10,0 Excellent
Pros: The hostess was very friendly and attentive. The room was very comfortable, clean and quiet. If you are going to Mont St Michel, the B&B is a short walk (about 1km) from the buses that take to the mont, and saves about €15 for parking.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The hostess and owner was very charming, helpful, and went above and beyond to make our stay an enjoyable one. Breakfast was very nice. Location was also very convenient and scenically pleasing.
Cons: Can't really think of anything that would have made it better.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: A big, spacious room. Good shower. Quiet. Very comfortable. A very good continental breakfast with a large choice. Danielle was a lovely bubbly host with good English. Her staff were very friendly. It was great to be able to leave our car at the guesthouse and walk 1km to the shuttle bus to Mont St Michel. It would be preferential to visit in the off-season to avoid the crowds.

Pros: Danielle and staff are very warm and accommodating. Great location, too.

Was very close to places to eat and to walking to Mont Saint Michel. Lovely outdoor space. Was very quiet at night for good sleeping. Big bed in our room was comfortable. A fan was provided too which is unusual!
Cons: Small shower. Late, sparse, breakfast (unless you eat a ton of carbs). Internet was not great in our room.

Pros: We had a vacation with our 1 year old baby. It was so nice to be in this beautiful house with a big garden for her. The owners were very friendly. She knows a lot of good places to be and makes her own marmelade, jummie! The place is very clean and the location is perfect; nature and nice places in the area. We had a wonderful vacation!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: A lovely size room with everything we could need. The bed was very comfortable although rather low if you are older! Delphine and her husband were perfect hosts and extremely helpful at all times. Just a perfect experience.
Cons: There was nothing to dislike

Pros: The owner was a very kind and friendly person. She welcomed us and even took the time to recommend places to visit in the area and restaurants. The room and beds were decorated nicely and very comfortable. The breakfast was great with homemade jams. Not far from Mont Saint-Michel.
Cons: Nothing we didn't like.

Pros: excellent place for your family, lovely breakfast, charmfull and very helpfull owner, cheers!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Delphine was extremely welcoming and full of handy tips for visiting the area. The room was very comfortable and tastefully decorated and opened onto a sunny garden. Powerful shower. Very quiet, despite being near a main road. Private off street parking free of charge. Would not hesitate to recommend this place.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The property was in a beautiful state, the gardens well kept, the rooms is good shape, very clean communal area. The owners are very lovely people, contradicting the rumour that french aren’t kind. They take real good of their guests. The distance from Mont saint Michel is about 50min walk or 15-20mins on a bicycle. I wouldn’t count on a bus. The continental breakfast included croissant, bread, butter, juice, coffee and the most important of all home made black currant jam!
Cons: I wasn’t exactly sure of the distance to the tourist attraction, but the choice of bicycle hire from the property is an excellent choice!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Delphine was an amazing host. She was so helpful in recommending places to visit and sites to see. Situated not far from Mont St Michel. The breakfast and home made jam were superb!!! Also bikes available to hire to see the countryside!!! Highly recommended
Cons: Nothing!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Very close proximity to Mont St. Michel. Staff was extremely nice and helpful. Comfortable, updated room with personal touches (carved out Mont St. Michel artwork on the wall).
Cons: The breakfast was delicious, however it was only bread and jam. We have grown accustom to a variety of breakfast items being offered when traveling in Europe, especially when it is an additional charge. With that being said, we did ask for an egg and ham for our youngest child and Delphine happily brought it out.

Pros: This was a fantastic hotel to stay in, the suite we were allocated was so comfortable and offered everything we needed and more. It was so quiet, light and airy but with a very cosy feel too. Aurélie and Willy are perfect hosts and of course we fell in love with London, their English bulldog. The best bit for us was how relaxing we found our stay. Breakfast was great - the best scrambled eggs I can recall eating! We will be staying again when we can

Pros: We were welcomed by Willy and his wife who were very helpful with dinner reservations and made our visit a pleasure. We also loved visiting with their bulldog, London!
9,6 Excellent
Pros: This hotel is the smallest five star hotel in France. It is truly an exceptional boutique hotel. It is contemporary and chic. Our room was beautiful with a separate bedroom and living area. We had a small private sun deck area. The owners run the hotel and were wonderful, helping us with dining recommendations and local sightseeing trips. We had dinner one night which was great. The breakfasts were plentiful and offered anything you could have wanted. If you want to stay close to Mont Saint Michel and enjoy a little luxury, this is the place to be.

