10,0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly atmosphere. Great history. Immaculate rooms. Excellent and considerate staff. Huge selection for breakfast.
Cons: Would have liked barista coffee and while it is in no way their fault, the local milk is not great (for coffees etc). Maybe cream would be an option.
6,5 Good
Cons: It is getting a bit old.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Professional and friendly staff
Cons: Nothing
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent breakfast. Great choice
Cons: People sometimes had to wait to be seated at breakfast and were left standing at the doorway for sometimes a few minutes whilst tables were being prepared, not what one would expect from a 5 star hotel. Also some staff took away your plates too soon. The breakfast room seemed a little understaffed at times. The decor in the bar could be a little brighter. Pool area and service excellent.
9,5 Excellent
Pros: The style of the Hotel, classic and dependable
Cons: The hotel was great, a little disappointing was noise during the day from adjacent park
9,5 Excellent
Pros: I like the location. It’s a fine place to be, excellent food and service, especially Mr. Julio, the a being Masero Next to the bar in the little Restaurant. He is very polite and very knowledgeable.i enjoy his company.
Cons: The bed was too soft, so were the pillows. They should have firmer, and the mattress needs to be firm as well. You suffer on your spine if you sleep on a soft bed.
9,5 Excellent
Pros: Swimming pool and sun lounger terrace, calm atmosphere. Enjoyed the bar and restaurants. Very easy to walk to the station in order to travel to Lisbon.
6,8 Good
Pros: Storied
Cons: Terrible location. Bleak depressing casino nearby. Awful kids’ fair playing deafening music throughout.
10,0 Excellent
Cons: Superb hotel with fantastic staff that are attentive to your requirements. Great location close to the sea and a pleasant walk to the nearby town of Cascais.
9,5 Excellent
Pros: Incredible staff, PERFECT location in Estoril. 35 mins to Lisboa in train (5 minutes walking distance from the hotel) and Cascais is 15 min walking. You should stay in this hotel if you are planning to visit Portugal.
Cons: They didn't have sleep masks so the light entered the room so early!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: One problem was the very loud funfair in the gardens in front of hotel, which went from 9am to 8pm. Terrible noise.

Pros: Very clean, had our own balcony. Beach , shops restaurants only 10 min walk away. Cascais was a 45 min walk along the promenade. Train 15 min walk away. Fernando was very helpful.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: This is such a lovely place to stay. Fernando is the most charming host-always wanting to ensure his guests comfort . Attention to detail and cleanliness is second to none. Lovely breakfast with fresh products on the balcony. Just a few minutes walk down to the sea and the promenade along the front through Estoril to Cascais. Beaches clean , lots of loungers for hire and places to eat. The pool at the property is great too-lovely and peaceful. We would not hesitate to recommend this property for a stay in Estoril-with beautiful Lisbon only 30 minutes away by train. So you have beaches , city and top quality accommodation-the best of all worlds . Our bed extremely comfortable -with a choice of pillows , excellent bathroom with large shower . could not fault Dolce Vita .we will return
9,5 Excellent
Pros: Absolutely fabulous. My husband and I throughly enjoyed our stay. Dolce Vita is spotlessly clean, spacious, and very secure. Thankyou Fernando for making us feel so welcome and sharing your knowledge of Lisbon.
Cons: You do need to be relatively fit to walk from Dolce Vita to the beach and restaurants, and train station. However it is only a 10minute walk.
7,5 Good
Pros: Host Fernando has given us very good tips where to go, including restaurants, beaches, things to see. We liked the place as a B&B and explore the area by car. We had the impression that without a car, your options are limited. The facility is guarded, has the swimming pool which we have not used but seemed nice enough. A big cmpliment to the host and staff as they make it comfortable, including special requests for breakfast food.
Cons: It is all about perception - you have to realise that this is an appartment in a an appartment building in an urban area. This is not a hotel but a B&B or as its called, a guest house. And a fine one too! But, as some others write here, that implies that you share your privacy with the host (and other guests obviously). No problem for us, these are very nice people, but if you want to be completely on your own, this may not be the place for you to go to. Some noise in the area (dogs, motor mowers).
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Fernando is a master host. Couldn't be better. Facilities are modern and clean.
Cons: All good.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Location, the room was very homely.
Cons: Nothin
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Great host
5,5 Okay
Pros: The apartment was very clean, breakfast was good with a variety of different breads, spreads and fruit.
Cons: It was an apartment, in an apartment block, not a guest house. The owner said he lived upstairs. Upstairs actually meant the mezzanine area above the living area. We were really conscious of the fact he was around all the time and felt we couldn’t relax. He gave very precise instructions for things like how to open a door/window. It was rather an odd set up really and made us feel uncomfortable. I went with a friend, I doubt I would have stayed there alone. And definitely over priced for what it was! I think this should be advertised as an airbnb and at a lower price, as you’re staying in someone’s apartment/home.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Everything.
Cons: Nothing
8,8 Excellent
Pros: The host Fernando is excellent & the pool handy in hot weather.
Cons: Wish there were tea/coffee making facilities available & a mini fridge in room.

