Pros: fantastic gourmet breakfast..... different every day nice surprise
Cons: a little out of my reach financially but well worth the extra
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The staff are super nice and helpful. The only restaurant in the hotel is the best in Zihuatanejo. The food is soooooooo good!!!!! You can not miss it!!!!!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The place was beautiful and we had a beautiful view. During the day or the evening - it was amazing. Our room was so spacious and the staff was very very attentive. To have such a great view meant it was a climb to the top or taxi rides. It just requires a little planning since the road and the town are not really accessible by foot. We highly recommend.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing View , Amazing Infinity Swimingpool!!!
Cons: Very very Bad Wifi
5,0 Okay
Pros: The layout of the restaurant is beautiful with pretty pools and interesting decor. The view is stunning although the view from most hillside properties in Zihua have incredible views with the comforts of a hotel.
Cons: This place is a restaurant with four rooms for rent. The set up of tables, chairs etc. begins around 1:00 PM daily. The area around the pool is not available for lounging in the early evening/sunset. It is set for diners. We were not informed of this at any point during our stay. Our discomfort drove us to our room and three days short of our intended stay, to other accommodations! The room did not have the typical comforts of a hotel that charges the amount they do. The bed was uncomfortable. Even the slightest movement made the bed bounce and jiggle. There's no coffee or tea making facilities and no refrigerator.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Absolutely stunning, exceeded ALL expectations. We slept with the a/c off at night and opened the 12 x8 sliding doors with screens that looked down on Zihuatanejo Bay listening to surf all night. Waking up to that view was priceless.
Cons: I felt like we were in a luxury private million dollar villa. Most days had the entire property and pool to ourselves. Max only 6 other guests. We stayed in the Roberta suite and enjoyed the large patio with amazing view .

9,4 Excellent
Pros: Clean and as advertised. Better on price than most others for the room type. A 10-minute walk to the pier and most restaurants.
Cons: The 10-minute walk to the pier is tough on the way back up.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: i like the staff the place was very clean very good view of the sea
Cons: nothing everything was ok little far from dowtown
6,7 Good
Pros: The property was clean and had a great view and the staff was great.
Cons: There are NO elevators so if you aren’t in good shape or have any type of handicap and can’t walk up stairs I don’t recommend this hotel. This hotel is not close to anything, you MUST take a cab from the hotel to the center of town or you can walk down 174 rock steps then walk about a quarter mile to the center of town. The hotel is in a shady neighborhood but the hotel is safe.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Absolutely amazing view! Very spacious suite, helpful staff and great location...especially for folks who enjoy open air and lots of exercise!
Cons: Lots of construction noise....but that wasn't the fault of the hotel.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: The view from my room and balcony was amazing. Staff was friendly and helpful, the place is kept amazingly clean. Overall, this is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy your time in Zihuatanejo.
Cons: I didn’t realize how far of a hike it would be by foot to the downtown/beach area. Very steep uphill so be prepared for a workout coming home!
8,0 Excellent
Pros: I really loved the view, the size and the amenities. It was only a short walk to town. This side of the bay seems more for local tourists, though there were some gringos around as well. A/C was cold, kitchen, living room, bathroom and bedroom all good!
Cons: The power went out on the whole side of the bay for about 6 hours, but we just asked for a candle and had a romantic time. We also went down to Casa Bahia just down the stairs and had a fantastic and romantic dinner at Roberto's restaurant.
7,4 Good
Pros: The view was insane and the price was great
Cons: dirty sheets, uncomfortable bed, gross bathtub

8,8 Excellent
Pros: Comfort of bed. Cleanliness. The view from my room.
Cons: I had to pay for the bottle of water I drank, independent of the information in the information booklet "an extra bottle of water has to be paid". For me it does mean, that the bottle, which was already placed in the room before my arrival is free.
1,0 Poor
Cons: Their all Banditos!
8,8 Excellent
Pros: This is a great hotel, with very friendly staff and wonderful facilities (e.g., the pool, access to private beach). Enjoy the views, the walks through the grounds, and have breakfast at the Bella Vista - amazing views!
