Cons: The interior is quite outdated, the furniture not just the 1980' s style, but actually from that time. I am travelling with my daughter, who is a minor, and during check in process the receptionist told me that I should have the documents proving that I am her mother ready to show at the check in. This wasn't their policy, he said, but...Why mention it, if it's not necessary?? I have travelled many times with chidren, and I am asked to provide documents when we exit our home country, but never so far from a hotel receptionist. Very unpleasant first impression. The breakfast is very expensive. It is simply not worhty to pay 50 Euros, especially when travelling with a child. Fortunately there are plenty of nice options nearby

The hotel Malcom & Barret was renovated in 2017 and is located 5 minutes from the City of Arts and Sciences.
It has 168 single, double and triple rooms, equipped with minibar, air conditioning hot / cold, free wifi, 40 "Led TV with international channels, safe, magnifying mirror, desk, bathroom with shower, hairdryer and amenities.
The hotel Malcom & Barret offers a restaurant service with buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner a la carte and a design bar where you can taste our specialties.
It also offers rooms for meetings or events, a 24-hour reception service and luggage storage.

Pros: Really nice and clean hotel with nice staff. We were allowed to check in almost 1 hour earlier and even got a better room without extra price. Thank you! Breakfast was also quite good, I’m happy we booked the room with breakfast included. There are plenty of free parking lots nearby.

Cons: Our room was fairly dark, as the window opened into an air-shaft. But, as we actually got an unexpected upgrade to a bigger room than originally booked, I can't really complain.

Cons: Our room was located in a separate annex building to the main hotel. The luggage lift was difficult to use, and we ended up having to pull our luggage up the stairs instead. The gym - we wished it was open earlier than 8am.

Cons: When I got to my room, the smell was just unbearable. I prefer not to use word to describe it, but I thougth I could die. When I came back to the reception desk, the fellows there looked at each other and said: "I told you. It's reaching the fifth floor". It took me an hour to get another room. No restaurant, no room service, no rooftop terrace. I moved to another hotel in the morning.

Cons: Very small room and very bad smelly bathroom. Towel hooks and holders falling off. Double bed was actually 2 single beds sliding apart, also not very comfortable ones. The spa area: for extra payment only and sauna was only warm, steam sauna - burning hot and also smelly, not worth going. Lightning requires bachelor degree in some scientific field in order to find proper scheme of convenient usability. Overall 4 star hotel felt like a cheap roadside hostel, won't ever return or recommend.

Pros: Mrs. Veronica during a check-out professionally asked if we liked the stay but I didn't want to complain experiencing a piece of professionalism :) A bus stop is next to the hotel, there are also supermarkets like Mercadona very close.
Cons: I found some hair in the bath when we come to the room, very disgusting Despite providing data for the invoice, I got the document without those data, they lost/ignored provided details. We had half board option chosen, in the restaurant when we came for a dinner we got information that drinks are excluded, so we ordered water and sangria. Day later we heard apologises that a waiter made mistake and we should not have paid for water (they didn't remove that water from the bill, it wasn't worth to claim). I ordered a beef (I speak both Spanish and English) and I got gnocchi. In the restaurant during breakfast they could not operate on time, there was a lack of food for long minutes, even there were many visitors it was clear that they did a mess probably due to wrong priorities.

Cons: The access although in a mall was up lifts -stairs and not well signed. Only 1 lift goes to the carpark and every ok next uses it.by the ti.e we got to the car our ticket was invalid. Breakfast was poor ,the fruit looked like it was chopped last night.on top of that an air freshener in the hall was so revolting it made you gag. It smelt like a cheap toilet.

Cons: The room was rather small, the bed could also be better. But the worst thing was the wait time to use the iron! One morning I had to go to work without ironing my shirt, though I had asked for the iron the previous evening. Please invest into a few extra irons, it can’t go on like this!

There was no way of just keeping the roll in the holder without it falling out on one side as there was nothing to stop it falling on one side. I think the actual room size was ok, tv could be bigger and the distance from bed to tv is big.

