Pros: Loved it! It was my birthday - we were upgraded to better room with the bottle of champagne and received present from resort management! Thank you for making it special. Extremely clean, very helpful staff and the great beach. Great location - 20 min want to fish market and a supermarket. The hotel also helped us to rent the car - they deliver car to the hotel and we just drop the car key at the front desk. We did not book all inclusive, had everything we need in the room.
Cons: nothing
3,0 Mediocre
Cons: It was so noisy that one couldn't sleep.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Property was gorgeous. Room fabulous with beautiful balconies and views; room and bath very comfortable and well appointed. Staff very accommodating at front desk and concierge. Beautiful beach, pools and gardens.
Cons: Could had used 2 extra pillows. Housekeeping after 1st night not great. Left dirty dishes from room service in room, sink and on balcony. Room service breakfast adequate but not very good.
7,0 Good
Pros: The restaurant by the beach and the beach facilities
Cons: The live music in the evenings was just too loud, very intrusive even with balcony windows closed it was too much. Not many seemed to be enjoying it yet it. Also strange variance in the staff, some lovely and friendly but one notable exception was the barman who was very aggressive and confrontational.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly family run hotel. Well located between St Lawrence Gap & Oistins (both walkable)
Cons: View from ground floor room was a little restricted
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The beach was amazing, we haven’t seen a significantly better one on the island. Free equipment like boogie boards, sun umbrellas, sunbeds etc. was very convenient. The room was clean and contemporary. The balcony had a pretty pool view (and even a bit of sea) and it was shady in the morning, so it was nice to have breakfast there. The restaurant was not too pricey, but don’t expect extraordinary food. The concierge was helpful in booking tours around the island. The hotel is right on the beach, which is amazing. Bridgetown is 30 min away by public transportation, which runs regularly even on Christmas Day.
Cons: The main inconvenience we have encountered is the music played in the evenings by the pool. It was very loud, one could still hear it with the balcony doors closed and earplugs in. I appreciate the entertainment provided at the hotel, but one must have a choice whether to join the party or not. Even though it ended at 10 p.m., being jet lagged after a transatlantic flight I’d like my peace and quiet in the evenings.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location, in between Oistins and St Lawrence Gap. This hotel has the best staff and a very happy happy hour
8,5 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is beachfront, nicely laid out, comfy, clean.
Cons: It does not protect the guests from taxi overcharging - the only country I've been to (and I've been to many) where taxi fare from the airport to the hotel is cheaper than from the hotel to the airport!! Taxi overall is expensive, and there are no cheaper alternatives for families. Ocean waves were all the time too choppy to swim. Hotel could use renovation.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Staff very friendly and efficient. Superb location. Excellent food.
Cons: No lift
8,8 Excellent
Cons: There are no elevators so those on higher floors had some exercise before reaching up. This would be difficult for elderly and physically challenged people

Pros: The view from the room was welcoming.
Cons: Beach chairs need to be replaced. Washer and dryer malfunctioned. The ceiling in the second bathroom fell, damaging the tub. The manager quickly addressed the issues but these issues were an inconvenience. The ceiling started to be displaced again but did not fall.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: This place is very clean and in perfect location to get around St.Lawrence Gap, bar and eateries right next door!! We enjoyed the ambiance and loved that we had the ocean as our backyard everyday!! If i could give place more than 10, I'd give it 100 stars!!
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Very clean and modern. We had oceanfront and was perfect
Cons: The location is in an area that is kinda run down. Near some great restaurants and very nice people
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Cyrus was wonderful! He showed us to our room, gave us a number to call for 24 hour assistance (his #), and overall was very helpful and friendly. The condo was very nice and clean, with full kitchen and beach view. The private beach was very relaxing. We didn't want the hustle bustle of a hotel this trip and we were not disappointed in our accommodations. This is not a 5 star resort with bars, restaurants and amenities, so if that is what u want, look for a $750-1000/night resort on Sandy Lane. This is a quiet, relaxing vacation condo with a beautiful view of the ocean and local restaurants within walking distance, and city within 10 minute drive.
Cons: A couple umbrellas available for the beach, vs just chairs. However, Cyrus the manager on site provided his personal umbrella for us to use! (Pls dont ask him to borrow it lol !)
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We were given a tour of facilities at check in. The unit had 2 full bathrooms and a pull out bed in the front room. Central A/C and extremely clean and modern. Laundry facilities inside the room for easy access. The beach at rear was spectacular saw turtles swimming.
Cons: Pool was too cold (April) however property on the beach so we went on the beach which was even better. Next door had a cash bar for easy access to drinks. Parking was tight but doable.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Everything nothing to complain about. Cyrus the manager is very nice flexible and a great guy who takes his time explaining everything and helping out. He just made our stay special We came early and left late and it was no problem. The place is directly at the beachfront and a beginner surfer Mekka. Cyrus even speaks good german. I would definitly stay there again any other time. There even is a rental car available at the property if you enquire early, everything was really easy going!!
Cons: Moving the beach chairs in and out the of property was a drag, the private beach could be maintained and cleaned a little better
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Location. Convenient for St Lawrence Gap entertainments. Cyrus was an excellent host !!
Cons: A bit hot but ac cooled it down.

