site. Lovely courtyard. The breakfast spread with home baked goodies and fabulous coffee, fresh sweet fruit and lots more.
Cons: My neighbour watching TV at midnight with the volume control on maximum.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: First of all, the service was exceptional! The room was spacious and clean with a very comfortable bed. Shower had plenty of pressure and hot water. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of choices. A perfect stay!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect service; Phantastic breakfast
10,0 Excellent
Pros: This is a wonderful small hotel in a great location. We stayed in the smaller “classic” rooms and they were very attractive and comfortable. Every part of the premises we saw was impeccably clean. The breakfast is a stand-out: a wide range of carefully selected and prepared items; excellent coffee/capuchino/latte; made-to-order hot items. The staff were superb: warm, welcoming, and professional. They went out of their way to anticipate every need, and were very proactive about providing information about local attractions. We recommend it without hesitation.
Cons: Nothing! We had a lovely stay.
9,2 Excellent

Cons: No issues

Imani Country House - Evora - Bedroom

9,4 Excellent (217 reviews)
R2 553+
Overview Reviews
Located in Evora, Imani Country House is in a rural location, within a 15-minute drive of Cromeleque dos Almendres and Anta Grande do Zambujeiro. Featured amenities include express check-in, express check-out, and multilingual staff. Free self parking is available onsite.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Very interesting and magical place. If you like peace and quiet, this is it. I spent three days in there and I loved it. It is very close to Evora, which is the must see town. It is the place to stay for that special experience (nerve sanatorium).
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Large rooms and area to sit outside rooms. Lovely food and service. Peace and quiet.
Cons: Honestly it was amazing. If I was being picky, I would say that the pillows are too hard- but seriously? That’s more of a personal preference.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Silence, all arranged, clean, swimming pool, breakfast
9,6 Excellent
Pros: We loved our relaxed weekend getaway at Imani Guesthouse. Our suite was roomy, well appointed and felt truly luxurious, and lounging by the pool and surrounding citrus groves was wonderful. Highly, highly recommend if you want to get away from it all.
Cons: Nothing at all! However you should be looking to stay somewhere somewhat remote as it's 20 minutes to Evora
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Really nice place. Remote, elegant, comfortable and with atention to details. The property is a gem, its size localisation and natural diversity provide different atmospheres so you can experience a very different stay by spending time in different "corners" of the property. The suite we stayed in was very very spacious; stylish and design but still cosy. Breakfast was good, not a huge selection but frankly enough and all good and fresh products.
Cons: Despite not willing to say anything negative because we loved our stay and found everything else perfect, we feel that the quality of the dinner served was too weak no to be mentioned. The selection is short, which would be acceptable if good, but each of the 5 dishes we ordered was acceptable only. Nothing scandalous but just really not good enough, canteen like. Since the hotel is a bit remote it can be nice to stay in for dinner, but a very big improvement is needed, otherwise it’s not worth it and can even leave a bitter mark on the whole stay, especially in a country where food is normally so good
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Absolutely incredible! No fault to find at all and we have extended our stay. Food and wine are exquisite and the staff are lovely. We have been made to feel very welcome but at the same time the staff are completely respectful of our own space and time. The perfect retreat in stunning surroundings, we will definitely return!! Thank you so much Imani Country House! ☺️
Cons: Nothing......Everything fabulous!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful setting and wonderful staff!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful place to escape to in the middle of nowhere.

Pros: Built with love , hosted with beauty. Absolutely perfect !

6,3 Good
Pros: Helpful and friendly staff, room is clean
Cons: If bathroom’s footmat would change each day, that will be good. From parking to rooms there is sandy passway, if it could turn to be paved, it would be convenient for guests who have large suitcases.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff, fantastic dinner at their restaurant. Comfortable bed.
Cons: Nothing
10,0 Excellent
Pros: This is a beautiful rural property with grape vines and olive trees and a well-appointed house and pool. Everything was immaculate and very thoughtfully planned. We loved our break from the cities and the exceptional staff, especially Anna, who were very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed a great night’s sleep and a delicious breakfast. We would definitely return!
7,9 Good
Pros: The place where the Casa is at is great. The pool is good and the rooms are big and clean. The interior of the house is beautiful. Ok breakfast.
Cons: The value for money is not great in my opinion. The property inside is great but the outdoor space seems a little put aside. The area near the pool should have some maintenance. Staff seemed a little lost sometimes.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: This is the second time I have stayed at this hotel and I'll be sure to be back. The house is absolutely beautiful and the suite made us feel so pampered. A couple of my friends on the trip had also stayed at the Luxury Collection Hotel down the road and said that the Casa is a far nicer experience and that rooms are decorated much more tastefully. I always want to thank the staff who arranged the most incredible food for us - both the nibbles on the first night and an exquisite three course dinner under the stars for an absolute steal! I can't recommend this place enough.
10,0 Excellent