Pros: In an area where the hotel offering is not very good, l’ermitage was an absolute gem. We loved our stay. Hospitality, cleanliness, comfort were all 5 stars. Excellent hotel!

Pros: Excellent breakfast, comfortable bed, very clean with nice interior. The house is located in a quiet place, so you can have a good night's sleep. The Mont Saint Michel is within walking distance.
Cons: It's a 2.5 km walk from the bus stop/info center, which is fine if you are without luggage. If you have a heavy bag, it is best to have a car or ask for transfer.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: An excellent stay at this BnB. The room was very clean and quiet. The beds were comfortable and the wifi was decent. Breakfast was good as well. Excellent location for seeing Mont St. Michel but also for seeing some of the areas a little further west. The owner doesn't speak any English but it's still workable for us (it may not be for some.) There are cooking options with a good variety of pans and utensils. We purchased food that we kept in the communal fridge and that worked well for lunch on the road. Easy to find, easy parking which is well appreciated after some of the areas we've been! We didn't need heat while we were there but if you're there on the edges of the season (April/May or October) and the weather is bad you may want to confirm that they have it turned on (we found a number of places turn it off in April and back on in October no matter what the actual weather is so you can't assume.)
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Great Guesthouse just a few minutes' dive from Mont Saint-Michel. lovely family welcoming us. The room was very clean and tidy and breakfast was also lovely. Will definitely recommend.

Pros: Excellent location, very friendly and welcoming staff, bikes available to hire for only Eur1 and right on cycle path to Mont St Michel. It was this option to hire the bikes and not have to drive to Mt St Michel that made our stay. Staff super friendly also!

Pros: This was the PERFECT location for my visit to Mont St Michel. Beautiful, idyllic and tastefully decorated. And such a charming, family-run hotel.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Charming place in an excellent location. Very friendly and helpful staff.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: - It is a beautiful place. You can see the Mont Saint Michael from the river bank whici is near the hotel. - They give you travel tips to visit the Mont Saint Michael. - It is much nicer to stay the Rose Hotel than staying a tastless hotel located around the shuttle bus station of the Mont Saint Michael. The Rose Hotel has an atmosphoer like a village hotel.
Cons: - You need to cleary ask a bus driver to drop you off at Beauvoir if you come from Paris. Otherwise, you need to walk all the way from the bus terminal of the Mont Saint Michael. - They took a day-off the day I checked-out. But they kept my luggage, so it was OK.
5,0 Okay
Pros: location was very good. Staff was very friendly and helpful
Cons: Very much outdated rooms with very small unpractival bathroom & toilet. Very noisy ( sounds from all other rooms) and smelly.

In a charming and peaceful location just close to Mont St Michel itself, the hotel offers spacious rooms with all modern conveniences. Looking to unwind after a day of meetings or sightseeing? 8,3 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location. Bus stop for the free shuttles (navettes) to Mont St. Michel are right in front of the hotel/across the street. That is also the bus stop for the bus to Pontorson-- train station, which is the nearest SNCF station. Bed was comfy, room was clean.
Cons: The hotel and room layout was a bit odd. Definitely a well-worn property and dated. That's not a big deal to me, but if you're looking for a romantic hotel or it's a honeymoon, I'd keep looking. I also felt it was overpriced for what you get. They could definitely take better care of the outdoor areas/walkways.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Good buffet breakfast with fresh orange juice

Pros: Clean and comfortable
Cons: Food

Pros: Location BUT see next comment
Cons: We had no clue about parking. Horrible experience. Parked in the common lot not knowing we could somehow go straight through the gate and park at the hotel. Two hours later (and 18 euro) we were able to get to the right location. Horrible experience! And expensive. The desk clerk was sympathetic but that’s it. BAD, BAD experience.