Pros: This place is fabulous. It really feels like home. The staff treats you like family. My bajan family visited and did not want to leave. I had an exceptional stay!

Pros: . Nice pool and nice beach. Room was large and had a kitchenette (we did not need or want ) but the balcony overlooked the ocean and it was a good spot.
Cons: They did not have coffee in the room (or in the lobby) Small cafe in hotel had breakfast and lunch. Never saw anyone in there. No shampoo ....or amenities. Should have been warned as we assume there would be some there. Asked at the desk and they just said no they had none there. Interesting , since it was not a cheap hotel. They just said they were not a hotel. Hmmmm!
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice, small property located on a quiet stretch of beach that few people seemed to know about. The water and sand were just wonderful in this short stretch.
Cons: Note that there is a chain-linked fence and vegetation between the property and the sea. The view of the ocean was obstructed unless you are on higher floors.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Great property- awesome staff
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The view was wonderful right on the beach. And the attentive staff and privacy
9,0 Excellent
Pros: The size of the room was very generous ; the beds very comfortable ; the size of the hotel was just right - not too large like some major hotel chains . The staff were very helpful and accommodating. The location was great with good access to the beach and not too far to walk to restaurants and bars.
Cons: Nothing
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Beach quite private, clean accessable, we felt secure. The kitchenette was clean and well equiped. The TV channels were somewhat limited.
Cons: Lack of laundry facilities. We had a ground floor patio suite. It would have been better if we could have locked the patio door from the outside.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Everything. It was exactly the kind of place we were hoping for and more. The staff was exceptionally gracious.
Butterfly Beach Hotel - Christchurch - Building

Overview Reviews
Located in Oistins, Butterfly Beach Hotel is by the sea, a 4-minute drive from Miami Beach and 8 minutes from Rockley Beach. Featured amenities include a computer station, a 24-hour front desk, and luggage storage. Free self parking is available onsite.
7,9 Good
Pros: The location was fantastic
Cons: The food choices
6,0 Good
Pros: Great southern beach location, two pools very nice. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Neighborhood is quiet, location is near Oistins fish market. Watching the incoming planes overhead, close enough to see, but far enough to not make too much noise was a pleasure. Grilled marlin catch of the day was fantastic, and with a great garlic butter. On-site gift shop is extremely well curated. Room was spacious, bed was large and great, A/C very comfortable, kitchen facilities very good.
Cons: Geriatric British retirement home feel. Beach access is locked at 6pm. We arrived at 6:05pm for a sunset swim in the ocean, and there was no way whatsoever to get to the ocean - extremely disappointing! Room billed as ocean view was facing the general direction of where the ocean should be, but the view was of the bar and restaurant/grounds not of the ocean at all. In-room coffee was the absolute worst we've ever seen - Nescafe instant powder, with a non-dairy creamer that curdled and would not mix in to coffee at all.
7,5 Good
Cons: View in the room we had
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Proximity to the beach is optimal, the service staff is amazing and breakfast is lovely. The ocean view studio is very cute and comes with a stove, plates and cutlery if one is interested in cooking for oneself. This was a pleasant surprise.
Cons: The pool is not the biggest, and after having stayed at Accra Beach Hotel it was just basic but this is not a deal killer. The beach that the hotel occupies is not the the calmest but this is the south coast of the island and that's what you get. The walls are a bit thin and some adjoining rooms might have guests that are sticklers for quiet and your noisy child might drive them crazy :) Other than those minor things, they're really no downsides to this hotel.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: breakfast was a bit basic. happy hour was good.
6,0 Good
Pros: Food Location
Cons: The room is dated, it needs updating example, larger and more up to date television.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing location, close to several nice beaches, Oistins, St. Lawrence Gap, etc. Lots of cafes and restaurants within walking distance. The restaurant at the hotel is reasonably priced and the food was great. Good value for money as well. As a bonus, the beds were super comfy!
Cons: Most of the staff are rather grumpy and / or disinterested (as if they were forced to be there), which is contrary to the usual Caribbean cheerful spirit.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent facilities
Cons: Over use of reserved signs on dining tables held clearly for certain customers
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Modernised, good value, good food.
Cons: Lack of beach for swimming.

