They put extra care for kids and babies and all of kids get gift bag with toys, chocolate etc. which makes everyone happy Especially kids. Cons: "My 17 yr old son is stranded in Doha because Qatar cancelled his connection to Nairobi which is unprofessional and terribly worrisome . I, his mother, am in Greece with no way ofhelping him get to Kenya. Qatar offers no restitution and no help . The worst situation right now!"

Cons: "Menu choice was very basic and quantity was also poor. Food quality was below par in terms of taste and presentation. In-flight crew was inefficient and flow. Meal trays laid on meal tables for hours after the passengers finished food. Flight attendants literally responded in over 30 min of call. I pressed special meals online before boarding. However, the flight attendants were not sure. They went back to kitchen to verify that and return with the ordered meal."

All luggages got lost, one of them had my dad’s 3 month supply of medicine (hence we had to check), and none of the Lufthansa nor United customer service have been helpful. This is outright horrible… Will always try to avoid Lufthansa whenever I can from this point on
We didn't have right seat.. No kosher food
Cons: "I got overcharged for a bag $230 Dollars, both planes were delayed, the supervisor Danny at Ohare was horrible, will never use Lufthansa ever again!"

Cons: "Muslim meal does not mean all Muslims eat curry. It’s rediculous that we cant have a decent English breakfast instead you get curry or some form of curry for breakfast, lunch and supper. Your so called Muslim meals are not suitable for kids!! There is no such thing as a Muslim meal either. It’s simply called Halal otherwise then everyone else’s meals should be called Christian or Jewish meals etc. Also I requested help with transfer to my last flight which was horrendous because I’m one adult with 4 kids ages 1 to 11 and my eldest has sever learning disability. I nearly missed my flight because our flight landed late and I was struggling to keep my kids safe and together while running for the next flight. Somone should have been there to help with transfer."

Do they run inferior planes to South Africa compared to USA?"

Cons: "First of all, the boarding took an hour longer than it should have been so we all sat in the plane dripping with sweat, because it was 100 degrees in Houston and the plane didn't have A/C on until we took off. Food was not good, some mysterious meat they called beef stew and veggies with strange texture. We ended up drinking more since the food was bad. The entertainment choices were OK but the equipment was a bit ancient, my husband's screen ( we sat in the front where screen pulled out of the seat) was broken and was held by a duct tape(???!!!) The seats are small, I have flown with other companies on transatlantic flights and their seats are bigger and more comfortable in economy class."

Cons: "Delays and cancellations required me to go through security 4 times, deal with 4 different check in agents (at 3 different locations) and 2 international calls to Lufthansa customer support before being able to rebook my ticket. It took 3 hours to get rebooked, and just barely made it to the new flight. Lufthansa Agents at airport were rude, would often make me wait while they did other things, and then just tell me that they couldn't rebook me, and I needed to go to another line."

