Pros: A fairytale location. Conveniently close to Kota airport but far enough away to feel remote. Excellent facilities, the food in the restaurants was amazing, excellent water sports available and activities both free and paid. Plus a private beach, just a 5min boat ride away. Heavenly.
Cons: Nothing
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We loved it! I went with an old friend and we had a perfect weekend. The service was fantastic, the resort was beautiful (and so was the beach), and there were just enough activities to keep us busy when we weren't reading by the pool. Looking forward to going back.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Had an amazing stay here! We're here for our honeymoon.. And it was a wanderful experience, the staff were super friendly and helpful.. They even give us extra and exceptional services for some of the delays.. It was really pleasant and nice resort.. The room is awesome as well.. We really enjoy ourselves.. We wish to come back again, our stay for 1 nigy is too short!
Cons: Beach is clean, but just water not as clear as other island that were further away..
5,0 Okay
Pros: Staffs - Every staff greet when they walk by. The food - The food in Fisherman’s Cove is great. The tiger prawn (Catch of the day) is the best.
Cons: The Room - When we arrived the reception, the staff informed the Kinabalu Villa (South China sea view) we reserved three months ago was not available due to hot water issue. They should have informed us earlier before we got there because we came here to see that view. Therefore, they said they have to downgrade us to Canopy villa (no sea view) with the agreement on refunding MYR $200 to us when we check out. Facilities - We rent the hydrobike that was additional charge and we paid full price in cash immediately. While we bike it far away from the shore, the chain of the hydrobike broke suddenly because of rusted chain. We had to drag the whole bike back to the beach by swimming that wasted our time. They need to keep up the maintenance! Trust issues - First, they promised to refund MYR$200 when we check out as mentioned above. They didn’t do that! When we looked at the bill summary, they still charge us the same price pretending we still stayed in the Kinabalu Villa which we didn’t. We had to ask them then they changed it. If we didn’t double check the bill, they would have charged us without letting us know. Seriously? In addition, they still charged us for the hydrobike rental even through we have already paid it in cash. We told them about it, they doubt us and they called the beach rental place to confirm. Then, they took the charge off. Again, they would have charged us already if we didn’t ask. If you go there, make sure to ask them to give you receipts of everything you paid. The under water view - Just don’t Snorkel in the there. There is nothing much to see.

Pros: The location was amazing. The staff we’re absolutely fabulous they attended to everything. Such happy memories.
Cons: Nothing
8,8 Excellent
Pros: We chose to stay at the resort at the end of our trip around Sabah as a treat - it was by far our most expensive hotel of the whole holiday. Paying those prices you do of course expect very high standards and the room, general facilities and friendliness of staff definitely delivered. It's a beautiful resort and the staff were all incredibly helpful, gorgeous water and setting. Loved the free yoga and meditation too.
Cons: Sadly, we did experience a number of issues during our short stay. Most of these were down to poor communication / booking systems at the hotel - this included our yoga booking not existing when we arrived at class (despite booking 2 days earlier at reception), the hotel mis-communicating diver numbers to Borneo Dream Travel for a diving day resulting in over an hours delay to the trip, our paddleboard booking also not existing when we went to pick up our boards (despite booking over 24 hours earlier), duplicate charges on our final bill at checkout which I luckily spotted and got refunded, and finally our luggage ending up at the police station at the airport (!) as the resort put our bags on the wrong ferry - despite me confirming 3 times which boat we would be on. A very stressful end to our trip. At no point were we offered compensation or any gestures of apology for these various issues - this could have been as simple as a free drink, but nothing was forthcoming sadly. Given the high prices of the rooms, food and drink at the resort, we also felt it a real shame that the ferry journeys and water sports equipment came at an additional cost (particularly when one of the paddle boards is missing its fin making it really hard to use!). It would have been nice for these to be free of charge - as they are at many other resorts.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: If you are on the fence about booking here i would say DO IT! We stayed for only 2 nights at the end of August. It was an amazing end to our travels in Borneo. Although we didnt get fantastic weather, there was still loads to do and the staff were so so friendly, the food was amazing and our room was just outstanding. wish we could go back and do it over!
9,2 Excellent

Cons: A little disorganised in certain areas. Wouldn’t stop me staying again though
9,2 Excellent

