6,0 Good
Pros: Location, price , staff, big rooms, great breakfast.
Cons: Showers are turned down to luke warm with No way to take a hot shower we wont be back, we had two other families in our group with the experience. We stayed in a suite and the the hotel had no blankets for the couch bed. Luckily we brought our own.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Historic property. In-room fireplace was a very nice touch
Cons: The room I paid for was not pet friendly and I had to downgrade. Was not happy about that.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: It was quite. It was clean.
Cons: Paid for 1 room and given cheaper room because I had a pet. Then charged a pet fee per night.
5,0 Okay
Pros: It was fun and different.
Cons: It wasn’t that clean. And the windows weren’t very well locked shut and some could flip it open and come in your room if someone really wanted to and when traveling with small children that is a bit scary. Also had to end up paying more once we got there because when I put in 4 adults and 3 a children (all under 7) it brought up a 2 bedroom and I missed or didn’t understand that they won’t let 7 people stay in a 2 bedroom. So we had to end up getting 2 separate rooms and paying a couple hundred extra. Which was frustrating whenever you have a budget planned.

Pros: Cute, comfortable, clean, excellent breakfast
9,0 Excellent
Pros: This is a very history hotel. The building is unique and reflects the local culture through its architecture. They have a bar, lounge and restaurant attached. The room price included a nice cook-to-order breakfast along with a buffet.
Cons: There was a low volume high pitched ringing noise in my room at night. I think it came from the water pipes because it came from the bathroom. The sound would come and go. I used my earplugs so that I could sleep. Otherwise, it was a very nice room.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Spacious rooms and beautiful view from the patio suite. Daily supply of wood for the fireplace, amazing free buffet breakfast, delicious dinner, excellent location, everything you could need! Comfy beds, cable TV, good window units. We loved watching the groundhogs pop up on the property, we played boce ball, our dogs had plenty of courtyard space to stretch their legs. Staff is polite and helpful, treats you like family. Love this Place!! Will be back again.
Cons: Rooms weren’t vacuumed during our stay and showers weren’t as clean as I prefer, mold and stains, broken handles. Nothing major considering all the extras we received.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was great. Our room was perfect for a family of five. There were 3 beds, a king, queen and sofa bed.
Cons: The hotel facilities need to be updated.

Heritage Hotels & Resorts embodies the best that New Mexico has to offer: a timeless, rich blend of cultures. Native American, Mexican, Spanish, and the cultures of the American West are celebrated in beautiful spaces, alongside the indomitable spirit of the peoples, past and present, who have shaped our landscapes.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: The property itself was exquisite. The room, the pool and landscape was utterly gorgeous. Very inspirational. The staff was great as well, especially the valet.
Cons: The food was very "meh". I would have expected much more from the mac and cheese than a bowl of Kraft mac and cheese. ....As a mom, its easy to spot. The beer was flat as well. The salad had a generic sugary raspberry dressing. Its a competitive food world out there, so I think Monte Sagrado could do much better. The music in the bar was really youthful and felt like a bad night club. Staff was fine though. Everything else in the resort completely made up for the experience though!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Peaceful and beautiful grounds.
Cons: No
1,0 Poor
Pros: The grounds are amazing. They have this cotton trees releasing this bits of cotton in the air constantly like if you were in a magic place.
Cons: They change our room and we have to sleep in a folded bed. AC not working. Manu change for the worse and 'red flower' toiletries accessories replaced by some average ones.
9,0 Excellent

Pros: Beautiful location and grounds.
Cons: Room was tired and very poorly lit. I requested light bulbs be changed 3 times and one never was fixed. Service in restaurant was extremely slow in evening.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: This hotel is an oasis of luxury set in a very small town in New Mexico's northern mountains. It's location is perfect--the grounds of the hotel are lush and beautiful, and the interior design is excellent.
Cons: The hot tub in my suite was dirty. There was a strange thumping noise all night long that kept me awake. The doors of the suite did not properly lock. I felt somewhat unsafe.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was very welcoming. The overall design of the hotel and rooms is high-end and fitting for the region. The in-room experience is comfortable and luxurious!

