Pros (+) Took one look at the building and went to the Hotel pictured on the web site to complain. Homeless across the street. Could not get into building. Security gate locked-the worst!!!!!!
Cons (-) Should change web site-a different hotel is shown. Not picture of the actual dump of a hotel.

Cons (-) The "Santa Barbara House" is basically a converted apartment building by the 101 Freeway. Its around the corner, and full block away from the actual hotel complex. (Which is actually a nice, beachside hotel.) If you want to spend $200+ per night to stay in an old apartment building by a busy freeway, go for it I guess... If you'd like to stay in an actual hotel, try somewhere else. Honestly, Hyatt...

Pros (+) Location is good. Best about the SB house is the park across the street if you bring dogs. Don't mind all the homeless and riff raff lingering around.
Cons (-) View out my window was of a dirty old roof and satellites dishes everywhere. Close hang drying outside next door. For the price point the room was well under standard.

Pros (+) Walking distance to the beach. I stayed on a Thursday night so it was very quite and empty and felt very private. Bed was very comfortable.
Cons (-) Although the rooms have been renovated, the building it self needs updating. The railing at the main entrance is bent pretty badly and leans to one side (probably hit by a car in the parking). Parking has a tight turn around. Cons (-) Our room (room 143) had some serious issues. Although a nice big room with recent renovations, the room is right next to/against the wall with both the front door and the elevator. The front door is a big metal gate, essentially, which slams and rattles every time someone comes or goes.
