Pros: "comfortable seats. Flight duration was good. Layover was little longer. Overall good experience"
Pros: "The entertainment was really good. The movie options were good. It was really nice that the movies were free. The pilot did a nice controlled landing and take off"
Cons: "N/a"
Pros: "Pilot does not waste time chatting. Still too much chatter (interrupting movies) but less than on other airlines."
Cons: "Entertainment system is Windows based and designed by a moron, especially CC behavior. Shows ads (LOTS) before each movie. Pops up window chrome every time you dismiss PA announcements. Very few movies/TVs (even those from the US) have CC."
Pros: "Entertainment was exhaustive and entertaining"
Cons: "Service was very poor. They missed servicing drinks when I was watching movie. Didn’t ask me. There was NO air freshener sprayed in this long flight. Overall service was very poor especially on my side of service at 32F."
Pros: "Friendly crew, delicious food and the entertainment was above board."
Cons: "n/a"
Cons: "Needs to be a bigger plane for such a long trip. Crew seemed like they weren't happy to be on the flight. One bathroom was out of commission for our 14 hour flight and limited our section of the plane to one bathroom. The remaining bathroom was very dirty and lacked supplies. When I asked for some help to have it cleaned, the attendant told me she would have to lock it down but there was already a big line of people waiting to use it. Disappointed in this flight because it was so long with limited facilities. Enjoyed other times I had used Emirates but not this time."
Cons: "cabin crew's service - men far behind women esp.when serving food. Not up to the mark."
Pros: "Excellent food, entertainment options, staff was great with the exception of one. Plane entertainment technology varies from route to route."
Cons: "Dubai airport is highly disappointing. The bathroom situation is atrocious! I am not exaggerating when I say I waited in line of 25 and 35 women two different times! The men’s situation isn’t ideal but is no where near the problem that is the women’s restrooms. The boarding process is mildly confusing - there is no public drinking fountains but if you buy water you are not allowed to take it to your gate. This info isn’t posted anywhere and makes no sense bc you purchased the water after you were checked through security. Also this rule truly only applies to women. A stewardess showed preferential treatment to someone who looked more native than us and then didn’t apologize. I understood the customer was upset so the flight attendant was trying to pacify the lady/couple but at least apologize for being rude. Dubai airport very much favors men and I would never travel without my husband. I would fly Emirates again but it won’t be my top choice and I won’t be going back to the Dubai airport anytime soon."
Pros: "I must admit....this is one of the best experiences I have had flying and I fly this route a lot. I was traveling with an Elder who required a wheelchair and every step of the way it was smooth and the crew was attentive."
Pros: "Crew, food, service"
Cons: "No respect from other passengers, lots of kicking seats, pulling on seats, babies crying. I will not take an Emirates flight from Dubai to Chicago again. I will choose another airline."
Cons: "We were delayed for an hour in London and then immigration and customs in Chicago were awful"
Pros: "They exceeded my expectation. The food. The crew. The comfort. I rarely slept on the plane. But this time I did. Wider leg room and comfortable seats.."
Pros: "Quick boarding, very nice crew. Helpful with infant. Lots of snacks good food."
Cons: "The phone, ground and flight crew, though impeccably polite at every turn, passed me from phone to service desk to gate for answers to questions about itinerary changes and seating upgrade until I just gave up. I tried changing my return flight to leave from London- that is, simply dropping the Newcastle/London leg, but went back and forth several times between you and the airline- then simply gave up, instead travelling back to Newcastle to then fly back to London. I then tried to change my seating assignment and the desk agent was unable to give any information about the cost of an upgrade. I finally found out that upgrades are to the cabin, not the seat so just stayed with my middle seat in coach for the 8.5 hour flight. It was puzzling that these issues were so impossible to resolve."
Cons: "We did not know it was Finnair until we got to the airport and could not find Brittish Airlines flight. This is on Kayak because none of your information indicated anything except a British Air flight. We asked several people and finally figured it out only they changed the gate at that point and we almost missed the flight after sitting in the airport for three hours"
Cons: "The seats were way too close. I even paid for an upgrade. My legs were get cramped and the width of the seats were awful!"
Pros: "entertainment options were good & staff was nice. Flights were both on time."
Cons: "I was very disappointed in the serious lack of legroom on the flight. I would think of a flight was 8 hours there would at least A little leg room. I paid for a seat and the lady next to me kept raising the arm rest and spilling into my seat. I had to lean over into the aisle and was miserable the entire flight. The guy in front of me also reclined his seat all the way and I couldn't get my tray down and it took a lot of effort to get out to use the restroom. I was beyond disappointed with how little leg room there was and I am only 5'6". I completely understand that more seats mean more money for airline, but this isn't even safe in the event of an emergency."
Pros: "The entertainment system & the food."
Cons: "The seating was a little tight and there was no lunch before arrival..."
Pros: "Fortunately, BA got us on another flight--so our vacation plans weren't totally ruined!"
Cons: "Unfortunately we didn't receive notification that the originally scheduled flight no longer existed. We had paid a higher price to use the regional airport. When attempting to check-in online, there was no flight. The new flight involved a 2 hour drive to a different and added 2 weeks of parking charges that we wouldn't have otherwise had."
Pros: "Crew was nice and food was decent. Flight left a little late but made up time in the air so arrived timely."
Cons: "Boarding was chaotic - after having first class and preferred passengers board, it was a free for all for all other passengers, which doesn't make a lot of sense and caused a long line. Due to a malfunctioning piece of equipment, the plane was about 90 degrees during boarding and while waiting for takeoff, which was pretty miserable. Temperature was fine after takeoff. The plane itself was very old, seats were cramped, and the screens for movies/tv (and selections themselves) were very poor, which is disappointing for an 8 hour flight. There were no power hookups either, which my Aer Lingus flight a few days beforehand offered. Finally, the passenger in front of me put his seat back while the plane was boarding, making it a struggle to get into my seat while boarding and to get out of it to let others in my aisle out from time to time for the restroom. Can't really blame the last one on the airline, but it added to the misery."