2,0 Mediocre
Pros: The location.
Cons: The staff was useless. The cleaning person left our door OPEN while we gone skiing all day. Didn’t replace our soap or toilet paper. The shower had HUGE CLUMPS if someone else’s hair. The service in the restaurant was AWFUL. Never got served
7,0 Good
Pros: - The pool is open 24 hrs and the water is very warm. - There are nice "period" touches such as brass sink and hard-wood bed frames. - The rooms are larger than the usual rooms of hotels/motels of this type. - The default check-out is 11 am.
Cons: Our expectations were not met. The hotel does not deliver. We traveled in January. Maybe, it is a better lodging option in the summer. - Nowhere in the description on booking.com it was made clear that rooms are in separate buildings from the main building that has a pool and a restaurant - if we knew, we would not book this option in the cold winter traveling w kids -- using pool was extremely inconvenient. - I am not a light sleeper. The heaters (necessary during cold weather) were so noisy even I had issues sleeping. - Many rooms on the first floor, including ours, have windows that face pathways - there is little privacy in the morning. - The pool does not have a changing room, showers, or hot tub. The air temp in the pool is low, which makes it even worse. - While property tries to present itself as upscale-ish with art and period decoration, the basic maintenance is lacking. E.g., the soap bars they placed in our room were broken into small pieces; the space in the bathroom ceiling where light ball used to be has not been covered up or masked, the cheep wood is used for shelves, etc. - There is no room service. The phones in the room have buttons for guest services and dining but none works - there is supposedly no phone in the restaurant altogether (and they would not deliver). When we went for breakfast, kids pancakes took 40 min to be prepare and were overfried. - The staff appeared overwhelmed and unprepared as if management did not know the holiday season was upon them. Both requests we had to front desk (e.g., towels) took unreasonable time to be fulfilled (and both times, it took few attempt to reach front desk.) - There was no love. I walked to the front desk and ask for the towels (needed to bath kids) - they could not just give them to me, they "had to send an engineer." When I asked for a late check-out, the front-desk needed an authorization from management, which is ridiculous corporate inefficiency (I did not insist, 11 am was fine).

Pros: The bed was comfortable. Stand for luggage. Refrigerator and microwave included in room.
Cons: This place felt unsafe. It is not a nice hotel. I got out of the car and was greeted by leering men who whistled at me. Their group grew and they continued to whistle at me every time I left my room. Guys outside hung out in the parking lot making noise most of the night. I had until 11 am to check out. Housekeeping entered my room at 8:30 am without KNOCKING. I asked them to leave, and they came pounding on my door a few minutes later demanding to know when I was leaving. Really rude. The parking was not at all convenient to get to my room on the second floor. I had to park on the other side of the building, walk quite a ways and drag all my bags up a flight of stairs, which were icy. No elevator. No help. This was advertised as walking distance from downtown, but it is not. Advertised a pool and hot tub which I never found. No stores, restaurants or anything within walking distance. Bathroom was pretty gross and needs updating. Coffee maker was from the 80s and did not work.

Pros: The charm and unique history behind this property really made the stay memorable and quite special indeed. The location and access to all Taos has to offer made the stay even better. The staff was super friendly and the hotel was extra clean.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Staff went out of their way to help in a very unusual time with the coronavirus causing so many disruptions in society. They did all that could be possibly hoped for during such a time as this.
Cons: Out first night, we were the only guests in the Hotel. The second night, another couple stayed also. However, we thought it a little unusual that they were put in the room right beside ours when the hotel was otherwise vacant. Anyway, no big problem or issue with that.

Pros: The staff was very good and location excellent
Cons: I thought the price was high for the quality of the hotel, the room furnishings, and amenities for the Taos market. It is not a good value. The evaporative coolers were too noisy and we had no control over cooling. Bathroom needed pull/safety bars.

Pros: Free Starbucks coffee from the cafe (although at times there was a very long wait to get it). The floors in the room were wood.
Cons: There was no breakfast in the morning. The room was small. The temperature control was regulated from the front desk on the 1st floor and we were on the second floor. Thank goodness for the overhead fan over the bed. I would'nt stay here again.
7,0 Good
Pros: The hotel was in a great central location and the staff is very accommodating, but be warned it is located in the Plaza which is very noisy starting early in the morning (around 7 a.m.) and into late evening (11:30/ midnight).
Cons: If staying for only a night, this problem may not be an issue for you, but my husband and I stayed in the hotel for 5 nights in a room without a dresser. We did have a closet to hang clothes, but had to live out of a suitcase which is not ideal.

Pros: Loved the DH Lawrence exhibit and the historic surroundings