5,4 Okay
Pros: Location AND if you have children, this is the place to be. It’s a kids cruise on the beach. Repeat, it’s a kids cruise ship that is on the beach.
Cons: 1) paying $250 USD A NIGHT or a room that had cockroaches in the hot tube 2) waiting 2 hrs to get into our rooms after checking in after the check in time 3) being survived frozen bad food when you are literally on the water and can see fishing boats. The food was so bad we didn’t eat it, we sent it back and went into town for street tacos that were a lot cheaper and so much better 4) the paint job was not very good. We had primer all over our deck that we paid extra for.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: It's very tranquil. All you hear is the sound of the waves breaking. The Beach is lovely, the pools are warm, the service is great, the food is good, the grounds are beautiful, the weather is fantastic. If you want to relax, this is the place
Cons: They ran out of ice - weird.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Room and view
7,5 Good
Pros: Breakfast was good view was great! Beach was beautiful the pool was very nice.
Cons: The internet never worked in our room like they said our sheets were stained the shower sucked but it was useable.
5,8 Okay
Pros: Beautiful Architecture, beautiful sunsets, plenty of towels, plenty of fresh water running everywhere including bathroom, nice fresh set of soap and creams, very friendly and attentive people cleaning the room
Cons: Very slow check in, very slow check out, unorganized reception desk, just one bottle of water per day included in full board junior suit package, old jacuzzi, was additionally charged for a plastic keycard to open room, waitress at the pool didn’t want to bring food at 16:50 he said kitchen was already closed, beer and food was limited, couldn’t enjoy dinner a la card because kid wasn’t allowed at restaurants, available food was cold, at the end we finish eating outside the hotel, admin staff seems to be no where
6,7 Good
Cons: The resort itself was just like we had always remembered. The room, the staff and the beach have always been remarkable. The privacy, security and seclusion have been what has made this particular getaway attractive to us. We brought my brother and his wife for their first trip to Las Brisas and sold them on those attributes. How disappointing to learn that management has opened the resort to local residents on the weekends who are not guests of the hotel in order to supplement resort income The beach and restaurants were to capacity making the resort amenities almost inaccessible to us. The privacy and seclusion we once revered is now gone at the expense of paying overnight guests. Had we known before arrival we would have booked elsewhere. What an extreme disservice to the loyal customer base that has patronized Las Brisas for almost twenty years. If we wanted long lines and wall to wall tourists we would have booked a cruise. It is my sincere hope that current management rethinks their "money grab" strategy and shifts focus back to what once made Las Brisas the jewel of the Pacific coast. Very very disappointing.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Architecture retains its 1981 Ricardo Legorreta charm despite changes. The beach is one of the best in Mexico in terms of safety, waves, sand. Staff are great. Views are amazing and rooms are perfect.
Cons: We were there when occupancy was 88% (Mexican families) and it is a bit like being on a budget cruise (they were all on an all-inclusive plan): too crowded, so just check ahead and go when it's less crowded. The food is pretty average, but Zihuatanejo is a short ride away (El Faro on adjacent property has much better food than any of restaurants at Brisas).
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Gorgeous location - beautiful views, excellent service and staff and pool.
Cons: The food selection is ok, could be better. Also we had a room on 19th floor, one floor above lobby and the loud music at night could easily be heard in our room - on 2 out of 5 nights, lasting after 10 pm.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: There was a LOT to love about our experience at Las Brisas. The building itself was a unique and interesting layout. Everything everywhere was absolutely spotless. Almost every single staff member I interacted with was very helpful, &professional.
Cons: The ridiculous TOWELS “reserving” beach and pool seating. That were of course left empty for hours. Every single day! Put a SIGN UP telling people to stop it. And enforce it! FIRST COME , FIRST SERVE!!!

