Cons: Nothing
9,4 Excellent
Pros: Clean and as advertised. Better on price than most others for the room type. A 10-minute walk to the pier and most restaurants.
Cons: The 10-minute walk to the pier is tough on the way back up.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Of course the view is always amazing. The staff has always been great, this year they out did themselves. New tables and dining option is a great addition which I plan on a availing on my next visit-in ten days!

Cons: No satellite tv .
8,0 Excellent
Pros: The restaurant was great the views are great
Cons: Jack hammering at the pier
8,0 Excellent
Pros: The view is worth the long climb up to rooms. The breakfast was very good.
Cons: The pool is small and has only four or five lounge chairs. That was okay with us.
7,4 Good
Pros: The view was insane and the price was great
Cons: dirty sheets, uncomfortable bed, gross bathtub
7,0 Good
Cons: 4th stay at location. As usual, views, staff and general property are great. However the rooms and in particular the furniture and accoutrements are getting very, very tired. This is a gem of a property and the owners should pay more attention to the these items.
7,5 Good
Pros: Beautiful views, good location (10-15 min walk to town).
Cons: It’s a little dated. Air conditioning is very loud.

Pros: The turtles release!
Cons: Hotel continuously understaffed. Termites in wardrobe of room 1044. The hotel was close to 100% occupancy with over 80% guests in all inclusive plan. So despite 4 restaurants on location those who did not had a meal inclusive plan and asked for menu could only eat a low cost buffet or tilapia as fish. Forget the fish from the pacific! I have been visiting the hotel for over 30 years occasionally. This past one probably was the last one... too bad!
1,0 Poor
Cons: Their all Banditos!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Hotel, beach, pools and rooms were comfortable and thoughtfully appointed.
Cons: All of the meals we ate on the premises ranged from passable to terrible, perhaps due to all-inclusive option.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Clean, friendly staff, courteous bellmans, awesome views, great food, gorgeous sunsets from every where you looked, bar was comfortable (you should insist on NO SMOKING)The bathroom was beautiful with nice Neutrogena products, air conditioning worked great. The pool was beautiful, especially liked the waterfall.Just one thing we forgot to mention, I'm not complaining, was the shower didn't drain well. I wish to come back
8,0 Excellent
Cons: This hotel is huge and the layout is confusing. Very slow check in process..
8,8 Excellent
Pros: The staff was unbelievably friendly, polite and helpful! It helped that I speak Spanish fluently :)! Breakfastbuffet was great from traditional US breakfast to typical mexican dishes to Fresh fruit an Juices. Accomodations were nice and one cannot beat the view!! Although the mattrasses are ptretty tired and could be replaced. Both the beach and the pool area are kept exceptionally clean and waiting staff is also on Hand to serve Drinks and Food. Location of the hotel is absolutey stunning, neither the (private!) beach nor the pool area get over crowded ant any given time!
Cons: The term "ALL INCLUSIVE" is very misleading. At LAS BRISAS do not be fooled by the term...it is used very loosely!! For example, when odering certain Foods of the menue at dinner, one is expected to pay 50% of the listed Price on the menu. Their exuse is that is is NOT all inclusive, but rather according to their Version, something called "las brisas plan"!! Of Course nowhere in the Advertising in booking.com is any reference to this :(!!! We found it also surprising (it was the first time this happened to us in an "all inclusive" Resort :( !) that we had to pay approx. $25/Person extra for the dinner buffet on Christmas eve, although...with exception of the Turkey being offered… the Food choices were Pretty much the same as every night. We found it odd, but the other restaurants on the premises were charging $40 for a 4-course meal...we preferred the buffet. BEWARE!!! Beware of the jewelry sold at the jewelry store in the hotel!!! We purchased a silver ring with a turqoise stone (so we were told by the Sales staff at the store!!!). Since then the "Turqoise" has suffered a small Scratch, revealed ist real Color underneath...and turned out NOT to be a real turqoise at all :(!! I would have expected more honesty from a shop doing Business INSIDE the hotel! This reflects badly on the hotel, and achtually the hotel should accept responsibility! After all, it is the hotel who allows the vendors to sell their goods there! Its really disappointing and left a very sour taste in my mouth!!! The unfortunate icing on the cake was when the Service desk of the Airport shuttle informed me, that only the trip Airport - hotel had been prepaid, and I would still owe for the trip hotel - Airport!! It took a fair bit of time, digging up of email confirmations (the ones we had with us had been collected at the airport upon Arrival)...and last but not least my ability to speak the local language!!
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Room and view
8,0 Excellent
Pros: We know the hotel from way back, when it was still Camino Real. It has mantained its charme over the years.
Cons: The price was absolutely out of line with what this hotel sells for normally. Additionally, at the Internet payment/reservation checkout only the the 3% additional tax percent were mentioned and not the aditional 16%, which made me believe the price would be substantially lower.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel looks awesome and the beach is amazing
Cons: Sometimes the staff was not flexible and it seemed that they were overwhelmed with the amount of guests.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Gorgeous location - beautiful views, excellent service and staff and pool.
Cons: The food selection is ok, could be better. Also we had a room on 19th floor, one floor above lobby and the loud music at night could easily be heard in our room - on 2 out of 5 nights, lasting after 10 pm.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Exceptional location Fantastic amenities Great price .
Cons: Various areas of the hotel are dated or in need of repairs / upgrades.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: There was a LOT to love about our experience at Las Brisas. The building itself was a unique and interesting layout. Everything everywhere was absolutely spotless. Almost every single staff member I interacted with was very helpful, &professional.
Cons: The ridiculous TOWELS “reserving” beach and pool seating. That were of course left empty for hours. Every single day! Put a SIGN UP telling people to stop it. And enforce it! FIRST COME , FIRST SERVE!!!

