Pros: Breakfast was quite good but the tea and coffee were poor.
Cons: Bathroom floor always wet, shower seal not adequate. Difficult to climb into bath for shower as bath was quite high off floor. Had to get out of bed to turn bedside lights off. Bedroom chairs not comfortable. Long waits for orders for meals and drinks to be taken.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was set in a very central position within the idyllic village of Bourton on the Water. The staff were all extremely pleasant and helpful and the room was spacious and perfectly clean. There was a lovely bar and resting area with an Italian restaurant. The breakfast was superb and served by lovely staff.

8,3 Excellent
Pros: Central location, restaurant.
Cons: No cappuccino available for breakfast. I only eat toast for breakfast and it would have been nice to have a cappuccino with it. One waitress could not speak or understand English. Steep steps to bedroom and door to accommodation was off the car park and was left open which felt less than safe.

Serviced Guest Apartsuites The Unicorn - Cheltenham - Bedroom

Overview Reviews
Located in Cheltenham, Serviced Guest ApartSuites The Unicorn is within a 15-minute drive of The Model Village and Cotswold Farm Park. Featured amenities include express check-in, luggage storage, and laundry facilities. Free self parking is available onsite.
7,5 Good
Pros: Nice modern apartment near the centre. Very comfortable beds and nice touch of having things provided like milk for tea etc. Honesty bar a nice idea too.
Cons: The walls are very thin so you can hear everything in the other rooms. Underfloor heating was meant to be on but it didn’t appear to be warming as it got cool in the evening. Biggest issue is that fact it is on many levels and steps which was not clear enough- I checked it was in the fine print and it should be an alert when you are in “select room” page so you don’t choose the one with the most stairs! I just happened to have someone in my group who struggled with the stairs. Also the shower blocked and water not draining so this causes some issues - when cleaning they really need to ensure these are attended to.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Everything, location, cleanliness, comfortable beds, a little home from home. Danial was very helpful and pleasant.
Cons: Nothing, a little suggestion would be some bright potted bedding plants in the pots in the garden to brighten it up for morning coffee
7,9 Good
Pros: Location good. Kitchen facility good. Safe, easy to manage, easy parking. Well priced.
Cons: It was sparsely furnished and there were various things in disrepair. There were no mirrors in either bathrooms and only one in one of the bedrooms. Particularly hard to shave or put makeup on. It would have been nice to have washcloths, more hangers and more comfortable pillows. The town itself is very charming yet the vibe here lacked that feeling. Most issues could be easily fixed and not cost much $ to polish up a bit to give it a Stow-on-the -Wold feel.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect for a couple of nights. A lovely apartment perfectly situated and well managed.
Cons: Nil.
7,5 Good
Pros: Not applicable
Cons: N/a
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Everything
Cons: Nothing!
7,5 Good
Pros: Very spacious apartment.
Cons: The three steps down to the bathroom had no handrail. The narrow uneven stone steps gaining access to the apartment were a bit awkward to manage with luggage. Maybe the steps were mentioned in the advert but I didn’t notice. Also, no soap in the bathroom but there was shampoo, conditioner and lotion. Obviously an oversight but no one was on duty after 2pm so we couldn’t get any supplied.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Spacious and warmly decorated. Good furnace and oven available. Washing machine present. Large and comfortable bathrooms. Very soft beds. Also free parking. I wished we could have stayed longer!
Cons: You can hear the upper neighbors walk in their apartment. It’s all wooden floors. We weren’t bothered by it though.
6,3 Good
Pros: I like the location, parking, the size of the apartment and its facilities
Cons: The beds were not comfortable. One room's towels hang was cold.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Amazing location and super comfortable

