5,5 Okay
Pros: The B&B is very centrally located. That is all the positive thing I can say about it.
Cons: 1. The owner changed the address of the facility but never informed us. It took us (both sixty plus) almost two hours with two large suitcases to find the B&B facility. The actual B&B where he made us stay was named differently (B&B Catania Etna) and was located at a different address (via Etnea, 198) than the address provided through 'booking.com'. A photo of the property front is attached here. 2. The owner does not accept any credit cards for payments. 3. The room was stuffy and the a/c didn't work properly.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Clean and central
10,0 Excellent
Pros: This b&b is simply amazing...location is fabulous, right in the heart of via Etnea. Staff offer a great service and the rooms are super clean..definately recommended. Tasha, Malta.

Pros: The location it was perfect and reachable for shopping and restaurants even for the public transport.but from the booking.com the hotel address is writen 290 via etnea but they told us that 3 years ago moved to same street but the nbr was 196.so if you please arrange it .I,m very satisfied for my staying in b&b massimo
9,3 Excellent
Pros: Location is very good, near to the city center and host is very gentle.
5,0 Okay
Pros: Location
Cons: Mosquitoes in the room and the host didn't even react to do something about it.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Nice staff, breakfast was okay, nice room and view.
Cons: Wrong adress on the booking so we had problems with finding the b&b.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Very quiet room tucked off the busy street. Hosts were excellent when flight was severely delayed and waited up until very late at night for our check in. Spacious and comfortable room.
Cons: Bathroom was a little bit dirty/mouldy. Bath/shower didn't drain very well.
7,5 Good
Pros: You get good value for money. The room is very small. There is no coffee corner. Breakfast at a nearby coffee shop, coffe and croissant only. Excellent location. Small room.

9,5 Excellent
Pros: A highlight of our trip to Sicily! Beautifully, almost luxuriously, furnished and extremely friendly staff. Wish we had more time to spent there.
Cons: The location is a bit off the center of town, but not too much. It the decorations more than compensate for this.
9,3 Excellent
Pros: Very quiet and comfortable
Cons: Nothing
9,5 Excellent
Pros: The immediate surroundings are perhaps typical of some of the back-street areas of Catania, however, the Liberty Hotel is an absolute real GEM. It offers tranquillity, with a wonderful welcoming and restful ambience. Having said that, the staff are so friendly, helpful and personable, who take 'service' to another level. Around the corner within just a few minutes walk are excellent local restaurants serving great fresh food and hospitality. The main square for buses, - inc. Airport bus is just 5 minutes walk away, - with many of the sites also being in reasonable walking distance. The hotel is quite exceptional for what it offers, and our stay exceeded expectations and was a wonderful bonus to our holiday!
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was good and staff friendly and very helpful. We were upgraded to a bigger room so that was a nice surprise.
Cons: I would have expected an iron and coffee making facilities.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely hotel with fantastic staff. The breakfast was great. The rooms are decorated in a fabulous style. I enjoyed the cocktails we had in the lobby after a hot day of sight seeing

Pros: Staff is super competent, kind and proactive; at my request, I had gluten-free food for breakfast. Candied orange peels and sugar coated almonds were a great local plus!!! Ambience and furniture (in Liberty style) made the atmosphere special. Gorgeous jasmin berceau outside!

