Pros: lovely quiet and clean place. i enjoyed very much
Pros: The Inn was very clean and up to date. It has an old school feeling with modern touches. We were given the wrong room upon arriving but were refunded some money for the wrong room. Friendly staff and a great location for our trip to Catalina Island.
Cons: Made sure you saved us the right room.
Pros: Nice view from room. Good location. Very good breakfast
Pros: Location overlooking Dana Point Marina and the Pacific. A significant % of the rooms overlook the ocean, including a separate balcony for each (ask for one of these - worth the extra $). Very supportive staff; excellent breakfast; well laid out and nicely furnished rooms. Located 5 miles south of downtown Laguna and 2 miles from San Clemente & San Juan Capistrano. Many good restaurants and small town downtowns to explore.
Cons: To obtain all of the good things available at this boutique hotel, you pay somewhat more than an average rate per night
Pros: Spacious room with modern decoration and great view. Friendly staff and nice breakfast.
Pros: View is very good
Cons: Lobby is not air conditioned
Pros: The room we booked was actually a mini-suite with a sitting area. The bathroom was huge. There was a cooked breakfast as well as breads, pastries, cereals and fruit.
Cons: We did not get new coffee pods on the second day - a real first world problem!
Pros: We loved the location. the view and breeze from the harbor were lovely. The staff was very helpful and cheery. we enjoyed the breakfast and visiting with the others when drinking wine with snacks downstairs.
Cons: The water flow in the shower was a little weak, but it worked.

Pros: Every thing
Pros: Location, staff, grounds, bed

Pros: Updated rooms, happening environment within hotel
Pros: Room was great. Nice view. Construction was annoying but understandable
Pros: Loved everything about the property and the staff!
Cons: Nothing bad at all!
Pros: Staff and breakfast were amazing
Cons: Wish they had queen rooms vs. 2 doubles
Cons: Upon arriving l was given room directly below reception hall hosting a large party Saturday night. No other option was offered. Noise from party was intolerable. Staff assured me there won’t be a party the following night. That turned out to be un
Pros: Location, cleanliness, comfortable bed
Cons: Party in room across from us. Kept waking us up between midnight and 230ish
Pros: Location and views are fabulous. Rooms are very comfortable and very clean. Lobby bar fun.
Cons: Taxis to the premises appears to take too long so order ahead of time.
Pros: Every thing was adequate and clean, but besides the amazing location, the resort lacked character, charm or something that would make it memorable.
Pros: Cleanliness, beautiful grounds
Cons: Couldn’t see out windows very well as we were in a “tower†room.
Pros: It was very quiet
Cons: I did find some food on the floor and we were only staying the night there we got there at 8 PM and we had to leave at 7 AM and we were charged a resort fee On top of what we paid to stay there so that was a surprise to have to pay extra just to sleep
Pros: Cocktails and service at the bar.
Pros: The location was beautiful and the waiter and bartenders super
Cons: The daytime reservation staff terrible and no willing to do late check out. Additionally, the patio was filthy dirty and unacceptable

Pros: The staff was warm, friendly and accommodating ~ the hotel was beautiful and location perfect!
Cons: I can only say that it could use some updating, but was so great otherwise that it doesn't matter.
Pros: Surprisingly nice breakfast. Expected a continental breakfast, but instead had a full breakfast with eggs, sausage, potato's, pancakes etc.
Pros: They make you feel at home and treat you with great care The deluxe rooms are beautiful ‘
Cons: The whirlpool could be a little bigger perhaps big enough to fit 2 persons.... But the stay was wonderful
Pros: Room very nice....suite was excellent
Cons: Location right on main highway , overlooking McDonalds etc... not Marina or Shore ! Expected better view ... outside entry was a bit cheap as it looked at a mural on a wall ... but very nice room ... price was higher than comparable hotels in So Cal
Pros: Close to the beach and PCH
Cons: Too noisy
Pros: It's walking distance to the beach and marina.
Cons: Parking is very tight.
Pros: Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Also they checked with me about a person trying to make an unauthorized charge to my room.
Cons: Since it is a pet friendly hotel the first room we had smelled like dog pee, so they gave us a new room and I saw them steam cleaning the carpet all the next day in the previous room.
Pros: Friendly, helpful staff and location of the hotel!
Pros: Staff very friendly clean rooms
Cons: Monday Hotel breakfast not recomemded
Pros: Loa atinó near Daña Wharf and the Marina
Cons: We asked for early check-in since we were driving from 2.5 hrs away, and asked for a room close to the elevator. They responded check-in was not before 3:00 p.m. We arrived at 4:00 p.m. and told that our room was not ready yet for another 30 minutes and compensated with free parking ($10). We patiently waited in the lobby until 5:00 p.m. when a room was finally ready. I inform reception desk that TWO HOURS DELAY was not acceptable, and she apologized saying “we had a wedding”. And then was given the last room further away from the elevator! HOTEL LACKS STAFFING!!!