10,0 Excellent
Pros: The bed was very comfortable. There was a lots of space to hang in store clothing. I really enjoyed it be open air living space.
Cons: A bit dusty on shelves and on top of doorways
6,7 Good
Pros: The ocean view, proximity to everything and friendly staff.
Cons: Photos on the internet were deceiving, leading us to believe it was much nicer.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Leaving this place was really difficult. It was more then we expected and we are sure we will be back here in the future. Our first impression was that the personel asked us if we wanted to take a look at some more bungalows then the one that we had booked - they offered us to stay in a lovely bungalow with seaview, jacuzzi, fantastic spacies and atmosphere for the same price as our "booked" ackommodation. Every morning we cooked and enjoyed breakfast with the most beautiful view one can have from a terass. The location was amazing with only a 2 min walk to the beach. The stuff was truly helpful and lovely. This place really is something special.
7,5 Good
Cons: Pool needs a big cleaning
7,0 Good
Pros: Good location on Madera Beach. ( Also, they finally cleaned the pool water!)
Cons: Very disappointed that they were unable to use my credit card to pay for my stay (their credit card terminal was not working... a recurring problem. My credit card worked perfectly fine every where else in ZIH). I was required to pay via PayPal which ended up costing me much more additional fees. A coat of paint and some tidying up of the facility would be a great improvement.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The view from our room
Cons: Excellent location. Close to the beach, Bahia and downtown. Would stay again and the staff is very friendly and help you with everything you need. The view from our room was wonderful. Would stay again.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Great location, lovely views of Ocean and mountains. Great staff with Mayra (daytime manager) who is on top of everything and will make sure your stay is pleasant, Eduardo & Adrian who are very professional. Lots of stairs in this resort, so it's good exercise, and some stairs will take you to a nice little (public) beach.
Cons: We could've done without a little dog that nervously barks a lot in the evenings from a neighbor's home that is practically attached to the property...but earplugs helped (the barking matches the size of the dog). We found the night time (very young) "manager" too immature and unprofessional.

5,8 Okay
Pros: Location and cleanliness
Cons: No wifi as advertised in our room, restaurant, lounge or pool area, spotty in lobby. Drinks were small and no bottled beer, no fridge or coffee in room, towels were old and coarse. We spent little time there other than to sleep
6,7 Good
Pros: +The location is excellent. You are right on the beach, a lovely, safe beach. The bed was comfortable and had a generous supply of pillows. I ate a breakfast at their restaurant, Dona Prudencia, and it was lovely and had good food.
Cons: I probably wouldn't stay there again. It is basically an old motel that has been updated a bit. Some of the employees must not be treated well because they seem unhappy working there. The shower was spaying water upwards and out of the shower area so the bathroom floor was really wet and slippery and dangerous. I reported it to the front desk and nothing was repaired. On the 3rd day I saw a woman who seemed in charge of housekeeping and I explained about the shower and she had a repair person quickly fix the shower head. The pools are a bit sad, definitely remnants of its motel heritage.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We have been staying at Villa Mexicana for over fifteen years. And this year it just seemed exceptionally good. The front desk staff lead by Eloisa is incredible and very helpful. The restaurant was good; both food and staff. And our room was delightful. It is obvious that the owners/management of the hotel have been making some improvements to the property. So far, so good! Just don't make too many changes! A very enjoyable long vacation.
Cons: Frankly, this year I do not have any negative comments. Seriously, all good.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Beach was beautiful and only steps away from our room
Cons: Small coffee pot in room. Service in cafe could be more consistent. We waited for food and received it cold ☹️
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Did not have breakfast there.
Cons: Would be nice to have a fridge in the room or coffee available in the lobby.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Great place to stay we’ll be back!!
Cons: Poor WiFi!
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Great location in the beach and you can sit in the pool and watch the ocean. Quiet this years and it was the 3rd time we came. Great value! Clean! Beds are hard thou so drink lots of margaritas before retiring. Taxis on hand 24hrs. Walk to town it pay $50pesos great restaurants within walking distance or stay at the hotel. All great in zihuatanejo!
Cons: Everything
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Several pools available depending on what you were looking for. Staff were very accommodating. My only suggestion would be is to get up early and reserve a lounge chair as they are somewhat limited.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was more than I expected. The portions were sizable. The location was fantastic. Unless we went to town, we never had to wear shoes and were steps away from everything we needed. We felt safe and well taken care of.