Pros: Staff was very friendly. The location was unbeatable! Being able to go out to Mont St Michel during daylight & evening hours on the shuttle was fantastic!
Cons: No negatives to report
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The small room was very clean. The bath was surprisingly big with a great tub and shower. The beds were comfortable and so were the pillows. The staff were VERY helpful and polite, very patient with my non French. Lastly, the breakfast was good, and the Hotel was close to the Mont St. Michel - an easy walk to the Abbey. The stairs leading to the Abbey were not easy.
Cons: More hangers for clothing would have been preferred.

Pros: Breakfast was fine - cold buffet but eat as much as you like. Location was superb, everything was within walking distance including the Mont! Great place to walk, cycle etc
Cons: We had trouble finding the entrance to the Hotel car park. There were so many bus/car parks directly beside it. A map with directions/instructions from the local (main) road would have been a great help.
7,0 Good
Pros: Great location
Cons: Staff a little ignorant
2,0 Mediocre
Pros: NOTHING
Cons: customer service.
6,7 Good
Pros: The hotel staff were really friendly and cheerful and the room was good value for the money we paid.
Cons: The village where the hotel is based feels like a generic corporate prison with attractions and amenities aiming towards an older population. Each time you exit the complex you have to pay 9euro and then you need a new entrance code to re-enter.
6,3 Good
Pros: Shower
Cons: No plugs to charge phone
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was excellent. Rooms were small. Front desk person was extremely helpful and a welcoming person.
Cons: More room between beds.

Pros: This hotel in in a community where you can drive in, get a car park access code and park. Hotel Gabriel is near restaurants and shops, the shuttle bus to the Mont ( which travels every 20 minutes to and from the Mont for free till midnight.) The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast had lots of variety. Staff were friendly and helpful. We travelled in early October do we really had no hassles with a park or large crowds.
Cons: Watch your head on the ceiling on the messanine floor and be careful going down the stairs, they are steep!
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Hotel is in a great location, walking distance to Mont Saint Michel. Rooms are nicely designed and looks nice.
Cons: Breakfast is very very weak. It will not harm receptionists to smile a bit to customers :)
10,0 Excellent
Pros: great breakfast and location

Pros: Location and breakfast.
Cons: Size of room, very small. Difficult to walk. Also, carpet not clean, hair in bathroom sink. I know it is a busy hotel.

Pros: Location was good for easy access to Mont St Michel, though there was no parking on site, we had to drive down the road and park our car next to a nearby shopping center for the night.
Cons: Room was tired and dirty. The glass of the one window of this 2nd floor room was broken into smithereens, with glass shards sticking out every which way. We were shocked that they gave us this room, but so tired on checking in that we just went to sleep and left early the next morning. What hotel would do this to guests?
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Bed was so comfortable and a fair look at the Mont Saint Michel by night from the balcony. Very quite. Oyesters at the restaurant.!!!
Cons: I did not understand that it was possible to park, I just received a "code" that i did not know where to use therefore I could park nearby the hotel and instead I parked quite far away.
7,1 Good
Pros: Breakfast was fairly good for the price. The room was very well cleaned.
Cons: Staff didn’t explain that it is impossible to get dinner after 9 pm in any area near the hotel. We went without dinner the one night there.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Close to the Abbey.
Cons: Hauling the bags up the four flights of stairs. No elevator. No AC
8,8 Excellent
Pros: amazing location, close to the shuttle bus stop to Mont Saint-Michel, free parking available, spacious room, comfortable bed, sparkling clean
Cons: poor breakfast, bad WiFi signal, the interior of the rooms is a bit outdated
9,0 Excellent
Cons: No elevator may be a problem people with mobility issues
7,5 Good
Pros: Great location, it has a restaurant on site which was good however the service was very slow due to under-staffing I believe. Parking was easy. It was a tad difficult to find without having been sent prior instructions however we got there with pigeon french and a lot of hand movements
Cons: Only the restaurant service, it was slow and the place was a mess.
7,1 Good
Pros: Staff is nice. Location is good. But none of it makes up for the dangerously inadequate bathtub.
Cons: Nice place with a good restaurant, but the bathtub almost killed me. Slick and slanted floor and no hand rails or textured surface to help. I slipped getting out of tub and hurt my leg and back to the point where I could not walk around The Mont, which was my whole reason to come here. Would not recommend this establishment to any person with any kind of leg problems. The tub will hurt you as it did me. Ruined my stay. So unhappy.
7,9 Good
Pros: It is very close to Mont Saint Michael.
Cons: There is no lift! So, you have to carry up your luggage.

