10,0 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic little place! Stayed here with friends for a friend's wedding that was happening close by. Bedrooms were large and spacious and cleaned to a very high standard! The beds were possibly the most comfortable I've ever stayed in too! Breakfast was delicious too and all the little details that can often be over looked in small guest houses were on point! Would absolutely recommend and stay again! Thank you.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel itself is gorgeous, the rooms are large, clean, tastefully decorated, modern and comfortable. The bed was amazing, best night sleep I've had in ages! The hosts are the nicest people you could hope to meet, they greeted us on arrival, made us fresh coffee and offered to help with our bags. The breakfast was to die for, we both had the salmon and poached eggs and it was fantastic! Wish we could rate the hotel higher than ten!
Cons: There was nothing not to like, the only disappointment was that we only booked one night, wish we'd stayed longer in such a beautiful hotel!

4,2 Okay
Pros: Just pool and steam/sauna facilities The receptionist on arrival was polite and informative
Cons: Food was horrible, English breakfast was burnt, eggs benedict was industrial and disgusting sauce. Evening meal was industrial burgers and frites. Nearly all staff were students types and were not polite and were not organised. Double bed was 2 twin beds pushed together so there was a crack in the middle of the matress. The staff in the pool should have a better system and training, we put our towels and dressing gowns on 2 beds we were using and went for a swim in the pool upon which a student type staff took our towels/dressing gowns folded them and placed them Under the beds twice and so other people took the beds thinking there was no one using them, we therefore had no indoor beds to relax on and we had to leave to go back to our room, most anoying.
7,1 Good
Pros: Staff very friendly
Cons: Food was bland Staff not properly trained Service very slow and food cold when arrived
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Amazing hotel and spa - very relaxing and luxurious
Cons: All of the food was excellent and dietary needs were taken into account with alternative options given The spa is fantastic and a great place to relax and unwind
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is beautiful in itself, but every member of staff we encountered was so friendly, smiley and accommodating which made a massive difference to our experience. There were also a lot of nice little touches such as, we visited for my partner's birthday so they left chocolates, a balloon and a card on the bed for our arrival. We also had the option of a complimentary turn down service which was just lovely and also had a departure pack of some biscuits and bottled water. We ate in the Gallery and the food was amazing! Fine dining style, the price matched the high quality but well worth it. We also visited the spa for a treatment as well as to use the facilities, it was all fantastic and the staff were again, all so helpful and we came away feeling so relaxed. The rooms were also very comfortable and I had the best nights sleep I've had in a while! Would highly, highly recommend a stay here!
Cons: That we only stayed for one night!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing place. Wonderful spa. Very comfortable room
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Spa is amazing and staff very friendly
Cons: Slowness at bar in terms of delivery of drinks. Also left dirty glasses and dishes in table despite plenty of staff walking by!
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful touches. They laid some fudge on our bed and a welcome drink on arrival as it was our wedding anniversary. The food was wonderful and the staff pleasant and professional. The room was luxurious and endless supply of gaia spa products in the room and all around the hotel. The house itself is amazing and interesting with history provided. Arrived stressed and left totally relaxed. The spa is incredible with free flip flops to wear with luxurious robes. We are 100% coming back in the future. Was wonderful couple stay. Could not fault it. The only comment i would make is that there is free water to drink but it would benefit from free tea and coffee machines like other spas i have been to, in the relaxation area. Also more tea and coffee provided in the room.
Cons: See above
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Beds were good and staff really great
Cons: Could not control temperature of shower easerly.
2,5 Mediocre
Pros: Spa
Cons: Hotel was dirty and spiders and cobwebs everywhere and couldn’t even be bothered to reply to our email back to complain. Avoid! Or over spend load money for poor stay.