Cons: ~ Location a little far from the town, but easy to grab car (RM 8 to Gaya street).
7,1 Good
Pros: The name, garden and sunset.
Cons: Crowd with too many kids
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast is superb..! Room was nicely prepared, and the swimming pool is among the largest. There is also a nice mini water park for children. The resort area is very nice and clean. This resort is famous for the sunset view.
Cons: If you are only staying in room and don't use much of the facilities, then the room rate is not worth your money (its expensive). Can be a little too crowded at times, so if you want a private vacation with tranquility, this may not be an ideal place.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Double room much better compared to family room
Cons: Check in - although advised of early arrival
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Option to upgrade to tanjung wing $50 per person per night , sensational value.
Cons: Not much.
5,8 Okay
Cons: club lounge is poor and not valuable. breakfast quality is also not so good. I was not willing to have that.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was beautiful and spotless clean the rooms were comfortable and the amazing toiletries made it even better. The staff were so nice and welcoming especially in the club lounge.
Cons: There was nothing I didn’t like.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Fabulous resort and facilities. Wonderful and kind staff. So many things to do at the resort with daily activities scheduled for both kids and adults. Excellent breakfast buffet with a large variety of food. Large pool as well as kids pool and waterslides. Very good wifi most of the time. Top notch fitness facility with life fitness equipment. Very short ride to the airport. A short taxi into town that was very inexpensive.
Cons: All was perfect except for the dinner buffet. It was quite expensive and the food was a bit cold. My 8 year old picky eater couldn't find anything really to eat.

Pros: Everything, tho larger than I was expecting. The staff were outstanding and the service in the restaurants excellent.
Cons: Maybe a little too noisy and crowded at breakfast, having said that, the series’s still fantastic
9,6 Excellent
Pros: A big nice Family Hotel of the 5 star bracket. All amneties as expected. The Pools very best, since our kids could choose between 3 different Hotel Pools from the adjacent Sutra chain Hotels (Harbour).
Cons: N/A
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Pure luxury! A lovely base to explore KK from. I accidentally left my phone in a Grab taxi just before we checked out. The staff at reception together with the Help desk at Grab, and the driver herself combined to get my phone back to me. This was over and above expectations and much appreciated.
Cons: The only minus of our stay was the music blasting of an afternoon from the outdoor bar area by the pool...no-one seemed to be enjoying it except perhaps a few bar staff. It spoiled the lovely setting a little bit.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: We stayed 8 nights & overall I could not complain one bit about the Magellan. We did have a problem with the air conditioner in our room so they upgraded us for 5 nights in one of the best rooms. The original room was fantastic but the upgraded room was out of this world. Large bedroom & living area (separate) with an ensuite & a powder room. The staff go out of their way to make you feel welcome.
Cons: Only the A/C problem in the initial room. Otherwise it was sensational
10,0 Excellent
Pros: everything is just wonderful. definitely will go back there in the future. really recommend others to go there. will not disappoint.
Cons: none
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Reasonable price.
Cons: There were some ants.
7,1 Good
Pros: Lovely breakfast spread although the crowds were a bit daunting. We however always got a table quite quickly and ate to our fill. a good selection of facilities and activitieson site. Staff were very friendly and courteous. All the meals we ordered for room service were excellent. Housekeeping were excellent.
Cons: Cocktails and drinks at Nariks bar were terrible. Live band was great although could start earlier. Food at the bar was a bit disappointing. Property could do with a face lift as our room seemed to have seen better days. When we first enquired about tourist attractions and activities in the area, the receptionist told us there was no information about this...we later found a desk where we could book activities..was a bit surprising that the receptionist would not have know this. When we checked in,past midnight the day we arrived,we were just directed to where our room was and not escorted...the hotel is big so we go a bit lost initially.could have been helped. I think given the cost, the hotel can afford to polish up.
8,8 Excellent

Pros: The view, ie sea view was beautiful. The room was spacious.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: Neat clean and centrally located
Cons: Restaurants close too early
6,5 Good
Cons: I wanted to change my itinerary and bring my hotel stay a day forward, from the 21st to the 20th. I offerred to pay the difference in rate if any. Hotel staff told me they cannot do that for me as booking was made via a third party. It was actually made via a fourth party as Kayak outsorced it to getaroom.com. The actual helpline indicated in the booking email (469-675-5368) was possibly run by a fifth party. They were utterly unhelpful with my request to change the booking date by a day, even though I did offer to pay any difference in price. Rigidly cited some sort of policy. I went back to the hotel staff in person and tey also continued to refuse to help. The consequence was that I had to book another hotel for the 20th, did not stay at Le Meridien on the 21st and my money was wasted. I will not be booking via Getaroom ever again and I will be avoiding Le Meridien.

