This was all done in the office of the South African Airways who I assume was managing the Airlink flight."

Cons: "Nothing you could have provided other than a business class leg each way. Long, long flight across this planet—half way. I would prefer more English and Foreign movies, please. Unfortunately I left my prescription reading glasses on flight VA602 and Jacques Nortje at Heathrow was kind enough to go looking for them at the lost and found of Virgin Atlantic—to no avail. Black hard case with blue rimmed glasses and a blue cleaning cloth. His service was a godsend—enabling me to stay flight side whilst he went land side so I did not need to go through security for an unaccomplished mission as the glasses were not there."

This did not transpire and the whole plane had to sleep in the departure lounge on the seats with cold aircon and no food or drink. The staff went home and left us to survive. We were told that they would not put us on another flight. By 8 am there was a mutiny because no one was keeping us informed about what was happening. We were tired and hungry and they just did care. After a group meeting, which got very angry, we were then allocated a room in a hotel. The lack of help was unbelievable and we were made to feel like criminals. No senior management came to give apologies. No compensation was offered for our 24 hour delay."

I asked what arrangements would they make for me to get an allowance to cover costs of some clothing/toiletry items I would need to buy. Was told this is not Ethiopian Airlines policy!!!!! 5. This cannot be as there are international regulations in this regard. 6.YOU WILL PAY for express laundry service and a couple of items I'll need to buy today!!! 7. Tried calling 039754008 and only get a recorded message! THIS IS TOTALLY UNSATISFACTORY"

After that everyone just piled on board in no order. The elites were able to skip through and avoid dealing with the riff raff."

When it says “dis-infection of Aircraft” means Passengers are not Aircraft. Passengers should not be sprayed on. Passengers should not be in the airplane when this is sprayed. 2. Use for Pre-embarkation means no human in the aircraft. We were inside of the aircraft. It sprayed on our body all over and everywhere. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Major health damages: 3. After the spray, several passengers (our travel group) had severe sneezing attacks and running nose and sinusitis. One lady sneezed at least 50 times non-stop initially and continued to sneeze for the rest of the trip in the plane. Her sinus was swollen and painful for the rest of trip to Johannesburg. You are lucky she did not make a big deal and suffered silently. You may argue that WHO approved it. On the bottle, WHO approve for the use of Aircraft, not human in the aircraft. On August 15, 2016, I witnessed many passengers’ immune system were damaged – some reacted violently. 4. Please do not wait until someone has asthma attack and die in your aircraft due to allergy to the spray. 5. As a physician I prescribe Permethrin for Scabies treatment. Patients were told to use it on the skin for 8-10 hours and then wash off complete right away due to potential neurotoxicity, especially for young children. 6. My medical specialty is Integrative Medicine and Preventive Medicine. I feel I am obligated to bring this up to Department of Health of South Africa in order to prevent passengers being harmed, especially those who suffer from chemical / environmental allergies, rhinitis, sinusitis, asthma, COPD, skin disease, migraine, etc… just to name a few. 7. Suggestion and Solution: Passengers should all be off the plane, and escort to an area while aircraft is being re-fueled, cleaned and sprayed insides. This will make the cleaning crews more efficient for their cleaning work and less allergenic reactions, potential fatal, to passengers who suffer dust and / or insecticide spray allergies. This will reduce health hazard to passengers and workers. Thank you for being conscious about environmental safety issues. PS: One crew member, Imraan, is very conscientious. He came and showed his concern about symptoms one lady had from spray. He made SA airlines look better. One crew member was rude because he reluctant to give me one bottle of water for my husband who was sleeping at the time of the drink service. ."

Cons: "When we went to check-in for our flight using a kiosk, my husband's status was marked as "stand-by," even though we had confirmed our reservations. While we were trying to figure out what to do next, a uniformed airport porter, not one of the numerous hustlers hanging around JNB, offered to help us. He escorted us to a South African Airways' priority check-in station where the agent got on the phone. The agent and the porter conducted their discussion in a language I do not understand, however, when she saw me tip the porter ($10 US), she said something to him, and he told me that we needed to give her $20 US to "fix the problem." I handed him a $20 bill, which he slipped to her. Our confirmed boarding passes were then issued and we had no problem boarding the plane. I found this experience very disturbing. I will avoid using South African Airways in the future."

