Pros: Pure luxury! A lovely base to explore KK from. I accidentally left my phone in a Grab taxi just before we checked out. The staff at reception together with the Help desk at Grab, and the driver herself combined to get my phone back to me. This was over and above expectations and much appreciated.

Pros: We stayed 8 nights & overall I could not complain one bit about the Magellan. We did have a problem with the air conditioner in our room so they upgraded us for 5 nights in one of the best rooms. The original room was fantastic but the upgraded room was out of this world. Large bedroom & living area (separate) with an ensuite & a powder room. The staff go out of their way to make you feel welcome.

Cons: The only minus of our stay was the music blasting of an afternoon from the outdoor bar area by the pool...no-one seemed to be enjoying it except perhaps a few bar staff. It spoiled the lovely setting a little bit.

Cons: Extremely disappointed with the service upon check-in. Arrived during a terrible downpour and was told by the staff that i had to park my car and walk from the car park in the rain. After checking in, eventhough many staff were around us, we had to carry our own luggage to the to room. Disappointing that a 5 star resort would treat their clients as such.

Cons: Cocktails and drinks at Nariks bar were terrible. Live band was great although could start earlier. Food at the bar was a bit disappointing. Property could do with a face lift as our room seemed to have seen better days. When we first enquired about tourist attractions and activities in the area,the receptionist told us there was no information about this...we later found a desk where we could book activities..was a bit surprising that the receptionist would not have know this. When we checked in,past midnight the day we arrived,we were just directed to where our room was and not escorted...the hotel is big so we go a bit lost initially.could have been helped. I think given the cost,the hotel can afford to polish up.

Pros: The hotel is located behind the fruit/seafood market and Handicraft market, with full-on view of the sea. Our room faced the sea and we truly enjoyed the scenic sunset views. Because of it's proximity to the market, the smell of fish is very strong, so that's the only negative I can say about this place. The room was luxurious, the bed was comfy (may be a bit too soft for people who prefer firm beds) and the pillows were fluffy. The best thing abt our room was the floor-to-ceiling sea view. I'd highly recommend the sea-view rooms coz you get to enjoy the stunning scenery without having to smell the nearby market or stand in the hot sun! Service is so friendly here, and they're quick to help. Location-wise, it's close to KK Centrepoint, local markets and walking distance to nearby malls. Lots of local food choices at the hotel doorstep too.

Cons: I stayed in Sea View Room but quite upset with the cleanliness of the glass window. It damages the view. Not the first time staying in hotel with full glass window but this is the dirtiest I ever encountered. Sadly it is Le Meridien. The carpet too doesnt look clean fortunately it doesn't smell bad. No kids room. The spa doesn't look for 5* hotel. I comment on the look only coz I didnt take any treatment there.

Cons: I wanted to change my itinerary and bring my hotel stay a day forward, from the 21st to the 20th. I offerred to pay the difference in rate if any. Hotel staff told me they cannot do that for me as booking was made via a third party. It was actually made via a fourth party as Kayak outsorced it to getaroom.com. The actual helpline indicated in the booking email (469-675-5368) was possibly run by a fifth party. They were utterly unhelpful with my request to change the booking date by a day, even though I did offer to pay any difference in price. Rigidly cited some sort of policy. I went back to the hotel staff in person and tey also continued to refuse to help.
The consequence was that I had to book another hotel for the 20th, did not stay at Le Meridien on the 21st and my money was wasted. I will not be booking via Getaroom ever again and I will be avoiding Le Meridien.

If you want beach do not stay in this hotel . Go to Nexus or some other hotel with a proper beach.. If you insist to stay here then there are boats to islands hourly. I suggest you to go to islands to swim. Also foods are expensive. Water sports staff on the boats are unkind. ( the ones in the marina was very kind) .

Cons: We came late at 3.45 pm and surprise that the room wasn’t ready yet. We were so tired after a long journey trip and we have to wait about an hour at the lobby for our room to be ready. The check in time is suppose to be at 2pm. Also at the swimming pool, they dont allowed kids to be in the adult pool (although with tight supervision of guardian) And we already said that the kids are our responsibilities and we need to teach them on how to swim in the adult pool but they still insist for the kids to be in the kids pool (shallow water). They should allow the kids to swim if they have consent from us (the parents).

It's gone by 8.30am due to the tour group. Tge staff are slow to attend to clients. Bath room flooded and had to call maintenance 3x. Step into room with dirty boots. Housekeeping came to change towels daily but didnot clean the bath area. Horrible services. Location is not next to mall. It's opposite a high way like road to Imago mall that you cannot just walk there, must take Taxi every where you go. Pool bar service took 30mins to serve food and drinks. Towel lady was rude.

Cons: The slow front desk that checked me in, I almost late to my meeting. Order in-room dining and I got the order 1 hr later after I do the follow-up call. In the morning, housekeeping said there is no iron available, I wait for the iron and iron board, and I late to my meeting. I will never stay here in the future and I will not suggest this hotel to my colleague and friends.

Not a huge pool but great to cool off and relax and water was a good temperature. Not freezing like some we've had. Good to have a bar and lounge area. Location was okay but a bit of a walk to downtown and Jessleton Pier.

Cons: Bathroom was very rundown with cracked basin, patched bathtub and black stained grouting. We then changed rooms and had a walk in shower which wasn't bad but the water was cold for 2 of the 6 days there. Absolutely dreadful wifi. We had wifi in original room on 11th floor but despite being given a wifi code for the new room on 5th floor we couldn't connect. Reported this matter to various staff several times but it was never resolved. Wifi in the lobby was patchy at best. Unfortunately rundown bathrooms and lack of wifi made the stay not worth the money paid.

Cons: The furniture in the hotel room show the sign the of wear and tear. It need to be replaced or make good. Even the entrance door to the hotel room seem to be damaged due to force opening. I have requested for towel and it took the them more than 1.5 hours just to deliver it to me after my 4th time contacting the reception.