Pros: Big dormitory rooms and a very nice common area. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Breakfast is very basic ( toast and jam ) but didn't expect more for that value. Very clean and comfortable. Would definitely come back and recommend it. They offer tours like diving, snorkeling...
Cons: Wifi only works in common area.
7,9 Good
Pros: Good location and big common area
Cons: Water pressure was really bad and breakfast is really pour.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: This place ruled. The common area was huge and overlooked the main street; I had front row seats to the annual mooncakes festival celebration! There are great restaurants right outside the door. Serina on staff is amazing! I had no plan when I arrived in KK and she basically helped me sort everything regarding dates and activities. She booked Grabs, gave recommendations, and just chatted whenever asked. She made that hostel for me!
Cons: The beds in the dorm are extremely rickety and should be tightened up to not squeak so much. When the outside is loud you hear everything inside the hostel and your room.

Pros: Cleanliness and nearest with restaurant
8,3 Excellent
Pros: The location is great as you're right in the city centre with lots of food options close by; and you're right in the middle of the Sunday market as well. The room was huge but decent enough size, comfortable, and quite clean. The staff were all friendly and helpful.
Cons: Being the middle of the Sunday market is good but expect a bit of noise early morning as they set up. The city hall is next door so if events are being held, the noise can be a bit disturbing.
Hyatt Regency Kinabalu - Kota Kinabalu - Building

8,5 Excellent (3 842 reviews)

Overview Reviews
Hyatt Regency Kinabalu is a 14 story highrise in the heart of Kota Kinabalu city overlooking the island-studded South China Sea. Features a 5 story atrium lobby in the heart of of the business, shopping and entertainment district.
8,2 Excellent
Pros: Great front desk and concierge services. They were all very pleasant and helpful. The beds are meticulously made, clean and comfy
Cons: The room is comfortable and clean but needs to be updated. Eg the kettle & coffee making facilities were hidden in a drawer instead of out in the open for guests to see. If the staff didn't tell me about it, I wouldn't have known. The pool is also not great.
5,0 Okay
Pros: The breakfast that had a lot of choice and was really well presented. The location is good.
Cons: The hotel is dated and doesn’t look like what you see in the pictures. Probably were taken years ago. The room was not properly clean we founds hairs in the bathroom, the carpet was full of black spots, the mugs for tea where not clean. In general not a five stars hotel at all. Not good for the price we paid. Would not stay here again.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: verry good about sea side
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was good
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Great location, fantastic food, friendly staff, nice and comfortable room.
Cons: Some facilities are old and need renovation like room carpet
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Being near Suria Mall and the sea the location of the hotel provides both convenience and a great view. The buffet breakfast is a feast and the gym, though small, was sufficient for some exercise.
Cons: The hotel is clearly around for some years as wear and tear is showing on parts of the furnishings. The pool was beautiful but pool etiquette should be enforced. Fully clothed bathers were observed and one even had her shoes on.
6,7 Good
Pros: The staff - very good and very helpful at every turn.
Cons: When you come to a Hyatt you don’t expect 1 pool light out of 8 to work, and the carpets on the room floors to be very dirty - sadly thus is a Hyatt in a very old and tired building and Hyatt have stopped investing. I paid for a 5 star and got a 3 star.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The views, locations, breakfast
Cons: The carpet need to Change dzul
5,8 Okay
Pros: Location
Cons: Too basic
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Big and clean rooms, very complete breakfast, well located