Pros: Mr. Carmelo and his brother with the staff Christian were very helpful and nice. The location of B&B is more than perfect ( city centre) . With all my heart we recomend this accomodation.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The friendliness of the host. Carmelo was very welcoming.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: the location is great and the owners very friendly and helpfull
10,0 Excellent
Cons: The breakfast could be better.
9,5 Excellent
Pros: Great location. Lovely room in an old Palacio but with modern facilities. For breakfast you get a voucher to use in a v nice cafe 50 meters away. . Coffee, juice, brioche.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Located a block away from the University square!! Book this B&B and you will not be disappointed!!! Our group stayed in 3 of the four rooms available. Each room can comfortably fit 5 people and maybe 6 if one person uses the foldable cot. The rooms are like a “loft style”. If you have small children just make sure they don’t climb the stairs to the upper part of your room. Bathroom is clean. There is a refrigerator but make sure it’s plugged in as they don’t plug it in 24/7 to save energy. Check in was easy even if we arrived in the evening. Beds are firm but still comfortable. Parking is on the street - we had problems with this but our host accommodated to help us! Food options and restaurants are just a few steps away. Fun fact: Bellini, the music composer, worked in this building!!! Our host told us this fact... Very cool!
Cons: There’s no elevator so if you have big luggages, you’d have to bring it up 3 flights of stairs.. the B&B is located on the 2nd floor.
7,5 Good
Pros: The location
Cons: Parking was difficult
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Carmelo greeted us and helped carry our suitcases up the stairs. It is on the 2nd floor. He was so lovely and welcoming. I stayed with my husband and 6 year old son and we felt the room was big enough. It had double windows that block out any street noise. It is in the best location with everything right outside your door. The room was so clean! It was absolutely spotless. I was so impressed because I am O.C.D! Not a spec of dust to be seen. Breakfast was good. Got a pastry, juice and coffee per person and it is at a cafe just down stairs in the square. Would highly recommend and if we are ever in Catania again we will be back for sure!! Thank you Carmelo
Cons: Nothing
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The Hotel is in the ideal spot exactly in the heart of Catania; very close to all shops and amenities. The host Carmelo was very nice, available at all times and very efficient. Room was clean and tidy with daily cleaning routines. Christian was very gentle and assisted us when we needed. Thank you. Keep up the good work.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location, and noise reduction windows extremely efficient. The bar for which we received vouchers for breakfast was excellent (delicious pastries and good coffee).
Cons: We found the bed and pillows extremely hard and uncomfortable. I had back-ache after 2 nights. There is a coffee machine in the entrance, for which capsules need to be bought at reception. This was not indicated, and it was lucky I noticed the machine and asked at check-in. Guests should be informed of this option at check-in.

Pros: Nice place and big room. Perfect experience
7,0 Good
Pros: very good location.
Cons: i had asked in advance if it was a problem when we arrive at 1am because our plane arrived late and was told it was no problem. when we arrived we were asked to pay 14€ "city tax" by the receptionist. we saw online that city tax was only 1 to 1,50€ per person, so we didn't want to pay it, because we weren't told about that in advance. the receptionist was very insistant and then called someone (the owner?) because his english was better, who said the 10 euro were an extra fee for our late check in and only the 4 euro was city tax. but that there was a problem with the water so we could talk about that in the morning. in the morning someone had texted me on whatsapp if everything was ok. at the reception they again wanted the money from us and then we again talked on the phone and were told we only had to pay the 4 euro because of the problem with the water (that was leeking out of underneath the shower). after we had left he asked me to leave a 10 point review here, which unfortunatly i cannot. long story short: if you charge for late check in, please put that on your website + inform your guests about it before they arrive, espically if they ask you if a late arrival is a problem.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: the staff messaged me everyday to see if everything is oki

Pros: Location, kind host, cleanliness

10,0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly and helpful lady, Antonella. When in Italy I try to speak some Italian - I am a guest - but Antonella spoke such good English, I gave up! The flat was comfortable, clean, and the bedroom was nice and light, when the curtains were drawn, with a high vaulted ceiling. The flat opened out onto a substantial courtyard which was a real treat. Breakfast was very good.
Cons: Wi-fi. A real problem. It worked well in the courtyard, but in the flat - forget it

Pros: The hotel was perfectly located in the center of Catania on the main shopping street. However, having now traveled to Catania, I wouldn’t recommend staying in this city for more than 1 night.

