Cons: "I did not enjoy the turbulence, which I suppose is unavoidable. More importantly, I felt quite guilty about the greenhouse gas emissions of my flight. I have decided to cut down on my air travel as much as possible as a way of reducing my carbon footprint."

Pros: "We are guessing they either overbooked or they didn't have sufficient passengers on a Tuesday afternoon who's final stop was Glasgow. They rebooked him for 1200 the next day. DFW to MN, St Paul to Schipole, Amsterdam to final destination, Glasgow. So he ends up having to pay for another Lyft back to our apartment in Dallas, then another additional one for the 12 noon flight the next morning. If he didn't have family living in Dallas, he would've incurred a hotel fee too."
Cons: "He was bumped to the next day due to his flight being cancelled. Then re-booked the next day, with an additional layover. Then due to a 32 minute layover that left 3 minutes sooner..."

Cons: "I paid almost $400 for upgraded seats. When I got to the airport-- no seats-- both ways!! i didn't even have regular seat assignments. I had to choose from the last few seats available. The ticket agent, the gate agent and the cabin crew all did nothing to make up for the fact that their system screwed up and stuck me in a cramped coach seat in the back of the plane for 11 hours-- TWICE! Beyond that, KLM must have one of the oldest fleets in the sky. Both ways LAX->AMS->LAX, I was on a 30-35 year old 747 with no wifi, no power and a ten-year-old entertainment system. Never again."

Cons: "Seats on the 777 were too narrow. This 777 had a 3-4-3 seating arraignment, it would have been better with a 3-3-3, similar to a 787 configuration. With the current layout, even with an aisle seat, I was sitting in the aisle. And I am not a large person! The flight was full, so use the 787 and two daily non-stops. For a twelve hour flight, the food was only Okay, could have been better and with a better selection. Meal timing was poor."

Pros: "Of the multiple international airlines I recently flew with, I would have to say KLM was by far the best. Relaxing atmosphere, comfortable seating, great in-flight entertainment, although I have the go-go in-flight data/entertainment plan with t-mobile (highly recommended), the flight included a decent selection of movies, television programs, etc. The food far exceeded typical "airline quality," even for an international flight - and included a fabulous little snack box with locally sourced gourmet and specialty items such as chocolate from Belgium, fine cheeses from France, and crackers from England. Drinks = gratis, and crew was exceptionally attentive and went out of their way to make flight as pleasant as possible."

Pros: "Efficiency and speed of boarding was acceptable. I have no complaints about that aspect. The Comfort+ seats were worth the upgrade, pretty comfortable and reasonable legroom unless you have a big carry on stowed under the seat in front of you."
Cons: "The first announcement they made to all of us in the economy section was thay they did not have any headphones for anyone but business class. I was told when I booked the seat that the headphones would be complementary. So I did not bother to bring any assuming they were going to keep their word; I figure I'd make it work and watch a movie without sound. If that isn't bad enough midway through my nine hour flight my monitor went out and would not turn back on."

Cons: "I paid extra for a window seat, but due to the poor alignment of the seats with the actual windows, I actually sat next to a wall! Nol much to see out of a wall. If KLM are going to charge extra for a window seat, then they should make sure there is a window there! If the seat had actually had a window it would have been an excellent flight."
Cons: "Since we had two extra bags (paid for in Chicago), they demanded to see my receipt before we could board in Amsterdam to Nairobi. We had trouble locating the receipt and we were not given an explanation as to why we needed it again. We were traveling with 5 kids including an infant and we were not allowed to board until we found the receipt. I thought surely they would have record that I had paid, but I guess not. We were the last to board and all very stressed out. The staff seemed not to care the least in our troubles."

The flight was business-like no nonsense, yet friendly (the crew saying hello etc). It seems like the crew is very focused and diligent. I was impressed that the ground crew texted me that my luggage had arrived from a previous flight!
Cons: "The gate changed twice and the plane was a little cramped and not full. A smaller more spacious plane would have been more comfortable experience."

Cons: "If flying within the States we used United Airlines; a partner of Air Canada. The flight itinerary changed numerous times before our departure, including two days before we left. The change added an additional layover, and put us at our destination nearly 6 hours later than out original booking. This meant we lost a decent portion of the first day of our honeymoon. However, we were forced to stay an extra day when our return flight was cancelled. After spending 8 hours in the airport we were informed that our Monday flight was cancelled, and the next available flight would not be until Wednesday! United Airlines let us down on the way to our destination and on our trip home. Air Canada was great, but I dread having to use their partner United Airlines."

Cons: "I haven't made it there yet. Flight leaves 4PM Friday. Mechanical problems in Chicago so was put up in Hyatt and I am at the airport now waiting to fly out at 4PM today."

Cons: "My flight was changed and I did not receive an email or any notification. The woman at MIA airport was rude and made it known she did not care. She said it was canceled due to weather, but weather in Chicago was fine."
Pros: "I overslept my flight and United was able to find the next available flight into Denver which helped me tremendously. The guy on the phone was very pleasant and helped so much."
Cons: "Boarding was disorganized and hard to understand. Flight was delayed because of paperwork that wasn't signed, which caused me to miss my connecting flight."
Cons: "I fly out of Halifax once a week and the flight has let 4 hours late two weeks in a row with out compensation. I missed my connection flight and was forced to sleep in airport. Never again Delta all the way."

Each one canceled then delayed then missed because of the delay and re-routed. It just seems like a free for all."

FA stated that the issue couldn't be fixed since i didn't notify them while we were still on the ground. Granted he was a friendly FA, I was only offered a "wine" for my troubles. One FA was very rude. Seem like she didn't like her job."

Pros: "The attendants were absolutely wonderful and made our flight tolerable. Thank you again to the crew for working so hard and making our flight so much easier."
Cons: "Lack of communication - after we had checked in at the airport (under 2 hours before our international flight time) we were notified that our flight was delayed by an hour and 45 minutes. After waiting about 4 hours everyone started lining up in their respective rows and that's when the terminal United employees decided to inform us all that all passengers need to get in line at the desk first in order to get their passports inspected and get an approval stamp before lining up. Could have easily been done in the hour and 45 minutes of delay time we had. It's now 11:30 am, 2 hours past the original flight time and 15 minutes past the original delayed time, and we were all still in our respective lines to board the plane. The delay was due to the catering cart that had not yet arrived. So we were all waiting for about 30 minutes in line just to board the plane. During this time United decided to promote their Entertainment onboard and alcohol available for purchase once we are airborn. Finally when we were on board and about to be airborn is when the first apology was heard from the crew. This could have been managed much more effectively and professionally."
Cons: "Completely missed meeting due to 6 changes made during flight - Ask for a refund of some sort and non was given - not even air-miles or ticket recognition. Customer service from United was almost non existent. Will not be flying with united ever again."

Cons: "The flight attendant told me that I did not need to collect my bag in Toronto and that it would automatically be sent onward to Halifax. DO NOT BELIEVE THIS. All United passengers arriving in Canada MUST manually gather their luggage at baggage claim in Toronto and clear customs manually. ONLY Air Canada has this automatic option. Even if the United flight has an Air Canada code share United passengers MUST clear customs manually. How hard is this for flight attendants to understand?"

Cons: "Although I received a lot of flight info about my delayed flight I wouldn't receive it sometimes until right before the time changes. Also we were boarded and still sat on the plane and waited for almost an hour before leaving the Tarmac and received no reason as to why we're still sitting until over 40 minutes of waiting. Also the bathroom water smelled bad and it felt extra small."