Cons: -
8,8 Excellent
Pros: We had a very comfortable 3-night stay at this small hotel in Monte Estoril. Perfectly located for the beach and main coastal train line. It is not a modern hotel but the bathroom was large, everything worked and we had a very warm welcome.
5,0 Okay
Pros: Spacious room with big balcony
Cons: Very noisy, especially the entrance door. Instead of fixing the door there is a paper saying : „close door with force until tight.“ Very noisy street as well . Breakfast was a desaster, very poor and for a decent coffee you need to pay one Euro extra.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Good location, staff very helpful
Cons: N/a
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Location very good. Welcoming and friendly staff nothing to much trouble. Very good breakfasts. Quirky and interesting accommodation. There was complimentary drinks available which was a nice touch.
Cons: Although the hotel couldn't do anything about it there was a problem with barking dogs at night. Traffic noise.
9,3 Excellent
Pros: The host Fátima was helpful, she did the utmost to provide in our needs.
Cons: The ventilation in the bathroom could be improved, the fan didn't expel the humidity sufficiently, making the bathroom humid and damp after using, unless you keep the door open over night.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Loved the old house and it's history.
9,3 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable rooms and centrally located. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The welcome drink and home made cake are very much appreciated.
Cons: It’s a bit noisy. Breakfast could have had a little more choice.
9,3 Excellent
Pros: Sofia the owner and the other ladies made me feel very welcome and at home. They are like a little family and you don’t feel like you are travelling alone. The property is well located, 5-10 minute walk to beaches and the train station, and small cluster of shops and restaurants nearby. There is also a bus that takes you to Sintra 1 minute walk from the house.
Cons: Nothing

10,0 Excellent
Pros: Great breakfast, nice staff.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: very good variety everything was delicious. croissant where amazing
Cons: maybe a shuttle to the beach or casino
9,5 Excellent
Pros: Quirky hotel with lots of charm. Room 024 in New section beautiful. Fantastic bathroom and loads of space. Due to a maintenance issue Thanks to Louis in reception we were immediately looked after and allocated Room 206. Very nice room but bathroom very small. Huge balcony overlooking the sea. Would definitely prefer room in New section.
Cons: In room 206 Mattress cover was plastic which made the bed very uncomfortable. We took it off and all was well. Difficult to understand why they don't use cotton cover. No marmalade at breakfast. Coffee not great.
9,5 Excellent
Pros: Hotel is very comfortable, partly ultra modern partly colonial type with old style furnishing and rooms with high ceilings, decor throughout very quirky, the interior designer was obviously slightly eccentric with a great sense of humour. Breakfast amazing with huge choice to suit all tastes. Car parking free for up to six cars.
Cons: Our room was directly above the hotel bar which had music playing from 0700-0001,which became a problem in the quieter hours pre midnight as we could hear the music in our room. To their credit when we pointed it out to reception they made sure it was turned off every night at midnight and not left droning on till the small hours.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: There was an new annex with very nice rooms. Original style. The pool and the terrace with a view. A nice breakfast in a pleasant room, with good service. The combination of an old grand hotel with modern flair. The location in the center of Estoril.
Cons: An unfriendly welcome at the reception and the same attitude when we wanted to rent a bike. Seeing the efforts the hotel did to make a pleasant ambiente you would expect a more positive approach towards the customer.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Polite Staff, cleanliness, perfect location.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Great friendly staff, nothing too much trouble
4,2 Okay
Cons: This hotel is really over-rated. In the standard of the United States, this hotel's rating should be 2.5, not 4.0. It is really misleading to list this hotel as a four star hotel. On the second day of our stay, the hotel did not have hot water in the morning, and we had to cold shower in middle of January. My wife got a little sick afterward. The hotel room is small, and there is unpleasant smell in the room and also from the shower curtain.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: It was quirky and interesting. Staff were the most helpful and friendliest if ever met
Cons: I liked everything about it.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Loves the pool and the room
7,5 Good
Pros: Well, the Inglaterra is 2 minutes from the Centro de Congresos, so if you're traveling for a conference, the location couldn't be better. I also liked the spacious bathroom and – bonus! – the welcome gift of two chocolate leaves by Porto manufactory Arcadia. (There's a store down towards the railway station, looking at the park, absolutely recommended.) Breakfast was good and sustaining (it somehow didn't feel _great_, just good, but that's a feeling).
Cons: The hotel is in a Belle Époque building, and some parts (like the wardrobe in the room) seem run-down. Plus, there were some strange little nuisances like the safe locker not working or one morning when they didn't open breakfast until 7:30, and some 40 of us were standing there waiting.