10,0 Excellent
Pros: We have been staying at Villa Mexicana for over fifteen years. And this year it just seemed exceptionally good. The front desk staff lead by Eloisa is incredible and very helpful. The restaurant was good; both food and staff. And our room was delightful. It is obvious that the owners/management of the hotel have been making some improvements to the property. So far, so good! Just don't make too many changes! A very enjoyable long vacation.
Cons: Frankly, this year I do not have any negative comments. Seriously, all good.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Several pools available depending on what you were looking for. Staff were very accommodating. My only suggestion would be is to get up early and reserve a lounge chair as they are somewhat limited.

9,6 Excellent
Pros: Spacious rooms and quite comfortable. Very nicely decorated.
Cons: The only thing I can think of is that the pool is incredibly hot. Feels like you’re in a giant hot tub. I guess they can’t do much about that though since it’s due to the sun. Maybe a canopy would suffice.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Orlo was an excellent employee friendly and willing to do anything that was requested and is also a vey hard worker! Loved the outdoor kitchen!
Cons: Rooms need updating and each room should have their own fridge! Beds ar hard!
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff, good location and very nice pool and gardens! There are kitchen facilities too. The walk to the beach is around 5 minutes. We had a nice stay at a good price!
Cons: No control to change temperature of air-conditioner. The first floor rooms are lacking privacy as they face directly onto the pool area, so the curtain can't be left open. The glass doors also mean you're able hear noise from other guests in the common areas. Choose a second floor room!
7,9 Good
Pros: Private, relaxed- pool- outdoor kitchen
Cons: Updating could enhance the stay- eg. showers, plumbing
10,0 Excellent
Pros: People are nice the place is clean I would recommend it
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Hotel JB is not the Ritz and does not pretend to be - Hotel JB is a basic hotel - within easy walking distance to Playa La Ropa. The room was comfortable, the pool clean and relaxing, the surroundings safe and secure, a mix of good patrons and excellent staff.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: The location and accessibility was great.
Cons: The pool closed way to early. At 8pm
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Very clean staff very friendly everything we needed for our vacation
Cons: Nothing everything was excelent.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is split in two, one has a view to the sea. You have to cross the street to get to the beach but the traffic in this area is really low, so no problem with that. We visited other beaches and unless you prefer a pool-like-beach this is a good option.
6,7 Good
Pros: Great location. Central to town and La Ropa Beach.
Cons: Rooms very basic. Poor shower.
7,5 Good
Cons: The speed and attention of the restaurant service, very slow and waiter disappeared for long periods.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Great view on the beach and location to town..great boutique hotel with friendly staff
Cons: Noisy aircondioner and bed was uncomfortable.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Very quiet and peaceful. Spacious room with a balcony.
Cons: The slight smell of sewer coming out of the shower drain.
7,9 Good
Pros: We love the garden & pool area on the office side of the street. Rooms are good size, have a fridge and a nice little living room area & an outside patio.
Cons: Rooms are dark and it was awkward trying to open the curtains to get light in because they were one large panel & didn't slide. The bathroom faucet didn't work very well, the window above the shower was missing a panel, and poor water pressure in the shower & toilet.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: location, quaint and clean
Cons: loud air conditioner but we had it:)

5,4 Okay
Pros: Close to the beach and shopping area
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Friendly, helpful staff and loved the location, close(about a block) easy, safe walk to beach, on cobblestone street. Beach has food and beverage available, chairs with umbrellas at those restaurants. Nice beach front walk to other areas(fishing pier, restaurants and shopping) and way to downtown. Free breakfast, air conditioning, clean rooms, great shower, open sitting area overlooking the pool, outside of each room with comfy furniture. Could use the Sun and Moon pool(across the street)overlooking the ocean, if wanted, the Zihua Caracol had a nice pool. Same owners. 2nd stay and will stay again, miss it already.
Cons: No elevator if that's a need. 3rd floor is the highest with nice open stairway but inside the hotel.
7,9 Good
Pros: The breakfast included with the meal is fantastic- lots of choice of eggs done any style , pancakes, Mexican style. Nice that we could use the pool at the sister hotel Casa sun and Moon on the ocean. Our pool was nice and refreshing. Drinking water is available outside rooms so be prepared with your own bottle to fill.
