It's nice that they serve a complimentary meal on the red eye flight but the quality of the food was bad. Entertainment options were also limited although they had some recent box office entries from last year. The leg room also wasn't great but that's expected in economy I guess."

Cons: "Due to the construction in the airport, there is a small area for this group of people to be ready to board, therefore, it was very difficult to move or get around, Suggest that employees give more instructions about boarding procedures and suggest that people line up accordingly in the right order. They should explain the order of entry, and ask for people who are the last group to stay back so that those who board first are allowed through."

Cons: "Agent changed our flight to Munich and sent as a email with with confirmation on July 10. involuntary. On July 20. I checked Lufthansa app and found that only flight that was shown was flight Toronto-Thunder Bay. After 3 hours of phoning I found that flight from Munich to Toronto wasn’t available for date that was given us in email. Only option was day earlier or later. Left us to take day earlier and we could not changed last flight( Toronto- Thunder Bay). We had to come on Aug 22. and stay in Toronto for 27 hours and than take a flight to Thunder Bay on Aug 23. We lost a day of our vacation, had to stay at hotel. Not good experience at all. We still don’t know whom to complain about that."

The seating in economy (seats 36A and 36C and an Airbus 330-300) was generous compared to other airlines we've flown recently (e.g., on a 777 with United on the way over, and that was "Economy PLUS!). The food was much better than the United flight, and really, it was almost too much. I'm home 14 hours after landing and I'm still not hungry. They were also very generous with the drinks and worked to keep us well hydrated with water and juices. The crew was very pleasant and accommodating. Overall, it was a great experience and I will certainly look to Lufthansa first for my next transatlantic flight."
Cons: "My one gripe was that it was very hard to hear the audio on the in-flight entertainment system. I even abandoned one movie I really wanted to see because I couldn't follow the dialogue. Also, I discovered late in the flight that the view screen pivoted and this would have helped in enjoying the videos more. Here's an idea for Lufthansa: how about adding "Tips" to somewhere in the Entertainment system to improve your seat, viewing, and other experiences. For instance, I wasn't aware that the head cushion on the seats were adjustable to better support your head. One last thing, on the entertainment system, it appears to be browser based, but sadly lacks a "Back" button equivalent."

No support and very very uncomfortable, I had mid back tension pains the entire 12 hour flight."

But instead of bumping us like Air Canada, which does not care about customers, Lufthansa got a little van for our family of 5, took us through expedited passport control and helped us reach our flight. They have done a superb job and it is great to see an airline that has a very capable ground crew as well as air crew. Lufthansa made us feel like they cared about us and trust me traveling with three kids under 6 we very much appreciated it and they will have our return business!!"

Extremely poor coordination between KLM and Delta who operated the flight."

Cons: "Small planes are inherently less comfortable, but that just goes with the package. Nothing you can do about it."

Cons: "I do my best to avoid United because of the terrible service I seem to always receive, and this time was no different. After 3 hours of waiting for a delayed flight, I was 10 min late to my connection (United's fault!!) and forced to sleep in the airport over night. This is unacceptable behavior from any airline and only reminds me yet again why I do not fly with United. Worst experience."

Cons: "United sent timely notification that flight would be delayed. Sent no notice regarding missing connection in Chicago or rebooking the connection. The only notice that United automatically rebooked me was on the United app on my phone."

Pros: "The plane, crew and boarding was great, and the food and drinks were quite good. Legroom in standard economy class was passable for a 6'2" person."
Cons: "I booked through the United website as trip from US, have Silver status on United, and Lufthansa's policies of not allowing advance (1-2 mo before flight) seat selection (never on UA nor LH websites) are just horrible. Hard to get through on 800 number, and 1 day before trip answer was still to do it in Frankfurt. Economy plus was $1000 more/person, and even then no guarantee I could choose a seat far in advance. Then, at computer kiosk in Frankfurt, they had a wrong diagram of the plane,as we ended up on what turned out to be a no-recline row which I would never get. I'm 6'2", 230lbs, and wasn't able to sleep on that flight. Had I been able to reserve a seat behind a bulkhead or in exit row 2mos in advance, I would have been fine."

Pros: "The crew were always really helpful and kind. They were happy to speak English or Japanese."
Cons: "Despite stitching when I could and as soon as I could. Lower back buttocks hurt pretty bad half way through the flight. This is a knock on the airline industry and not so much ANA. Comfort levels start diminish when you try to squeeze as many seats as you can into airplane. Especially, for people like me who are at least 6' tall. Also, the food was very meh. This was surprising because all my other experiences with ANA were quite the opposite."

Cons: "The crew was haughty and rude, my purse was taken and stowed in overhead storage, the person sitting next to me wouldn't stow the carry on luggage. I needed to take my daily medication during the flight and was not able to. I have chronic health issues and needed to take it on schedule, I was delayed in getting home because I had to stop and eat in the airport and take my medication"

Cons: "Constant delays with this airline, I avoid it."

Cons: "my son was connecting in Newark, and they said they were holding the plane for him and 20 other passengers. when they shuttled them from one plane to the next, they got to the gate on the tarmac and the plane had already left. we had to drive 2 1/2 hours to newark at midnight to get our 18 year old son. when i called united about it, they said to write in on their website and i'd be compensated etc... 5 days later, haven't heard a peep. never flying united again...ever"

Cons: "I paid for Economy Plus. Once the doors closed a bunch of passengers decided to move up to the Economy Plus section without paying. The lead flight attendant made a tongue in cheek remark about it as the plane was pulling away but did nothing to enforce it. Not cool at all."

Pros: "Only good thing was the crew. They were good natured even though a roundtrio flight if six hours took 25 because of delay after delay"

Cons: "DELAYS. I had 4 flights within a weekend all with United and EVERY flight was delayed. The plane also heading to Newark ahead of us was overbooked and some people were pushed onto our plane, not a big deal if all can fit on the plane...but we wouldn't have if it wasn't for the delay causing those flying to Boston to miss their flights. Frustrating and adds an element of concern when faced with delays when the weather is fine. The internet on the plane is also confusing to use...should be clearer. Mistakenly booked my flight before realizing the new carry on policy, so trying to pack everything into a tiny bag to meet requirements was frustrating... definitely don't think I will be booking United again."

Pros: "First flight delayed once board to check a broken light. Then waisted 40 minutes taxiing on tarmac in Houston because they couldn't find a gate. Missed our connection. They put us up in a low end hotel overnight. Then we had our morning flight again delayed as we waited for planes to the take off, so further delays. Arrived in Costa Rica 1 hour late. Now with too many other flights so immigration packed and took another hour and twenty minutes (when we finished there was only a 5 minute wait). Thanks United"

Pros: "Seating done in orderly fashion. Person serving food was nice. Updates on delay due to fog were helpful and reassuring."
Cons: "Took a long time to get luggage. Also I asked a United person working in baggage claim that if and when my luggage arrived she would help me get my bag off. I had a low back problem. She said yes. Then when my bag came I asked her to help. She didn't hear me. She was busy talking to a coworker. So I had to do it, which made my back worse."
