The BEST was the turn-in experience with Jackson and Israel. They're truly customer-oriented and want to help people get on their way after turning in their cars - OUTSTANDING customer service! Not so great was that, when the vehicle sat in the sun/warmed up, there was a body odor smell in the upholstery. It was okay early mornings from the garage but always came out when parked in a carpark or driving in the sun. Needs shampooing or something.Reviewed Sept 19 2026

The front desk employee was professional and courteous. I only sing praises when praises are due and he gave very good customer service.Reviewed Jul 28 2026

The pick up area was hard to find. The facility was filthy and ill kept. The clerks were surly and tried to upsell every customer leading to a huge line. Cars were barely cleaned. The Toyota we rented was dirty - it had been run though the car wash and left wet. We were happy to get a car though. There were very few at the facility. When we returned the car, no one greeted us and it appears we were billed twice for the rental and the voucher not honored Definitely will not be renting through Kayak again.Reviewed Apr 18 2026

The workers were great. The car was fine. I could have gotten a sedan as I requested but the SUV was at least not that big.Reviewed Apr 2 2026

Their customer service was excellent—pick-up and drop-off were very efficient. I needed to change the date and drop-off location and Avis did the change. They treated me like a good customer should be treated.Reviewed Mar 20 2026

The car was just fine as far as a midsize model to drive which they only had one more to rent out the Weight at the DCA airport was almost 1 hour. The line at their rental shop even though I had a reservation was 45 minutes. I was told I would get an email of my receipt which I need to get reimbursed for work and to this moment I still don’t have an email. I was just lucky. I remembered the location to return it because I had no information given to me and I don’t know I checked the email with them and it should be correct but I do not have one at pick up or drop off.Reviewed Mar 15 2026

The location I booked at had cars in the lot but didn't want to honor the rate I booked. He told me he had no cars for me and I had to contact Avis support to book me a car at another location.Reviewed Mar 6 2026

Line was about 20 people deep and wasn’t moving so I abandoned the reservation. Also. This is so far away from the airport… not sure how this is considered on prem.Reviewed May 11 2025

Avis in Arlington was ok but in dayton where we returned the car they said they would email a receipt right away and they didn't. Now a day later and still no receipt. So frustrating.Reviewed Apr 8 2025

The lady at the counter when I went to pick up the car was super nice. What I didn’t like: my flight got in after 11pm when Avis closed, but I knew that would be a problem ahead of time so I had called and spoken with someone and they assured me that they would wait for me. However I got off my plane and no shuttles were running for Avis and I wasn’t able to get my car that night. I had to wait till almost 7am before one of the shuttles would allow me to get in and for then to take me to Avis.Reviewed Apr 9 2024