Cons: The first room that I was given was styled very poorly...low ceiling and stuffy and not much of a window. I called it the "broom closet ". I was able to change to a room on 2nd floor next to the breakfast restaurant with a high ceiling and sliding glass door,..,.mind you the sliding door did not open. I found the bed quite firm, which I was able to soften up with a pillow. This is a simple hotel so expect it to be like a 3 star. I didn't like the fact that Booking .com made me pay a daily fee of 100 pesos for things the hotel already gave as part of room cost.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Loved the pool and terraces. Food good on roof top restaurant- drinks seemed watered down. All in all a great spot for the price
Cons: The lack of english speaking front desk staff. We spent about an hour trying to get the girls to understand we wanted our tickets printed off and in the end we didnt
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Nice property with decent sized rooms. Good pool area with pool towels provided. Good typical breakfast a la carte. Very close to the beach. The location on booking.com isn't actually correct - the hotel is the other size of the canal a 10min walk away from the centre, at Playa La Madera.
Cons: The bathroom was a bit tired and the outside area which supposedly is a terrace was never finished.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Staff were all friendly and accommodating. Access to pool across the street at Sun & Moon sister Hotel, had better shade, direct access to beach.
Cons: Restaurant was closed Monday evening without any prior notice - regular occurrence.. Only one chair in room. No shade around pool.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Great pool!
Cons: Floors need to be refurbished.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The staff, particularly the manager at the front desk,Geraldo, were stellar! The hotel itself is a littled aged, like me,and it has good character and it is quintessential Mexico.Totally enjoyed my stay.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: The location was amazing, super friendly staff and great overall value.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location. Beautiful views. Kind, helpful and hardworking staff. Really well designed hotel.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: They gave us a better room for the same low price because the room we reserved was unavailable, so the attention from staff was awesome, friendly and fast
Cons: Checkout process is a bit akward specially if you’re leaving early in the morning
6,7 Good
Pros: The location was great, right on the beach and close to a couple of great restaurants.the pool was nice and clean and the bed was comfortable. Air condioning was also great.
Cons: The toilet wasn't working when I arrived, even after bringing this up to the person at the front desk nothing was done to fix it, I ended up fixing it myself. They state that they have airport shuttle but they do not, they are just located by a taxi stand that will grossly overcharge you and the men will make inappropriate comments about you if you are a woman and they think you don't understand what they are saying.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: These folks really try hard. All staff is very friendly and attentive to taking care of their customers. There is obviously an ongoing effort to improve the property and there is still work to be done; not a negative. Though not on the beach it is literally only a few steps away and that few steps is almost certainly a price break. The view from the restaurant is a precious amenity with awesome sunsets and view of the bay. We wish these folks well and appreciate the way they treated us during our stay.
Cons: The plumbing is probably the area that is in need of the most attention. It seems that replacing the spigots and shower heads would substantially improve the experience. We were in more than one room during our month stay and would say that this was a common theme in our experience. The bathrooms also tend to be small.
6,7 Good
Pros: The location is great. The staff cleaned the room daily. The restaurant served great food .
Cons: The TV didn’t work. Hit watt in the shower was rare. There was a spastic in my room but the water was cold and it never heated up.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Location was mas fina! Didn't eat breakfast on site. Loved the kitchenette out on the balcony overlooking the street. My friends met to eat at the rooftop restaurant one night and it was magical! Pictures below from our table at the restaurant.
Cons: Didn't like that it was hard to seal off cracks around door and bathroom to keep out bugs, but it's the tropics. The bed was very firm.
4,6 Okay
Pros: Close to the beach and Embarc. Price.
