First off, staff we met were amazing: Ken & Destiny at the front desk. When we got to our room initially we were facing the highway. After an hour I went down to the front desk and asked to change rooms because it was so loud. They moved us to the back where we were facing the harbor. It was so much quieter and the view was amazing. Lots of activities going on right outside. Penny was just one of the many hardworking housekeepers. We can't say enough about Mary, the concierge. She booked us with two really great tours and gave us so many suggestions about how to make the most of our time in Savannah. The breakfast was waffles, eggs, biscuits and gravy and grits, plus much more. The pool was refreshing. We didn't have a car but I heard that you had to pay for parking just to be aware. We would recommend the Best Western Savannah historic district to anybody.

Good: Location is good. Bad: hotel and room quite run down. One of the mattresses in the room was so old and with lack of support that I had to request for the hotel to change it after the first night. Towels were old. The corridors of the hotel were dirty and smell of cigarettes smoke.

Pros:Nice employees, decent breakfast, walking distance to all main attractions/restaurants/bars.
Cons:Construction going on right outside our room was extremely disruptive, bed could have been a little more comfortable, weak water pressure in shower.

Pros:I found the location great. It was well within walking distance to many tourist attractions. Breakfast was excellent, lots of choices. Rooms were clean.
Cons:It was very loud as my room faced Bay street. However I asked tge front desk staff if I could be moved and they accommodated my request the next night.

Pros:The hotel is in a wonderful location to explore both the River Front and the Historic District. The staff were extremely friendly and the free breakfast is great! Coffee and tea are available 24 hours, which was nice for us in February, it got quite cold at night so it was nice to come back from a long walk along the Riverfront and be able to have a decaf tea/coffee before bed to warm up. Also it is pet friendly! Next time, our dogs will definitely be coming with us. Savannah loves their pets, which was very cool to see!
Cons:There isn't much I didn't like. The water pressure was not very good and there was a dent in the dry wall that needed to be fixed. But overall, the rooms were very clean, the beds for comfy, and it was a great location. Great bang for your buck!