Pros: I liked the location near to the green belt that runs through the centre of Valencia next to those fantastic futuristic buildings-the ability to hire Bicycles and ride safely in the green area and also on segregated cycle pathways. Access to the main Beach and port and easy access to the old historic town centre. The hotel itself is medium to large in feel with plenty of facilities and efficiently cleaned. Tasteful modern decor -some might say leaning towards business but arty as well. Staff are always available and always helpful with excellent language skills (English for me)

Cons: Very dark in hallways making it difficult for older people and those with eyesight problems. No spare pillows or blankets or kettle in rooms, had to ask for these and they sometimes took a while to arrive. Only football on main screens in communal area.

Cons: 1. Misleading photos. We were informed on arrival that the indoor swimming pool which features heavily in their photos and advertising is not freely available for hotel guest use. It’s part of their Spa which costs €20 to use. The pool which is part of the hotel is on the ground floor, surrounded by apartments and buildings. It doesn’t get much sunshine (we visited in early November and had hoped to use it as the weather was 25-27 degrees and sunny) and it is not heated. 2. Minimal facilities expected of a 4 star hotel - no iron or ironing board, single beds pushed together instead of double/ king sized bed, no kettle or tea making facilities, no bath tub. 3. Our room and the floor was always hot and stuffy despite working air con. 4. Reception staff weren’t the friendliest and at times seemed unhelpful and unhappy. 5. It’s the type of hotel where escort service business cards were scattered in front of the door to the hotel. We saw the cards there on at least 3 nights of our stay and the cards were left there all evening. All in all, we would have preferred to stay at a 2 star hotel for a fraction of the price but with more amenities!

Cons: Breakfast while varied in content and range lacked something and I might have questioned paying for it every day if it had not been included in my deal - however l noticed a thriving bakery/cafe next door which would have done well if I hadn't selected breakfast. Other than that I will definitely consider it my first choice when re-visiting Valencia - which I think I well might!

Cons: This is essentially a 3 star hotel pretending to be a 4 star hotel and not worth the money. The room was spacious but had cheap MDF furniture which was in poor condition and pealing wallpaper. The SPA - 20 euros - is in poor condition, needs a re-fit, the sauna is the absolute worst one I've ever been in, and for some unknown reason it is mandatory to wear a swim cap, which if you don't have one - I didn't - they will charge you an extra 2 euro for the pleasure of a very uncomfortable one. The gym lacks equipment and what they do have is rusty and in poor condition, falling apart in some cases. The outside pool is tiny, not fit for swimming, and is right next to a four lane city dual carriage way so is noisy and polluted, not fit for relaxing either. The staff were generally unpleasant. Not a good experience overall.

We thought it was an off day maybe but again asked if they had a first aid kit which she turned around and said 'no' walking away. We were then told by another guest that a corner shop was around the corner. She was unhelpful and made us feel uncomfortable. Asked for another towel as only had one for two people and ended up asking a cleaner who was happy to help

Cons: The windows are not really sound proof and there was a school yard right next to our second floor window. Also, a beverage that we bought from outside of the hotel was taken on the first day of cleaning. After this we put our do not disturb sign and it was fine. Also, we left on a saturday morning. We wanted to eat before we left, but nobody told us that on weekends the food is served after 8 and not after 7 as during the week. Although we paid for that last day breakfast, we were not able to have it because of our flight.

The staff at the restaurant wasn´t enough and we had to wait a lot to get a table at breakfast. We had to complete the booking with another online payment or bank transfer, pretty annoying when we already completed the credit card details through booking.com website. We expected more for the money we paid.

Pros: Smallish hotel close to the Science Park (but not very close to town centre), which is why we chose it. Room was big enough for 2 adults and 2 teenagers sharing the sofa bed. Clean and comfortable. Breakfast was nice and included in the rate.

Location easy to find very close to an excellent designer shopping centre with a pharmacy and a large Carrefour supermarket and a short walk to the Oceanarium, science museum and arts complex. Good public transport links to the city and close to stop 4 on the blue (maritime) hop on hop off bus route. Staff very friendly and helpful. Quiet clean room. Secure underground car park on site for €15 per 24hrs.

Cons: One of the worst holiday inns I have ever been two very very small bed no safe in the room t.v as small as a computer monitor. Blow Dryer should be in the washroom was instead in the room. Plus no refrigerator in the room

Cons: Not sure I would have stayed here if it was not to go to the Science Park. There are hotels much closer to the centre of town.