Pros: Location is perfect. I stayed at Monst Saint Michel view room, and we could see it from the best location. It was cold so we didn't use but large terrace was there as well. Reception staffs were very helpful during our stay.
Cons: Safety box was broken. There was no instruction how to use your coffe machine in the room, but when I called the front desk, receptionist came to help. I think these are acceptable unless you are staying at luxury hotels like Ritz Paris.
3,3 Mediocre
Pros: The only good part is the location and the view but it’s not worth it
Cons: The staff was slow and rude, restaurant was something beyond your wildest imagination - dirty, expensive, service and food were the worst. My advice - try eating at Saint Michel there are plenty of nice places with proper food. Even breakfast was shocking - no hot water for tea, no cheese...Empty/ not refilled pots of warm dishes..
8,8 Excellent
Pros: The view was awesome
5,8 Okay
Pros: Location
Cons: Dirty toilets, staff all outside smoking . Didn’t pass access code to get in. Restaurant was closed for party. We’d like to have known that
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was excellent, very helpful, especially M., a young lady who was really kind to us. The family room was excellent and the view was great (will probably be even better in autumn, winter and in the beginning of spring). The breakfast was good. Check in and check out were flawless and flexible.
Cons: During summer the view can be a bit blocked by some trees on the first floor.
5,8 Okay
Pros: This hotel has the best location. Provided they don’t give you a room behind the trees you could have a good view of the monastery. At least at breakfast. However, because of the view, they don’t have to try, or maintain the hotel. It is shabby, the food is mediocre at best, the rooms haven’t been touched in thirty years, there is mold in the bathrooms, paint peeling off the woodwork. But you’re here for the view. The bus loads will pour in whether the roof has a hole in it or not. So why bother and waste money on unnecessary items like maintenance or cleanliness or food quality? Unnecessary.
Cons: We booked a room with a view of the monastery. They switched us to an “obscured view” meaning you could see the top of the spire. The resin they gave was that we booked through booking.com so they gave our room to someone who paid more. What do they care? Apparently nothing.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Great location. Comfortable rooms. Friendly team.
Cons: Food seems expensive for what it is. €38 for steak and chips. Breakfast was included but pretty average.
7,5 Good
Pros: Excellent location
Cons: Staff a bit slow at the restaurant (that is a bit expensive for the food offered)
5,8 Okay
Pros: As close as it gets to Mont St. Michel, very nice. Breakfast was ok with a nice view.
Cons: No toilet paper in the room, no towels, dirty laundry was parked right beside the rooms door during the whole stay. Rooms are worn out.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: One word “Fantastic” location, room with a view, beautiful Dinner and Breakfast. Very helpful and freindly staff

A continental breakfast can be enjoyed every morning at La Vieille Auberge. There is also a bar at the hotel, and the restaurant serves traditional French cuisine. 7,5 Good
Pros: The location is a once of a lifetime choice. Ideal staying on the actual Mont.
Cons: I would recommend another room as this one has an unusable outdoor location due to birds making a mess of the place. Can’t have breakfast outside or enjoy the beautiful sunsets.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Staying right on the island was great avoiding the busy crowd during the day.
Cons: The patio was filthy with bat guano. That is not healthy and we could not use the area.
7,9 Good
Pros: I love the ancient environment. It was like being a kid again
Cons: Everything closes early. It ruin my experience. I won’t stay there next time.
7,5 Good
Pros: Great view over the plain with an amazing sunrise, and a very useful toiletries pack provided in the washroom. Pillows were good!
Cons: would have liked a little chair or two!
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Position on the mont. Great to be there when others had left. Room clean with great shower. Good wifi.
Cons: Room quite small but adequate. Tea making facilities would be good.
7,5 Good
Pros: The view from the room was beautiful. The location is very unique. It was an experience.
Cons: Room appeared to be isolated and dated. However in all fairness it was appropriate for the location. Don’t know if the other 2 hotels on the island have the same feel.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Very near and confortable
Cons: Nothing
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Location and the view
Cons: Not well insonorisé , you can ear the next door conversation
7,5 Good
Pros: We had a great view over the city and the ocean. Therefore we could experience the tides. The bed beds were comfortable and the bathroom was modern and clean!
Cons: Unfortunately we didn’t know about the really big and REALLY LOUD BELL which was located DIRECTLY in front of our room and terrace. The bell started ringing at crazy times (f.e. 17:38; 18:07; 18:54 etc.) and the ringing lasted really long (Minimum of 10 minutes). One week after our stay I can still hear the Ding Dong in my head... And we didn’t have a fridge in our room.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Location s great. Very helpful and nice hostess
Cons: Hard to find anything to complain

