Tire lost pressure. Tried to say there was a superficial crack on windshield which did not happen when I was driving. Upsold on an unlimited toll fee which ended up being a complete waste of money. Will not rent from them again.

Car was clean and reasonably priced. James, the agent at the counter, went above-and-beyond to help us. Had to return to the counter to ask James how to turn off/adjust the A/C. Then, James noticed the vehicle had a nearly flat tire, so he got us another vehicle and helped move our luggage. The vehicle return was not so good. The return was handled quickly enough, but the agent did not give us a printed receipt, saying they would email us one after they checked in the vehicle. I don't think Sixt understands the function of a receipt for the customer in a transaction: It is my proof that I returned the vehicle, and I should have a receipt in my possession before I leave the car, upon returning it.

Horrible experience, they have conflicting policies that while everything was confirmed online exactly, did not match instore experience. They didn’t do one way rentals even though I confirmed one. Wasted hours of my time and forced me to scramble to find another rental. They were completely helpful

Clean car, easy return.Be aware this rental company is in business to scam you. At least this is what I experienced. The minute you check in, they will tell you the car you rented is unavailable, and try to push an expensive alternative. Don’t bother to call in a Manager, manager and worker programmed to sell you expensive alternatives.

The van was nice and the value was great. However, when we arrived for pickup, the van was not ready. We were scheduled for a 6pm pick up. We waited in line for nearly 45 min only to arrive at the ticket counter and be told the van was not ready. We immediately panicked, but the clerk assured us there was a van on the property, but it wasn’t ready for pickup just yet (and there were 2 ppl ahead of us waiting for pickup for the same van!) the Rep was helpful and we realized this wasn’t her fault. By 7:30, we finally had our van. Drop off was pretty quick. It would be nice if there were more directions listed about how to drop off a vehicle.

I deliberately reserved a small car for the parking space and the number of passengers in the backseat. Instead, they said they only had a pickup truck, which I was not only uncomfortable driving, but directly inhibited the trip as a whole. The truck itself was also given initially with a smashed headlight, but after we complained we got a different truck, this time with severely low tire pressure. Overall very negative experience.

Car was damaged, significant scratches and dents. No assistance in recording damage. Provided a carbon copy inspection sheet I completed on my own at the rental facility exit. A turn-in I was advised to take pictures "I case there is an issue."

The rep kept having trouble with the system while at the same time customers AFTER me were being waited on by other reps. I feel I should of been attended to BEFORE OTHER CUSTOMERS. I did not appreciate having to wait for the "system" to come back up while other customers just went ahead and got their vehicles. Also, the rep upgraded me to an SUV as a courtesy without asking if I would want the upgrade. I would of chosen NOT to upgrade as long as I was able to get the car in the range I had requested. The SUV was not clean and had not been washed and it smelled bad on the inside. Was not pleasant to drive in. What can be improved is CUSTOMER SERVICE should be #1 and ASK the customer to make the decision before imposing a vehicle not of their choice.

NothingAt drop off they are trying to charge me for damage when the car had the entire front bumper peeling paint and they said there is an 8 inch scratch - the checkin guy was not reasonable - we will see how the process goes

The car itself was great, the experience trying to talk to someone to get pick-up times altered when our flight got delayed was a nightmare. The 800 number charges you to speak to a person…how unfair! We will be choosing an alternate company in the future.

We booked days in advance and when we got there, the van wasn't ready. Was told it could be up to 3 hours before we had one. They put us in something else that worked. I would just think with us scheduling it the week before, that the van would've been there as the reservation was confirmed.

The car was perfect, beautiful and amazing. The staff however, with the exclusion of one single individual was nearly a crime. I would never ever rent from Hertz again, I can deal without another instance like this again. Come to think I would rather rent a sidecar to a motorcycle, strap my luggage to my torso, and hang on to dear life for an 11 1/2 hour drive than have to deal with the service I was greeted with. Hated just about everything, everyone seemed to be in agreement in line as well that the service was lacking any really meaningful employment. The woman at the front desk pissed off more people that came to her than I saw in the whole place while I was waiting. It seemed no one in line was enjoying her “holier than thou” bullshit. And had they not already spent their money I can guarantee they would have gone elsewhere, but thus this is the Limbo or Purgatory I found myself in.