Cons: No service, home made repairs, shower not functioning properly

9,6 Excellent
Pros: the hotel is not to big, which gives you a sense of privacy. staff is very friendly and helpful restaurant (on the beach) is very good
Cons: the beach (locatedinside the village) is not the best beach of the region
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Love the views over the bay, the rooms are spacious and with a great terrace with hammock, the layout of the hotel with tropical plants and different levels. Walking distance into the town center. This is one of our favourite hotels in Mexico
Cons: The bathroom is a bit rustic and basic - could do with a makeover. The food at the restaurant on the beach didn’t seem as good as last time.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful, friendly and helpful service from everyone there: especially Carlos, Martin, Jesus and Miguel. If your Spanish isn't great (mine certainly isn't), that is not a problem; their English is very good. The hotel is a little bit of heaven: only 30 rooms but with a good restaurant, bar with a great view over the bay, lush landscaping, lovely pool (with wait staff) plus the hotel is right on the beach. There's even a spa for massages, mani pedi etc. If you like excellent service in a small hotel with unbelievable value in an authentic Mexican fishing town (warts and all) that has lots of very good restaurants (from basic, inexpensive Mexican to fancy expensive international) this is the spot for you. If you want a huge, flashy, sterile hotel with lots of nightlife, multiple pools and lots of people eating and drinking all they can, then please go to Cancun.
Cons: No complaints, but If I had to pick something it would be the spotty wifi. That being said, I went to relax not to surf the Internet or spend time on facebook
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The beauty of the hotel and the generosity of the staff made this vacation wonderful. The heartfelt welcome we received and continued to receive throughout our entire time at Aura Del Mar made our stay exceptional.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Located right in middle of the bay on the best beach! We were greeted with ice cold beer and cool towels at check in desk. Our room was fabulous, tropical decor beautiful
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Honestly, what's not to like? Every room has an amazing view. We loved the hammock on our patio and our private jacuzzi. Bistro Del Mar is one of the best restaurants in the city. The beach is amazing. Every beach in Zihua offers something different, and they're all worth visiting, but Playa Madera is great as a home base. There's also a very sweet black dog who lives down there. Buy him a burger if you see him. Rosalba at the front desk is really nice and helpful. Jesus, who works in the restaurant and sunset bar, is friendly and has good recommendations.
Cons: The bed is very comfortable, but it's so soft that it hurt my back. Corola the parrot lived right outside out room. He is...not quiet. But you get used to it.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Staff was very wonderful
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful setting. Staff were fantastic.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Location is excellent, 10 min walk through a beach walkway to downtown. Very friendly staff. Excellent and beautiful facilities. Included welcome drink and drinking water on the hallway are a nice touch. Nice view to the beach.
Cons: The prices for the services are a bit on the expensive side. Restaurant and massage services are more expensive than competitors around the area, however, if you go out through the beach side and walk around the area, you can find them cheaper.
9,4 Excellent
Pros: Private, romantic, comfortable, beautiful views and affordable!

Pros: The studio was really nice. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was clean and functional. Air conditioning worked well and was silent. The pool was great and it was only a short walk to the beach.
Cons: The check in was slow. It looked like they were not ready for my arrival and were searching for payment information.

7,4 Good
Pros: You can walk to the beach, town and restaurants. The view was beautiful. The staff was friendly and professional.
Cons: The hotel needs a facelift. My air conditioner quit and I had to move to another room. One day only hot water in the shower. Hair dryer smelled like it was on the verge of burning up. All problems handled promptly, but should not be happening. Everything a little dated.
6,2 Good
Pros: The staff is fantastic, professional and so friendly. And the place is well run, no complaints there. Good food too!
Cons: Ok, so I get it, people booking through aggregators are not their ideal customer, so no wonder they put you in their worst room. But I can still review them based on that room, which honestly, no one should ever be put in, AC compressors running all night long on the other side of the wall. The room we were moved to the next day after complaining was better, but still quite noisy (laundry starts up at 8am). If you like quiet, this is not the place for you, unless you can get one of their better rooms. Cleanliness was to mexican standards. No problem for me, I'm used to it, but in my opinion quite shoddy for the price paid, I would expect resort level spit and shine for 77 bucks USD a night.