Pros: Spacious rooms and quite comfortable. Very nicely decorated.
Cons: The only thing I can think of is that the pool is incredibly hot. Feels like you’re in a giant hot tub. I guess they can’t do much about that though since it’s due to the sun. Maybe a canopy would suffice.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: People are nice the place is clean I would recommend it
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Hotel JB is not the Ritz and does not pretend to be - Hotel JB is a basic hotel - within easy walking distance to Playa La Ropa. The room was comfortable, the pool clean and relaxing, the surroundings safe and secure, a mix of good patrons and excellent staff.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: The location and accessibility was great.
Cons: The pool closed way to early. At 8pm

Pros: I love it's so close to La Ropa beach where I spend my days. I love the refreshing pool, the friendly family ownership, it's safe, comfortable, affordable and a perfect place for me to transition when I arrive in Mexico and before I leave. 10,0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is split in two, one has a view to the sea. You have to cross the street to get to the beach but the traffic in this area is really low, so no problem with that. We visited other beaches and unless you prefer a pool-like-beach this is a good option.
7,5 Good
Cons: The speed and attention of the restaurant service, very slow and waiter disappeared for long periods.
7,5 Good
Pros: Employees were great
Cons: The building needs work

2,5 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing I checked out after 1 night and they would not refund me
Cons: Your site misled the Propert. No fitness center no working hot tubs Outside pool was only thing hey had and bartender was only there in between other duties
4,2 Okay
Pros: Localizacion, swimming pools
Cons: Extreme formalities, slowness
7,9 Good
Pros: I would call this older property "classic Mexican charm". Clean and functional. It is a park like setting. Quiet, yet close to the beach and all amenities. Multiple swimming pools and modest water slide. Helpful staff
7,9 Good
Pros: Girls trip, its a really secure Hotel close to restuarants, stores, bars, Staff is really friendly specially Enrique and Chava they are great in customer service, had a great stay. Will for sure return.
4,2 Okay
Pros: Swimming area
Cons: The smell of sewer waste, the mattress hard as a rock, certain staff member rude, had every item inventoried when arrived and when we left..
5,4 Okay
Pros: The room was good. Housekeeping was great. Restaurant also good. The grounds are still nice but too many locals trample all over it and then track it into the pool.
Cons: It seems that the hotel now caters to Mexicans, with people coming in for the day, They scream at each other from balcony to balcony, and scream at each other from their balconies down to the pool area, The only quiet times are when there are no large groups there. I noticed that the grass was not as nice as my first visit. ALL the locals trampled all over it even though there were signs to stay off, and then dragged grass and dirt into the pool constantly, thus making the pool dirtier all the time. There appeared to be many days when no one at the front desk spoke English. We never complained but the ONLY time that they moved fast was when they arrived at our door at the stroke of 12 to get us out enough though we had asked for 1 hour later checkout. The man even stood at our door for the entire time it took us to finish packing. We ate at the restaurant and the food was good and the service was also very good, but If you want a quieter vacation, DO NOT GO HERE!
3,3 Mediocre
Pros: Grounds were pretty.
Cons: HORRIBLE experience! They overcharged me for first night and charged me an extra $50 deposit I didn't expect. I then requested that they put me in a smaller room and it had NO RUNNING WATER!!! The toilet wouldn't flush, and I couldn't wash my hands after using the bathroom or take a shower in 90 degree heat! Apparently some water pipe broke the day before, but they KNEW THAT. When I complained and asked for another room, they said they didn't have keys to another room with water so I couldn't switch rooms. They told me the water would be back on by 7 am the NEXT DAY, but it wasn't. Additionally, they refused to give me my money or 2 nightd of deposit(s) back. They refused to credit my card, saying I would have to wait 3-10 days. I'm disputing all the charges with my bank right now. And the worst part is that they didn't have 1 person at the front desk or on the premises that spoke English. Not one! DON'T STAY HERE. They will cheat you and overcharge you from the moment you arrive. There were no other Americans staying there besides me, and now I know why. Plus there are no computers available to access the internet to look for other places to stay. When I asked them if I could use the one in the office, surprise, they refused again! DON'T STAY HERE!