The agents who assisted us were all friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. There were very few full-size cars left when we got there, so we got upgraded to a small SUV for the same price which was very nice. The car ended up being very expensive after all the taxes and fees, much more than the advertised price that we booked.

I got two cars that were malfunctioned and in the middle of a tropical storm the windshield wipers went out. To exchange the car the woman was so rude and inconsiderate I asked not to get the same damn car and she gave me the same car no customer service at all

I love the ease of renting a car online. Hertz definitely needs to improve on customer service and making sure the vehicle that are given to the customer doesn't have any issues going on with it. We had to switch vehicles 2 times. Once we arrived in Atlanta and once we arrived in Florida. It also would be nice if the customer(myself) would be informed online that there will be a deposit upon picking up the vehicle, this totally took me by suprise!

We could have been notified that we would not be able to pick up our car when we arrived. Our flight was delayed several hours and the office closed. Therefore, we were stuck at 2 am with no car.

Staff did not seem to be able to handle a line of 5 people. The process took an extremely long time. They initially did not have the type of vehicle I reserved and then offered me a lower class vehicle instead. Had to wait an extra 15 minutes for them to get the correct vehicle. It was a very poor experience.

The car was absolutely trashed. There were stains and didn’t meet COVID 19 guidelines of cleanliness. When I mentioned to their customer rep, they basically said “ok”. They now have convinced me that Turo is the way to go.

Drove out to the airport, taking 1.5 hours out of my busy day, to have the rental agent tell me they don’t even carry the van I rented and had no alternative. Very dissatisfied, plans ruined!

Definitely the worst rental car experience I’ve had. They overbook and even though I had a reservation and paid online, I was told there would be a 3 hour wait for a car because they had no cars. They were not kind nor remorseful about the situation. There was no attempt made to make the situation better. Managment and counter people were not kind, and really didn’t care about the customers who were waiting for a rental car. Poor customer service, especially if you try to call thrifty themselves. Would avoid thrifty/dollar rental car/hertz at all costs.

I was told when I arrived to pick up my car that they were out of cars. They didn’t have any cars to provide and had no time frame for when a car would be available. I had a reservation for a car at 11 but didn’t receive my car until after 5pm.

Customer service could have been better. Also, general information on returning the vehicle wasn't included in any conversation, but was a hand-written note separate from the other forms. A simple conversation would have been extremely effective (Like.. "you don't return the car here, you have to return it to a completely different and not super close facility.").

The service and car were wonderful. The only criticism is the insurance policies. My personal insurance will cover everything but loss of use. In order to get that coverage I needed to buy the most expensive coverage; that is, the full coverage. I think that this tactic for getting customers to buy full coverage is awful.

"Compact" doesn't or perhaps shouldn't mean sacrificing expenses on specific car items. For example, when my sister pulled down the passenger visor to fix herself, there was NO MIRROR! Crust!! Although this car got me where it needed me to get to--thank you!--it just seemed like a REALLY laughable car (on your part) that would WANT to force me to upgrade. Kudos (and smart on your part) to you if you intended for that! I had to choose this last minute car. That I got a card, I was happy. The price, however, was a heavy pill I HAD to swallow.

I arrived at the car rental center at the DFW airport. Many vendors sold out of cars upon walk up, including Alamo. Got online and checked your website. Found out Alamo had cars. Made reservation. Went to desk and asked why they did not offer any earlier and why the price had jumped significantly. Gauging at its best! I needed a car immediately. After a 30 min wait while the attendant went into the back room to “talk to his boss” he came back with a over priced economy car. Paid and left.

Alamo engages in shady business tacticsCar was clean and in good condition.Alamo refused to honor the terms of the contract that we initially established with them and for which they accepted payment (i.e. Fraud) because the reservation primary driver was not the person that paid the prepaid amount (despite that person being present, with ID and credit card used, at the time of pickup). They proceeded to establish a new reservation at a higher rate, refusing to honor the original rate (i.e. Bait & Switch) of the reservation. It took a significant amount of time with multiple customer service agents at both check-in and check-out to get them to abide by the original terms of the agreement. Very questionable business practices, I have to wonder how many other people who were not willing to go through the hassle of dealing with their byzantine customer service system have been overcharged because of this.