Featured amenities include a business center, express check-in, and express check-out. A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge during limited hours, and self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Room was quiet with windows to the courtyard. I don't know about street-side rooms (if there are any). Air-con included and worked very well. Breakfast was ok and included hot foods as well (scrambled eggs and cheap sausages). Location and price was why I chose this hotel. I arrived late and was catching a train the next morning. Just a stone's throw from the railway station with 24h reception.
Cons: No complaints, all good.
6,8 Good
Pros: The interior fittings. The breakfast
Cons: TV limited. Slow to change stations. No sport No English TV Wi fi was very poor
7,5 Good
Pros: Breakfast was very generous and tbe staff were very helpful. Very close to the train station.
Cons: The shower didnt run hot water. The fridge didnt work well either.
9,5 Excellent
Pros: Almost everything about the hotel was excellent. Our room was amazing - period furnished, like the rest of the hotel, with perhaps an over-the-top sense of humour which we enjoyed. We had a view across the busy road and railway line but through tree tops to the sea. Double glazing on the windows was excellent so the traffic noise did not bother us at all. And the air con worked - even in July. Breakfast in the internal courtyard was very good and a pleasant shady environment despite the heat. The hotel is just across the road from the railway station and bus stop for the airport.
Cons: The area in which the hotel is located is the seedy end of town, with few enticing eateries within say a 10 minute walk. And the urban area between the hotel and town centre was down-at-heel, in poor repair and graffitied, and so unpleasant to walk through.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Nice hotel, good breakfast! Close to Railway and Bus stations.
Cons: Wi-Fi not very good worked(((...
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Very good environment and a variety of selections of breakfast on the patio. Very close to central train station and central bus stations.

6,3 Good
Pros: Helpful staff Parking available
Cons: Location- good for train station A bit rough in one direction - dirty streets Room facilities need refurbishing
10,0 Excellent

Pros: Great location, friendly staff, reasonable price for what it is. Wifi connection is good. The staff gave good recommendations. Breakfast here is very good. Highly recommended.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Hotel Manganelli came like a wonderful surprise to me. Located at the heart of Catania city with a great connection to the restaurants, shooping area, attractions and bus stations make this hotel my best choice ever. The staff was excellent and available to help you with anything, the room was really clean and quiet and the breakfast was very good and served inside or to the lovely tarrace. I will miss that delicious food and their espresso done every morning by the polite lady at the bar. If you want much quiet room I can suggest you to choose the room from the garden side which happens to be the best to me. Catania is a huge city though if you will travel with shuttle bus from the airport I can suggest you to take Alibus which will stop you right to the Borsalino plazza. From there you just go to Duomo and just keep walking straight until you meet the intersection Via Etnea and Via Antonio di Sangiuliano where the hotel is located just 50 m to the right of Via Antonio Di Sangiuliano. I had a great time at Manganelli Hotel and I am pretty sure that you will enjoy it too. Thank you Manganelli staff for your kindness and hospitality , I will be glad to came back again.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were very friendly & helpful & it’s a beautiful hotel. A great hotel for a romantic weekend.,
Cons: Nothing
8,5 Excellent
Pros: Staff was very professional and welcoming. Joseph checked us in and was a great host. The room was very clean and spacious, with a 18th century ceiling. They also offer 24h service, which is great if you need something in the middle of the night. We didn't have a chance to try the breakfast because we had a trek booked early in the morning but it seemed great.
Cons: There was no bin in the room, just one in the bathroom, which is not very convenient when you travel and need to get rid of stuff. The room had air-conditioner which was great due to the heat, but a light flashes everytime it is on, which can be annoying if you like to sleep in complete darkness. We also asked the staff to book a cab to go early at the airport, and they assured that we could pay card, but it happened we couldn't, so we had to find an ATM to withdraw some cash at 4 in the morning.
9,5 Excellent
Pros: Good location. We have had nice breakfast at the rooftop. The staff is very polite. and nice.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: FANTASTIC BREAKFAST AND ROOF TOP VIEWING
Cons: ROOMS WERE NOT ALL THE SAME AS REQUESTED - SOME WERE MUCH SMALLER THAN OTHERS, BOOKED 5 ROOMS IN TOTAL

