Pros: This is what a B&B should be like: very warm welcome. Nice room. Great Breakfast. And a lovely „living room“ to do some reading or just to relax. Best B&B during our Scotland trip. We will be back! (Not only because of the extra tea cakes we got ;) )

Pros: The property was very clean and stylish with lots of little pleasant extras. The rooms were really thought through with very comfy beds and a great bathroom. The hosts really did think of everything and were so welcoming and inviting. The lounge was perfect for our family to chill out and enjoy the evening after a day spent exploring the nearby area. I will definitely stay here again and plan to when I book my next trip.
Cons: There was nothing I didn’t like or enjoy about the property it was all above expectations.

Pros: I'm traveling around Scotland with my Mom and Gran and we had the pleasure of staying for an evening at The Old Pines Hotel. The staff are so lovely and welcoming, the family room was spacious and comfortable with a large clean bathroom, and the food was amazing! The scenery is stunning, and there's a large field across the street with wooden steps that take you up and over the fence so you can explore the paths. It was really amazing!
Cons: We had a bit of trouble finding the location - but after a quick stop for directions, we were good to go!
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is beautifully designed and the atmosphere is warm, welcoming and relaxing. Our room, as well as the dining room, had a stunning view of the surrounding mountains. Although not extremely varied, breakfast was excellent: a few options but selected, high quality products.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was one of the best I have ever had anywhere and the location was stunning, to look out onto the mountains and access to really good walks was ideal as we were travelling with two dogs. Attention to detail was excellent, the hotel thinks of everything, from the welcome homemade biscuits, real milk in the flask, to the emergency tooth brush and toothpaste already in the room. We have recommended this property to friends who will be travelling in the area next year and planning our next visit.
10,0 Excellent
Cons: Fantastic hospitality, lovely food and great location. The staff couldn't have done more, fantastic service.

Pros: It’s a divine location, the window views from the dining room are magnificent. It’s small, quiet and super clean. W event off piste a bit with the menu and it was no problem. Lots of vegetarian choices as well as meat and fish.

Cons: 1) it would have been nice to have a wider selection of buffet food for breakfast (not everyone likes a cooked breakfast) 2) we would have hardly watched it, but a TV in the room would have been appreciated 3) the corridors were a bit chilly

Pros: The only room we could find
Cons: Was very small room and bath
5,4 Okay
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Diane was incredibly rude and gave us a very unpleasant welcome.
5,4 Okay
Cons: Shower cubicle had mold on the grouting and there was damp in the corner. We think the host could have made more welcoming and could have more of an effort with our breakfast arrangements. We had emailed over a month before our arrival requesting an early breakfast. We were told that it could be arranged. When we arrived we were told breakfast wasn't available. It was only when I told our host I had arranged this online did she offer us cereal. We didn't take up the offer and left early. What a shame as the reviews were great. Overall not a really bad experience but not somewhere I would recommend or return to.

Pros: The staff were very helpful and accommodating. Great breakfast. Fabulous shower with great water pressure. Lovely decorated room.

Pros: We got in very late and was shocked at the view from my window in the morning! So beautiful. Staff was also extremely friendly!!
Cons: I have no complaints. It was wonderful. I did wish there was a washcloth in the bathroom.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: A perfect relaxing weekend. Fabulous location where you can look out across the loch from your huge cosy bed. Immaculately clean. Food was all delicious and the staff were all friendly and super helpful. Under new ownership and just reopened in October 2019, it has been refurbished to a high spec, lovely decor finished off with quirky eclectic touches. Just when we thought it couldn’t get any better a pine marten put in an appearance on the terrace during diner.
Cons: The wait until we can go back for another stay!
5,0 Okay
Pros: Hotel design lovely. Food great and spa was super.
Cons: Being chased to our bedroom to pay for dinner when we could have easily settled at check out. The room was far too hot and we had to sleep with the patio door open.

Pros: Amazing
Cons: Couldn’t fault except the winter menu was really poor so was the food which doesn’t compliment the hotel
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The renovation has been done stylishly and well with lots of little details. The views are sublime waking up over Loch Lochy and the staff are superb - non-intrusive but sparky and helpful.
Cons: No boot room for muddy boots from hiking

4,6 Okay
Pros: The commando museum
Cons: Everything else , very shabby , dangerous in places needs knocking down and rebuilding
7,1 Good
Cons: It is what it is !! Cheap clean warm comfy bed , good breakfast and nice bar . Its not 5 star but it's not expensive staff are friendly and helpful. I will be back thanks
7,1 Good
Pros: Due to a problem with the room we were moved to a lodge, it was very bright, warm clean and comfortable. The staff were attentive, friendly and handled the room problem efficiently. Thank you
Cons: The main hotel is a little tired looking, however the staff made up for this.
1,0 Poor
Pros: I was stuck in a tiny dirty room (31) above staff quarters who were having an all night Hogmanay party, never slept a wink, packed my bags at 5 in the morning and left, note on the dressers asking the quests to stop pissing in the kettle kaput me off making tea..... what a dive, save your money and sleep in your car.....
9,0 Excellent
Pros: We checked in really late (midnight) and out again early at 6.30. The staff were really helpful, confirming with us beforehand that this would be ok and waiting up for us to arrive when we were delayed by a roadworks detour. Nice and friendly and helpful staff.
Cons: Nothing.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: The property has definitely improved compared to its current rating. For one night stay is more than appropriated. Very interesting and carefully compiled exhibition about the commandos training and the monument. Worth to visit!
6,0 Good
Pros: This hotel is ideally situated for an overnight stop en route to the west coast / Highlands and Islands. The hotel staff were very friendly and efficient. We had the continental breakfast which was very good and we could have as much as we wanted. The hotel itself is extremely tired and old but I could not fault it for cleanliness. Our room was big with a small entrance hall with the bathroom off it and door into the bedroom. Extremely old and worn furnishings but bed was very comfortable: kettle worked so was able to have tea. I knew the hotel from passing it regularly so was not expecting a high standard of 'finish'. Overall I would say if you are looking for a simple overnight on your travels this, because of its position on the A82, is worth considering. It was in fact very busy with what appeared to be one or two coach parties.
Cons: Obviously décor.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Staff, food and beds very good. Room spaceous.
Cons: Bathroom poorly maintained with flaking paint and split, loose toilet seat. Poor shower with water escaping from damaged hose. Damaged dressing table with tape stuck along front.