Pros: The location was breathtaking. The staff were friendly, patient with native English speakers, and the stay was unforgettable. I travelled with my mother from the United States and we would stay here again and again! The town and Pousada were beyond expectations. Obrigada!
Cons: Nothing. Everything was amazing! Except for the hard beds, but that might be a personal preference:)
7,1 Good
Pros: The location is great right in the center of town. The renovation of the convent into the hotel is clever. The staff was very nice.
Cons: The renovation could be updated. Our first room was essentially underground with a small window--however, the staff was very nice and they did upgrade us to a better room with better windows. Also, the bed and bath could be updated. The breakfast was good but the coffee not great. Right now the hotel is fine but not a luxury hotel.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful historic building.
Cons: Bathroom no 5-star level.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: You can do much better in Evora for dinner. The bar, however, was excellent

The pool is nice and clean, the bedrooms are nice as well. The breakfast is simple but with natural and good products, and the quantity is enough for any eaters! We highly recommend it if you wanna have a calm and peaceful retreat near Evora. You’ll need the car to get to the city!

Pros: Good restaurant with nice staff. Very good breakfast. New and modern room with a balcony, however with an ordinary street view.

Cons: Couple of small things that really not worth writing down.
10,0 Excellent

Cons: The limited spa slots available. Suggest to increase manpower during peak hours. Pretty sure most people are out and about during the day time.
7,9 Good
Pros: The room was very nice, great bed and nice balcony with great view, the hotel has a great vibe and great breakfast area with also great view. Breakfast was really good

Pros: Location, clean modern room
Cons: Staff untrained and unresponsive
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Huge room. Great breakfast and swimming pool. Walking distance to the center.
Cons: Works on the SPA
7,5 Good
Pros: Location is great, in walking distance to every corner of the inner city; parking garage was handy; size of room great, facing the garden (those in 1st floor facing the „city“ actually face a huge wall from the neighbour‘s house); cleanliness and reduced design
Cons: - attitude of service crew; I was unaware of the maintenance of the Spa area; upon my remark of surprise, the front desk lady was not apologetic, but got defensive and took a long moment to book a room herself on her mobile and finally presented a note mentioning that the Spa is temporarily closed down (hidden in a sub-site on the final order page of booking.com - well done for this transparency!) - I ordered a smaller pillow, as offered by the hotel; it never arrived in my room - The plug in the bath tub did not seal off completely, so I couldn‘t take a bath (since I was pouring wet after a rain shower, I longed for some warmth); there was no one available to fix it - The breakfast was average, just like a canteen; also the room was dark, and the waiter service slow - For this experience, ways overpriced!
8,3 Excellent
Pros: The staff was quite friendly. The common spaces were clean and with a good atmosphere, wide variety on breakfast
Cons: Some small details need renovations. No staff to attend the outside seating in pool bar.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: A lovely hotel, easy access to the old city, the room was large and comfortable. The food and wine was great

9,2 Excellent
Pros: Lovely suite which we were not expecting. Delicious breakfast. Charming receptionist - Ana
Cons: Quite a lot of the upholstered chairs had water marks on, where chairs had been inexpertly cleaned, I presume. This was a little off putting, and could easily solved by getting professional cleaners in. Bar staff were reluctant to be helpful.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Nice resort-style property in the walled city. We had a garden level room that looked out on the courtyard. Staff was great, and the breakfast spread was the best of the entire trip--it was a feast! Pool was lovely and not too busy while we were there. The room itself was spacious, comfy bed, and quiet. Parking was a nice perk as well.

Pros: Everything was as expected for the price paid. So no complaints. Breakfast was ok, but not outstanding. Breakfast room was very clean but comfort and general lay out could be improved. Staff was very kind and willing to help. This hotel is certainly value for money.
Cons: Breakfast room lay out and furniture. And decoration in general.

