Pros: Location was excellent for walking to temples. Services were super excellent and air conditioned rooms. Very very clean rooms and breakfast was the best in quality and service, open 24/7. We also got a great rate on a guided tour with transportation.
Cons: There are no elevators and we were on the top floor (4th floor). The lobby is outdoors so it was very hot and humid to sit in the lobby. The pool was very small. They got us a taxi that was twice the regular rate, so we just used Grab.

Service was ok - some people were fantastic while the others where somewhat rude.wish there were more lounge chairs by the pool... The soaps were weird and they make such a big deal about it . They didn't really replenish it. They left our room service outside of our room for more than two days.

Pros: This is a lovely boutique hotel, right in the middle of the Old City in Chiang Mai. We started off in their standard room, which was spacious and well appointed but we were upgraded to a bigger room after our shower could not produce hot water for 2 days in a row. This was appreciated. The pool is large, wasn't too cold and good for laps as well as lounging. The breakfast was good although more local options would have been great. Staff were able to produce a really excellent coffee each morning which always makes me happy. The courtyard (open) lobby area was elegantly appointed and perfect for quiet reading and working in the heat of the day.

Cons: The staff's professionalism can really be improved. They weren't rude but They need to work on the little things. My wife asked the front desk for a list of the costs associated with the hotel's laundry service. The guy at the front desk says "it's found in the closet near the tv" (which it wasn't). This is supposed to be a five star hotel. Other places would apologize and quickly go find a list for their guests, instead of fault the blame on their guests.
Additionally, there is no hair conditioner in the hotel's bathroom. I understand that some may not require this, but I'd be willing to bet a good portion of the hotel's guests do. You have to personally request conditioner from the hotel's maid service. Weird.
And finally, their drink pool service has a lot to improve upon. I had to go to the hotel's other bar on the other side of the hotel to get drinks by the pool. On the last day of my stay, the hotel staff told me I could call that bar and they would deliver drinks over to the pool, but when I called, no one answered.

Pros: A quite large room for a small family, hotel arranged a baby cot for our 2 year old daughter. breakfast was nice in the Canal restuarant. Hotel was set in a natual firendly way, plants and flowers are all around you. location is aside the canal and at the edge of old town, quite convenient to all locations in Chiang Mai. Airport pickup were very well provided, hotel also provides various choices of service connection (e.g. day tours, massage, etc.)

Pros: The room was very attractive and well decorated, and the beds were firm and comfortable. We enjoyed having a patio by the pool. The staff were extremely nice and helpful. When we needed a tuk tuk to go to the night market, they went out to the street to find one for us. They also provide free nightly shuttles to the night bazaar and weekend shopping street, and free airport transfer. Most of all, we enjoyed the pool, which was clean, beautiful and peaceful. We would stay here again for sure.

Cons: hot water was not stable in bath room, sometimes too hot, sometimes too cold. There is construction onging during the day, a bit noisy, acceptable when door is closed. Pool is nice, however the tree upthere happen to fall down in one of the evening, luckily not one got hurt.

Cons: The breakfast was too expensive and not really worth it. Even a cup of coffee was three times the price of a neighboring gourmet coffee house. The location of the hotel is right on the edge of the old town, next to a busy road, but it was still a very quiet and beautiful hotel.

The hotel is not big, the setting is okay, the room is out dated, the food is the worst Thai food I ever had. So don't eat your dinner their, the complimentary breakfast is not bad. I am glad I stayed at the hotel for only one night.

Cons: We arrived early morning after the first night booked...so that we could rest from our train journey we booked a night earlier so not to worry about check in times. We even message the day before to inform them what time we were coming. However, when we arrived they had changed our booking from King bed to twin so we had to wait for them to prepare a room and so didnt get to sleep until the room issue was solved. Disappointing as we have been at this hotel before and never had a problem like this.

Cons: - Seems the hotel has some type of permanent eucalyptus smell that diffuses through the air conditioner non-stop. It was so strong that it could give you a headache and hinder your ability to breathe properly. - Reserved and paid for tickets to Pai which our hotel kindly organised for us. However, we were unaware we should’ve been given tickets, which the hotel didn’t give us. When picked up, the bus company claimed they had no record whatsoever of our booking. When we called the hotel, they couldn’t verify our reservation or payment either, making the whole process an annoying hassle.

Cons: They overbooked and when arrived at 1030pm tired from our flight they sent us in a car to another hotel. It would have been forgivable had it been another 4 star or better but it wasn't. It was a dirty 3 star at best. After traveling for weeks I had been looking forward to two nights in one spot. It was a hassle to have to repack and get the car back to the Amora in the morning. They offered no refund, they claimed to have upgraded us for our second and final night but the only difference was a higher level floor. Hardly an upgrade. The management staff had no service skills. They were very unreceptive to complaints.

Cons: The pool was filthy full of dust, grit etc. In the 12 days we stayed didn't see it once get cleaned or maintained. As well as this we only once ever saw someone at the pool bar in order to get drinks. Breakfast was awful, cold and stale food and poor available choices. Stopped us from wanting to get room service or eat at the restaurant. The room was in bad condition with marks all over the walls and tables, in definite need of a renovation. The fitness center was very poor, with 1 treadmill and 1 multigym in a tiny room. Expected a 4 star hotel and was more like 2.5 star.

Cons: We had taken a 'standard room'. I cannot compare really, but I saw that most rooms had a balcony where you can sit and enjoy the sparse sun. Our room had a very small terrace that overlooked roofs only - and not the nicest ones. The room was quite cold (but the weather was cold too), and the lights were poor. Internet connection was a problem: I had to reconnect at least 4 times a day.