9,0 Excellent
Pros: Peaceful, tranquil, luxurious facilities.
Cons: Rodents were seen. Constant extermination required.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Location cannot be beat if visiting friends in Rockley. Great price and awesome value considering the full kitchen and property amenities (golf course and pool). Flexible property manager accommodated booking changes which was greatly appreciated.
Cons: A/C limited to the bedroom only so common areas were a little warm and sticky. Smell of mold in the bedroom perhaps because it is always closed, but the AC is not always on.
7,0 Good
Pros: Mostly Quite; Good layout; reasonably well landscaped; nice little shared pool by rooms; some staff very helpful.
Cons: Absence of good food facility - the place by the golf course lacked an expresso machine, for example, although I gather it only recently re-opened. After a power cut, I couldn't open my safe when I had to go out, and at 8:30 am, I couldn't find anyone around. I had to make a special trip back to the hotel to make sure it would open. Also, nobody pointed out and there was no sign at the office where to drop keys when leaving (checking out). Turns out if was in a box across the parking lot, located only because of a resident shouting out to me to help.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Clean and relaxed . Comfy bed and sofa. Staff were lovely. 15 mins walk to the beach or you could use the shuttle. Nice pool to relax in if you wanted to stay put.
Cons: Kitchen a little dated.
2,0 Mediocre
Pros: The apartment has a nice layout, the same as all of the other apartments in this cluster and all the other clusters. The pool area is nice, though there are not many sunbeds and they could do with replacing as they get saturated with water when it rains. The dining area has a light/fan that would be much more effective in the bedroom. That's about about the only positive things I can say I'm afraid, other than that the housekeepers do a good job and are friendly. We were allowed to check in early and check out late, which was very much appreciated.
Cons: We had to find additional accommodation for 3 nights due to the loss of our Thomas Cook flights and being unable to get the same dates. The apartment we left in a nearby cluster was really great and this one at the nearby Plum Tree Club does not compare favourably, even though the layout is identical - in fact, this is one of the worst apartments I have ever stayed in. We were not given the one shown in the picture (the apartment was 723, even though our documentation says 18). The lock on the door is broken and does not work properly - every time we tried to lock/unlock the door it was almost impossible and took ages before the key suddenly went in. This was reported but nothing was done, even though it just needs a new lock. The apartment is so poorly equipped and in need of a refurb, and the balcony gets absolutely no sun whatsoever at any time of the day. The kettle is an oven-top one that takes forever to boil (and could be a safety hazard if it is left on and forgotten) and there is just 4 of everything in terms of cutlery/crockery, except for teaspoons and there were just 2 of them. The bed is comfortable, but there is just a sheet and a thin throw - we were really cold during the night. The air conditioning only works in the bedroom when the door is closed. It wouldn't really take too much in terms of cost/time/effort to enhance this apartment (though the sun on the balcony obviously can't be changed). Thank goodness we were only here for 3 nights, I could not have stayed any longer than that.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: CleAn friendly staff nice pool
Cons: Nowhere to get food
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We usually spend our Christmas and New Year holidays in Barbados. Plum Tree Club is our favorite place to stay. Great location and properties. Checking in and checking out is quick and easy. Two ladies in the Office are very friendly, accommodating and helpful. Whatever you need, just ask. I want to mention that all the stuff (security guard, gardener, cleaning service...) work hard to keep this place beautiful, clean and safe. The units are well planned, spacious and comfortable. Kitchen is fully equipped. Internet is great. We were happy with only the bedroom being airconditioned. Just open the door to the patio and you feel a refreshing breeze in the living room and the kitchen. We look forward to coming back!

Pros: Location was good, but I'd like to try Midwest next time cause I hear the water is calmer.the resort is beautiful and clean but the rooms should be larger and not have an A.C. directly above a bed. Mom got very sick there which caused a huge damper on vacation.
Cons: A larger room with A.C. not directly above the bed.

Pros: We stayed at this hotel with our 3 month old daughter. It was our first trip abroad with her, and we had a fantastic week. The hotel and beach are beautiful. The food and drink is wonderful. Pros: The pool is great, grounds are kept immaculate ,Jamaican restaurant attached has very good food. Excellent vegetable seller always across the street,a good convenience store just a few minutes away
Cons: Only a door between units, light streaming through ,could hear every word of drunken neighbours as they swore and yelled, slamming doors in the middle of the night and/ or early mornings- totally ruined my sleep and our stay.Plus left a large, dead, cockroach on the floor by the desk to see how long it stayed, passed by two supposed cleaning days and not picked up.Extremely poor pots and pans, got an electric shock from stove, complained and it was fixed, supposedly.