Pros: Great old classic property. So special to stay in something with some history. And our host was a kind, dignified gentleman.
Cons: Could have been a bit cleaner. Would have liked a better breakfast.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: This was a rare opportunity to stay in a historic house right in the centre of Evora with a kind and gracious host. We slept in an antique bed, surrounded by old furniture. Francisco told us a little of his family history. Things are old and it shows, but still a great stay.
Cons: There was no television or radio in the room, so if you miss those, then this is not for you.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: Central location. We were able to walk everywhere.
Cons: Parking was an issue. The hotel is located on a street where cars are not allowed. We had to park about 4-5 blocks away. To park we had to buy tickets for a 4 hour time period. Fortunately, there is no charge from 7:30pm - about 9 am.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Very pleasant hotel extremely well situated in the center of Evora. Most points of interest are within 2 minutes and there is a large choice of places for dinner. Our room had a lot of character in this ancient building with its unusual red bricks ceiling. Very warm and attentionate welcome. Breakfast was fine and the beds comfortable.
Cons: The breakfast room a bit small and rapidly saturated with other hosts, but it's a minor point. The major problem was when tourists walk around in this little street talking or laughing loud. Ear plugs were then a blessing ! Important if you drive when you book there : it is better to mention that you need a parking space. We had not done it but we could find a parking space just a minute or two where we had to pay some money to leave the car. Not such a bad problem.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Great location, clean room.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: Really lovely pool, clean rooms. Good atmosphere and amazing breakfast. All very well organised

Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, a 24-hour front desk, and multilingual staff. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The value of is unbelievable. In the heart of the historic city of evora. A 4-star hotel including breakfast for under $100. There is limited parking for a small fee but we parked five-minute walk away for free. Great breakfast in nice facilities. We had a room with a lovely Terrace.
Cons: Really nothing bad to say. There was a very slight smell in the room but ever so slight but they provided essential oil fragrance which compensated quite adequately. Coffee maker and mini fridge in the room
5,8 Okay
Pros: breakfast and location excellent
Cons: One bedside table and reading light for a double room wasn't what I'd expect from a quite expensive 4 star hotel The shower had mould on the tiles. Bathroom floor tiles dangerously slippery when wet. Be warned that parking is charged daily.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is beautifully restored and in a fab location. Breakfast on an open air terrace great.
Cons: We were lucky to get one of only six car parking spots in the courtyard, bad luck and a hell of a climb for those not so fortunate. You can't book a space so arrive early. Also this is not a hotel for the faint hearted we had to lug our luggage up a very long and steep stair case.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Location was great. They had a nice breakfast. Concierge was very helpful with restaurant suggestions and helping us hire a car to Porto.
Cons: It was difficult to get a drink outside restaurant hours.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Very relaxed. Breakfasts were good. Rooms were spacious. Comfortable beds. Very pleasant and professional staff.
Cons: No complementary tea or coffee in the room. Instead a charge of 2.50 euros a cup! Seems unnecessarily mean for a four star hotel or, for that matter, any hotel
8,0 Excellent
Pros: It is a unique property as a part of the old city of Evora. They have worked with the existing buildings to turn it into a hotel. There are a maze of stairways to get to rooms. This is not a place for those who cannot walk well. It is a lovely city and you feel l transported in time.
Cons: Finding the hotel is difficult, even with GPS. Parking is even more of a challenge. The directions should be much more explicit up front. Going through the trouble is definitely worth the effort.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful property, friendly staff and the most amazing breakfast.
Cons: Bit of a climb with heavy luggage. Parking was an issue but that’s to be expected in a walled city.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Excellent breakfast & dining room. Very clean. Café Americana
Cons: One chair in room, one small table. Short on furniture. Shower is poorly designed, water everywhere. Staff slow to make up room, around 05:00 PM.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Great location in the old city. Our room had a spectacular view to the eastern countryside.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Location was excellent. Great breakfast (best we have had in Portugal). Staff were very helpful. Terrace off the eating area was a wonderful place to have a glass of wine and relax.
Cons: A couple of minor things. A bedside table at each side of the bed with lamps would have been nice. The bathroom should have at least one shelf big enough for shaving kits/makeup bags.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: Right in the city centre, you can find a lot of great places to eat just outside the hotel. Really clean and modern rooms. Totally recomended. Our host was also very friendly and she gave us a lot of good advices regarding both Evora and all the surroundings.
9,7 Excellent
Pros: Friendly and helpful. Great recommendations on restaurants.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: I was a single traveler in double room 3.3. Room is very good size. Excellent location in the main plaza. Desk with chair. Friendly, informative & accommodating staff; I felt like family. Lots of local information. My room had a great view of the medieval Sé Cathedral. Breakfast adequate with drip or espresso coffee. A nice & comfortable all-hours lobby lounge with libations. Easy walk to & from the local bus station. The staff recommended a free evening multi-media live concert of “Omiri” in one of the old town squares that turned out to be the best local cultural experience I attended in all of Portugal during my 4 weeks in Lusitania!!!
Cons: Nothing, really. However, the shower was small, & the room came with a gymnasium-style locker which didn’t have anything flat inside to lay your baggage on. But this was really insignificant compared to all the positives that came with the property. If I’m Évora again, I would stay here without hesitation!
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location on the main square. Staff very helpful and friendly. Coffee and tea available all hours. Also port. Communal area with china and cutlery. Huge room.
Cons: Reception two floors up and no lift. Room a further flight up.
8,5 Excellent
Pros: staff was soooooo nice! we only stayed one night, but it was perfect for that
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Everything very nice
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful and one of the best guest houses we have been so far. Perfect location, next to the main square of Evora. Very pretty studio with perfect balcony (with bath!) and major view. Clean and modern. Breakfast was good, simple but enough options, especially for the price (5€ p.p.p.n).
Cons: Nothing!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location, Cristina and David's courtesy
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Great location, parked outside wall for free and was able to walk everywhere from the Inn
Cons: Being near the square meant party goers didn’t go home early
7,1 Good
Pros: This is a very basic facility. Clean, centrally located, with lovely staff. The breakfast was okay and the manager gave us a great dinner recommendation. Choupana.
Cons: Street noise was extreme. Traffic, loud singing by groups of kid past midnight.
7,9 Good
Pros: The location was excellent as it is only steps from the main plaza. The staff were also very helpful and friendly and went out of their way to help us with requests.
Cons: There is no elevation in the Inn and the reception is on the 3rd floor ( second floor in Europe) so you have to climb a number of very high stairs just to get to the reception or your room. They do arrange to carry your luggage up for us, but there still is a lot of stairs to go up and down every time you come and go. The shower is quite literally the smallest I have ever seen and I have traveled extensively throughout Europe. Every time I moved or raised by arms in the shower, it would hit the handle and the water would change from hot to cold or off completely.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Great location - v. close to the center, where everything is. Just a few minutes to the cathedral, the roman temple, etc. The host was great, offering samples of wine, and port. There is a nice place to eat breakfast, even if you are not buying it at the hotel.
Cons: Toilets clogged, and flooded both bathrooms on our floor. We were told this was the third time this year, and that they will be working on the problem. It is desperately needed, since we did not do anything crazy with the toilet... Historical building, I understand that it happens, and will come here again, once they fix the issue.