7,1 Good
Pros: A return stay to this hotel which is convenient for Plymouth yet on the edge of the moor. Lovely veggie breakfast served by the upbeat and friendly owner.
Cons: I was on the second floor this time, a larger room than the ‘Pixie Room’ I had been in before, but it felt a bit less bright and airy. I was woken at 5:15 in the morning by what sounded like a shower pump in a cupboard next door and this continued off and on until I went down to breakfast. On checkout I was told my neighbour had left their extractor on, but that explanation didn’t seem to fit what I had experienced.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Booked hotel very last minute, reception staff were accommodating and booked us a table in restaurant so we were able to eat. I don't normally like eating in hotel restaurants, was surprisingly good and great value.
Cons: Nothing really, was only one night stay.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: Worth the effort driving to the hotel. Good views from hotel. I like the fact hotel is independently owned and run and not part of a chain. I liked the attention to detail and super friendliness of all staff. A well conceived and well run hotel.
Cons: I didn't like the fact that the mattress didn't have a mattress protector. I didn't like pixie figurine in bedroom - looked spooky.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Everything about the stay. The staff very friendly and helpful. The room cosy & comfortable, The steakhouse food was excellent.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: The staff were fantastic and very helpful from start to finish. I asked for a room that didn't allow dogs as I am allergic to some and we were given a room with a lovely view overlooking Dartmoor. The menu in the restaurant was very varied with some things you don't get every day like venison and swordfish and the food was very good quality.
Cons: The rooms are a little outdated in décor but the public areas were very nice. The look of the hotel on the outside doesn't really do it justice overall.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff, great view, nice food and great room

7,5 Good
Pros: The room was large and the well decorated. The hotel is 300ft from the Hoe and the views from there are spectacular. There is a great curry house down the road. The breakfast this morning was moreish,
Cons: The bed base was too hard and the duvet was too heavy for the time of the year.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Really good breakfast and delivered very promptly
Cons: Room just a foot too short - no room to pull chair back.from desk, so had to squeeze legs over and between chair and desk top
7,1 Good
Pros: The room was fine, clean and decent bed but I get the feeling as a solo traveller I'm discriminated against i.e climb up 5 floors and lump it I guess I won't be using booking.com again as you seem to get the s**t one -> Grosvenor you are still getting my hard earned cash which you took when I booked tbf
Cons: Breakfast was v.v. poor overcooked bacon (which i hate) Sausages were v. cheap chipolates not the local sausages I have had before & burnt toast. Poached eggs were fine but overwhelmed by the rest Needs (considerable) improvement as I was early and they weren't rushed I know I should have complained at the time but hey I was busy and for £90 I expect a decent breakfast not one I could have done a lot better

7,1 Good
Pros: This is a great hotel in a beautiful location.
Cons: I was unhappy about the £12 charge per night for pet dog with no warning until check in. The reception manager took my details and said I would receive contact from the manager. I have heard nothing. Very poor, I paid in full but was not happy. It's wrong to contract at £150.00 per night and then hit the guest with additional unplanned costs.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The music room is outstanding, our bed and linen where beautiful, we had a 3 course meal sadly my meal was drowning in garlic, everything just tasted of garlic. We are having our wedding at the two bridges and we are so happy with the venue

8,8 Excellent
Pros: Staff were attentive and helpful, despite being very busy with a wedding party that was there at the same time. Food in the restaurant was very good, and the chef was able to meet our specific dietary requirements. The room was cosy - the double bed was not a large double, so a little bit of a squash when compared to the king-size bed we are used to.
9,6 Excellent
Cons: Restaurant service can be a bit distracted
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The food was excellent and the staff were friendly and helpful
Cons: The light above mirror in bedroom was not working so had to use bathroom one for makeup etc unfortunately there isnt enough shelving i. Bathroom. Also complementary bottled water would have been nice the first night in the room. Nothing major, we would definitely go back there.

Pros: The adjoining rooms were great and the bed was very comfortable. The fact that there was an iron, hairdryer and lots of biscuits in the room was an added bonus! The meal in the evening was exceptionally good.
Cons: The bathroom needs updating.

Pros: Bed was really comfy, and it was lovely to wake up to the sound of sheep in the field opposite.

Pros: Room lovely, view very good. Staff friendly and helpful. Beautiful grounds. Main meal on evening was very nicely cooked, if a little pricey.
Cons: Food a little pricey, £7 for a dessert (essiette of chocolate) of two little chocolate things and two blackberries. No choice of bar meals as stated on hotel website. No teabags in room and not enough milk. Bread used for toast was cheap and of poor quality. Noise late into the the evening from other guests nearby.

