5,4 Okay
Pros: The B&B is very centrally located. That is all the positive thing I can say about it.
Cons: 1. The owner changed the address of the facility but never informed us. It took us (both sixty plus) almost two hours with two large suitcases to find the B&B facility. The actual B&B where he made us stay was named differently (B&B Catania Etna) and was located at a different address (via Etnea, 198) than the address provided through 'booking.com'. A photo of the property front is attached here. 2. The owner does not accept any credit cards for payments. 3. The room was stuffy and the a/c didn't work properly.
7,9 Good
Pros: Clean and central
10,0 Excellent
Pros: This b&b is simply amazing...location is fabulous, right in the heart of via Etnea. Staff offer a great service and the rooms are super clean..definately recommended. Tasha, Malta.

Pros: The location it was perfect and reachable for shopping and restaurants even for the public transport.but from the booking.com the hotel address is writen 290 via etnea but they told us that 3 years ago moved to same street but the nbr was 196.so if you please arrange it .I,m very satisfied for my staying in b&b massimo
9,2 Excellent

8,8 Excellent
Pros: Nice staff, breakfast was okay, nice room and view.
Cons: Wrong adress on the booking so we had problems with finding the b&b.
7,9 Good
Pros: Very quiet room tucked off the busy street. Hosts were excellent when flight was severely delayed and waited up until very late at night for our check in. Spacious and comfortable room.
Cons: Bathroom was a little bit dirty/mouldy. Bath/shower didn't drain very well.
7,5 Good
Pros: You get good value for money. The room is very small. There is no coffee corner. Breakfast at a nearby coffee shop, coffe and croissant only. Excellent location. Small room.

5,0 Okay
Cons: My wife and I arrived with my boy as 3rd person. They charged me extra 20 euros but could not add extra bed. We left early so we didn’t have breakfast also. So for that extra charge we got nothing. In all other hotels we stayed in Italy we were charged but we got extra bed. To make things worse the two beds in the room are the narrowest in my 10 day stays in Italy. I had the worst sleeping during my stay with my wife on one small bed.
10,0 Excellent

8,8 Excellent

Pros: Extremely central location vlose to many restaurants and bars and just outside of the main square.
Cons: The room was so hot we couldn't sleep. The AC in the room was set up to 16 degrees throught the whole night but it felt like there was no cooling at all and we could barely sleep due to the heat.

Pros: The friendliness of the host. Carmelo was very welcoming.
10,0 Excellent
Cons: The breakfast could be better.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Great location. Lovely room in an old Palacio but with modern facilities. For breakfast you get a voucher to use in a v nice cafe 50 meters away. . Coffee, juice, brioche.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Very central location, near all of the main attractions. Anyone good on their feet can easily travel about Catania from this location. If you have a car Carmelo is excellent at helping you find a location to park. Carmelo gave out his personal contact information so that you could reach him for help at any time.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Located a block away from the University square!! Book this B&B and you will not be disappointed!!! Our group stayed in 3 of the four rooms available. Each room can comfortably fit 5 people and maybe 6 if one person uses the foldable cot. The rooms are like a “loft style”. If you have small children just make sure they don’t climb the stairs to the upper part of your room. Bathroom is clean. There is a refrigerator but make sure it’s plugged in as they don’t plug it in 24/7 to save energy. Check in was easy even if we arrived in the evening. Beds are firm but still comfortable. Parking is on the street - we had problems with this but our host accommodated to help us! Food options and restaurants are just a few steps away. Fun fact: Bellini, the music composer, worked in this building!!! Our host told us this fact... Very cool!
Cons: There’s no elevator so if you have big luggages, you’d have to bring it up 3 flights of stairs.. the B&B is located on the 2nd floor.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location, great communication with Carmelo, room was in nice sicilian style :)
Cons: Although double window, I heard noises from a bar, which is located very close.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Carmelo greeted us and helped carry our suitcases up the stairs. It is on the 2nd floor. He was so lovely and welcoming. I stayed with my husband and 6 year old son and we felt the room was big enough. It had double windows that block out any street noise. It is in the best location with everything right outside your door. The room was so clean! It was absolutely spotless. I was so impressed because I am O.C.D! Not a spec of dust to be seen. Breakfast was good. Got a pastry, juice and coffee per person and it is at a cafe just down stairs in the square. Would highly recommend and if we are ever in Catania again we will be back for sure!! Thank you Carmelo
Cons: Nothing
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The Hotel is in the ideal spot exactly in the heart of Catania; very close to all shops and amenities. The host Carmelo was very nice, available at all times and very efficient. Room was clean and tidy with daily cleaning routines. Christian was very gentle and assisted us when we needed. Thank you. Keep up the good work.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: All very comfortable, lovely staff, super clean and excellent beds
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Room was amazing, clean and the entire setup with the common area and the kitchen was lovely. We had a little mishap when the water was shut off all night due to technical issues but given the immediate response and apologies from everyone, I cannot put this down as a negative. It happens.
Cons: Stairs, stairs everywhere. It's not just this B&B, you need to be aware that in historic city centers, the buildings are very very old and without elevators. If you have problems climbing up stairs, then you need to ask before booking.
6,7 Good
Pros: Breakfast was okay and the staff was very helpfull. But a little bit less enthousiast would be nice. They kept talking in the morning while we wanted have breakfast quietly.
Cons: The beds are not very good: one was to hard en the twinbed was to old: my husband has pain in his back as result of this bed.

