Pros: Friendly Hills Inn is an older motel that has been very nicely updated with quality materials and attractive decorations. Our room was nicely equipped with a microwave, small refrigerator, and coffee maker, plus an iron and ironing board, hair dryer, TV, etc. The queen bed was comfortable. The air conditioning worked fine, but was a noisy unit in the wall by the door. The office people were very helpful - especially with the wifi system. We would be glad to stay here again - and they said they are in the process of updating the wifi system.

Cons: We found the wifi at the hotel to be very annoying. Though it functioned well once connected, it required a 2-step process every time we left the room and returned, and each morning - going to a website and entering a password there. We stayed 4 nights, and this process got tedious. The hotel does not offer any breakfast (and has no space to gather for one).

Motel 6 Los Angeles - Whittier is located near area restaurants. Play golf or go shopping only 7 miles. Medieval Times and Irwindale Speedway are within 12 miles. Amenities include an outdoor pool and free Wi-Fi in all of our modern rooms.