Overview Reviews
With a stay at Auberge Saint-Pierre in Le Mont-Saint-Michel, you'll be steps from Mont Saint Michel Abbey and Mont-Saint-Michel. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, multilingual staff, and luggage storage.
6,3 Good
Pros: Location was great.
Cons: 17 euro for buffet breakfast and same rate for children! Family of 4 (kids 4 and 8) - 68 euro breakfast? No thank you. Big water stains on the ceiling of the room - not great when you are paying > 300euro/night. Overall not worth it to stay on island as food choices (not just this hotel but the whole island) super expensive and poor quality - it's a tourist trap! I though the ability to be there in low crowds would outweigh the above, but nope. Better to stay cheaper off site and take the shuttle early/late to avoid crowds.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Well, the value of staying on the Mont is not having to go back and forth on the shuttle, which is set up nicely but can get crowded. So, you get to walk right out the front door of the hotel and there you are. You also have a quiet place to get away from the crowds. The Auberge Saint Pierre was clean with a very friendly staff. Anne got us a code for parking right away when we emailed her within a few hours of our arrival. Don't sweat the parking if you have never done this. It was super easy and all the instructions are on the Auberge's web site. Basically, there is a parking lot just for hotel guests that is closer to the pick up point for the shuttle. You pull up, put in the code they give you, get your parking ticket, and find a spot. Then, you walk to the shuttle pick up point which is right next to the parking lot. Our room was clean and the breakfast was very standard in a private dining room just for hotel guests. Breakfast was quiet and away from the crowds. My only advice is try to be chill with the staff. Anne was very attentive and answered all of our questions. They even have a private back door for guest for after hours entrance from the rampart behind the hotel. Our room was tight but we expected that. The bathroom was very clean with one of the all purpose shower shampoo/bath gel dispensers. Americans just need to remember that this place was built hundreds of years ago so don't expect big spaces. Pack light and enjoy the Abbey. Mont Saint Michele is basically Disney World but with a must see medieval Abbey that is unbelievable to tour. It's worth the crowds and staying at Auberge Saint Pierre makes it that much easier. There are people there from all over the world so just relax, take it in, and if you want to stay on the Mont, this place was great.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: very quiet, and perfect for sleep
Cons: slightly confusing in terms of navigating through the property, main picture on the website isn't represented correctly
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Amazing view
Cons: Difficult access but worth it for the view.
7,9 Good
Pros: Lovely quaint room with a private courtyard. Spotlessly clean, could hear the bells tolling. Staff were very helpful & our meal n the restaurant was just what we needed. Delicious
Cons: A lot of stairs but that is Saint mont Michel.
6,7 Good
Pros: Nice view. Service was just OK.
Cons: Balcony below our room talked until way late in the night. The room was far, far from the lobby.
6,7 Good
Cons: Prices are highly overstated for what you get - a total tourist trap. And the staff are brisk to the point of bordering on rudeness.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Check in was very smooth. My room had a beautiful view of the sea. The staff was very accommodating. It was nice being on the island after most of the tourists had left.
Cons: The food in the restaurant was okay, but it was also very convenient.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: It is on the island and the whole Mont St Michel is just incredibly beautiful.
Cons: Most of the restaurants on the island is a rip-off. Totally overpriced and the food is mediocre. But they get 2 million visitors a year so it doesn't really matter.
8,3 Excellent
Cons: They have no facilities for helping with luggage. When people are travelling to many places , and coming from different countries, it's impossible to control the amount of nessisary luggage .but otherwise, a great stay