Cons: Uncomfortable bed
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Good breakfast, eapecially for 3 EUR Friendly staff Great value for money
Cons: Elevator was super slow and old Air conditioning in the room was not so powerful
9,3 Excellent
Pros: Nice room, great breakfast and helpful staff
Cons: Definitely noise, I was on an inner courtyard so no street noise but you could hear everything in the next room then the bathroom Awful
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was amazing and the best part of the stay
Cons: All was good!
9,3 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff, hotel on a walking distance from monumental and shopping areas. Lots of fun places to have dinner and a drink nearby. Very clean and in well condition. For a fee, you can get your car in a private parking. Good breakfast selection.
9,5 Excellent
Pros: The room was spacious and the bed comfortable. A tiny bit of street noise outside that seemed to fade at a reasonable time. The check in and staff were friendly and helped set up a taxi at fixed rate for our airport trip the next morning. He was also keen to inform me about Best Western discounts and points in future. For a small hotel and breakfast room the breakfast was really great with the added bonus of Sicily's classic fresh granita with brioche. I would have lingered longer in there if we had the time. The price was excellent value, perfect for one night stay or more, depending on your needs.
Cons: It was great to have coffe/tea making in the room with kettle, however there appeared not to be any milk packets amongst others such as sugar and honey. The other thung that appears common in Sicily is the excessive use of plastic. The cups offered for the hot drinks were styrofoam which is unpleasant to drink from and wasteful. The plastic spoon offered had begun to melt in my tea as I stirred in the sugar. Please offer real cups for coffee/tea and metal spoons and help to not make more waste in your island and country. For some reason we had trouble with the safe in the room. Staff came to help and then it worked. Of course when they left and we tried again, it didn't work. Who knows why. Unlucky. There was no iron in the room but I'm guessing they would find one if needed.
9,3 Excellent
Pros: A nice little hotel in a quiet location. The most extraordinary feature of this hotel is an excellent breakfast for a mere 3 euro!! Clean and quite spacious room with a big balcony. Comfortable bed. Very helpful and smiling staff. Highly recommended.
Cons: that I had to leave so soon ;)
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Hotel is quite great, location is good. Easy to reach "must see" places. Breakfast is good and staff - willing to help
Cons: We had lots of troubles with wifi quality, so hotel is not so suitable for business travelers, who don't have their own internet. Also it is not so convenient, if you want reach beach by foot
8,0 Excellent
Pros: The property is well located close to the city centre with a secure parking garage - therefore it is great for those travelling with a rental car. The rooms, although a little dated were clean and comfortable with the balcony providing a nice touch in the evenings before heading out for dinner. The reception staff were very helpful!
Cons: The breakfast waiting staff looked thoroughly unenthused and were not very forthcoming... it took several attempts to wrestle an espresso out of them! The rooms are basic and felt a little old however all things considered this was a good hotel for the price!
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was great as well as the location.
Cons: Change the old carpets.

Pros: excellent quality and selection. attention to cleanliness and detail by staff
9,1 Excellent
Pros: The hotel looks very new, nice lobby and remodeled rooms and bathrooms. The room was very small, the location was great, as long as you walk left when you get out of the hotel (if you go right you'll find lots of hookers, waiting, sitting on plastic chairs, i'm not joking). Great restaurants within 1 block, friendly staff.
7,0 Good
Pros: Spacious rooms, great breakfast
Cons: Noise from the road at night
9,3 Excellent
Pros: Parking easy and just around the corner. Staff were very nice, very helpful. The bathroom was spotlessly clean. The bar area was comfortable with lots of seating.
Cons: The lift was broken for part of our stay, I had an fractures wrist and we struggled to find the right stairs to use. I wasn’t keen on the curtained drapes over the bed.
9,3 Excellent
Pros: Close to the center
6,8 Good
Pros: Staff was the best. Very friendly and helpful, always smiling
Cons: Fitness centre was just a fake. No air condition and threadmill did not work The terrace was a mess, could make more out of it Air condition lived its own life, cold in the mornings even though I turned it off at night Balcony is a joke Ear plugs saved my sleep, city is not quiet at night