10,0 Excellent
Pros: We stayed in a beachfront villa with a gorgeous sea view. The villa was super clean and spacious, we had everything we need and even more! For example, a telescope! The staff is very friendly and helpful. We had no issues during our stay. Electricity and hot water were available all the time. The sea is clean, and after 4 pm. there is no one on the beach. Very romantic! If you are lucky you may see a big lizard walking in sands (like we did). I also recommend a sunset hike through island jungles. We saw wild chicken among trees there :) Also you may see reef sharks during sunset by the pier. Sutera Sanctuary Lodges is definitely the place you want to return to and recommend to all your friends. So much different to dirty Kota Kinabalu while so close to it!
Cons: Nothing, everything exceeded our expectations. Maybe except for the breakfast. Please please buy a nice coffee machine.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: I always travel for my birthday and I love going to the beach, I've been to Bali and Maldives. This year I booked 3D2N stay at Sutera Sanctuary Lodges Manukan Island Resort. Starting from the port (speedboat service) the staff are accommodating and very helpful. We left on time. When we arrived to the resort everyone was there to welcome us. I love their lemongrass tea welcome drink and the cold wet towel to freshen up. We were assisted straight to our room. I picked the Hillside Villa because of the wonderful and picturesque view of the beach and sunset. Left side of the beach is busy from 9am-4pm due to day tour trips. But the hotel provides us an exclusive area for hotel guests. The water is sooooooo clear you can see fishes swimming around, the staff tries to maintain the cleanliness of the shore but since some guests leave or throw their trashes at the beach it's very challenging. I commend the Resort Manager Mr. Adamz, he's very friendly and manifests excellent customer service. All the staff are hospitable and welcoming. I appreciate Einstein, for arranging our island hopping activity. I highly recommend that they offer trips and tours care of the resort already. I was really disappointed on one of the coordinators of the boating company we booked. He's very rude, discourteous and ill-mannered. Really thankful to Mr. Adamz and team for hearing my complaint and making sure that the boating company owner is well informed. The food selection is good, Maybe they can add more fruit juices. I've tried the steak, snack platter, marinara, bolognese, nasi goreng kampung, melaca jelly, american breakfast and many more. Cute Kinabalu dance number they prepared for my birthday dinner. :)
Cons: I was really disappointed on one of the coordinators of the boating company we booked. He's very rude, discourteous and ill-mannered. Really thankful to Mr. Adamz and team for hearing my complaint and making sure that the boating company owner is well informed.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The staff of the hotel is very very nice. They are really kind and helpful, and made everything to make our staf fantastic. The island is beautiful, we really enjoyed the beauty of the place and walking around the island up to sunset point.
Cons: There are two problems on this island, and they are not directly related to the hotel. The first problem is the garbage lying all over the beach and in the sea. We were really disappointed when we got into the water to see all the plastic everywhere. The main beach is cleaned regularly which is a good start but when walking on other parts of the island or when snorkeling, plastic is still everywhere... it ruins the beauty of the place. Plastic should be forbidden or highly limited and regulated.. The second issue is the never ending sound of boats doing the transfers between the different islands. Is it really necessary to have more than 100 boats coming on this island every day ? And more importantly, do they really have to play very loud techno music? Not sure about that. The boats stopped around 4pm though, which made the end of the day the best part of our experience on this island.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: There were a lot of negative reviews about wifi and the restaurant being the only food for dinner. They must have forgotten it is an island, were very impressed considering how small it is. Overall, the facilities were clean and beautiful. The perfect place to relax! Padi diving centre was also a treat for any licensed divers.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Great food and service
Cons: Beds were hard
8,0 Excellent
Pros: All the staff are absoltely lovely and very helpful. The white beaches and warm clear water were exactly what I wished for. The private beach with sun-lounges and shade cloth for guests (away from the hundreds of tourists) is fabulous and you can even get food and drink service to your lounge on the beach. Off the private beach there is a great coral section (with live coral and lots of fish) which is super for snorkelling. The restaurant has lounges and a lovely view, and serves fresh food and cold drinks.
Cons: The rubbish!! I don't understand why the hotel management don't employ groundsmen to clean all the grounds and the beaches. I only saw one man cleaning a little section on the private beach. There is a lot of plastic rubish washed up on the beaches all the way around the island and nothing is cleaned away. The tourists leave rubbish on the ground too and it is still there the next day. Rubbish was even in piles outside my bathroom window. Also, There are little reef sharks in a green dirty tank at the marine centre...this is cruel, if nothing else clean the tank. The pool water was cloudy - need a pool man to get the water balance right so it is crystal clear...so I didn;t swim in it. The accommodation is new and nice, but the rest of the facilities are a little tired and worn and need maintenance.
7,5 Good
Pros: The facilities were just right as to offer guests enough comfort without overdoing it in a natural environment. Staff was friendly. Complimentary water and soft drinks generously provided daily. And a 5-star dive center nearby.
Cons: WiFi signal was weak. Bring a book to read at night as there isn’t much else to do. Quite a lot of flies at the restaurants (but not elsewhere, strangely).