9,6 Excellent
Pros: I had a lovely single room which was a nice size with good decor. The bathroom was just down the corridor and was only for me, it was lovely and helpful that a bath robe was included in the room. There was also a fan in the room which was amazing due to the hot weather. Breakfast was delicious and the staff were so friendly and helpful. I had such a great holiday.
Cons: The bathroom was quite small and the room faced onto the street so it could be a little noisy. Neither of these things were really negative, but might be something that other travelers would like to know.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: I loved the friendliness of the owners, they were very helpful and arranged for us to leave our car in a parking area after we had checked out so we could enjoy our day. 9,6 Excellent
Pros: Parking , superious and nice breakfast
Cons: Room was on top floor
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Great breakfast food - now self-service buffet (hot plate has bacon, beans, scrambled egg and sausage) rather than cooked to order as in previous years. Thus we especially missed the smoked haddock option and it would be good to see mushrooms and tomatoes as healthier alternatives to the sausages in the full English. That said, the sausages were excellent - locally-sourced and very moreish!
Cons: Walk-in shower appeared not to work so we had to use electric shower unit above the bath
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly and considerate. My wife and I had a great time. We haven’t done this before, we are almost 80 but it has whetted our appetite. As I’m recovering from mouth cancer and haven’t eaten or drunk anything for years, I don’t express opinions about food
Cons: No electric car charging point
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were all so helpful, and noticeably very happy at their work. The breakfast was very good, with excellent choices. The hotel sitting room and garden were were also very good. There was a honesty bar and refreshments area. This was a great addition at reasonable prices. The manager even arranged the booking for our evening meal out to a local restaurant, which was an excellent choice. Delighted with my stay, just wished I could have stayed longer. However if possible we will be staying again soon.
Cons: Unfortunately, It wasnt long enough.

Pros: Hotel was quiet comfortable would have appreciated a sofa or chairs in the bedroom to relax instead of sitting on the bed.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Luxury accommodation in amazing location.
5,0 Okay
Pros: Nothing..
Cons: Worn carpets and chipped furniture, marked and scuffed walls and cracked bathroom tiles. Non working TV and intermittent working kettle in room. Staff disinterested, rude and unhelpful..
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Quirky style which is different to standard hotels. There is no formal reception area which is unusual but refreshing. There are not many rooms so has a more homely feel with the stay. Staff were always to hand and very helpful. Room was grand style; high ceilings, sash windows, wooden flooring. Location was perfect - 5 minute walk to centre but in an upmarket residential area.
Cons: Unnecessary to have roll top bath in bedroom. No seats to relax on other than sitting on the bed.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The rooms were beautifully decorated, very clean and comfortable. Great value for money, we drove and we were helped out with free parking close by the property.
Cons: We were in a room on the very top floor and had to carry our heavy suitcases up a few flights of stairs by ourselves as there was no one else to do it.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Loved the bed. So comfortable
Cons: Shower could have been hotter
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Just lovely and clean and the staff are fantastic
Cons: Just Beautiful hotel
5,4 Okay
Pros: Evening restaurant service was excellent.
Cons: I had made the reservation late due to circumstances but the greeting on arrival was a little frosty - discount chain hotel greet you more warmly. I was shown to my room but it was al oat as if I was an inconvenience. The bathroom had a bulb not working, hair in the basin and one basin plug didn’t work. Overall I expected better and thought the place was overpriced and poor value for money.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: The best hotel and staff you could wish for
Cons: Nothing
8,0 Excellent
Pros: The location is perfect for a quiet get away in the Cotswolds, there are some great walks you can do from the hotel which is in a picture-perfect setting. The gardens are simply beautiful and we enjoyed exploring them. There are benches and a nice seating area at the front garden - a great spot for cream tea, although they had run out of scones when we arrived :( The bed was super comfy and the hotel décor is stylish & classy. Also nice use of space inside with several areas that had comfy sofas for sitting/reading/playing games etc. The welcome note to say Happy Anniversary and dog bed/food/treats/bowl etc in our room on arrival was a lovely touch. The evening food was delicious, good wine selection & friendly staff.
Cons: Our room on the ground floor was very hot and even with both windows open it was hard to keep it cool. The shower screen did a very bad job of keeping water off the floor - and you could see that it's been an ongoing issue as the wooden bath panel has started to peel quite badly. This meant that the floor got flooded after every shower unless you were REALLY careful - something that could easily be fixed (also might not be the case in the other rooms) The service was always friendly and welcoming but a little bit lacking in certain areas - we ordered a drink on the lawn and would have liked another but the waiter never came back to check on us, the same happened in the bar that evening. The lack of music in the bar made it feel a little awkward. Just some classy piano music or something subtle in the background would create a much better ambience. The cocktails in the bar were very disappointing - really lacking in creativity and taste and poorly presented. If you are going to have a cocktail menu and charge £14 each... make sure they are good! Overall I would definitely go back and 100% recommend it to others, but there are some small tweaks that could be made to make it even more special.