Pros: Location
9,5 Excellent
Pros: The location of the hotel was central. The rooms were comfortable. The staff were very polite and helpful. The breakfast was very good.
10,0 Excellent
Cons: the breakfast is not very complete. no more croissants at 9:30. eggs sunny side up not included. this is this only negative. the rest was excellent and the staff is adorable.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: The barman/sommelier Antonio, was fantastic. He was quick, attentive and gave great service. He was also very interesting to talk to, and offered excellent advice on places to visit.
Cons: I never quite mastered the secrets of the air conditioning. No matter what setting I tried, it seemed to have a mind of its own. We'd be sweating all night long, then when we had finished breakfast and were going out for the day, it would come on of its own accord, to cool down an empty room! Still I guess the maid was comfortable.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Room was large, architecture and furniture are beautiful. The staff was very kind. Breakfast was good.
Cons: We asked for a silent room and were not assigned one. The toilet was getting stuck, the hotel although right next to the via Etnea and the heart of Catania sits on a quite ugly and dirty street.

A shuttle from the hotel to the airport is provided for a surcharge (available 24 hours), and self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
6,3 Good
Pros: Good central location.
Cons: Breakfast is a dreary, unappetising affair, with a manky fridge containing yogurt and cheese and sausage of indeterminate age. No fresh fruit despite being within stone' s throw of the market. The cellophane wrapped pastries (?) and cerials look like they've been around for some time. No-one around till 09:30 to help with coffee or anything else. Definitely will not go back.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: The lady from the reception desk was really nice and helpful
Cons: It was hard to reach the hotel. The music was playing for a half of the night, so it was hard to sleep. The breakfast was poor
6,8 Good
Pros: A short walk from the historic center. If you arrive at the right time, parking is easy to find.
Cons: It's not really the nicest part of town and there's a somewhat loud bar down the road,
3,0 Mediocre
Pros: Terrible breakfast. Fruit and coffee and a sweet roll.
Cons: Next to a bar that is opened till 3 am. People gathering and talking all night under our window. We had arranged for a driver to take us to taormina and we didn't find out he wouldn't do it till last minute. They called another driver who was excellent. Got us to Taormina safely.
9,5 Excellent
Pros: Just a great place, at a great location, actually easy to find. Even though I did not meet the staff (late check in and early check out) the communication by email was super fast and friendly. So even without having met the staff, I felt very welcomed.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The receptionist, Alice, is the best. She speaks good english and will put a lot of effort into making everything perfect for guests and is genuinely nice person
Cons: Near the hostel is one of the coolest pubs in Catania. However, if you prefer to sleep early, and have trouble falling asleep with a bit of noise, it can get hard to fall asleep.
9,5 Excellent
Pros: Location and staff
8,3 Excellent
Pros: The problem with the broken shower was fixed very fast. We were able to shower in another room that day. Very adequate solution.
Cons: The shower was a bit old and broke during our stay.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was great. since it was set up in the evening, I was able to take a first bite at night, when I finally got back from the bars and beauty neighborhood. In the fridge was also cheese and salami and eggs. The room was comfortable and the window to the street - french balcony style - gives flair. Unfortunately it was raining next morning - the receptionist insisted to borrow me an umbrella - after two hours in the city i was super happy about this. What else ? It's just a place to sleep - that's fine. They offer a shuttle to the airport or vice versa - but 15 Euro was too much for me. It's a nice city, so I walked. And since I thought, it's just money-making by tourists, I was super surprised a happy about the smart and vibrant character of the receptionist or the mother of the owner, who was fighting with me for the espresso machine - which we used alternating - and all the others too. - funny, nice, go there if you are not the airport-hotel-business type.
Cons: it was raining
2,5 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing, it was a nightmare. Worst B&B of a 10 days trip.
Cons: Dirty bedclothes, totally worn out bed, shower broken and dirty, dirty and dark area, owner didn't care. We booked and paid two nights but checked out after the first night(mare). At the reception worked only students, owner was not available. We complained about the dirty bedclothes but the guy from reception said it was an old spot and that the cloth was cleaned! We asked for a cancelation but it was not possible. We had already paid the tourist tax and had to pay it again in the next place. I would not recommend this place, for the same price you can find better ones. We went to a small hotel that cost only some euros more and it was so much better.