Pros: The location.
Cons: The parking should be free for the guests.
5,0 Okay
Pros: Location was central to ameneties - food and nightlife
Cons: Was first checked in to a room with only 1 small window. This is not like the deluxe room that I had booked, and had waited till 3pm for room availability?? Then was given a bigger room but the living room had no windows. Finally after much meeting and discussions with reception (Mr. Daniel was nice about it), was given an acceptable room (deluxe or not, I do not know). The air-conditioning level does not work. So either how or cold?? The toilet was stuck 4 time Day 1 and 3 times Day 2??? Room and facilities "looks tired and worn"

Cons: Have great expectation on our trip. But found me and my wife not been proper taken care of ! Big toilet , Bath tub non usable , drainage stopper missing! Despite highlighted to to DM on the fist day night time, we found it still not fixed upon returned from our day trip on 2day night! Unbelievable ! While doing our booking, they already new is 2 pax, but the toilet amenities set up is lousy, only given 1 toothbrush, and a bottle of body wash, shampoo, condition and lotion. Feel like been cheated for the price i paid and been given and treated such lousy service and treatment! No one seem take ownership, from House keeping, Duty Manager and GM. How can they check in guest to a problem room?? And i do not see any following up action from DM to GM too! That is upon my complaint on 2night, then the DM upgraded to for their club lounge at L11. But why cant they take a more proactive approach? Will not recommend anyone to stay if they have a choice !

Pros: Booked the Atrium, Spacious room. Breakfast was Delicious. Convenient location, near shopping area & restaurants. Free parking at the shopping complex.
Cons: Room was Warm even after maintenance came to fixed it. Didn’t need to use the blanket to sleep. Receptionist unfriendly, giving sour face when I asked the maintenance to fix it. Kind of regret upgrading my room. They didn’t give any information about the free parking, the Parking lot Attendants was the one who gave us information that we have to ask receptionist to stamp the parking tickets. Wiring on the desk lamp was unsafe.

Pros: Wonderful luxurious spacious rooms
Cons: The gym is located at the sister resort with only 2 shuttles available each day and a journey time of 30mns each way
8,3 Excellent
Pros: - staff was absolutely fantastic! - beautiful scenery, great snorkeling
Cons: - bathroom was dated and pretty smelly and mouldy - prices for drinks and food were ridiculous
8,3 Excellent
Pros: The location is stunning. The bed was also very comfortable and we enjoyed the diving facility on site. Though we didn’t use it, you can enjoy kayaks and paddle boarding free of charge, and the free drink in the ocean view bar between 5-7pm is good too!
Cons: The resort needs renovating, its a little tired. They also market themselves as ‘eco’ but every time the cleaners came to refresh the room they left the lights on, ceiling fan on and air conditioning blasting out - despite us being out all day.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Great view from ocean villa. Amazing shower. Interesting eco centre. Being able to visit sister resort and use their facilities.