Overview Reviews
Located in Le Mont-Saint-Michel, Hôtel la Croix Blanche is in the historical district, a 1-minute drive from Mont Saint Michel Abbey and 10 minutes from Alligator Bay. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby and luggage storage.
7,9 Good
Pros: This is a historic building and so not modern or luxury. It was perfect for the setting, and we enjoyed the view we had of the bay. Our room next door for the kids, had three beds and it was a perfect little corner for our family. The staff were very nice, and let us stow our bags after checkout.
Cons: There was a terrible smell after the 2 or 3 floor, I’m not sure if something had died or if it was a plumbing problem. Inside our room was a bit better and if the windows were open, it was fine. If anything the view made up for it
7,9 Good
Pros: The rooms are comfortable with the necessary amenities
Cons: You really shouldn’t bring anything larger than u can carry up 5 flights of stairs. There is no elevator or anyone to help. We ended up leaving our bags secured in the basement and bringing up the necessities in a backpack. Also there were so many mosquitoes and no air conditioning so the room was quite stuffy and warm.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Mont-saint Michel is such a cool place. While I think you only need a day there- max- it was great to be staying on the Island. The room had an amazing view and easy access to the ramparts. Overall - great!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: For us, the advantage of staying on Mont St Michel was worth the extra $. The room was clean, interesting, and had a view over the water.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: 14.00 check-in time. The room was small, but pleasant with a comfortable bed and good shower. It was up 3 floors from Grand Rue, but as we left most of our gear overnight in the car, that was not a problem. The best bit though is staying on Mont St Michel for the evening. We watched the tide come in at 16.30 and then walked around after dinner when the crowds had thinned out.
Cons: Our room overlooked Grand Rue and there was a choice of opening the window having a cool, but noisy room or closing the window and being a bit too warm. Once deliveries and garbage collection started around 4am, it was noisy even with the window closed. Bar service was slow.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We liked the location. We also liked the beautiful view of the abbey during the day and the way it was lite up at night.
Cons: All the steps to the fourth floor but it was worth it.
6,3 Good
Cons: Room was very small and very inaccessible.three circular stairways to get to room, no lift. Had to have help with luggage although staff did help me. During the day the only way to access room was thru the ramparts. Room rate was very pricey and not sure it was worth the money to stay on the island
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Ramparts right outside the hotel. I walked all alone to watch the sunrise. It was stunning.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: There are no cheap hotels inside Mont Saint Michel. This hotel met my expectations completely.
Cons: Sea gulls scream from 6:00 am they didn’t let us to have a good sleep.

Overview Reviews
Located in Le Mont-Saint-Michel, Hotel le Mouton Blanc is in the historical district, a 1-minute drive from Mont Saint Michel Abbey and 10 minutes from Alligator Bay. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Having an overnight stay on Le Mont St Michel is amazing. Walking around a medieval walled island city at midnight with no one else around is truly daunting. Only a few lights line the Grand Rue, and with rain and wind, finding the solace of light is highly welcome. If you stay on the island, you can take in mass at 06:50 in the abbey. Furthermore, you can be the first in the abbey the next morning beating the day crowds for space and photos. The dinner formule by the restaurant Le Mouton Blanc was also a good meal with nice ambience and very efficient staff. The included breakfast the next morning is a well supplied spread of pastries, cheese, meats, cereals, juices and coffee/tea. While the rooms are tiny, they are very clean and well presented.
Cons: Well....the staff member at the front desk was on her own and working frantically to process a large volume of check ins and out. Hence, the lines were long as Le Mouton Blanc check in is currently done by Les Terraces Poulard. If you are not fluent in French then the difficult annex building locations are very hard to follow and even worse for her to explain. Then, our two rooms were in seperate buildings, not a major problem, but inconvenient when travelling with children. For those who are 6 foot or taller, then you won't fit on these single beds which are shorter and less wide then any single bed I've ever seen.
6,7 Good
Pros: Staying on Mont St. Michelle is spectacular as you see the famous site with no crowds in the late evening and early morning; it is very special! Accommodations are limited and consequently you do not have much choice -this was really just okay - small room and bath in an annex building, though the street definitely had its own charm. The breakfast room staff worked extremely hard and yet were very friendly. That said, I think I would have kept looking as there must be some better places in the town that match the charm of the famous buildings.
Cons: The attitude of the management. Wee booked here very early with a two-night minimum for a very substantial rate compared to anywhere else in France. Our original flight was cancelled and moved to a morning departure- due to the tide schedule, we had to leave the night before to stay at the airport so had to leave the hotel after only one night. I understand that this was our problem and we did not get expect to get any money back but we really received no understanding at all from the management. The gentleman on the reception was very nice but even he was not compassionate - and I am sure they could rent the room for the night we left as it was an exceptional high tide night. Anyway, I do accept that it was my responsibility but could have used a little understanding at their end.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Great castle location, great staff!
5,8 Okay
Pros: It wasn't an Irish breakfast !!!!! but as continental breakfasts go it was good.
Cons: The fact that we were directed to an annex 50meters away and was unable to find it in the rain.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location, very comfortable bed, charming little hotel that takes you back in time yet all the modern comforts. Great shower, good breakfast, excellent staff. We especially enjoyed dinner on the terrasse. The food was superb! Staying overnight on the island allows for a more leisurely visit when the crowds have left and you can roam the streets and ramparts and took lovely photos without distractions. Loved watching the tide come in and surround the island.