Cons: "The crew we had was very impatient and irritated quickly. The flighy attendent name was Jorge. Starting at the beggining of the flight before we took of I asked him about the head phones. One child had one on tye chair and I asked him if its suppose to be on the seat or given later on. He said it will be passed later and then with a patronizing manner he gave another head phone set and said: "I guess we havw an emergency". On the flight, every time he with the food and drinks he just stood there next to me talking over my head with the passenger begind me. Very uncomfortable, especially when it happens 6 or 7 times. When asking what drink we wanted ( the first time), i replied apple and orange juicewith no ice. He replied, with a patronizing manner "this it European company, not American company. Here we don't put ive if you do not ask for it".The incident that bother me the most is one that involved my kids also. My daughter (3 years old) was a bit scared of the flight, tired and did not want to sit on her chair. We tried to keek her on the chair buy she started crying laying down on the floor infront of our seats. Jorge the flight attendant saw her and told me to put her on the seat. Not in a manner I expect out of soneone in the service industry. I told him we are working on it and we will have her on the chair as soon as we can. When I said that he got irritated and a bit aggressive. For no reason the situation became hostile. The flight attendent on the other side (do not know his name). Can over and asked us what we needed amd if we need help. I told the other flight attendant we need 5 minutes and he said OK. After a few minutes she calmed down. Anotger passenger asked Jorge what beer it is and he replied, with contempt, " its German beer, its good"."
Pros: "Even the hot food was sweet."
Pros: "I flew round-trip in Business Class from Munich to Kiev and then back to Germany via Frankfort and both flights were on time. The dedicated business class check-in line and advance boarding process was smooth - as were both flights. The cabin crew on both flights were very good and all spoke English well. My chief complaint is with the European Business Class seating model (3 across with center seat empty) - which does not afford much more leg room or seat pitch than in economy class. On the plus side you don't have to get in a fist-fight with anyone over the overhead bin storage problem since there are less people in business class and hence more storage space."
Cons: "The "European business class model" is not that great when you are paying a premium price to ride in Business Class. I think the prior 2 x 2 arrangement on each side with larger (and more comfortable) seats...plus more legroom and seat pitch...is preferable."
Cons: "At the luggage claim the flight crew collected their baggage first then the passengers. My last bag didn't appear for 40 minutes after the flight crew departed."
Pros: "Late flight with no prior notification. Caused us to miss our connection."
Cons: "The seating was poor. The armrest did not go up even so I and another passenger tried hard. I then had to climb over it to be able to get to the washroom at 86 that was not the easiest and again it should not happen regardless. Otherwise I was treated well.I was a wheel chair passenger for medical reason. Thanks Helen"

Cons: "Almost missed flight from heathrow to Newark. Previous flight was delayed. No airline personnel at arrival gate in heathrow. Finally had to run from the after the multiple security and passport checks, for about 15 minutes and we were the last to board, before they took off. Huge risk of missing the flight altogether."
Anyways on time and excellent service
Considering I cancelled the flight 2 months ago -- I would have to say the communication was poor -- since I continue to received updates. I say poor since Kayak seems not to want to respond to me to reschedule a flight -- they hold my voucher -- so I can not do it on my own --
Did not have a good experience. They gave us connecting flights from London to Washington and then to Atlanta just because their flight was delayed from Hyderabad to London the flight from London was missed and even though it’s not passengers fault they had to suffer as they couldn’t give direct flight from London to Atlanta. And for vegetarians food is also so pathetic they need to have more vegetarian options as cold sandwiches is not a good option in winter. And just think how they feel if they have to be eating 3 cold meals for 24hrsin winter.

With the price of a ticket more than Emirates, KLM and other airlines, always really suprised the overall crappy hardware, infrastructure on planes etc. When can we get a decent plane to fly the long haul flights. And an actual entertainment system like to competitors?"

Cons: "There was an abusive passenger sitting behind me that kicked my chair the entire flight. They were angry that they didn't have more space and that I wanted to have my seat back. I offered to put it up during meal times to make sure they had enough space but that wasn't good enough. The crew knew what was happening and tried to get the other passenger to stop but the passenger persisted. The crew refused to upgrade me even though I had paid for an aisle seat and there were no other aisle seats available for me to move to. I find this service unacceptable. I probably won't be willing to fly BA again as they obviously care more about money than ensuring their customers are comfortable."

Cons: "Ordeal at Heathrow of going miles up and down, taking two transports and having to go through full security again for connecting flight. Checked in 24 hours to connecting flight to London or 30 hours prior actual flight from London. Airline indicated that plane had only one middle seat. Tried to get a better seat at airport, but BA ground crew did not even check and said flight was full. Yet my one of my fellow passengers was able to get window seat without extra pay 3 hours after I was denied. Sardine city for 7 hour flight that turned 8 hours."

Pros: "The level of service and appearance of employees. The entire staff was very attentive and offered assistance multiple times. The airplane was clean and kept at good temperature which is a plus because other airlines don’t put focus on this."
Cons: "Our seating could have been placed in a better range. We had a party of 4 (2 adults and 2 children) our seating was split sporadically, the 2 adults were split and placed in two different rows next to 2 other single individuals. The 2 children were placed in the back rows. Same rows next time!!!"