Pros: Excellent location above all and very close to a guarded parking lot with very reasonable prices. There is a shared kitchen all tenants can use that is equiped with everythind one might need.
Cons: The room was clean, but not the cleanest you can get. Not to the point that bothers you, but to the point you notice.
7,5 Good
Pros: Location is very central. The bathroom is big. In the breakfast you can choose one very delicious pastry and a hot drink, but for us it was enough, because the pastry was big and full of stuffing.
Cons: The air conditioner was loud. After we checked out of the b&b the host asked us to rate them with 10.
6,3 Good
Pros: Location was perfect, the room was ok and ac worked perfectly.
Cons: Towels not changed, not cleaned, wifi not working
7,5 Good
Pros: if you want to be in the centre of town this is the place to be. Very close to restaurants bars and shops. There is a small shared kitchen where you can cook a meal or make coffee.
Cons: Parking on the street is a crime. You can park your car a five minutes walk from the appartment. This is a secured parking.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Great location. It was really helpful to simply have own key for entry and exit when you like. Rooms were spacious and with quiet air conditioning so you could leave it on at night and still sleep easily.
Cons: We didn’t use the shared kitchen space.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: In the center of Catania, spacious room with good facilities. Nice staff.
Cons: Nothing, good quality/price
7,1 Good
Pros: very good location.
Cons: i had asked in advance if it was a problem when we arrive at 1am because our plane arrived late and was told it was no problem. when we arrived we were asked to pay 14€ "city tax" by the receptionist. we saw online that city tax was only 1 to 1,50€ per person, so we didn't want to pay it, because we weren't told about that in advance. the receptionist was very insistant and then called someone (the owner?) because his english was better, who said the 10 euro were an extra fee for our late check in and only the 4 euro was city tax. but that there was a problem with the water so we could talk about that in the morning. in the morning someone had texted me on whatsapp if everything was ok. at the reception they again wanted the money from us and then we again talked on the phone and were told we only had to pay the 4 euro because of the problem with the water (that was leeking out of underneath the shower). after we had left he asked me to leave a 10 point review here, which unfortunatly i cannot. long story short: if you charge for late check in, please put that on your website + inform your guests about it before they arrive, espically if they ask you if a late arrival is a problem.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: the staff messaged me everyday to see if everything is oki
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Location, kind host, cleanliness
Cons: Noise from the street

Featured amenities include a business center, express check-in, and express check-out. A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge during limited hours, and self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
7,9 Good
Pros: Lovely building, Good size room, stored our luggage, comfy bed, handy for bus and rail. Good cappuccino if you ask for it at breakfast. Reasonable choice of food, some good some bad. Although no drinks in the fridge other than water, there is a reasonably priced vending machine near the breakfast room.
Cons: The air conditioning wasn't on in our room, and it was impossible to find any instructions or work out how to use it. They turned it on at reception for us, but then I didn't dare adjust it! Not the normal remote control system. Poor juice at breakfast and the coffee from the urn was undrinkable (but cappuccino good). Not a very pleasant walk to the Old Town, (but if coming by rail you would have to go that way anyway if you were staying elsewhere)
8,3 Excellent
Pros: The staff at the hotel made up for any negatives. Both reception staff where incredibly helpful. Riccardo made sure we got everywhere we want to go safely. You both do your hotel proud. Hotel located close to train and bus station.
Cons: You had to walk quite a while to get to the shops and restaurants. Unfortunately the walk included going into not no nice roads. Catania itself is full off graffiti and nor at all clean.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic hotel, something special. Wonderful outdoor dining-room, nice personell. Good location, close to train, bus and metro. Walking distanse to old town.
7,9 Good
Pros: Furniture needs replaced. New wall paper would be nice.