Pros: Best to confirm in advance that there's no special event at the Abbey - we were unable to visit the Abbey as there was a concert (?) there. Don't miss the walk around the rampart.
Cons: Best to confirm in advance that there's no special event at the Abbey - we were unable to visit the Abbey as there was a concert (?) there. Don't miss the walk around the rampart.

Pros: The staff were wonderful. They spoke English very well but also helped me practice my French. The food at the restaurant was also very good. The breakfast was Included in the rate and it was actually very good! I was comfortable in the room! I did not need much space so the small room was ok with me.
Cons: Check in was not until 4, but that was ok because I was starving anyway and the restaurant was really good. I had the lamb. The water pressure in the shower was pretty poor. There was no view.
10,0 Excellent

5,7 Okay
Pros: The location of the hotel was fantastic! The room was clean and neat.
Cons: The breakfast was a little pricey. And they gave us a room overlooking the main street which was a bit loud, I assume in the peak season it would have been pretty unbearable with the nose.
7,2 Good
Pros: Clean, centrally located, friendly staff and good facilities.
Cons: Expensive for what it was, but understandable due to central location.
7,0 Good
Pros: the location in the annex gave me views of the bay and of the abbey!
Cons: The room in the annext lacked the charm of the main building.
7,7 Good
Pros: Room was great, staff was friendly, the location could not be any better are a few good things that come to mind. The hotel restaurant was very good also.
Cons: There was no one to help with the luggage. This was a problem as the parking lot was a long way away from the hotel.

Pros: Very cozy and clean hotel. Room, bath, toilet is very clean, TV with main French channels, soap, shampoo is included which is rare in European 2star hotels. The city is very calm, everybody is friendly. Stayed there during the visit to Mont Saint-Michel. You'll have to walk 15-20 minutes to the shuttle bus station along the autoroute. Pros: Ease of getting to
Cons: Carpeting in really bad shape

Cons: Very small room
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Location was great and the office was helpful with information. The beat was being able to walk around later in the evening when all the other tourists are gone and in the morning to enjoy breakfast and explore again without the crowds. If you don’t like crowds the only way is to stay the night on the Abbey! Best decision we made!!
Cons: The room was a little small but we were expecting that so no surprise.
5,4 Okay
Cons: Over priced, one company governs this hotel and others together with restaurants & gift shops. Overly priced . It is better to stay at the main land, dine at the main land and just come to mont saint michel for an hour of walking tour. I reccomend this to everybody. The island is gorgeous but not the establishments!

Pros: Breakfast was excellent and the room was clean. The woman desk clerk in the afternoon was fabulous! She went above and beyond to help us find a restaurant in Cancale and on the island. We would not have had that wonderful trip into Brittany with her recommendation and we loved the drive to the coast!
Cons: Breakfast was excellent and the room was clean. Unfortunately there was no soap or shampoo in the bathroom. The packages of makeup pads was open and there was only body lotion. When we got back from the island no one was at the desk and we couldn't get soap or shampoo. Upon telling the desk clerk in the morning he did not take anything off the price of the room. We know mistakes happen, but not being able to bathe appropriately should have been worth money off our bill.