Cons: "After the entire flight was boarded & ready to go the plane had a mechanical issue before take off. Had to sit on the plan for 90 minutes before we were allowed to exit the plane. No other flights available For family of three until 3 days later! Had to demand to be transferred to another airline so my family & I can go home the next morning. Overall stuck in SNA airport for 8 hours. Didn’t get a refund for baggage, instead was given meal vouchers for the airport in the morning. United did provide hotel for the night but nothing special. United staff where nice to make the best of the situation."

Pros: "Delays because of fires , had to wait in line close to 90 minutes but when we finally reached the ticket counter the agent moved took great care of us and we made to Boise only an hour late even with all the delays and confusion . Excellent job , one of the better customer experiences I’ve had flying !"

Cons: "Flight was 1.5 hours delayed with no explanation or communication given for over an hour. Uncommunicative crew."

Cons: "The crew at the gate was really rude. Zero customer service. She raised her voice at us and another customer who was charged $50 for our carry on. Not only was the flight delayed for over 2 hours. We were not informed that we could not bring a carry on even when we were at the main entrance with an agent for over 30 mins when you entered the airport. All their staff needs new training everyone kept on giving us a different answer. We asked because of this delayed will our room be comp due to the fact we will be missing our connected flight. On the phone the agent said yes. When we got to the airport that agent said no. When we got on the plane that agent said no. When we landed in Denver that agent comp our room. We ended up booking a room making sure we had a place to stay at night. It created more work for us because we were trying to cancel our room took even more time. Definitely wanted to give United the benefit of the doubt that they were at least at the level of American Airlines. The last time we flew United it was delayed for 8 hours they ended up canceling the flight. When we called they said it was the weather and we told that agent it's mechanical issue because we are watching someone remove the engine. We will stick to American Airlines. Free entertainment."

Cons: "Crew member working at the gate told the lady next to me "get in line if you'd like to complain" regarding the continuous delays. Crew member let us know that united was aware of our delay ed take of 4:05 rather than 1:00pm several hours before yet, We were only informed through notifications in increments of 30 minutes. be transparent with your customers, the delay would have been much less frustrating had we known. Instead notifications every 30mins were teasing us that we're about to leave but it's clear united had not intention of taking off. Also crew member on board serving beverages "I need your money" is an extremely unprofessional and inappropriate way to ask for a card."

Cons: "That my return flight was canceled with no notification after I missed my first flight. I ended up getting a new flight and was never informed that my return flight was cancelled there for when I got to the airport to return home I had to buy another $600 ticket. After buying a new ticket when I missed my first flight (my fault, I know) but I really think I should be compensated for this inconvenience and the lack of notifying me whatsoever."
Cons: "We were in first class first row, the crew kept talking and laughing during the entire flight (this is a 5 hours flight and we landed at 5am). Loud and banging the trolleys (why, everyone is trying to sleep!). We asked them to not speak as loud, but to no avail.... asking for a glass a water was a no no, you could clearly see they were not there to help you... The entertainment system was a vintage tiny TV which did not work well anyway (loss of image...). The seat was half broken. Not sure where the first class experience was. United please do something... Start first with your employees. Send them to Southwest for training..."
Cons: "I thought it was ridiculous you had to pay to watch tv despite there being a monitor in each seat. That was the first time I've encountered that on a flight."
Cons: "Both flights were delayed, and was charged a $200 oversized baggage fee for a bag that actually isn't oversized according to the measurements on the United website"

Cons: "After zone 2, no passengers were allowed to carry on the allotted amount of luggage. Boarding took a long time, passengers were rude, and the gat agents didnt notify anyone of the flight status until 30 minutes before boarding time. This changed three times."
Pros: "Being a red eye, they were too busy congregating among themselves and chatting away.. when requested for a beverage, the service was as though they were doing a big favor and the guests on-board were disturbing them..!!"