Pros: Very good staff. Friendly people
9,5 Excellent
Pros: Great old building , nice room.
Cons: Breakfast
6,8 Good
Pros: Location was very central. The double rooms (which I requested even though only a single person) were huge and bathrooms good.
Cons: Rooms overlooking the main street of Catania are noisy. The first room I stayed in had very little hot water in the evenings. The breakfast was ok but I did not enjoy it that much. We ordered a taxi for the airport when departing and it was provided by the hotel, meaning we were driven to the airport by someone from the hotel. I believe he overcharged us considerably for that journey.
6,8 Good
Cons: The queen beds are single beds pushed together... it is not a queen and they tend to separate in the middle of the night. The breakfast is very very basic.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely staff, excellent location. Such good value as well.
4,5 Okay
Pros: The location is central to many spots in Catania and the rooms are adequate for the price. Internet was free but, not unlimited as a key had to be obtained every other day.
Cons: Staff does not speak English and did not go out of their way to make any accommodations, communication overall was poor and there were last minute shuffling of rooms which, was annoying. Staff seems to be unclear on some basic pricing policies set out in rules set by their 3rd party booking agencies.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Nice staff and helpful . comfortable bed.clean everywhere.very central
Cons: Bathroom didn't have shelves to put personal things
6,3 Good

Pros: The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location is perfect. Right beside the fish market.
Cons: Our room smelled very strongly of cigarettes and needed to be repainted. One lamp didn't work. We were only given two pillows. The towels smelled damp and the hot water on the shower kept turning on and off.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Had a lovely fresh croissant with coffee in the main square, only 2 minutes walk from the accommodation, all organised by the owner.
Cons: Everything was super! Great location, very accommodating host, and our apartment was spacious, with a terrace overlooking Mount Etna. Would definitely stay here again.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: This is one of the most wonderful places in the world all was more than fine. Hopefully to be back to our wonderful host in this little paradise. E baci Tina
6,8 Good
Pros: Right next to the fish market and Catania center, but we only use this as transfer which is not very convenient, it’s about 15min walk to the bus/train terminals also not easy to get the Alibus in Piazza Paolo Borsellino so we have to chose taxi(20euro).Breakfast is right in the Piazza but unfortunately we had a flight to catch:(
Cons: no lift so you need to carry luggage to the 3rd floor, more stairs inside the B&B, but those ones the host Alessandro helped us.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Great location near the Duomo and Fish market 10 minute dawdle from Alibus stop Like the design elements Great shower Really like the provision of coffee/Tea facilities and honesty box for cold drinks at fair price
Cons: Nothing bad

Pros: Location very good.
Cons: Wifi didn’t work. Building looks a bit worn down.
9,5 Excellent
Pros: Very nice personel, perfect location near the fish market. I liked the terrace with view of Etna.
Cons: It was a bit chilly in March and a single heater was not enough but in the end it was ok.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: A hospitable secure welcoming stay in a classic European B&B that was so enjoyable, added amenities such as access to an espresso machine, refrigerator, laundry, hair dryer, down comforter, ironed pillow cases, guest toiletries with modern decorated plumbing fixtures in a perfect location; a quick walk to the Piazza Duomo, alongside the famous fish market, offering 'street food' fresh vegetables, fruits, deli cheeses, meats, local baked goodies. Piazza offered fine and casual dining, shopping and tours. Alessandro was very kind and helpful answering questions. As a 76 year old senior woman, I feel very pleased that I chose B&BDesign.
9,5 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly owner Great location near fish market 5/10 min walk from Alibus (airport bus) stop Free coffee and tea making facilities in reception and an honesty fridge for cold drinks great idea

Pros: The location couldnt be better. Food market right under the windows. Walking distance to Piazza Duomo and all the main historical monuments. Great value for the price!
Cons: It was a little bit cold in the room in the evenings (at night).