Pros: All staff were exceptionally friendly & polite, breakfast was excellent and staff went to great lengths to make our stay enjoyable. Thanks
Cons: Nothing
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Hotel was very nice, with an eclectic interior decorative scheme that was quite interesting. The staff was also very nice and professional. The breakfast was also quite good, in a beautiful interior courtyard.
Cons: The hotel location was not optimal, being a ways away from the historic city center, and not located in the best of neighborhoods. Restaurant selection in the immediate area was OK, but not great. The shuttle to and from the airport was a commercial cab, and quite expensive.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location near central station with 24 hour reception and friendly staff. This is ideal for making day trips to other towns.
Cons: Dated hotel but it is simple and comfortable
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Staff, Courtyard, Breakfast Area, location to Airport.
Cons: Hallways and rooms need up dating, bathroom was fine.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was really excellent. The staff very nice.
Cons: Few parking chances nearby. If you go there by car, you need to book the park at the hotel - a small garage around 100 meters far from the hotel, not very comfortable and also quite expensive (10 euro/night)

Appreciated our room because it was spacious and had everything we needed, including ac and a small balcony. 7,9 Good

Pros: Excellent location for old centre, bright, large and comfortable. Host was welcoming and friendly without being intrusive. Great amount of space, quiet despite location near a bar - I slept so well
Cons: Everything was great and better than expected
10,0 Excellent
Pros: If you want smooth grey & white & a feeling you could be anywhere in the world, this is not for you. Lorenza welcomed us with a smile into her fascinating house (a former silk factory). Hand-painted furniture, old cinema posters (from her grandfather‘s cinema at the foot of mount Etna), a lava sink .... a home full of love. Comfortable bed, good breakfast, great location with quirky bars & cool jazz. We won‘t forget this place.
7,5 Good
Pros: Location was very central and convenient to all attractions, restaurants, street markets.
Cons: We knew that the bathroom was separate to the room when we booked the B&B but found having to walk through the dinning / kitchen area to access the bathroom was awkward at times.

7,0 Good
Pros: We stayed at this hotel on our last night in Sicily, and were looking for a hotel with a central location that would be easy to get to the airport. The accommodations were clean and adequate for our stay-we did not get to try breakfast or explore the area due to our late arrival and early departure but it certainly seemed centrally located. We needed a taxi for a 6AM flight and the front desk staff did not hesitate on this, he seamlessly arranged a taxi who was ready waiting in the lobby of the hotel when we checked out early in the morning. Thanks so much!
Cons: It was challenging to find the hotel and parking area due to a street festival going on and the street was actually closed, but the front desk staff came out and guided us to the right place.
7,5 Good
Pros: Good location. Great breakfast. Friendly staff
Cons: Property tired.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Close to the centre of Catania, bars and restaurants.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: The room was beautiful, and clean. Great breakfast. Nice location
Cons: None :)
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Good breakfast. Location.
Cons: Shower small but it seems it is that way all over Italy.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Our room was lovely with a beautifully decorated high ceiling. It was spacious and comfortable as was the bed. They have a wonderful breakfast and indoor breakfast area and a rooftop patio. I loved that they have a barrista who prepares the espresso and cappuccino. But we were particularly impressed with the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff, especially when one of the tours we had booked fell through.
Cons: The only relatively minor suggestion I would make is that they upgrade the carpeting. It seemed a bit worn to me.
5,0 Okay
Pros: Staff were very good
Cons: Small room. Nothing as depicted on booking.com The photo shown has nothing to do with the actual hotel. A total con. I was so disappointed when I arrived at front door.
9,6 Excellent

Pros: The staff were very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was generous with a lot of choice. The location is excellent
Cons: The bed was very hard and the carpets seemed a bit grubby. Tea and coffee in the room would have been nice too.