5,4 Okay
Pros: Close to the beach and shopping area
7,9 Good
Pros: The breakfast included with the meal is fantastic- lots of choice of eggs done any style , pancakes, Mexican style. Nice that we could use the pool at the sister hotel Casa sun and Moon on the ocean. Our pool was nice and refreshing. Drinking water is available outside rooms so be prepared with your own bottle to fill.
Cons: The first room that I was given was styled very poorly...low ceiling and stuffy and not much of a window. I called it the "broom closet ". I was able to change to a room on 2nd floor next to the breakfast restaurant with a high ceiling and sliding glass door,..,.mind you the sliding door did not open. I found the bed quite firm, which I was able to soften up with a pillow. This is a simple hotel so expect it to be like a 3 star. I didn't like the fact that Booking .com made me pay a daily fee of 100 pesos for things the hotel already gave as part of room cost.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Loved the pool and terraces. Food good on roof top restaurant- drinks seemed watered down. All in all a great spot for the price
Cons: The lack of english speaking front desk staff. We spent about an hour trying to get the girls to understand we wanted our tickets printed off and in the end we didnt
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Nice property with decent sized rooms. Good pool area with pool towels provided. Good typical breakfast a la carte. Very close to the beach. The location on booking.com isn't actually correct - the hotel is the other size of the canal a 10min walk away from the centre, at Playa La Madera.
Cons: The bathroom was a bit tired and the outside area which supposedly is a terrace was never finished.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Staff were all friendly and accommodating. Access to pool across the street at Sun & Moon sister Hotel, had better shade, direct access to beach.
Cons: Restaurant was closed Monday evening without any prior notice - regular occurrence.. Only one chair in room. No shade around pool.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Great pool!
Cons: Floors need to be refurbished.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The staff, particularly the manager at the front desk,Geraldo, were stellar! The hotel itself is a littled aged, like me,and it has good character and it is quintessential Mexico.Totally enjoyed my stay.

Pros: Best hotel in town!
Cons: Still use plastic straws. Most places don’t.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: The views and the location is excellent. Most rooms have full ocean view and some partial. Excellent staff - knowledgable, helpful and friendly. Very easy walk to downtown and to Playa la Ropa beach area. we went fishing organized thru hotel tour guide very affordable and fun experience.

Pros: The staff was excellent in fulfilling requests immediately
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Fabulous location and gracious and accommodating staff!
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Great location as close to lots of restaurants and city centre. Love Zihua as it is clean and feels safe.
Cons: Housekeeping did not always pay attention to supplies in the room (coffee supplies in particular). Lots of stairs to climb can be good (keeps you fit!) or bad if you’ve mobility issues. I think over 100 steps from top to beach. Restaurant and drinks a little expensive. Lots of good places nearby that are less expensive to eat. Poor pool service as far as drinks and food went. Waiter didn’t come by too often and didn’t seem like he liked his job. He’d be the only one there that I would say that about. The rest of the staff was great.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful, friendly and helpful service from everyone there: especially Carlos, Martin, Jesus and Miguel. If your Spanish isn't great (mine certainly isn't), that is not a problem; their English is very good. The hotel is a little bit of heaven: only 30 rooms but with a good restaurant, bar with a great view over the bay, lush landscaping, lovely pool (with wait staff) plus the hotel is right on the beach. There's even a spa for massages, mani pedi etc. If you like excellent service in a small hotel with unbelievable value in an authentic Mexican fishing town (warts and all) that has lots of very good restaurants (from basic, inexpensive Mexican to fancy expensive international) this is the spot for you. If you want a huge, flashy, sterile hotel with lots of nightlife, multiple pools and lots of people eating and drinking all they can, then please go to Cancun.
Cons: No complaints, but If I had to pick something it would be the spotty wifi. That being said, I went to relax not to surf the Internet or spend time on facebook