9,6 Excellent
Pros: Staff was very friendly and the location was amazing. Get a good feel of nature and encounter many different types of wildlife. Food was amazing, as you have a good selection of Malay cuisine and as well as international cuisine. Great value for money. Will definitely recommend and come back!
Cons: Sand flies! Worst than mosquitoes. I wish the hotel briefed us on these horrible bloodsuckers.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: The location is stunning a white sandy beach with clear blue sea and coral reef at the edge of the jungle. Loads of flora and fauna to admire. The staff on the island are fantastic so friendly and helpful. A really nice place to get away from it all. Will hope to return one day.
Cons: Our check in experience could have been better. We arrived at our agreed arrival time to be informed that we had missed the free boat transfer for the day and would have to pay for the next one two hours later or pay for a private boat.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The Resort is located in the most beautiful bay surrounded by primary rain forest, absolutely stunning! We are so glad we chose this over the other resorts on the island, the location and view is unbeatable!! Each room is in an own cottage hidden in the forest. Very friendly and helpful staff! The vegetables and fish are all organic and from the resort’s own farms. The resort is also plastic free, which is really great :)
Cons: There are only two complimentary boat transfers per day, at other times you have to pay the transfer. However there is an office from the hotel at the boat terminal at Kota Kinabalu where you can easily leave the luggage and explore the city.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The staff are incredibly friendly, the suites are beautiful and the pool/beach is gorgeous. It's the perfect place to relax, and so accessible from Kota Kinabalu. Luxurious and very special.
Cons: My main complaint would be regarding the food. They were very helpful and accommodating with dietary requirements (myself being gluten free and my friend lactose intolerant), but the quality of the food overall was very sub-par. It was bland, uncreative and overpriced.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: This place exceeds expectation....a wonderful stay, couldn't find fault in anything!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Bunga Raya went above and beyond to celebrate my birthday. Everyone was incredibly kind, courteous and happy. It is an experience I will never forget
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Location and atmosphere
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Gorgeous people, they're all so friendly and lovely. Surrounded by beautiful ocean and jungle, breakfast was superb. They have an amazing wine cellar with pretty selection. Flying Fox was one of the best we've done. I'll definitely come back again.
Cons: If you are planning to do water activities like parasailing etc, it would cost a lot to visit other island as the resort offers limited choices; diving, hobbie wave, kayak. Also boat schedule (free) is very limited. Better check with your schedule and what you want during the stay.

Pros: The Sea View.
Cons: 1. Bad Check in Experience. A) Check in experience was well below par for a Club Floor room. Room was not a Club Twin as requested. Was upgraded to a Jr. SUITE without a Twin beds. Had to wait for a Twin room for some time. Stressful check in experience. Booked Sea view. No sea view available had to wait for sea view room to be vacant. B) Service is horrible. Staff not attentive. No managers or supervisors monitoring Staff constantly had to be called for service. C) Food quality & selection is poor. For the price paid :No value for money. Worse Club Cocktail hour ever experienced. D) Lounge full of mosquitoes n staff could do nothing. Bitten all over while drinking bottle of wine. E) Cleanliness of property. The small beach & surrounding waters was dirty. Had rubbish floating in water ect. Pool side Cafe. Staff didn't clear fast enough even though not busy. Pigeons attacked leftovers on plates left uncleared. Huge mess of food bits all over courtesy of the pigeons. Staff not attentive or service oriented. Property needs better maintenance & upkeep.

7,5 Good
Pros: Great
2,9 Mediocre
Pros: Very little!
Cons: Where do I start? This is the single most disappointing 5 star resort experience I have ever had. While everything, including the facilities, are extremely dated, it is the staff that make this resort terrible. We had money stolen from our room and it took 3 days for them to "investigate" only to tell us that there is nothing that they can do. Not even an offer to comp something in the minibar or anything other than a free 8 MYR trip to the airport. We were traveling in a large group of 4 families for a wedding and I had spent the 2 weeks before trying to get us all on the same floor or at least near each other. This was all agreed with the hotel via email. While I understand it is not always possible to put us directly together, we were ALL put in completely different areas of the hotel. When we asked again to see if we could be moved closer, the response was essentially "it's all too hard so too bad". Our family suite was dated and had a view of a car park. The cocktails, which were all overpriced, were watered down...like obviously watered down! Food was terrible and there were so many pigeons at breakfast it became a battle to keep you off your food. Avoid this hotel at all costs
7,5 Good
Pros: Badminton and workout!
Cons: too many Korean people, noisy
6,3 Good
Pros: Rooms and the view from balcony is outstanding. It is a huge hotel. There are lots of swimming pools ( but they are only 1,5m deep each). I dont like golf but if you do so there is a huge golf field.
Cons: There is no beach at this hotel. There are 2 men made `beach like` places but they are 10m wide each. Maximum 10 people can use it in the same time. If you want beach do not stay in this hotel . Go to Nexus or some other hotel with a proper beach.. If you insist to stay here then there are boats to islands hourly. I suggest you to go to islands to swim. Also foods are expensive. Water sports staff on the boats are unkind. ( the ones in the marina was very kind) .
6,7 Good
Pros: Loved Pacific Sutera.Good location very good service and Henry on front desk was the best.He was always ready for any questions.Rooms were good but did not like the pillows. If we come back we will stay in same hotel.Thank you to all the staff.
Cons: Please if you can change the bed too hard.
6,3 Good
Pros: Good Location reasonably priced friendly staff and good access to town
Cons: The cost of golf is extremely expensive for Malaysian standards and whilst the course is quite good and well maintained you are paying top dollar for the privalage to play the course

