Cons: The ONLY thing we didn’t like was the day of check out. It’s the day you’re traveling home and you tend to want to sleep in. There were 2 female and 1 male housekeeping staff that were talking and laughing outside of our door. We hoped it would stop after a few minutes and it didn’t. It wasn’t until I opened the door and looked at them, that they walked away. I didn’t say a word, but they immediately stopped talking and went down the hall. We were in 105 and checked out on 1/16/20

Cons: The only negative for our trip was unrelated to the hotel. Some of the restaurants were closed for remodeling and/or for the month of January - understandable considering the time of year. We just didn't think ahead!

Pros: We had an awesome 3-day weekend stay here at the Comfort Inn. For the most part, everything was great overall. The room was bigger and more spacious than I expected- and there is a microwave in the room which I did not know or expect. The room and bathroom was clean and comfortable to use and the beds were comfy to sleep in although I did not use the sheets provided (I always just bring my own). The property is in a great location both in town and the town of Williams itself. Access to the parking lots and on-site amenities is easy and good. The complimentary breakfast is wonderful. Some might say there is not enough options, but I think it's better than not having a complimentary breakfast at all. The variety of foods allows you to find something different to eat every day and I appreciated the coffee available throughout the day. The cook who worked weekends was very pleasant and helpful during breakfast hours. The breakfast room can get crowded at a certain time, so to avoid the congestion we started having breakfast earlier which was great since the room opened at 6 o'clock. The temperature controlled indoor swimming pool was a plus, especially in the winter as my kids went from playing in the snow to swimming in the pool. It's an easy distance to both Flagstaff and the Grand Canyon- but especially Bearizona. I was completely satisfied with my booking and will definitely come back to stay here again.

Cons: The front desk staff were very detached both upon greeting and at every encounter as if- if they didn't have to speak with you they wouldn't (and this goes for up to 3 different women I saw up front). The TV in the room had very poor quality as if watching from an aged television set- which sucked when trying to watch at the end of a long day out or while getting ready to leave for the day. On our first day there was an unpleasant smell in the room- not sure if it came from the heating/cooling unit, but I went and bought a scented candle to mask the smell because the smell disturbed me in my sleep through the first night.

Cons: The sliding front doors were inoperable during my stay. So picture prying open elevator doors (jamming your fingertips into that crack and pulling them apart), and you'll get the idea of what guests had to do. Speaking of staff, they were nonexistent for almost ten minutes as I stood at the front desk waiting for someone to show. After about five minutes (and a few rather loud calls of "Hello!"), I phoned the hotel. The front desk phone rang and rang right in front of me, and I could also hear a second phone ringing in a back room somewhere, but they both rang and rang for the two minutes I stayed on. No answer, no answering machine/service. Very frustrating, to say the least. Once I was checked in, the rest of my stay was pleasant enough.

Pros: Very nice Inn. We were on our way to the grand Canyon's South Rim and stayed at this hotel for the night before. We got the chance to see the place still in it's Christmass decoration surrounded by snow which was really nice! The Inn is conveniently located by the Highway interchange but far enough not to be disturbed by the traffic sounds. The rooms were clean and well maintained, had hot water at high pressure and airconditioning heated up the room on this cold January night with no problem. Staff were welcoming and helpful with a smile.

Cons: Be aware, there are no TV's in the rooms and there are no refrigerators in the rooms. If you don't mind sitting downstairs with other guest to watch TV, that is an option and there is a communal refrigerator to use, which would out fine for us. But because we were there in the winter it was really cold and because the bed sheets were made of non-natural materials, they were full of static electricity (one could hear popping noise when moving in bed), we removed most and spent a really cold night (got us both sick).

Cons: The bedspread is white. If linens are white then they should be kept immaculate. A little bleach goes a long way. The Canyon Country Inn is an older style building but this is no excuse for poor housekeeping. There was grime along the floor boards and corners, and the shower head has rust colored water deposits. I would suggest removing items that have no functional value and detailed housekeeping into the cracks and crevasses at least once every 2 weeks depending on traffic. Inexpensive improvements can be made to create a more inviting feel.

Cons: It was super cold during the night. We had to ask for extra blankets, which where not very clean (lots of black hair on them) and we also put on two extra layers of cloth. The heater was so loud that it was no option to have it running all night and it also did not work properly. In the morning you had to be really careful while walking to the reception for breakfast, as it was super icy on the parking lot and in front of the reception. Several people fell in front of the stairs, because it was so slippery and the recpetionist did not care at all. However, the rooms very quite spacious and otherwise acceptable in terms of cleanliness. The price was also very low. Williams is a very cute town and the motel is situated very central.

Cons: Weird smell that went away when we aired out the room. The waffle irons at breakfast need some non stick spray. Waffles stuck so bad they were shredded. Ac took a long time to cool the room and it wasn't that hot outside.

Cons: Freezing cold room. It was 14 deg when we arrived and the room never warmed up even with the heat set on high. Huge drafts coming in from windows. Plus we only had a very thin blanket on the bed, and no bedspread or anything. We hardly slept because it was SO cold. DO NOT GO WHEN ITs COLD!!
