The location was great. There is just short walk to Taos plaza. There is a big parking area and it is fairly easy to get into and out of.
The facility was old and has not been remodeled, at least not the part I stayed in. In fact, there was a whole section that was closed completely. The room was not clean, with some wall repairs with just mud on them, no painting had been done in a very long time and old carpet, tile, everything.
Rooms were spacious and mostly clean.
Advertised hot tub was not in working order. Lounge not open. No native dancers like website said. Hotel was also more run down than pictured although it appeared they were working on things slowly.
Very large, comfortable room with a separate space for dressing and storing travel bags, etc. All rooms are the same size -- with a choice of a king bed or two queens. Don't be confused by "deluxe room" -- there's really no difference. Very good, new beds and bedding. Good TV, refrig, decent microwave, ok single-serve coffee maker. No problems with the shower. Friendly and helpful staff who let us look at three rooms to choose one we liked the best.
Absolutely filthy, stained, dark-colored carpet. It looks like the rooms they are selling have all been "renovated", which in our case was new tile around the bathtub and new beds and bedding -- that's all. There are so many other things that need additional renovation, like a toilet room fan or window, toilet loose from the floor, grout, baseboards, front door which sometimes didn't latch, perfume-ridden air (that new carpet might fix). In our room, these things were tolerable, but barely so. We paid about $130 which was probably too much -- shop around.
Even though my reservation was lost, the front desk was able to accommodate me.
There was a mix up on my reservation.
Need some upkeep badly windows on bathroom very poor shape no security if someone wanted in could push out plastic and duct tape with hand. This was the main problem otherwise everything ok