Pros: The location is great and it is easy to park and get access to everything. The restaurant food was lovely and the staff was very friendly too. Even though the beds were a bit narrow, they were comfortable and the place was clean.
Cons: The hot water in the shower took ages to warm up. It only get going once I opened the sink tap as well. There wasn't a lift but thankfully the hotel staff assisted us getting upstairs with our luggage and child. Breakfast room was dirty and food was uninspiring for a 230 euros/night stay.

Pros: It’s location for an overnight visit.
Cons: Dated decor. Curtains need repair.
4,2 Okay
Pros: The meal in the restaurant was nice but not spectacular.
Cons: Hotel low grade. Mont Saint Michel spectacular to visit but very poor to stay. Go but don’t stay on the island.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The location is UNBEATABLE! We were very lucky to find 3 rooms on short notice (Mont Saint-Michel sells out quickly); it is quite magical to stay on the island. The staff was great, as well as the breakfast. Stunning views on the bay. I would do it all over again if I could! Important note: you still need to reserve at the restaurant downstairs if you want to eat the famous omelette.
Cons: Lots of stairs, so pack light! Standard comfort for a steep price, but you don't come for luxury, you come for the magic of Mont Saint-Michel (I would do it all over again!). No a/c but wasn't needed.
7,1 Good
Pros: Fabulous way to see mont saint michel- check in late, walk the Abbaye and have the island to yourself. Very quiet night! No AC
Cons: No AC- Food wasn’t great
9,4 Excellent
Pros: Nice room, goodining amenities. In-room coffee pot would be nice but was provided downstairs with breakfast.
Cons: No wifi. Didn't know we needed dinner reservations, dinners are early on Mont Saint Michel.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: For spending the night on Mont St-Michel, this is the best. It's located just inside the gate from the causeway. Then you climb lots of stairs to your room. But hey, you are going to climb, climb, climb on the Mont anyway, and there was a door straight out to the adjacent staircase from our room- we were part way to the abbey already! Loved the breakfast and dinner at restaurant was awesome, with the famous omelets. The bed was comfy, and the bathroom just fine. We had a good time staying here, it was just what we needed.
Cons: Our room was located on the European 3rd floor (4th floor US). The windows opened to one of the staircases going up the Mont, and people could see in, but we just arranged the curtains to block the view. There was some white-noise from not sure what, some kind of roaring generator or AC unit down below our windows and we needed to keep the windows open for air circulation as it was quite stuffy in the room. It didn't keep us awake. :)
9,2 Excellent
Pros: We had a bay view room on tbe 3rd floor. Everything. View,, size of room, comfortable bed, fresh air.it was amazing!
Cons: Very early morning lengthy garbage disbursement of bottles by restaurant below.

Pros: The location is fantastic.
Cons: The location means you will hear when the garbage is being picked up in the early morning. Also note that parking is not free (false info on booking.com).

Pros: Great building and nice to stay at Mont Saint Michel. The views and walks around are beautiful and the history behind it is wonderful. We had dinner at the hotel which was amazing. Thank you.

Pros: This hotel is on Mont Saint Michel. Staying here allows you to explore the Mont at night. This is a magical experience.
Cons: As expected on the Mont, there are many many stairs. Pack very lightly.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Sex was great
Cons: No shower curtains
3,8 Mediocre
Pros: Nice location.
Cons: The rooms are basic at best. At US$250/night, the prices are outrageous for the quality and amenities. The room as hot at night, even though it was cool outside, but the windows open directly onto the sidewalk where anyone could literally step into your room—needless-to-day, we did not feel comfortable opening the window while we slept for safety reasons. No coffee in the rooms—only tea, which means you have to go to the restaurant and buy a cup of coffee. The drapes were broken with tattered cords hanging on the floor. The bathroom is very dark and the towels are threadbare. Worst of all, each guest is provided with one *very small* (dare I say miniature) square pillow to sleep. The hallway was narrow and dingy and left strewn overnight with piles of towels, vacuum cleaner, and other cleaning items lying in heaps to trip over. Such a disappointment.