Cons: Our room was adequate but, for the price, could do with a makeover. I liked the fact that there was a mattress topper on the bed but was surprised by the lack of protective covers under the pillow slips and on the mattress itself.

Pros: Location, facilities and service were outstanding.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful property in a wonderful location.
Cons: Casual dining menu was not available in the evening in the lounge area .
10,0 Excellent
Pros: This is easily the nicest hotel I have ever stayed at in England, wonderful in so many ways and in an idyllic setting. The only comparison I can make is with the Lake Palace Hotel in Udaipur, India. Outstanding in so many ways!

Pros: The staff were very helpful and friendly. The accommodation was at a different site to the hotel which was a 10-15 minute walk. We would have preferred to stay at the main hotel site. Breakfast was very good and nicely presented.
Cons: The fact that we didn’t have accommodation at the main site, our other friends were staying there.

Pros: The location was quite nice--very walkable. Overall, the room was comfortable. Breakfast was really nice, but it would've been nice to have a croissant available. The staff was extremely friendly.
Cons: There was no top sheet or lighter blanket available. No wash cloths were provided. Although, there was room for an extra piece of furniture in the bathroom, there was no place to spread out our toiletries kit. There was no hook for our clothes or towels.

Pros: Ease of parking, and access to the pool, hot tub, sauna & steam room. Breakfast was good and plentiful with many options Golf Course looked good, but we didn't play
Cons: Third floor room with no lift. No signage for reception, just a couple of desks in lobby, which when unattended could be anything ! Day 2 bed made up with very creased sheets and without tucking in under mattress. One mini rubbish bin for the room. Shower head not high enough for a 6ft person to get under, hose not long enough. Hot tub foamed up when blowers were on, excessively so !

Pros: Location & setting is great
Cons: Drunken wedding guests straying from their end of the venue
4,2 Okay
Pros: Location was good: close to town.
Cons: Very noisy room: zero soundproofing meant we could clearly hear neighbours left, right and above. Plumbing also very noisy - we could hear every toilet flush and tap running. Bed uncomfortable. Tired and battered decor. Tiny bathroom (about the size of a telephone booth).
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly and helpful resto staff, and chef.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was excellent - probably one of the best breakfasts I have eaten at 4* restaurants, mainly sourced from nearby farms Nice swimming pool, hot top and sauna. Gym is also fully equipped and includes table tennis in the bar area (not a large area though, so not suited for professionals) Amazing view and surroundings Generally very clean Great shampoo and shower gel provided.
Cons: Gym and swimming pool not connected to the rooms where the buildings are, so you have to walk outside to get there Not a big effort was made for any special occasion stays (other than a small card)
7,1 Good
Cons: Towels were taken in the morning and we then had to go to reception to get clean ones

Pros: It was very elegant and the spa facilities were just heavenly! Just what we needed to relax and prepare for the next part of our holiday.
Cons: Nothing comes to mind
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Luxurious facilities, in just the right location for us. Excellent spa and massage.
Cons: We didn’t find a lot to do in the environs of the hotel, but - with the spa and the croquet lawn - we didn’t really need to.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The whole experience to be honest: friedly staff, great breakfast (but no beans! Bad!), the spa was the best I’ve been to in any hotel, the room was superb and the whole place was spotless. Oh, and they actually had a chimney sweep whilst I was there- fantastic!
Cons: Nothing (except no beans!)
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Very close to where I grew up, it brought back lovely memories revisiting a gorgeous building in a very different way from when I was a boy in the Sixties and my dear Grandma was ‘Cook’.
Cons: Our only issue was with one member of staff. On two occasions finding her to be unfriendly, unhelpful arrogant and very unprofessional. Very unlike everyone else we encountered. To such an extent, my partner has written to your manager airing our dissatisfaction.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful building with history and character, great facilities
Cons: N/A
10,0 Excellent