This hotel features 129 square feet (12 square meters) of event facilities.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We had buffet dinner which was outstanding value for money and the food was delicious. We consider that meal the best value and best tasting on our entire holiday through Morocco, Portugal and Spain! The reception staff were extremely professional, courteous and helpful. Great location near to the old town and places of interest.
Cons: The only way to get breakfast coffee was from a slow machine, always people waiting in quite a line and the cappuccino was truly dreadful. Could not drink it. Perhaps it would be better if they had jugs of prepared coffee.
2,5 Mediocre
Pros: I did not like anything.
Cons: Extremely inconsiderate and insensitive. We had booked 4 hotels in Portugal but my wife's mother was rushed to hospital with a serious illness. The other three hotels refunded our money. This one insisted on a medical report which we sent and they still refused to refund even a penny. I would not recommend it to anybody.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was delicious and staff was very courteous.
Cons: There were no parking facilities.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice location just outside of the city, but at a 10-min walk to its very center (Evora is not too vast). Good breakfast with many local pastries. The hotel centers, like a cloister, around a swimming pool. Extremely helpful reception staff.
Cons: Cleaning ladies don't bother for you if you're there just for a short stay. Negotiate with them, otherwise keep your room clean yourself. Sometimes there will be noise, especially if you're on the side adjacent to ring-road.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff. Value for its money. Maybe a bit outdated furniture but very clean.
6,3 Good
Pros: Stayed here one night, hotel is quite old and rundown, but it's in a good location and an easy walk to the cathedral and main part of town. And plenty of parking available across the road.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: A very good low priced hotel ..Has good facilities ..good location and is value for money
7,9 Good
Pros: The hotel is perfectly located, close to the historic centre. Nice and not expensive buffet dinner in the hotel restaurant
7,9 Good
Pros: Nice hotel and adequately suited our needs. Lovely pool in a nice setting. Good buffet breakfast.
Cons: Hard beds.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: I had stayed here a few years ago and remembered it as an oasis in one of the hottest cities in Portugal.During the afternoons when most of the sights are closed and the heat is extreme it is great to cool off in the pool and relax around it. Rooms are clean and spacious with balcony.Staff friendly. A few minutes walk uphill to the old town centre.5 minute walk from the Train Station for services to Lisbon etc.
Cons: A bit expensive and breakfast not included for the booking price.