7,0 Good
Pros: The room is really nice and clean, they also provide shuttle bus to city, really thoughtful. At night, there is a live singing show in the lobby lounge, it was also good.
Cons: The time of checking in was too long and the staff of front desk was a bit careless. However, it was not a big deal, for the staff, overall, I would say, they are quite good and professional.
6,8 Good
Pros: Excellent food, friendly and helpful staff, nice grounds

Cons: We check in after 2pm but my room wasn't ready yet because the front office told us the customer just check out and they need about 40 min for housekeeping to clean it. I think this is unacceptable. They should at least compensate us something in return . At the end me and friend has to wait in my other friend room while we waited for our room. Room is very old. We also experience 2 times blackout during our day of check out. Previously the staff of the hotel also percharge my credit card 2 times and if I didn't realize it and raise this issue ,probably they also didn't realize their mistake. Honestly i won't recommend any of my friends and family to stay here again.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: I came back from day-long snorkeling and was surprised to see a little note left by the housekeeping maid wishing me a wonderful day. It was a very pleasant note.
Cons: The bathroom towels may need new replacement
8,8 Excellent
Pros: The call from receptionist asking about how the room when I just arrived at the room. Our room is 1015,overlooking the mountain. Got bathtub and Toileteries kit. Even Ming Garden, more expensive hotel also doesn't have this. The breakfast also considered good. The shower pressure is enoughly strong.
Cons: The aircon is centralised and it doesn't have a controller to turn off. the temperature can be adjusted but still the blower still turned on. I am having fever and imagine how to dealt with this. The hotel is old but it is very clean, especially the toilet.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The location was good and the beds were comfortable Even the towels were quite soft even though they didn’t look it Breakfast had a good range but wasn’t very warm. Staff were very friendly

Pros: Front Office staffs desk was friendly and helpful
Cons: Hotel very clean. Air-conditioned not working. Had to call the maintenance and no remote given to control the temperature. Towel: very rough and stale
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Aside from the long checkin our stay was fantastic, exactly what we needed for our last 2 nights in Sabah. We forgot what a hot shower was until Shangri-La, the beds and pillows were incredible, soooo comfortable, rooms were a good size, bathroom was nice. The buffet breakfast was really good and for the most part staff were friendly. It was in a good location just a short walk to everything would 100% stay again.
Cons: We arrived late at night and when we got there the man at the desk wasn't too friendly. We also were surprised with having to pay extra for tourism taxes and deposits etc. It would be great to know the prices upfront. There also seemed to be a lot to do at check in with signing papers etc. As we were exhausted we were questioning the extra payments we had to make as we didnt understand and the man wasn't much help and was rather grumpy. There are also no power points by the bed and only one point, not ideal for two people.

Pros: i like the strategic location
Cons: room too small
5,4 Okay
Pros: great location
Cons: service staff requires training on hospitality, remembering guests names to make regular guests feel welcome and at home. Attention to details in the room - room odours and the mirrors and carpet must be vacuum propoerly. Your restaurant - must have one signature dish and good coffee for regular guests.
1,0 Poor
Pros: shower and bed
Cons: booking confirmation received by hotel a bit late and made me waited. I already requested the staff to give me a room 1st while they wait for email confirmation but they decided to keep me waiting. I already showed them my confirmation email with booking ref no. they still not satisfied. lastly they gave me a room after received the email. however , when I tried to sleep after shower, I noticed a loud TV noise came from nearby. was that the revenge by the staff to give me a lousy room? I complained and they relocated me to another higher floor room. they knew the room is just inhabitable but they still gave me the room. what a GOOD service.