Pros: I can`t tell a lot, because I was in the Hotel only one night. The place isn`t a city centre, but it`s take about 10 min by foot.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Great breakfast Walking distances Size & cleanliness of room Welcoming staff
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly staff, breakfast very good for the price.
Cons: A bit noisy (AC, people walking outside on the floor, the/my room/s seem to be not very well isolated).
6,3 Good
Pros: Good breakfast
Cons: The area and we thought they had parking which they did not
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Large and comfortable room. Good central location, 10 minutes walk from a large selection of bars and restaurants. Car parking easier than we expected. Very helpful staff
Cons: Flimsy plastic foam cups unsuitable for hot drinks - an economy too far! A bit tight with the tea and coffee - but at least had a kettle!
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Excellent breakfast, friendly staff and a decent location. Both the reception desk staff and the kitchen staff were very helpful and courteous, helped us find activities to do in our last day /and recommended the perfect place to dine near the hotel/ in Catania and were generally great. The room was quite spacious, very clean and with excellent amenities. Plus, it was a pleasant surprise that one of the receptionist spoke fluent Bulgarian.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: close to downtown and close to airport - but close in Catania, does not mean easy: they tried to have signs, but the lacy of streets, there, is difficult to navigate (driving!) : but they did their best.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Great value and great staff Breakfast was excellent and only €3 ! And they gave us a late check out for free !
Cons: Not much around close by
6,3 Good
Pros: Good size room with spacious bathroom. Parking is secured and valet but have to pay €9 per night (book in advance). Hotel is near the city centre so that is probably ok instead of parking on the street. Breakfast is only €3 per person per day but could offer better quality or variety. Coffee was free during breakfast and good!
Cons: 1.) Fix your internet. It was barely working. Bad bad bad. It is 2019! Fast internet is essential. It will also help not having 10 different names for your Wi-Fi per floor. Get your IT guy to fix this 2.) Hotel is far from city centre. Probably 10-15 min walk. It is UPHILL back to the hotel from centre. Dark streets between hotel and centre at night 3.) Shower on bath tub with only a small glass pane. Bathroom floor will be wet after you shower
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Bed very comfy. Great value breakfast
Cons: Polystyrene cups for tea . Not enough milk for tea

Cons: The street seems a little bit dodgy at night.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Our stay was very good, as always, we were there for the third time. The owner is very nice and helpful. Breakfast is very big and tasty, as always. At first glance, the district looks "uninteresting", but it's safe. The object is located close to the city center and train station. Next to it is a small grocery store open to 1am. There are very good restaurants within 3-5 minutes walk. If we back to Catania we will back to Solsicily :)

Pros: Breakfast very good, open terasse with sea view, good selection
Cons: The bar is small and not fully open during the evenings
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Property is perfect for beach. There may be no private beach for the hotel, but there are several close by, which are very accessible. There are also several restaurants near by and a supermarket which is super great! The stuff were very welcoming, helping and friendly!
Cons: The public transport was quite far and the buses weren’t very often, so you need to walk quite a lot.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Great location, has changed my mind of Catania, great bars and restaurants. great walks and sight seeing.
Cons: The swimming locations for beach access had closed even thought is what 30 C.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Staff were really friendly and helpful
7,1 Good
Pros: Nice hotel but a bit outdated in terms of rooms and facilities (eg shower). Room large enough to accommodate a family of four (incl two small children). Good breakfast, although at a certain moments the staff was not sufficient, nor the tables for the number of guests arriving. AC not working in the room during first night but after request support, staff was really helpful and fixed it!
Cons: A bit outdated facilities.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Everything else.
Cons: There was not such a good variety of fruits and vegetables, comparatively to desserts, and it's a pity. Butter and cheese were placed near hot dishes, and consequently they were warm and not tasty for me.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice and clean hotel close to everything. Recommend.

Cons: Twin beds not double even though requested x 2 Piano bar - no piano. Bar not staffed. Always had to request service. Location not as clos to centre as led to believe. Cost of parking at hotel not made clear. Limited breakfast choice , plus disposable cups for coffee. Unpleasant.