Pros: The property was spacious and spotlessly clean. Staff were friendly and professional. Can’t wait to visit again.

9,0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing reception upon arrival; friendly and understanding. Walked us to the guest house which was lovely. Quaint space with all the amenities we were expecting. Kitchen had all needed cookware and utensils. Dishsoap provided on request. Always service with a smile.
Cons: The shower in the main room was tiny and the main bathroom was in need of a quick wipe down which we didn't mind doing. We requested a later checkout which was forgotten but then rectified in a conversation. I prefer a safe that you choose your own code in place of a keyed safe for security purposes.

Pros: Bed was big and comfortable. Room was spacious.

Pros: The bed was extremely comfortable
Cons: No microwave. Shower door could not be kept closed, all of the water was coming out on the bathroom floor. Telephone in the room not working. The door was squeaking every time opened. The kitchen garbage receptacle under the stove was too tall.

Pros: The people who work there are friendly and helpful. The many return guests add to the “family” feeling which makes you want to come back. Free internet and a lovely beach. I enjoyed the beach restaurant and the happy hour was not to be missed.
Cons: Although the room was recently upgraded there were several poorly designed features, bathroom taps that were not out far enough to get your hands under, a fridge with the wrong swing door so you couldn’t reach inside. Awful chairs for deck uncomfor
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Everything else...The staff was warm and welcoming and helpful. The room was excellent it has in everything you would need for a relaxing stay.
Cons: My tv didn't have a tv guide so it was hard to choose something to watch. But otherwise there was nothing to dislike
7,0 Good
Cons: Very little water pressure in the shower.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The friendly atmosphere. The food. The manager's appreciation event.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was very accommodating and friendly.
Cons: None at all.
7,0 Good
Pros: The staff was very welcoming and pleasant. We were served drinks upon checking in and the lobby staff served us drinks or water each day. The resort was conveniently located in walking distance to St, Lawrence Gap, a strip of bars, restaurants and lounges. There was also a convenience store on the walk to the Gap so you don't have to go all the way to the supermarket for small items. The rooms were nice and as pictured. The cleaning staff were thorough.
Cons: The mattress for the pull out couch was EXTREMELY uncomfortable. I literally felt every single spring in that mattress. I left my vacation with back pain. The kitchen was stocked with glassware, plate and silverware but it was annoying that there were no paper towels to dry our hands and no sponge to clean the dishes ourselves. Also, it would have been nice if the pavilion by the pool was actually functioning. It looked like is used to be a bar/restaurant but it was not in use. We were able to sit at the tables under the pavilion but I was hoping for more activity and entertainment near the pool area. On the last day the power went out in some areas of the island and the hotel waited until it got dark on Monday evening to start handing out small candle lights and plug in a mobile generator for a light in the lobby. A resort of this size should definitely have a back up generator for situations like this. The resort would not even compensate us for the 1 day we were without power or hot water.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The location is excellent, with a great beach and plenty of restaurants, bars, music a short stroll away down St Lawrence Gap. I think this was my 3rd or 4th stay and the staff were great, especially Heather at the Front Desk who is very resourceful and a problem solver, Jaden at the Front Desk, Margaret the Operator, Kevin Cadogan at Pure Ocean and Denise, who cleaned the room.
Cons: Unfortunately I was unable to phone the front desk or access the internet for most of my stay. I think there should be an a la carte option at breakfast for those who don’t like big breakfasts or buffets where food is cold. Buildings near the beach could use some sprucing up and fresh paint.

Pros: Cheap, in St Lawrence Gap, walking distance to restaurants and beaches. Staff was very friendly

Pros: Access to many beaches, store down the street, range refrigerator microwave coffee pot. Fully equipped to make food and enough room for 2.
Cons: The prepaid breakfast was not well explained and for someone on a special diet there were not many choices. It would be better to alacart you meal for those reasons. As breakfast was our only scheduled meal at the property a very large group was there with buffet and it was confusing. We do not feel they staffed the restaurant adequately for this reason.
5,0 Okay
Pros: They did not provide coffee in the room. There were no washcloths, very minimal towels. It was advertised as seaside view so we didnt mind paying a little more, when we got there it was a garden view and the room needed much updating.