Pros: Good breakfast, spacious & clean room, great location 5-10 min to the main street. Cristian was a great host. He gave us a lot of usseful informations about places to visit and where to eat,...
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Cristian is a superhost, very friendly and helpful. I had a big luggage with me and there are no elevators, so he helped me with that, and also took me to the train station by car. The room was good, comfortable bed and air conditioner. I had a shared bathroom but it was fine, no problem at all. Also, I recommend taking the 3€ breakfast, which is good and for a reasonable price.
Cons: My unique complain is about the neighborhood. I am a solo travel woman and there were several immigrants in the street, I felt unsafe being alone there. If you are in the same situation, I would recommend to be very careful or choose a more crowded place to stay. Anyways, it’s just a 5 minute walk from the main street. If you are in a group, I don’t see a problem in that.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Everything was as per the description. I was traveling with two girlfriends. Space was very convenient for the 3 of us - room was loft-like, one large bed downstairs and one single - upstairs. Our host Cristian was very helpful and accommodating. Breakfast was simple but homey and attended with care by him alone. He also gave us directions and recommendations for few places we should go to - villages, tratories, beaches etc. We had a rental car, and the location was very convenient with easy access to city center, city exits, airport and beachfront. Parking was also easy and convenient - keep in mind that there is self-service machine you should pay at.
Cons: *We arrived pretty late, around midnight and the neighborhood was slightly disturbing for three girls alone, but the morning had changed the view. *The shower was a bit too tiny. *I am pregnant and had a little bit of trouble climbing the stairs, but it is in the description so I was expecting it.
9,5 Excellent
Pros: Nice room, clean bathroom, really nice host!
8,3 Excellent
Pros: The room was very big, as well as toillete wich had everything we need and more! The location is very good, near from station and main services (coffes, restaurants, markets). Actually there is a minimarket right by side.
Cons: The building has not elevator, and the apartment is on the last floor. So we have a lot of steps to up with our luggage, but if you like to do some exercice is not a problem to you :)
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Cristian is a very friendly and helpful person. Room was nice and the breakfasts were huge and delicious. Good localisation, close to city center. Room is on the third floor without lift.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Really easy to come there and if coming late you can get The key from neighbour kiosk! Super friendly stuff, Christian even carried my bike downstairs from 3rd floor.. I had own bathroom also!
Cons: Room was for one so it was quite small. From shower you had to really whait to get warm water.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The apartment is very very good. Very close to the city center just few steps to the market and the historical center as well. Christian the owner he is very helpful and tell you lot of things what you have to see or visit under your stay. The house is in San Bellini district which is a hipster area lots of designer shops and restaurants and bars. We just loved our stay there. So I advise not to miss Christian and his apartment.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast very very good, and just 3 euro per person.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice and clean room (everyday cleaning), very nice and helpful host, unexpected very good breakfast with fresh bread. Very close to the central station and city center.
Cons: You have to know that part of the street looks not freandly (but we didn’t have any dangerous situation)

Pros: Location
Cons: Broken lights, broken mini bar, broken sink. Room was run down, staff sullen and unfriendly. No help with broken facilities. A three night stay not long enough for them to get anything done. Staff at breakfast looked suicidal. Not a great experience all round. Only good thing is the location, close to everything in catania.