9,2 Excellent
Pros: Location. Nicely furnished and modern.
Cons: With the slight option of salads and sandwiches no restaurant for full fledged lunch or dinner. Bedroom had no comfortable seating.
9,1 Excellent
Pros: The hotel looks very new, nice lobby and remodeled rooms and bathrooms. The room was very small, the location was great, as long as you walk left when you get out of the hotel (if you go right you'll find lots of hookers, waiting, sitting on plastic chairs, i'm not joking). Great restaurants within 1 block, friendly staff.
6,7 Good
Pros: Staff was the best. Very friendly and helpful, always smiling
Cons: Fitness centre was just a fake. No air condition and threadmill did not work The terrace was a mess, could make more out of it Air condition lived its own life, cold in the mornings even though I turned it off at night Balcony is a joke Ear plugs saved my sleep, city is not quiet at night
8,3 Excellent
Pros: The staff is amazing!! So friendly, professional and accomodating (Stefania especially went out of her way to better our stay). When we asked to switch to a better room, they agreed immediatly. The rooms are extremely comfortable. The breakfast is made with fresh and good quality goods. The hotel is in walking distance from the center, the shopping streets, the nightlife and some very good restaurants! Also, note for those of you that arrive with a car that it is cheaper to park on the street in front of the hotel than in on of the parking lots nearby (You need to pay in a parking meter)
Cons: The rooms are smaller than advertised. Although the rooms are clean, when my shoes went under the bed we found out that they do not clean there. Although the breakfast is very good and made with fresh ingredients, the assortment of foods available is quite small for a 4-star hotel. The hotel is situated and a street that may be to frightening at night, especially for women traveling alone.
7,5 Good
Pros: Nice modern hotel in the centre. Super rooms, wonderful breakfast, nonstop reception.
Cons: I miss the airing in the bathroom.
5,0 Okay

4,5 Okay
Pros: The location is central to many spots in Catania and the rooms are adequate for the price. Internet was free but, not unlimited as a key had to be obtained every other day.
Cons: Staff does not speak English and did not go out of their way to make any accommodations, communication overall was poor and there were last minute shuffling of rooms which, was annoying. 6,3 Good
Pros: The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location is perfect. Right beside the fish market.
Cons: Our room smelled very strongly of cigarettes and needed to be repainted. One lamp didn't work. We were only given two pillows. The towels smelled damp and the hot water on the shower kept turning on and off.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Had a lovely fresh croissant with coffee in the main square, only 2 minutes walk from the accommodation, all organised by the owner.
Cons: Everything was super! Great location, very accommodating host, and our apartment was spacious, with a terrace overlooking Mount Etna. Would definitely stay here again.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was great!
Cons: Nothing!
6,7 Good
Pros: Right next to the fish market and Catania center, but we only use this as transfer which is not very convenient, it’s about 15min walk to the bus/train terminals also not easy to get the Alibus in Piazza Paolo Borsellino so we have to chose taxi(20euro).Breakfast is right in the Piazza but unfortunately we had a flight to catch:(
Cons: no lift so you need to carry luggage to the 3rd floor, more stairs inside the B&B, but those ones the host Alessandro helped us.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Close to: market with large choice of bars and restaurants; city centre; bus station, including Alibus to airport
Cons: Sloping ceiling of room: slightly too low for comfort
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Great location near the Duomo and Fish market 10 minute dawdle from Alibus stop Like the design elements Great shower Really like the provision of coffee/Tea facilities and honesty box for cold drinks at fair price
Cons: Nothing bad
7,5 Good
Pros: Location very good.
Cons: Wifi didn’t work. Building looks a bit worn down.
7,9 Good
Pros: Quirky hotel. Very good value for money. Alessandro and staff are very pleasant, and available for any problems.
Cons: Light switch from stairs to common courtyard and exit to street was broken. Very dark at night. Had to grasp on to the handrail to find your way out. Hotel is not in the most desirable area, but you are literally 100 metres from entrance to the main tourist areas of Catania, so not a problem in reality
10,0 Excellent
Pros: A hospitable secure welcoming stay in a classic European B&B that was so enjoyable, added amenities such as access to an espresso machine, refrigerator, laundry, hair dryer, down comforter, ironed pillow cases, guest toiletries with modern decorated plumbing fixtures in a perfect location; a quick walk to the Piazza Duomo, alongside the famous fish market, offering 'street food' fresh vegetables, fruits, deli cheeses, meats, local baked goodies. Piazza offered fine and casual dining, shopping and tours. Alessandro was very kind and helpful answering questions. As a 76 year old senior woman, I feel very pleased that I chose B&BDesign.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly owner Great location near fish market 5/10 min walk from Alibus (airport bus) stop Free coffee and tea making facilities in reception and an honesty fridge for cold drinks great idea

