Easirent customer service worst in the world 0/100 starsPros:Nothing.Cons:If there were worse categories i would have used them. The customer service was 0/100 stars, the worst i have ever experienced in my life. Upon renting the car we were suggested to pay for a full tank of gas. We told the employee that we were only driving to cambridge and would not be needing a full tank. He told us something along the lines (was difficult to understand 100%) that it would be the same price, so he suggested that, thats what we should do. He did NOT tell us that we wouldnt get money refunded for unspent gas!? We agreed to buy the tank and upon returning, a second employee told us we would not be getting money back for unused gas (completely new information). He told us that we could go down and fill up the tank, return it full and he would try and change the contract for a possible refund. Upon return suddenly he was not able to do anything at all to help us, except that we could write to customer service. We did upon returning home - and ofcourse, customer service will not take any responsibility for the words of the employees at stanstead. In the end, due to ridiculously poor service we ended up paying 58 GBP for about a a quarter of gas. Needless to say we were stunned by the service we recieved at Easirent.Reviewed Aug 27 2017

Bad company policies, good employeesPros:The guy attending was really nice and helped a lot, even gave us a lift to the airport after we had some trouble when dropping off the car.Cons:The "shuttle" to the rental office is a regular bus that runs every 40', plus 15' drive. The car rental requires a deposit of 1250 pounds which most credit cards cannot support, thus having to pay a 17pounds/day extra to lower the deposit to 500 pounds. When picking up the car it was late night and there was no light and so we barely could see anything on the car since it was black. When dropping off the car we were charged with the 500 pounds deposit for things we hadn't done, fortunately we had pictures from the morning after picking it up and the guy at the office, who was a really nice guy, took those as proof. Was it not for him, the guy checking the car would have charged us with the whole deposit for things that were clearly too old to have been done by us.Reviewed Mar 8 2017

Ridiculously far from the airport ... not only distance but timeCons:The lack of information about what shuttle to get from the airport. The schedule of the shuttle from the airport once I finally found out which bus it was... it was once every HOUR. Once on the bus, seeing that you had to pay 3 GBP EACH to travel. Not taking card on the bus... because we were not informed we had to pay. Then arriving at the rental place faced with a queue of 10 people... took me 4 hours from landing to getting the car and home (7 miles away) Then being told my booking did NOT have CDW and therefore it was an extra 70 GBP. insurance scammers plain and simpleCons:absolute scam .. sell you a cheap hire package then bully you into paying to reduce the excess ....95 pound charged to your card for fuel that you may get back if you are very lucky . returned my car with a small scratch and was informed well that's your 500 gone .. without even looking at the car .. add to that the 75 pound admin charge and there all round indifference and ignorance to how to treat ppl with dignity made it a horrible experience ... stay well clear from easirent scam artists whose business model is rent cheap because once we've got their card details we can rob them blind .. Disgusting Service, deep regretCons:The shuttle form aiport to the office did not come; we had to pay GBP 22.00 to reach the offfice, the adress for the easirent office in your confirmation was not correct as well, ( in the confirmation you had indicated Sheraton Skyline it was nowhere near to the hotel) When we arrived, they tried to sell extra insurance, wanted to get a deposit of GBP 1250, they also wanted to add GBP 26.00 as an extra fee, I did not rent the car as a result of all these, the people in the office were also quite impolite. I had to pay the insurance in the end, hope I was not charged the rental fee, as I was confirmed. My 2 day holiday to London was ruined in the end, please cancel your agreement with this company to keep your good reputation,Reviewed Sep 11 2017

A long arduous processPros:New cars can be availableCons:Pickup takes forever at LHR as they never have enough staff and spend ages with each customer trying to upsell you on insurance. Unfortunately the whole process seems disingenuous as they then charge you a predetermined price for a tank of fuel upon which you find the fuel y tank is not completely full.Reviewed Jan 15 2017

Cons:We waited 3 hours for our car to be ready at the rental place even though we showed up on time. Additionally the company made numerous charges to our credit card that we did not approve, the staff were rude and unpleasant towards customers. They took no responsibility for their shortcomings and blamed all of the issues on the customers, there were several yelling matches between customers and staff in the rental office. The actual rental car place was a 15-20 minute shuttle to the airport and it was advertised as being at the airport, and the shuttle only came every 45 minutes. Overbooked cars, waited over 2 hoursPros:Car was comfortable.Cons:They did not have the full size, 5 bag capacity sedan, which we needed, and booked for a reason They tried to give us a smaller sedan, bags wouldn't fit. Tried to give us an SUV, they pulled it up, then said nope, it's over miles. Tried to give us a truck with a camper shell. Um, no. Ended up with a station wagon, without a functioning parking brake. Got zero explanation of how vehicles are very different in the U.K. Than at home. Then they tried to say upon return that we scraped the side of the car, when we pointed it out at the pick up. In top of it all, we had purchased insurance on the car, it was not disclosed that you had to buy theirs in addition to it.Reviewed Apr 15 2017

Bait and SwitchPros:Staff were always polite.Cons:Our reservation says we get a car big enough for 4 people and 2/3 suitcases. When we get there we have a car so small went can barely get a car that will hold one case. Then the "upgrades" begin... "We don't have any of the next class up in auto, you will have to go up 2 classes". "Even though you bought insurance beforehand we have to charge you a $1700 deposit against damages and a $100 deposit for fuel. If you pay another $600 for our insurance we'll waive the deposit..." At the end of all this, the car they gave us was still too small to get all the bags in the back (they were not huge). I'm never going this route again. I'll just pay the normal amount upfront with a tier 1 rental co. and leave the "savings" on the table, as they were actually no such thing. We ended up paying at least what we would have plus a ton of crazy deposits. If you just need a car for ONE person, go for it, but if you need it for more forget it - all they had were small cars which have no right being offered in the class they are supposed to be for. Cons:They scam people. Wish I was smart enough and rented from somebody else! First, they charged me for additional third-party insurance. Their T&C says they provide one already but in realty they demand you to pay more money or else they won't rent the vehicle to you. They didn't like any letters I showed them and wanted quite specific letter addressed to them. They charge ridiculous $80 "management fee" for a ticket. And they charged me $120 for cleaning a vehicles though the guy greenlight the return and let me catch the bus. They told my bank that the reason because I didn't sign the slip was because "return done outside of working hours" (really, 7am is outside of your working hours? You open at 5am!)