8,0 Excellent
Pros: Cleanliness, pool, breakfast was good.friendly staff.
4,5 Okay
Pros: Very clean room Free parking Easy check-in
Cons: Air conditioning was centrally controlled so room was way too hot and staff were uninterested in resolving this. Pillows disintegrated and there weren’t enough of them. Beds very hard and uncomfortable. Breakfast totally uninspiring Staff borderline rude. Underground car park very steep slope and small so difficult to manoeuvre car.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: A small hotel which we really can recommend. Better than the 2-stars it has. On a quiet side street, close to the beach and a small super market. Great pool and good breakfast
Cons: Wish there had been sun beds at the pool
9,5 Excellent
Pros: Amazing value for money. You can tell the owners take pride in this place. Everything is immaculate. Lots of fresh fruit and baked goods at breakfast. The pool was really clean.
5,5 Okay
Pros: Clean room and awesome view! Parking lots. Great for families.
Cons: We couldn’t sleep at all. You can hear almost every step from the next door. We had people talking loud until 1am. The next day the same thing started around 7am. I assume that this place is visited mostly from families, so not the perfect place if you want to have silence and relax.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: I love this hotel. Any time I travel to Portugal, I stay in this hotel.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: This was the perfects place for us. We could glimpse the sea from the balcony where we spent evenings enjoying the rooftops view and during the day cooled down in the splendid pool. The hotel was just a short walk from the beach and several restaurants although we were nicely filled from the continental breakfast. The whole hotel and grounds were thoughtfully modernised retaining the elegance of the villa.
Cons: Nothing

Pros: The hotel is in front of the casino near the beach
9,5 Excellent
Pros: The staff was very kindly. The location is wonderful. There is a good breakfast
9,3 Excellent
Pros: Even though there was little choice for breakfast, it had everything what you could ask for to begin your day with a kick. Bacon and eggs were amazingly delicious. Coffee was great, too.
Cons: There were some drawbacks regarding the availability of certain utensils such as the absence of a corkscrew, which would be great to have, especially during the breezy nights out at the balcony with a glass of verde by our side.
9,5 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable beds - Really great!! Nice, Clean, Spacious room.
Cons: There was some construction work going on ... loud banging from early morning until very late in the evening 10pm!!!
7,0 Good
Pros: The location is excellent
Cons: The building is poorly constructed. People walking in their rooms creates booming sounds that area audible day and night. From my bed on the 3rd floor I could hear talking in the lobby. Also, the ranch slider to the balcony had been broken previously and didn’t lock. It’s a cheap hotel in a great location.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: The staff were very friendly and the beds were extremely comfy. The balcony was perfect for sunbathing and enjoying a nice glass of wine in the evening and the location was very convenient to Estoril Casino, the Tamariz beach and the Estoril railway station, plus there were plenty of restaurants and cafés within walking distance.
Cons: There were some issues with the bathroom - for instance the toilet seat was wobbly and slid back and forth plus the toilet paper holder was broken and fell off the wall with a loud clang the first night I tried to use it. Also we had to unplug one of the bedside lamps to charge our phone. All in all it could use a renovation, but it was perfectly acceptable.
4,5 Okay
Pros: Location
Cons: Hotel old
9,5 Excellent
Pros: Walking distance to beach and train. Close to restaurants. Updated to look fresh and room was big. No amenities but you don’t need a gym and pool when you have the beach so close. Peek a boo view of the ocean. Parking is a great plus. I didn’t have the breakfast.
Cons: Breakfast not included and not coffee or hot water in the room but that ok considering the great price and includes parking.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location, close to everything we needed, good clean hotel, comfy beds

Pros: Friendly staff. Big rooms. Nice view. Good location.