Pros: Charming, cozy hotel in the heart of Catania. Hotel staff super nice and helpful, room was clean, well-equipped and stylish, a wide variety of food for breakfast. The atmosphere of both hotel and the surrounding area is bohemian in the best sense of the word... Do not miss :)
6,3 Good
Pros: Good central location.
Cons: Breakfast is a dreary, unappetising affair, with a manky fridge containing yogurt and cheese and sausage of indeterminate age. No fresh fruit despite being within stone' s throw of the market. The cellophane wrapped pastries (?) and cerials look like they've been around for some time. No-one around till 09:30 to help with coffee or anything else. Definitely will not go back.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: I stayed in this amazing B&B and I loved every moment. All the rooms are different, well decorated and the bed is comfortable, with private bathrooms. The room and the kitchen was extremely clean The location is great to discover best city’s attractions within walking distance, in the historic center of Catania. The atmosphere which is created by the owner Daniele is amazing. Ever since booking,I was very impressed with the service that he provided throughout. He was friendly and helpful. He does everything to make your stay comfortable, giving tips to discover the best of Catania. The breakfast has lots of varieties and very satisfying. Thanks to you Daniele and your nice mum❤️for a wonderful time. Reyhan
6,7 Good
Pros: A short walk from the historic center. If you arrive at the right time, parking is easy to find.
Cons: It's not really the nicest part of town and there's a somewhat loud bar down the road,
2,9 Mediocre
Pros: Terrible breakfast. Fruit and coffee and a sweet roll.
Cons: Next to a bar that is opened till 3 am. People gathering and talking all night under our window. We had arranged for a driver to take us to taormina and we didn't find out he wouldn't do it till last minute. They called another driver who was excellent. Got us to Taormina safely.
5,0 Okay
Pros: The property was affordable for being in central location and plenty of street parking around. Ok for one night stay
Cons: Guilia, the staff works there was awful! She told us she will be available at the desk for check in between 9-2:30 and 5:30-8 pm window. We got notified that in the same morning and we ended up waiting for an hour in front of the place with all the luggages. All the check in process happened for her favor, not for customers. There’s so many spiral steps to the room and shower got weird smells. But these were more tolerable than her laziness.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Just a great place, at a great location, actually easy to find. Even though I did not meet the staff (late check in and early check out) the communication by email was super fast and friendly. So even without having met the staff, I felt very welcomed.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The receptionist, Alice, is the best. She speaks good english and will put a lot of effort into making everything perfect for guests and is genuinely nice person
Cons: Near the hostel is one of the coolest pubs in Catania. However, if you prefer to sleep early, and have trouble falling asleep with a bit of noise, it can get hard to fall asleep.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Location and staff
8,3 Excellent
Pros: The problem with the broken shower was fixed very fast. We were able to shower in another room that day. Very adequate solution.
Cons: The shower was a bit old and broke during our stay.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: Through out my stay smiley, helpful and warm Catalonian staff greeted, and assisted me. Nothing was too much for them. My room offered a glorious view of this gem of a historic city. Through the open window I gazed out to inhale the soft sweet air of a city where so many millions wandered down the city streets steeped in a rich history. My bathroom was spacious, and I loved the floor to ceiling marble. For two days I felt the long distant relative of an emperor. Supper I enjoyed in the el fresco courtyard. How divine was that. A tasty menu under stars and sultry warm air. I enjoyed a dreamy stay at Katane Palace Hotel where the ancient ghosts from yesterday still live on and on.
Cons: Nothing. It was five star elegance.
9,1 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was very good. Hotel premises and facilities are outstanding.
Cons: Only not so positive aspect was distance of hotel to places of interest, and difficult parking.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Helpful, friendly staff. Lovely hotel with a lot of character and charm.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: The croissants were great and on the whole the breakfast was varied and catered for all tastes
Cons: Being British we thought the tea drinkers were not catered for: For example there was never any English breakfast tea available nor large cups available (there were only 2 mugs!!!)
4,2 Okay
Pros: Location is fine; short walk to town Firm mattress
Cons: All but one staff were unfriendly to rude Rooms are bare essentials Old worn out feel to whole hotel Shower changed pressure and temperature repeatedly during use; complained to front desk - didn’t care. Never got back to us Can’t get coffee or tea if not during meal windows Uncomfortable sheets No tissues in bath TP rough
8,3 Excellent
Pros: The location of the hotel is quite convenient. The city center, train and bus stations are nearby.
Cons: It is rather noisy because of high audibility. You can hear conversations in the corridor and slamming doors. Poor breakfast.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: The location of hotel is very good. The staff of hotel is very cooperative. The breakfast is very good there.
8,3 Excellent
Cons: Bardzo twarde materace na łóżkach . Very hard mattresses on the beds .
5,8 Okay
Cons: A neglected depressing hotel
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Big Room, quiet (side lane), all you need for 2 days. Breakfast is a bit basic - though they had lactose free milk. But I am not there to stuff myself with breakfast specialities. Plus italy is not a breakfast country. (Croissant, Cafe is enough)
Cons: The area is a bit awkward. When leaving the hotel, the consierge advised us to walk on the main road. There are more cars. Areas in Katania often look very run down. So this lane was average. And maybe Katania as such is not such a safe place. Although, I had no personal bad experience, even when inadvertidly walking though a really poor area on the way to the bus. Overall the city is really poor, dirty and feels mismanaged (for a middle European). If one stay on the beaten tourist paths, though, you get the show that you pay for. The main streets in the center are clean, the houses facades are renovated. Inside some of them still crumble (e.g. a previous cloisture, now the state archive, with electrical cables outside the historic walls in the patio and old archive papers, obviously rotting in the light behind the window.)
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The Breakfast room and food are both top-notch. Lots of choices of breads, fruits, meats, cheeses and sparkling wine. It is all offered in an elegant old-world style dining room.
Cons: Everything was nice and better than we expected.
8,5 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was very good. The staff were very obliging and kind to us when we arrived very late due to a delayed flight. They directed us to park our hire car and took good care of watching it.
Cons: Nothing to complain about