Cons: "The check-in staff was dismissive and unhelpful when I arrived past the 45 minute bag check cut-off time due to traffic. No help getting a bag check refund even though I paid for it a day early. Come to find out that the gate staff was courtesy checking everyone's bags anyway, and they took it with a smile. Those fools at the front were content to take my money and tell me to somehow mail my luggage to my destination (not possible since the flight was boarding in 35 minutes). There needs to be communication with the check in staff regarding courtesy check ins."

Cons: "Sat and listened the WHOLE trip except when drinks were being served to the private lives of the flight attendants. The didn't pick up trash so everyone had to place their ice and semi full drinks in the nets when it got bumpy for the landing. I watched the flight attendants the whole time- they got paid to converse about everything- here is proof- one flight attendant was complaining that she only had 4 days of vacation and that she never gets called to work- I think I can guess why- and that she has talked to Kaitlyn- I think that was her bosses name?? But she wasn't given more hours. I wish I had ear plugs. The African American lady was so unkind and uncaring. She scollded another African American lady for coming to the back to throw away her trash. She hurt the lady's feelings and made her mad too. The folks on the plane seemed to be too much of a deflection to their personal conversations, but they were successful at ignoring everyone. We had to be careful to not spill liquid on our carry on etc and not hit the cups and such with our knees on the way out. I usually fly Southwest and want to write a letter telling them how great their service is! I apologized to the cleaning crew as the flight attendants told us to not worry about our drinks"the cleaning crew" will get it. How unprofessional to treat others that way. Stop talking! You can get A WHOLE lot done when you aren't sharing your personal life and opinions with each other!"
Cons: "Gate was changed.. Delayed one hour"
Cons: "Having to board and put away carry on thinking the flight will depart soon and then finding out within 15 mins when everyone have boarded and settle that the maintenance delay requires that everyone must evacuate the plane with their carry on luggages. We waited at the gate for nearly 2 hours because the flight clerk told us not to roam far due to continuous updates... It started out as a 30 min delay and ended as a 2 hour delay with gate and plane changes. Had we known it was a 2 hr delay we would have been able to go use the restroom and go eat in between without worrying that the flight will depart."
Pros: "The seats were large and comfortable"
Cons: "I had to ask to get a drink, and was never offered food. Granted it was a red eye, but I was never even offered a cookie. I expected more after paying for first class. Plus, since it was an older plane, it didn't have the power ports they advertise. The guy sitting next to me didn't want to watch tv, but it didnt work and the screen wouldn't go off. They didn't offer him anything as a apology."

Cons: "Every time I fly United, I realize they shrank the seat size, again. Oh, and the flight attendant spilled my drink on me. Only said, "sorry, buddy" and then got me a couple of napkins... Was friendly other than that, though. O.o"

Cons: "We had to land in San Antonio due to bad weather (understandable), but the customer service was appalling. They kept passengers on the plane for 3 hours and 45 minutes, which is prohibited by federa law. They failed to provide additional snacks when the passengers were on the plane for over 7.5 hours, and made it seem like it was such a nuisance when we asked for water. They were able to pass out one cookie by hour 6 but the flight attendant made it VERY clear that they had to do "so much paperwork" to get it approved. The flight attendants were rude, inconsiderate, and when asked what the game plan was after our 4 hour delay, their response was, ""not sure, not my department." If they didn't have answers, that's fine, but the manner and careless tone in which they replied was inconsiderate and insincere. When we finally landed at our half way destination in Houston, the flight attendant made a comment about how she can't get home due to all of the delays without considering that half of the passengers had the same dilemma and paid hundreds of dollars for their flights! The flight attendant had no empathy or respect and I would NEVER take this airline again. We spent the night at the airport and are still trying to find a flight to our destinatiom in New York :("

Cons: "Waiting in S.F. for flight to board. Crew announces flight will be 1 hour and ten minutes late. A few minutes later, announces the pilot is on his way and may be a half an hour late. The gate number was not announced until about a half an hour before boarding. We finally boarded and was told that co-pilot was not at airport. It was a terrible experience with United."