Overview Reviews
With a stay at Hotel Vila Galé Estoril in Cascais, you'll be a 4-minute walk from Estoril Casino and within a 5-minute drive of Cascais Beach.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Everything about the hotel was very nice, staff were friendly, everyone was very helpful especially since we didn't know much about where we were going. Outstanding experience, will definitely go back there.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Location was prefect. Came with the train, and the hotel was just a short walk. Breakfast was also good. Room and bed was big enough.
Cons: There were a lot ot ants in our room in the wardrobe - this was the only thing which made our stay a bit uncomfortable - becasue of this we also found some in our luggage. So we had to pack out everything and check our clothes. However staff solved this issue quickly, cause the ants disappeared.
9,5 Excellent
Pros: Every thing especially the staff
9,3 Excellent
Pros: Location is very good, close to the beach and few minutes by car to Citycenter of Cascais. The staff was really friendly, waiters and restaurant manager, reception, cleaning staff... everyone. The hotel is well located, close to several cafes, restaurants, convenience shops, shops, gas stations etc. We rent a car and there is a parking that you pay per day and was very convenient, allowing us to go to Lisbon several times, to the sightseeing in Cascais and Cintra etc. Good place to stay with family.
Cons: The shower door could be more functional (closes half of the shower place). But nothing that really annoying...
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Great
Cons: Short stay.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent breakfast, friendly staff.
Cons: Rooms were a bit worn, but kept clean
7,0 Good
Pros: Good breakfast, kind and helpful and professional staff. Great location close to the beach and the conference center. Lots of nice restaurants and bars along the beach promenade.
Cons: There was a problem with electricity in my room (112) that made it very difficult to charge my phone and computer. The phone was only charging while the lights in the hallway were turned on, which made it hard to sleep as I was at a conference all day and had to charge the phone during the night. That gave a poor impression of the hotel which I otherwise liked.
9,5 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is located 2 minutes away from the beach, so it is perfect for those who would like to enjoy the water and the sun. The room we stayed in was lovely - a huge comfortable bed, clean bathroom with powerful shower, lovely view from the window onto the sea.
Cons: Everything was great, except the soundproofing. The walls were quite thin, so we could hear our neighbours coming in and out, although (thankfully) not thin enough for us to actually hear their conversations or bathroom breaks :)
8,8 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was great, the personnel was very friendly and helpful. I was staying in the room with a sea view and it was gorgeous. The location is absolutely perfect, the beaches and the city entertainments are all within the walking distance.
Cons: The ventilation in the bathroom could be better and a couple of nights the club in the vicinity was extremely loud.
9,3 Excellent
Pros: Great location and views from the rooms. Beautiful beach at 5 min walking.
Cons: No coffe/tea un the rooms! No service at the pool. There was a phone but no-one answered...
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Great location to base yourself . Parking was a godsend. Breakfast was good value. Staff were excellent , very friendly and hotel was clean. Main downstairs area was great.
Cons: The rooms were bit drab .. but clean and comfortable .

2,5 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing really. The only good thing about this hotel is the pool !
Cons: It was dirty, there was a card left under the bed from previous person that stayed there, for 3 people it was very small and yes i Booked for 3 people! You can’t even move around in the toilet.
5,5 Okay
Pros: The hotel is good located. 5-10 minutes to the beach.
Cons: They offered us a fresh renovated double room as an upgrade. Very nice, but it was smelling like strong chemicals. I guess they didn't open the windows for longer times after renovating. The staff was very nice and helpful and gave us in the end a double room which was pleasant but much too small for 2 people. They were so kind and said, we can have breakfast for free. It was very nice, but we were wondering how could anyone pay 10 euros for it? Finally my kindle was stolen out of the hotelroom. I know, there was a safe and was argueing most with myself that I didn't use it, but this was anyway very annoying.
9,5 Excellent
Pros: The location
Cons: A little small
5,0 Okay
Cons: Breakfast is disaster! 2 kunds of rolls, 1kind of cheese, 1 kind of ham... Scrambled eggs, bacon.. Jam, apple... Coffee is horrible! Worst breakfast service so far!
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Very close to all of the main attractions in Estoril i.e. Casino, Beach and Resturants.
Cons: The hotel kitchen only served breakfast.
6,8 Good
Pros: Ok breakfast.
Cons: Pathroom sink did give out bad smell.
9,5 Excellent
Pros: We stayed at the Hotel Lido four nights. We liked that we were able to check in after midnight. Our room was exceptionally comfortable and we were grateful to be able to locally climate control the room. We loved the location of the hotel and it's quietness. The hotel was exceptionally clean in all the areas that we visited. The balcony was a great bonus to have for fresh air and seemed quite private. It was the right combination of being in and out of town. Breakfast and dinner options were nearby. Great amount of power sockets to charge our touristic gadgets.
Cons: The staff were often preoccupied or on personal calls when we interacted with them. The breakfast was not good value for money (don't do the faux bacon). We were used to having a small kettle and tea and coffee making facilities in the room, even as a three star we missed these. We weren't aware that there was a roof terrace, nor coffee making facilities on the reception level. A hotel guest information book to inform visitors would have been useful here, even if using the pictograms and stating which level they were on. The room tap water was warmer than the swimming pool water. It would have been nice to have a music channel on the TV (there are only 7 stations).
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Nice pool, good location close to the main town. Rooms were clean.
Cons: Shower flooded, rooms very basic, no water in the rooms. Internet patchy in rooms - not very good.
6,2 Good
Pros: I paid about US$35 per night. At that price, I would say it was a good value for basic accommodations. I wouldn't pay too much more, though, and actually changed hotels because I was not able to get that price for further nights. Pleasant neighborhood.
Cons: Not terribly easy to find without my GPS.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Rooms were clean and bed comfy. Enough power sockets and a good shower/bathroom.
Cons: 20 minute walk to the beach. The breakfast was joyless.
