Pros: Location was perfect just a few minutes walk to the city centre. There was a great hot breakfast and an ample offering of an English breakfast. Something for everyone.
Cons: Everything was great.
8,5 Excellent
Pros: Nice place. She cooked up a great Scottish breakfast in the morning. And she let us leave our luggage there while we went to the see the castle, so we didn't have to haul it around which was nice. Pretty much like a b&b. We enjoyed our short time there.
Cons: Had a little bit of trouble finding it on foot from the bus station, as there's some round abouts and foot tunnels on the way. She complained a bit that we didn't call saying we were coming lateish but we didn't have a phone that worked there and things just took a lot longer than expected to get there and find it. (We had been up all night with flights so we were pretty tired though).

Pros: Old historic building formerly a boarding school. Very central. Great food.
Cons: Nothing
6,0 Good
Pros: The food was delicious. The restaurant and reception staff were lovely and very welcoming.
Cons: The room itself was classed as deluxe and we failed to see it..I would have thought all deluxe rooms would have at the minimum king size beds and the bathroom was very run down for what I would expect . Think the decor was tired looking and in need of an update.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Great hotel. Love all the tartan and the pictures of stirling. Staff are very friendly and helpful The location is great. Just up the road from the bars/restaurant’s and close to the castle too
Cons: The pool/jacuzzi area could be bigger
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Would but be suitable for anyone that requires a lift but if you don’t mind the steps it’s fine. Lovely character to the building and history. The location was fab but again halfway up a steep inclined road. Anyone unfit or frail might find the walk back up to the hotel from the shops a bit tough.
Cons: My husband felt there wasn’t enough food on the plate with his steak. Also after 11 you need a card registered to pay for drinks. There was only one staff member behind the bar which also too bar food orders so very slow.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Great location, good big room, staff were good, helpful and friendly enough.
Cons: The bar area is a bit untidy with armchairs ripped and bar cluttered with dirty glasses. Room was dated.
7,0 Good
Pros: Breakfast was good with a fair degree of choice Central location Staff by and large were pleasant Check in lady was accommodating and efficient Bath as well as shower
Cons: Parking was a real problem and eventually I was allowed in a disabled space. Also I almost got blocked in. Young man operating the bar in the evening seemed distracted and slow Building needs some TLC-A few leaks although rain and wind exceptional Not to do with the hotel but the road closures were a real pain to getting to the hotel.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: this hotel was unbelievable. I would not have been able to afford this hotel without the booking.com deal. hotel was exceptionally clean and tidy. staff all friendly and happy to help in anyway. free use of the facilities which was great. lovely big pool and sauna/steam room. The staff were also very accommodating as I had to cancel and rebook 3 times due to illness.
Cons: There was no mention when I booked the deal that it only included £50 towards dinner. This became an issue given the fact that the food prices at the restaurant are very expensive. £125 for 2 starters, mains drinks and 1 dessert. However the meal was excellent so I was happy to pay it. Just think that should have been a bit more prominent in the wording at point of sale.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: From the moment we arrived the staff were very friendly and welcoming especially the gent in the kilt who gave us our very well informed and lively tour (think his name was Dave?) Room was very comfortable and food in the Lounge was very good and the service from the gents who were the waiting team was impeccable. nice selection for the children’s menu also. Breakfast was AMAZING! Great choice and well prepared. Pool was an added bonus! Will definitely return in the summer. Thank you for a lovely stay!
1,0 Poor
Pros: Nothing to mention
Cons: The road access to the hotel was closed due to flood , we reached up to Aberfoyle and could not get into the hotel .The staff were fully aware the that the road was closed. I wish the staff could have contacted me about the road closure via phone or email , then we would not have made the wasted journey, we could have alternate arrangements for stay somewhere else .
10,0 Excellent

I have to say thr 2 girls who work the lounge work very hard and could not have done more friendly fantastic service a real treat and you come away truly relaxed and well.looked after

Pros: Comfortable stay, nice food.
Cons: Roads were flooded so was quite stressful getting to the hotel. Hard to get hold of staff. Were told that it happens a lot but that wasn’t communicated when booking. Finally managed to get through on a back road but a lot of staff hadn’t made it in so the facilities weren’t open. Food was very pricy and with the weather no other option.
