The truck was clean and ready when I arrived at the Enterprise office. In fact, someone called me on my cell phone the day before confirming I was still going to go forward with the rental. The folks at the Enterprise office were polite and professional.Cons:

Less than 1/4 tank of gas in car at pick up. Enterprise employee that did the check out, did not honor my priceline reservation and said that if I declined the insurance coverage, then I lose the lower rate. When I returned the car, they fixed his error and honored my reservation.Budget

Cons:
I was notified after my designated pick up time that my rental was not available and there was nothing similar to replace it. My large group was left stranded and scrambling to make accommodations elsewhere. Our reservation was worthless and nearly ruined a family trip.Hertz

Reservation was for 12pm. Got a call at 12:02pm that the truck I had reserved had body damage and couldn't be rented. No resolution on the phone call. I arrived at the rental location around 1pm and the person at the desk explained that there were no trucks. I asked if he had tried to find one at another Hertz location and he said that last time he tried doing that for a customer he got yelled at by his manager. He eventually called his manager and got permission to call others. He tried 2 with no luck and told me that was all he could do. I will never use Hertz again.7,6 Good

i used to work as a customer service agent and the first and most thing i learnt about it was never to say ' I DO NOT KNOW TO A CUSTOMER' ...my boss always told us if you don't know you have no business working here... so I rented my car thru a third party got a good deal paid my insurance thru them so when I went to pick my car I was asked if I needed an insurance told her I paid but she told me that it doesn't show there i asked her what i should do and the answer was 'I DON'T KNOW ' so i didn't want to take the risk of driving without it and ended up paying twice went back and asked her again 'SHE DOES NOT KNOW WHAT I SHOULD DO ' will never use Hertz again2,0 Poor

i booked online a car to pick up from richardson but hertz branch in the richardson was closed when I got there. I did not get any info about working times in richardson branch before i booked. This is unprofessional and extremely rude! After half an hour talk on call I managed to get confirmation for refund. Still waiting refund...2,0 Poor

Reserved a small SUV and when we got there all they had left on the lot was ONE a compact car. We were driving 900 miles to rent a truck and ,over belongings across the country. They attempted to find us another car locally but contractually couldn't call the airport because they didn't have reciprocal agreements with them. I was able to find a replacement with my cell phone so we left without the rental and got another at the airport - from Enterprise.4,0 Mediocre

The car they provided me with had a nail in the tire. I had to stop to put air in the tire three times on my trip. When I got home the tire went completely flat.