Pros: The beach was lovely high waves slight current but beautiful. If you walk down to the lifeguard station it is better. The room, for the most part, was clean however needs updating especially the shower 1st day no hot water (had to complain but they said it was a entire island issue ). 3rd day there was a flood right outside my room due to the huge rainstorm. The people were amazing from the guests to servers. Waking around as a solo traveler I felt safe and went out often. The hotel could use a nice renovation upgrade but for $$ it's with a go.
Cons: There was no hot water 1st day and flood outside my room. However, it just can an upgrade and some renovations in the rooms to liven them up
7,5 Good
Pros: The location is amazing as you are pretty close to Bridgetown ( a slow 1 hour meander on the boardwalk) near to food and drink outlets and directly on the beach
Cons: The lack of water pressure, some of the rooms do not have balconies and sometimes the maid cleaning can be a bit hit or miss
7,0 Good
Pros: The pool and beach area are lovely. The breakfast and lunch food is very good but relatively expensive
Cons: There were a lack of umbrellas by the pool. It wasn't clear when I booked the room that I wouldn't have a balcony.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Well kept, excellent staff and service. The food was good and reasonably priced. The spa was excellent. The hotel staff was caring , attentive and informative.
Cons: It needs some upgrades

Pros: Place is very clean and the staff is very friendly.
Cons: The wifi signal is very weak. The back building is like a dead zone they should really add in another wifi back there. There was a black out in the hotel for about 14 hours and we heard nothing from staff if we didn't ask. When I was leaving and asked they gave me a complimentary bottle of rum. I would've much preferred my money back for the night I paid for.
6,0 Good
Pros: The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. the restaurant was good and the pool was also very nice. location was also great right across the street from the beach and in lots going on in the gap
Cons: facilities were old and run down, my friends toilet was leaking and didn't get fixed for a couple days. very loud vent outside our room that was disturbing. housekeepers were exceptionally rude. a lot of other things i can tolerate considering what we paid but in the service industry its personality that counts. Unfortunately i would not go back to this hotel.

Pros: Nothing.
Cons: WORSE ALL INCLUSIVE HOTEL I'VE EVER BEEN TO. I have travelled a lot and stayed in plenty of all inclusive hotels. This one is by far the worse I've ever been to. It's so pricey and you definitely do not get what you pay for. The property is very old, the fridge in the rooms is always EMPTY, staff is EXTREMELY RUDE, the food is NASTY and if you ask them for something (such at juice, fruit or yogurt they give you nasty looks and tell you off), and not everything is included and there is nothing else you can drink besides fake coke and Sprite if you don't drink alcohol. Be prepared for random taxes and to pay 2 USD for 500ml of bottled water. I would never come back to this hotel and I would definitely not recommend staying here at all.

8,0 Excellent
Pros: Left before breakfast..Location not great but in reality not there long enough to explore
8,0 Excellent
Pros: All the staff at reception and in the Mamu's Cafe were brilliant, pleasant and helpful, The location in relation to distance to loungers, cafe and the coastline was great. the bed was good quality with aircon. in the bedroom. The verandah was great for just sitting out. Lounge furnishing was comfortable. A 10 minute walk to Buffy's bar. shop and takeaway + 20 mins to other bars at Silver Sands was a bonus, Zed's surf shack and cafe just along the coast was also a great spot to watch wind surfers and sail boarders of which there were many. Small beach 10 min walk.Great coastal walks at sunrise and sunset!!
Cons: The kitchen could be described as 60's bedsit, with portable 2 ring electric hotplate which took 10 minutes to boil a 2 cup fill. The microwave oven and budget toaster had seen better days, only the fridge appeared to be a recent replacement. An electric kettle would be a massive improvement + mugs instead of tiny cups. Bearing in mind the apartments are designed for self-catering, this is not encouraging for a long stay .Shower in bathroom just a cold and VERY hot tap with no auto temp control requires caution + shower head with very little adjustment. No sink plugs in kitchen or bathroom. Mamu's Cafe is very basic with only dinner on saturdays and curry night on thursdays. On 2 occasions, menu items were unavailable but generally the breakfasts and lunch were acceptable. Open to sea winds ,hot meals soon get cold .When booking, "sea view" was in the description. As the second unit in from the coast, our ground floor verandah was the only place to get a restricted look of the waves.

Pros: The cafe/restuarant at the property was exceptional. Great service and a very interesting and varied menu with lots of healthy vegan and vegetarian options (which was unusual for the Caribbean). Shame it wasn't in a a busier location.
Cons: The property was a little remote with not much to do around it other than surf/kitesurf. The beaches nearby were covered in seaweed or too rough to swim from. You have to take the taxi or local bus to get to anywhere.

Hmmmm!

Pros: Beach quite private, clean accessable, we felt secure. The kitchenette was clean and well equiped. The TV channels were somewhat limited.

Cons: My tv didn't have a tv guide so it was hard to choose something to watch. But otherwise there was nothing to dislike