7,5 Good
Pros: Reception and bar area nice.
Cons: Rooms tired and in need of urgent update, bathroom small with shower in bath positioned close to the toilet which made access difficult.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Great location and friendly staff. The highlight was definitely the breakfast. Fantastic variety of food with amazing views over the Hoe. The swimming pool was clean and inviting. Overall a very pleasant stay.
Cons: Some areas of the hotel were starting to look a little tired and could have done with a spruce up. The room, although good, was just missing that something extra that you expect when you pay this price. We also selected a double bed when booking but upon arrival found it to be 2 singles which were not even lined up together properly.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Great location for The Hoe and on to The Barbican. Powerful shower and good night's sleep.
Cons: Better selection of fresh fruit at breakfast.
5,4 Okay
Pros: The view was outstanding - position of hotel was excellent. Staff in Drakes Bar were excellent and service in Drakes Bar was very good. The parking was convenient.
Cons: The service - which is not at all good and in fact terrible for a 4-star hotel!! Seriously understaffed at times. We had to wait at reception for over ten minutes to check in after a tiring journey. We had a further long wait (more than ten minutes) to be served with a drink in the Penthouse Bar - this was because there was only one server trying to pour drinks for a rush of customers at the same time as seating people in the Marco Pierre White restaurant and also taking food orders!!! Breakfast was not much better as although it was only averagely busy, we had to ask twice for a pot of coffee. We stayed for three days and for two of those, when we returned to our room in the afternoon, neither keycard would work. We were told at reception that this was because we had kept them near our mobile phones (not true!) and the next day we were just told it was bad luck!! The exception to this was Drakes Bar where the service was good and the staff were cheerful and very helpful! Our room - which was classed Executive- was not particularly welcoming or comfortable. It was large, but there was nowhere comfortable to sit. The shower room was tiny and the door on the walk-in shower leaked seriously all over the floor, so much so that the water ran out onto the carpet in the room and had left a large stain. It was difficult to find somewhere to leave a towel where it wouldn’t get soaked - likewise if left your PJs on the floor whilst showering!!
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was nice and quiet, the view from the room was very good and the bed was very comfortable. We didn't use the bar or the restaurant so can't comment on those.
Cons: The bathroom was small and the bath was fitted with shower screens at one end and the toilet cistern was tight up to the other end which made it very difficult to get in and out of the bath. In addition this seemed to make it difficult for the bath to be cleaned, which consequently made it slow to drain.
6,7 Good
Pros: Lovely restaraunt on the penthouse floor Marco Pierre whites restaurant nice atmosphere Hotel was clean and tidy
Cons: The bed was really hard and so we're the pillows I was on the 6th floor I was told it was the quiet floor but this wasn't the case noise from outside and noise from others coming back from the bar early hours of the morning
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Very nice room, executive room got access to VIP lounge with complimentary happy hour drinks and continental breakfast, but sky TV was intermittent with faults all weekend, very noisy doors for neighbours and took 20 minutes of constant calling to get room service one evening and ended up having to go down to reception to sort it out. If these things were sorted then a very desirable romantic stay with sea views.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable bed. Good location.
Cons: Thought the price a little expensive and breakfast at the price charged should have been included. No booklet in room to see what services the hotel provided and Sunday morning the phone call to reception took ages for them to reply.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: The Sea views from our room were fantastic. A very bright large comfy room The location of the hotel between the seafront and town centre was really good.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Amazing breakfast, excellent location.

6,0 Good
Pros: The hotel location and sea views from the restaurant pent house were excellent. The staff were very friendly and more than helpful.

Pros: Great breakfast. David & John were most accomodating. Good location for Tavistock, Plymouth & Dartmoor, so all tastes covered. Facilities provided for recycling, so leaflets & plastic bottles etc. weren't just put in the rubbish, which is so frustrating. Also they use Fair Trade products, which is a plus. Fresh milk provided for the tea/coffee in your room. Comfy bed.

Pros: Fantastic hosting and breakfast - the best breakfast I have had when staying away for work, hands down! Nice selection all excellent, fantastic eggs benedict! Wonderful room, what a view :) nice to have on-site parking, and David and John couldn’t have done more, they were such warm and welcoming hosts. If I ever travel here for work again (Tavistock) I will always try and stay here. Perfect!