Great customer service!I had accidentally put in the wrong days to pick up my rental so there was just a little bit of an up charge. However since it took awhile to figure out why the was an up charge they have me a free upgrade in vehicle. They were super helpful and nice. Completely willing to help me out!

Customer Service at pick up tried every trick to upsell me including blatantly lying. Made re-book twice online or face paying in additional $70. Then he dropped it to $50, then $20. Then finally honoured my agreed upon price. Pick up could have been 5 minutes. Enterprise upsell tactics turned pick up into 45 minutes and me being late to an event.

Did not take possession of the rental. Rented from Advantage on site.Nothing.Long line. Rental price quickly doubled over agreed upon rate. Customer service reps had a terrible attitude so I went to Advantage and rented a car for half the rate of Enterprise.

Staff was friendly and the vehicle ran well.Be prepared for a $250 security deposit, which MUST be on the same card as the rental amount. This definitely threw a bit of a wrench into our plans, but luckily we were able to make it work.

My flight was delayed. When I arrived there was no one at the counter as it was closed. Had to stay the night near the airport and get the car the next day. Was still charged for the day I did not have it on top of having to pay for a hotel.

At first they weren’t going to lease us the car because they said we had no flight at the airport. Then They gave us a huge hassle about the credit card and the drivers and tacked on so many fees. By the time we were done we had no choice but to pay double what we had booked for.

Toll hostage scam in TexasCar was nice and published price was low. Rental office was in the DFW airport.10 day rental and they tell me Texas tolls are unavoidable and impossible to pay while driving. So they offer/charge me $100 for a toll-pass so I won't have to pay countless $25 fines to EZ car for each $1 toll road I take. I'm upset with Texas and with EZ car rental for such a shady situation. I declined the $100 charge and am holding my breath for random charges.

We waited over an hour for our car at DFW. There were forty people ahead of us in line when we got there, and only 2-3 agents to help everyone. It was the most painful experience of our trip.

They gave me a car with 34,000 miles on it and it was so old it didn’t have CarPlay. Ruined the trip. I haven’t rented a car without CarPlay in five years. I will never be using Avis or KAYAK to book AVIS ever again! Back to Hertz Gold plus member and booking straight through their website no matter what the price!

long line at pickup, long wait. dropoff was SUPER easy and excellent.The car was smoked in. HEAVILY. It was too late at night to deal with but had to wash all my clothes immediately on arriving destination. rental employees should be charging HIGH penalties for smokers. I had to take a shower and the smell was still stuck in my nose for a long time.

Placed a reservation online but when I called for a pick up at the airport I was met with a less than friendly clerk and was placed on hold for 20 minutes. After being placed on hold a third time because they could not find my reservation I just gave up.

The name. There was alot of confusion from my managers whether i had rented an “airport van”. “We’re going to pick up an airport van” “ whats the name of the place?” “Airport Van” Excellent service though!!!

Yes the staff was friendly. The off airport rental was not fun. We were dropped off at the rental place and they picked us up from the rental place. On our way back We had to uber from their facility.If we knew it was off airport then we wouldnt go with them.

We could never get ahold of the company to get our rental. We would like a refund. No where was it mentioned that the company was closed on Sunday and that there would be no way to get ahold of them.Letting the renters know when the company is closed and when it would days would be best to rent.

This rental company is off, off, off the DFW terminal property. Getting to their location was a complete mystery. The number to call for shuttle service did not work. I was never able to contact a live person, so I had to walk-up to the Budget counter at the real rental car center at DFW - and got the most amazing van on the spot for an incredible price. Don’t go off-brand, even if you need a van.

Staff was nice. The van was pretty beat up. Took as long to note all the damage is it did to check out.Better disclosure on the van or vehicle conditions in advance.

Staff friendly when I got there.Notify people insurance companies treat as commercial vehicle and most wont cover. Be prepared to pay the additional cost for insurance.