Pros: Beautiful hotel overlooking the beautiful bay of Zihuatanejo. Impeccable rooms , terrific staff and great food. This is a small boutique hotel with about 25 rooms and so you feel that you have all the privacy in the world . Terrific food in the dinning room and a very pleasant staff . We only stayed 3 days but will come back next year for at least a week

Pros: Location was great, close to the beach and town. Kitchen had everything we needed to make meals. We used the outdoor kitchen when we cooked fish. Swimming pool temperature was perfect.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Everything very very clean quiet relaxing friendly
Cons: Excellent best place
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Drinking water supplied in rooms. Good beds. Excellent maid service. Smallish but nice clean pool. Many guests regulars and very nice people.
Cons: Kitchenettes are very small as are sinks. Equipment generally adequate but a pot or two would have been helpful as would a washing up bowl. Fringes too small.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: This is the second time we have stayed here (last time about 4 years ago). For the price you can’t really have any complaints. The staff are all great and helpful, and the hotel is well run and clean throughout. There is a pool and loungers to cool off and relax in. As well there is a mini-library with books to borrow. Our favourite beach Playa Madera is a five minute walk. The rooms are well equipped (fridge, kettle etc.) and make it easy to provide for yourself. We have been to Mexico many times and Villas Mercedes is ideal for us. We go to relax in the hot weather (pretty much guaranteed in Zihuatanejo), read and generally decompress from our work. There are plenty of good places to eat, a typical Mexican market and bars for those who like the nightlife. Zihu is our favourite place in Mexico, and we would stay at Villas Mercedes every time if available.
Cons: Nothing.
9,0 Excellent

Pros: Price can't be beat. Close to our 4 favorite restaurants. Short walk to beach, bank, central market.
Cons: Not on the beach, no beach view. Linens need upgrade.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely little boutique hotel, with only a few rooms. Great location to walk to the beach, to El Centro, or to hop a bus to other locations.
Cons: Payment functionality was a challenge when I needed to correct an error on my credit card information. The hotel was excellent in helping me resolve the issue, however, which I greatly appreciated.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The studio was really nice. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was clean and functional. Air conditioning worked well and was silent. The pool was great and it was only a short walk to the beach.
Cons: The check in was slow. It looked like they were not ready for my arrival and were searching for payment information.

7,4 Good
Pros: You can walk to the beach, town and restaurants. The view was beautiful. The staff was friendly and professional.
Cons: The hotel needs a facelift. My air conditioner quit and I had to move to another room. One day only hot water in the shower. Hair dryer smelled like it was on the verge of burning up. All problems handled promptly, but should not be happening. Everything a little dated.
7,0 Good
Pros: Staff was friendly and helpful. Restaurant had great food and very accommodating. View was spectacular. Common area and pool were very clean.
Cons: No fridge or microwave. Bed was too firm. Seemed to have shortage of wash clothes. Pool cushions old and faded. Balcony screens falling off tracks.

Pros: Staff were awesome
Cons: I absolutely hated no smoking rule so I could not enjoy pool have a drink and watch my child swim. I hated no smoking on my veranda so I could work or enjoy it while child sleeping. Cruel rule!

Pros: everything
6,2 Good
Pros: The staff is fantastic, professional and so friendly. And the place is well run, no complaints there. Good food too!
Cons: Ok, so I get it, people booking through aggregators are not their ideal customer, so no wonder they put you in their worst room. But I can still review them based on that room, which honestly, no one should ever be put in, AC compressors running all night long on the other side of the wall. The room we were moved to the next day after complaining was better, but still quite noisy (laundry starts up at 8am). If you like quiet, this is not the place for you, unless you can get one of their better rooms. Cleanliness was to mexican standards. No problem for me, I'm used to it, but in my opinion quite shoddy for the price paid, I would expect resort level spit and shine for 77 bucks USD a night.
9,2 Excellent
Cons: 46 pesos for a beer, 50 yards away on the beach 5 for 100pesos, come on Irma, that's just GREED
6,0 Good
Pros: Location and staff
Cons: No elevator.
5,0 Okay
Pros: Location and breakfast were on par with what we expected. View and pool deck were nice
Cons: The hotel staff and service were very poor and we ended up having to dispute several charges they put on my credit card as the accidentally charged the card in duplicate. There are a million rules at this property and they seem to be waiting for any excuse to charge you additional. Small Cramped room with very mediocre Air Conditioning.
10,0 Excellent
Cons: small fridge in rooms would have made things more enjoyable
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing staff The rooms were kept very clean We can't wait to go back
