The location is perfect. Tesla car charging/valet exceptional. The beds and bedding could be updated and more comfortable. In general all of the facilities should be updated/improved.
The decor is outdated. The bed and bedding should be more comfy.
The bed. The pool was nice. Enjoyed Happy Hour at the pool.
The patio sliding door didn’t lock. Called 3 #’s to get it fixed. No one ever came. Child got sick after eating dinner at their restaurant. Ordering nachos at the pool. Order redone 3 x’s. Just wanted cheese. They couldn’t understand this.
right on the beach..and close to the pier
seems a little over priced for what you get..however most hotels here are a premium
the breakfast was too expensive ($30.00 a person) for unimaginative, eggs, bacon, potato's and toast. Plus, the toast was dry and no butter was provided with the breakfast. Plus, there were no salt or pepper shakers, or salt or pepper at all for that matter. That equals an over-priced breakfast without basic condiments.
The check in was bizarre. I pulled in at about 9:30 pm, and there were 3 hyatt employee's standing at the valet parking booth. None asked us if we were checking in; no one offered to park my car; and no-one provided us with any information. There was no one else checking in or asking them for help, so their lack of initiative to help us was noteworthy. After I checked in, I was able to ASK one of the 3 for help with our bags. I parked the car myself due to $34.00 overnight parking fee. After checking in, we found our way to the pool and Mar Vista Bar. I just wanted to look at the pool, and the bartender told me it was closed for the night, but relented to let me look. We then sat at the Bar, and asked to order a diet coke frozen pineapple juice- (pina-colada mix- no alch). Our dispassionate bar tender seemed put out, but ultimately deigned to serve us. The real tester was that we actually ordered a quesadilla to share, we did get it. The problem here was a complete lack of charm, grace or good manners by the bartender. Why act like we are putting him out? The pricing was pretty special for that snack. I think it was over $40, because the 10 oz juice glass or pineapple juice was $7.00 a piece and I foolishly thought a refill might be free>? No! So that was a poor experience. The room was pretty motel ish. - some electrical outlets didn't work; there was an .old wall hanging AC unit right next to the bed - loud. The room phone was unplugged and when I plugged it in, it immediately would unplug - because the plug in clip was broken. The room was about $450.00 per night. I expected more for that price and I expected better from a Hyatt. Not a good value.