First, they cancel the first of our 3 flights to Delhi 18 hrs before it is to leave. The flight they replaced it with would leave us 10 min to make the connection. So we went to the counter and they told us they'd hold the plane, as did the stewardess on the flight. They lied. The plane left 10 min before we landed. We were stranded. Also, I got food poisoning from their food. They did nothing to help. They would not pay for the hotel we wanted, when we asked they rudely served everyone else they stranded first. The employee would not call his supervisor or give his name. The next morning i saw a doctor but the stomache infection was so bad i couldn't sit up or walk. The doctor wrote this on my clearance to fly document. I needed to get to India to get better medical help. We presented this to the kenya airlines agent and she would do nothing to help. She had business class reclining seats available but would not upgrade me. Even after everything this shitty airline has caused. Unbelievable. Every step along the way of this nightmare could have been made better, so much better, by some human decency but instead we got rude disregard."
Pros: "They wheelchaired my companion to the airport after delayed medical examination to make the flight."
Cons: "Kenya changed my flight to two hours later 18 hours before I was to leave. Making me have a 10 minute connection. Then after an hour in a airline office they promised to hold my connection. When my flight landed on time, they did not hold my connection. So they changed my flight and didn’t follow through on the fix. We would now miss wedding activities and business meetings. Then my partner got sick and they refused to taxi us to hotel for the night but take a bus that leaves every three hours. Her sickness got worse and there was a Kenyan airlines doctor who evaluated her at the airport after waiting 40 minutes laying at check in with her crying due to pain. We had a medical release from the doctor saying she needed extra space to lay down but the check in manager refused to make room for her saying the flight is full and she would not upgrade her to accommodate the medical release because we had an economy ticket. My partner looked so bad that the flight crew considered kicking us off but eventually made the space for her to lay down and were helpful on the flight. This is this disgraceful and the worst experience I’ve had with any company."
Pros: "Trip on the Dreamliner to/from Nairobi/Joburg went very smoothly. Entertainment was limited but worked and was fine for a 4 hour trip. Food was nothing great but nothing disastrous, booze was handed out willingly, staff were efficient, plane was on time - I rate it higher than SAA for the same leg and would choose KA again."
Cons: "Expensive at $800 but limited choice in Africa so what can you do?"
Pros: "The plane was pretty comfortable, they gave us blankets and pillows even though it was only a 4-hour flight."
Cons: "They served "breakfast" halfway through which was two tiny servings of meat and a piece of chocolate cake. Not much food and not really what I wanted to eat in the middle of the night! Boarding was completely chaotic, some screens said the flight was delayed, others said it was on time (it was delayed). When we arrived in Nairobi they hardly apologized for the delay, and also insisted on sending a bus to come pick us up from the plane because it was raining, which took forever. Missed my connection by about 5 minutes and had to wait almost 10 hours for the next one."

Cons: "Plane could not park at the domestic arrival, yet at the international slot we had to wait over 15 Minutes without communication by crew. Captain only announced when parking slot became available. It took long to get baggage delivered to domestic side and when baggage arrived some including mine were wet with stinking liquid in spite of no rain around airport. at the end Passengers on a later flight made it smoothly out and eventually lost 45 minutes since landing and dirty baggage."

When a foreigner asks me for guidance, I go out of my way to help. When out of your element, rude staff just add to the stress of being delayed! I hate Kenya Airport staff!!!"
Cons: "so arrive on KQ flight from bangkok which had been delayed so missed connecting flight to arusha. Then due to a complete lack of communication within the kq staff they made me miss the next connectign flight too and then expected me to wait another 10hrs for the next available flight to arusha."

Cons: "I was told to get my boarding pass at the counter, and when I did so, I was consistently told how wrong I was. They moved gates, and didn't update the screen or airport-wide monitors. A staff member didn't come get the 30+ passengers until 15 minutes before. One of my two bags didn't make it to the airport. After working with a very unfriendly airport worker, I was told it would be delivered to my hotel by 8 am. The receptionist told me tha they left a message, saying I could pick it up at the airport."