Pros: A nice selection for breakfast, after watching the sun come up over the city - 50:50 chance of seeing it depending on whether you have an east or west facing room.
Cons: Litter, including a tampon (unused) in the flower pots at the front door of the hotel. Door for shower hits the toilet and doesn’t open fully.

8,8 Excellent
Pros: The wifi, the breakfast were very good.
Cons: It is a 20 minutes walk from the main square and 10minutes to a street full of of restaurants.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Good hotel, as normal NH brand. Rooms was good and comfortable. Outside of city centre, it’s a 15 minute walk so not too bad, but there’s plenty of other hotels closer if you’d rather. Easy street parking in front of the hotel for about €0.87 per hour. You can also take the 534 bus from the stop in front of the hotel (Trento) to the city centre, just behind the Cathedral, Piazza Borsellino. Make sure you buy your tickets first though. Of Sicily, we liked Catania the least. Quite a dirty city all in all. The Piazza del duomo and the main Etna street are nice, but otherwise not much. We were upsold at C/I to breakfast at €10, very decent price for the great choice it had.
Cons: A/C in the room was very tricky to control. Either it freezes you in a few minutes or it doesn’t work... Old system
6,7 Good
Pros: location staff
Cons: room booked not real room - twin bed booked and single bed received they ask to pay 2,5 euro City tax but it was included in my reservation quite cold în the room and I cannot set temperature...simple sistem but maybe not functional for heating
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Rooms, Beds, staff & all
Cons: Didn't try the breakfast option out so can't really comment on that
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were helpful and professionals. Check in and check out was very fast even if we had 4 rooms. They helped us always we needed something also in the night. One of the receptionist eqquiped boat trip for us. Hotel has good location, easy to reach city centre, bus stop in front of the hotel. The rooms were clean, every day clean towels and the room as well. Breakfast quite good, a lot of sweet cakes, croissants, fruit, ham, cheese, but not to much vegetables... good coffee. Sometimes we had a little problem to park our car but its normaly in Sicily:) In October we will go to Catania again and I am thinking about to book same hotel again
Cons: little vegetables for breakfast...