Pros: This is a very happy establishment which contains half a dozen or so rooms. Our welcome was friendly, our room was spotless, the bed comfy and the shower strong and hot. Breakfast was delicious. Down the road (a five minute walk) are a couple of pubs which were great for dinner....the London Inn serves a wonderful beef and ale pie and The Leaping Salmon's food was amazing! There are some terrific walks on Dartmoor, a short drive away.

8,3 Excellent
Pros: How quiet it was
Cons: Just need up date some area of the hotel
6,7 Good
Pros: Location, comfort of bed and breakfast all matched 3 star expectations
Cons: When we arrived after a long day of travelling and working on a buy to let property we own in Plymouth there was no hot water to have a shower or wash , after visits from reception and security staff to our room , calls were made to an engineer who gave instructions to sort problem in boiler room ,eventually he had to come out , and after a two hour wait from when we went to use the shower the problem was sorted, staff were helpful and very apologetic . Sadly the hotel lacks refinement as all dining rooms , and bar area are cold in decor and comfort, although as it’s a golfing hotel that’s to be expected as I suppose it was designed by a committee.

Pros: On the first night I arrived, I drove past a deer as it wandered peacefully through the hotel carpark. I dont know why but this left me with a great first impression.... the hotel didn't disappoint where do I begin? the grounds and location are stunning. the hotel is beautiful. the room was big, well equipped and stylish, the gym was great, the food was decent, the price was a bargain. possibly the best hotel in Plymouth in my opinion. just book it. p.s. I would definitely stay again.
Cons: noisy person in room next to me. After a polite word he turned the tv down.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: I was spoilt and upgraded to the Bridal Suite - what a lovely room. Two chaise longue for relaxing, a huge four poster bed - bey windows giving plenty of light and a great view over the golf course and countryside. Spa bath and a big shower. Ideal for my day of 'brain switch off' and chilling out. If tis was where you spent your wedding night you would not be disappointed in my view.
Cons: I love it here - really friendly staff, rooms accessible, I like the menu and well stocked bar and winelist.

Pros: I liked the variety of foods at breakfast
Cons: I felt the mattress was poor and too soft in the bedroom
6,7 Good
Cons: I, David Briers, through my own fault, left my walking stick behind. The staff found it but wanted £15 to return it. I wasn't too impressed with that service - having spent £700 there on one week

Pros: Foods good rooms good bathrooms good. Staff helpful with my fussy kid at breakfast
Cons: Nothing
4,6 Okay
Pros: ok
Cons: This was part of weeks holiday in France. the week before our stay I drove up to future inn so that I was familiar with the route (the car ferry would arrive late evening and we needed to stay in Plymouth before continuing our Homeward journey) We got to the hotel ok and decided to have lunch. We were there maybe 2 hrs and then went back to catch the ferry to France. On arrival home after the holiday I found a letter demanding £100.00 (ONE Hundred Pounds!) for illegal parking at Future Inn !) Our lunch (see above ) was now costing £142.00 ! ( including coke AND J2O). NOW at no time in that brief first visit did any of the restaurant staff or reception where I had a brief conversation to confirm that I would see them in a weeks time did anyone tell me to REGISTER my car number. Nor did I notice any signs . Note we were not staying the night this was just a brief visit . Naturally I have written a letter to the manager. I shall keep you informed. But I definitely cannot recommend this place.

9,6 Excellent
Pros: Great location and clean. Plenty of space. Shane was VERY helpful and friendly!!
Cons: Nothing
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Spacious, clean and comfortable room. Coffee, tea, biscuits and water provided free of charge in room. Bed and pillows were very comfortable, had a great night's sleep. Plentiful free parking.
Cons: Restaurant food was basic. Had dinner there and it took over an hour for food to arrive. We weren't asked if we wanted dessert or coffee. Breakfast was okay with good choice but probably not worth the money paid.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Comfy beds
Cons: Price a bit high for mid week
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Good parking, Good location to visit Plymouth & surrounding area. Good modern hotel with all necessities & decent size room with two double beds. All facilities of good quality. Did not use hotel dining/breakfast.
Cons: Bed could be better. Still good but too bouncy; so if one is a light sleeper, then could be irritated by partner's movement.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Room and bed comfortable
Cons: Reception said cot was in the room, and it wasn't, so we had to come down again. Then after a drink at the bar we were phoned to say we had to visit reception again to pay for it. Then the preordered breakfast through booking. com wasn't recognised by staff.....
