Cons: The reservation I made was not recognized when I landed - I sat there for 30 mintutes as they tried to figure it out but eventually had to rent a second car. Upon my return I spent another 20 min rectifying the billing

Easy Pick-up and Drop-off
Pros: Friendly counter staff, and easy pick-up. We liked the unlimited miles as we were going to be driving over 2,000 miles. It was a Toyota Corolla and we ended up getting about 36-37 miles per gallon.

Cons: First car I was given had not been cleaned well and smelled like cigarette smoke. The second car I was given was i, pristine condition.
Cons: Car had a couple of large stains on carpet. It is a shame people don't take care of vehicles even if they don't belong to them. I treat a rental just like my own

Cons: I asked for a rental car at an airport but when we arrived, we found the car was at a location nowhere near the airport. Why should that happen?

No cruise control - disappointed.
Pros: Nice color and roomy for our needs. Drives smooth.
Cons: It did not have cruise control so it was pain driving it especially when you have to drive 5 hours in distance with your foot always on the pedal.

Cons: Everything. They did not have cars available and clerk was extremely unhelpful and rude once he saw where I booked the car and the Kayak rate. Ended up renting from Hertz a couple booths down the hall. They were much better.

Iowa City Airport Enterprise is Awesome
Pros: This is the 3rd year I've rented a car from Iowa Enterprise. They are the kindest, most helpful car rental in an airport ever. And I've rented cars 6x Year for over 20 years. Just real, geniune down to earth people. Cars are car's, but truly caring people are hard to come by.

Pros: Everything was quick and easy.
Cons: He should have rented a larger vehicle, our fault.
Pros: The vehicle we received was clean and ready to go at the appointed time. Gas mileage was much better than our own vehicles.
Cons: A couple of features were not on the vehicle that we are used to, such as backup camera. Possibly if we would have requested a higher priced vehicle it would have been included?

Easy-peasy car rental
Pros: Super fast pick up and very simple drop-off. Car immaculately clean, in great condition, with full tank. Pleasant staff. I was able to make sure I received a car that fit me (I am a small person and not all drivers' seats work for me, even among compact sedans).

Pros: The pick up was not easy, I had to move my trip a day later because there weren't any cars available. When I arrived, the lady had the wrong reservation and I think this because the series of issues that i had.
Cons: I waited so long at pick up for the lady to find and clarify my reservation. The rental car was fine. Then when I returned the car the charge was over $100 more.
The I wish I was charged the rate service, she not could not help me!!
Cons: The car was relatively new and was supposed to be a non smoking vehicle. You couldn't smell it as much when the car was cold, but as it warmed up inside, the smell got stronger and by the time we realized how bad it was, it would have been very difficult to go back and change.
Also, the Bluetooth connections didn't work. We guessed that they had been disabled and perhaps we were supposed to pay for an upgrade to get it to work but if that was the case, it was not made clear.

Stayed open late
Pros: Our flight was delayed and the rental desk stayed open late so those that had rentals could get their cars. I realize this is usually standard practice but I really appreciated it.

Cons: We were taking a car one way, plans changed and I was told that if we returned the car to it pick-up location that it would be cheaper. Nope, still over $800.00....never use avis again.

Pros: The ladies at check-in couldn’t have been any nicer.
Cons: It would have been nice to have someone in the lot assisting upon return to the airport.
Pros: Moved my fiancé from Iowa to Boston. We got a brand-new Dodge Caravan with fold-flat seats, SiriusXM radio, and the flex-fuel capability which was a major money-saver. Was as smooth as you'd expect of a car under 15k miles.
Cons: The van had a lot of someone else's trash inside when I picked it up. I spent a half-hour cleaning it out after picking it up. There were chip bags, pop bottles, grease streaks, and a persistient stickiness to the steering wheel that required dish soap to remove. I suppose this is the price paid for a low rate.

Cons: I called to inquire as to what I should do if I could not make it to the scheduled return time for my rental. The woman, who spoke poor English, took it upon herself to charge my card for an additional day without my permission. This caused my acct to be overdrawn. When I tried to explain this she repeatedly told me she did not charge my card however I called my bank and they confirmed the charge. When I called Alamo back they said there was nothing they could do but refund my money which would take 3-7days and they had nothing to say about the overdraft fee. All this for what was just supposed to be an inquiry.