9,5 Excellent
Pros: Great location, very nice staff
Cons: slightly small bathroom
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is very beautiful and the rooms are clean and spacious. We enjoyed the friendly staff, the tasty breakfast and the good location in the old city center. We fully recommend this hotel and we will definitely stay here again when we come back to Catania.
5,8 Okay
Pros: A central location and a nice building
Cons: The staff... Not everyone at the front desk speak English which created problems for us. For example, we called down to get our car and they ordered us a private transport.... When we came down form the room and realized this there was not really a que at the reception ( on guest who took her time - which is no problem for me) but the other girl working there didn't even want to come up and ask if she could help since she clearly did not understand English well enough. When the woman was done the man behind the desk instantly wanted to help an older woman who just came down to reception rather than me; could it be that she had a designer bag and fancy clothes rather than me in my trainers and shorts? (it felt like a "Pretty woman"-moment..!). It was now almost 40 minutes since we should have been on our was out of Catania for an excursion but since we didn't have our car and they keep the keys - we had to wait. When we finally got to talk to someone I weren’t given my key even if I said that I could get the car myself (they just park them further down the street on the side - not so safe considering the small narrow roads..!), but I was not given the key. They insisted to get it. Frustrated and late i followed the guy and when he had unlocked the car I took over and drove off from there. That’s just one of many issues. Your breakfast was another HUGE disappointment! There was nothing. No fresh vegetables at all, some dry bread, yoghurt in packages and coffee from a machine (not a good one either..!). The staff for breakfast seemed to hate people - no smile, no good morning, nothing - unless you were Italian of course..! Then she changed were somewhat polite. The last days we decided to eat breakfast out (even though we had paid for breakfast). I bet for the money you pay here - you can find something much better else were! Then there is one more thing that just seemed mad. They have an amazing roof top terrace - that they don't use!?
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Big hotel near the city center of Catania. Our welcoming was fine, the room was also fine. It's a short walk into the city center and Catania is a lovely city to explore! The reception helped us with choosing our transport back to the airport.
Cons: Before we arrived, we received an e-mail about reviews. I understand the meaning of this e-mail, but to receive it before you even arrive at a hotel, feels a bit strange. It had me doubting whether I should even write a review, but I still did. I think it would be better if the meaning of the e-mail was explained in person, at the reception for example in stead of by e-mail.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location, nice staff
10,0 Excellent

8,0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly staff, helpful and competent. Breakfast rich and good. Position of hotel is good and room was quiet. I am looking forward to spend my time once more in this hotel.
Cons:
6,0 Good
Pros: Excellent location, Luigi on the reception desk was exceptionally helpful and even arranged to send on the clothes I'd left to our next hotel in Taormina! We were offered a choice of room and selected a small but well equipped and comfortable room with delightful french windows and balcony. We were on the side of the hotel and this turned out to be quiet. I'd advise you to avoid the front of the hotel at the weekend unless you are going to be out yourself partying late (it's a bit of a gathering place late on in the evening).
Cons: The breakfast service was not replenished - we went there half an hour before it closed and it was pretty sparse to say the least, but the coffee and croissants were excellent. It's probably best to get their early. Our bathroom was a little on the snug side which may be a problem for some, but then we did have a choice of larger rooms had we wanted them.
7,6 Good
Pros: Central location, friendly staff, great room.
Cons:
7,2 Good
Pros: Very friendly staff. Room excellent. Breakfast not too impressive - but italians don't do breakfast like brits.. Location fine for catania sightseeing etc.
Cons: No. It was good and we would stay again. Really liked the place.

Pros: Good central location with highly efficient and professional staff.
Cons: A few problems re noise from nearby bars on the Saturday night!

9,5 Excellent
Pros: Very nice and helpful staff! I need theirs advice and they have the patience and professionalism to give us. Understanding for a late check out, maps and information offering, flight tickets listing. I remembered only a name of receptionist, Mrs Annarita, but the same her colleagues are very processional. Congratulate for management! The breakfast good, with a large kind of products. The rooms clean, good conditions for long time staying. Parking in front of hotel!
Cons: Everything was perfect!

Cons: The receptionist somehow could not write the company information correctly on the bill and She also said that she can't make changes to the system afterwards

Cons: The front desk staff, both night and day, are unfriendly and like to comment on you a lot and also to laugh lightly at you after you leave.