10,0 Excellent
Pros: Fabulous hotel. Beautiful old English property, well maintained and decorated. Luxurious Spa -though be careful, you're expected to pay to use it unless you book a treatment. Staff are very friendly and attentive. Dinner and breakfast were both first class. We loved our stay there and look forward to going back.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Room, hotel and grounds, food and service.
Cons: Nothing
8,8 Excellent
Pros: I used to go here for Sunday lunch as a boy 40 years ago! Location just gorgeous and peaceful with lovely hillside views from the spacious gardens.... and the staff are very helpful and attentive. If you want to chill then perfect spot but do be aware that the town is driving distance. Great golf course at Cotswold Hills just a couple of miles away....highly recommend this (8 hcp). Good spa set up especially if weather good and you can sit outside in the relation area with a glass of fizz/jacuzzi! I used room service for dinner both nights I was there and the food/service was great.
Cons: Just be aware that this is a very old building so don't expect USB ports etc! No air con.....perhaps the hotel could consider the small portable units? Even worth taking an extension cable/multi-socket with you as my bedside plug sockets were the old round pins. Think they could discount the pool etc as pretty steep entry price if not having a treatment. Having said that my massage by Rocky was excellent and I made full use of the spa which was very good!

Pros: From the moment we arrived we received impeccable friendly service from all the staff. Lunch was especially memorable with delicious food beautifully presented. We can't wait to return.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was fine buffet area could have been a little more imaginative with choice of food.
Cons: Dinner was excellent , but as a sheep farmer I was dissapointed that the piece of lamb presented with my wife's meal had almost as much fat as meat. Might I suggest sourcing a leaner carcase hill lamb.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was perfect

Pros: Food was lovely
Cons: The halls could be decorated
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic all round
4,0 Okay
Pros: Clean room. Comfortable bed.
Cons: Breakfast is only served for one hour, and one particular member of staff essentially argued with me when I told her that it wasn't made clear when I checked in - she only said breakfast starts at 8:30am and didn't mention when it finishes. When the window for breakfast is so small, i think you need to make it clear to all guests on e-mail for example. We were in the Stables and not only is it loud until late at night due to guest, but it is also loud in the morning. There is also a gap in the door that allows sound through so double glazing might be needed. Thin walls - we could here our neighbours throughout.
7,5 Good
Pros: The staff are wonderful, friendly and accommodating. The rooms are great, comfy bed. Beautiful settings and would definitely recommend.
6,3 Good
Pros: Breakfast and locality
Cons: The smell of dog in our room. Musty smell in restaurant. Room was a little tight. I thought it was quite pricey for what it gave

Cons: Fantastic place. Fabulous location.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The room was amazing. The location is wonderful
Cons: Evening dinner and menu could be much better. Car park was full when we arrived because there was a wedding in the Manor House and they had parked at the pub. Had to put cars outside our room, then at 7:30am we were asked to move them for the bin lorry. For such a lovely place this was a big let down.

Cons: The only thing that was missing in the room was a bathrobe which I would have liked.

3,8 Mediocre
Pros: The actual hotel itself was in a gorgeous setting and the food in the hotel restaurant was lovely.
Cons: The room was filthy, years of stains and build up of grime, cobwebs, bugs, leads hanging from the tv. The tv didn’t work, no clean towels at the pool, dark room , bathroom was disgusting. Didn’t replenish the coffee or the flannels, no hairdryer in room. The duty manager the morning we left was entitled and frankly rude!!!
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Great location, beautiful surroundings, nice spacious rooms, friendly staff. Breakfast buffet was one of the best I've seen. Nice outdoor pool. Very dog friendly with huge fields to walk the dogs and staff very welcoming of them.