Each of our 136 guest rooms feature private balconies, some with views of the outdoor pool/lounge and the harbor, with complimentary Continental breakfast served every morning. Easily follow PCH south to San Clemente, San Diego, or north to Laguna Beach and Newport Beach. Dana Point Marina Inn is freeway close to Disneyland, Knotts Berry Farm, and Legoland. Visit all that Orange County has to offer with rest and relaxation by the beach in Dana Point.
Cons: Bathrooms were really gross, the tub didn’t drain, the shower curtain was tattered, the sink area was just old and had chipped countertop. When I turned AC unit on to access the fan because there was so much humidity in room, black stuff came flying out. The blackout shades are useless because all the balconies have a bright light and it comes shining through. One positive, is that your breakfast lady takes pride in what she does and area is kept clean and well stocked. Hot tub could be wayyyyy warmer as well.
Pros: I wish I could have stay there to find out what I like.
Cons: If they had given us the rooms we booked it would have been amazing. we booked and paid for the rooms, and then when checking in they said, sorry its a holiday weekend and there was a mix up with your booking and we DON'T HAVE ROOMS for you.... so they out us in a Hilton near by, it was already 9PM when we checked in and missed dinner. Horrible.
Cons: Bed in first room should have been taken behind the barn and shot at least 5 years ago— literally. If the second room had a cratered bed, like the first, I would have checked out. Thankfully, it was across the hallway from the first, so it was a very easy transition. It also had been reconditioned within the last couple of years. My question is— why would you ever put someone in the first room, when capacity was very low?
Pros: I chose this place because it was close to where I needed to be early the next morning. And because it had a pool and was close to the beach in case I wanted to take a dip. It delivered on all those. The staff was friendly and helpful and the parking lot big enough for me to park my car with trailer while not causing problems for other guests.
Pros: Everything except pool was unavailable due to a problem. Everyone there are exceptional. This was one of the best places i have ever stayed at. Ty
Cons: Absolutely nothing . everyone and everything are outstanding
Pros: Great location. Comfortable clean living area. We had fun hanging out on the deck.
Cons: Bathroom definitely needed an upgrade and it wouldn't hurt to clean under the mat in the tub once in a while.
Pros: Location in Dana Point
Cons: No microwave in unit
Pros: The staff was outstanding!
Pros: Very comfortable and convenient.
Cons: All good
Cons: Nice views close and convenient to stores and eating
Cons: The eggs for brkfst could have been real instead of powdered.

Pros: Cookies at check in.
Cons: Downgraded from king suite to 2 double beds with no balcony right next to the bar even after telling them it was our anniversary. Service at bar was awful and rude. Overall experience was horrible.

Pros: Balcony with room was a nice feature.
Cons: Bathroom was crazy small like a motel 6...smaller. Also was never told about $25 self parking per night. Was a total surprise and I would have picked a different hotel. Thank you
Pros: Wifi was free...
Cons: Full ocean view isnt really what I expected. Blocked by trees and the camp site in front of the hotel. Just expected more of a view for what I paid.
Pros: Bed was awesome and we booked an ocean view. I purchased the breakfast and it was great.
Cons: We had an issue with the fire alarm in our room that required 2 maintenance visits. A spider came to visit my daughter’s bed which was not good. The shower head leaked water and sprayed up against the shower door and wall.
Pros: Beach sunsets in California are the most beautiful things on earth
Cons: I feel like the patios could be more comfortable
Pros: Staff very accommodating
Pros: Close to beach
Cons: Check in was an hour late.Staff not very pleasant. Everyone in lobby was upset, rooms were not ready. Will not go back.Spent 3 hours on rooftop bar because they said we could have early check in at 1. Was compt. free parking. Big deal.
Cons: The sink facet was outdated. Hard to maneuver around the water pressure.
Pros: The location was convenient and the staff members were friendly
Cons: Lots of traffic noise from nearby roadways and the train track running directly behind the hotel. The water main broke during my stay and there was no water for several hours. Had to check out without showering or cleaning up.

Pros: Charming hotel with a beautiful view. Free breakfast in the morning and coffee in the room
Pros: Very near the beach but it is a walk over the highway and then the RR tracks. Crosswalks provided.
Pros: It was a very simple breakfast, all cold, but there was a toaster. The bagels were not fresh. Coffee was good. I made a pb sandwich, and had 2 hard boiled eggs. Hey, most hotels these days don't provide any food for free so this was a nice benefit.
Cons: Construction ongoing.
Pros: Confortable beds. Breakfast ok. Value for money. for a night no bad.
Pros: Beautiful setting was garden-like luxurious; my room was very spacious and immaculately clean; staff was very friendly and willing to help; I would recommend this to friends and family.
Cons: For what I wanted a beachfront view, good location, clean 7 even luxurious setting, and still affordable it was perfect! If someone wanted entertainment on site, i.e. pool, spa, game room, workout room, then this is not for them. I just wanted Oc
Pros: Beautiful view of the ocean, nice room and helpful staff. The heater was not working in our room but the front desk manager brought and set up a space heater and extra blankets so we were plenty warm at night.
Pros: There was a good selection at breakfast, the waffles were good.
Cons: The viewing deck is in need of repair
Pros: The room had old carpet, crummy towels, the location was good but right on the main toad do it was noisey. Value was spot on. Staff was very friendly and helpful. They signed me up for a best western points card.
Cons: The rooms need fresh ing up.
Pros: The view of the ocean was everything. Free parking was great. The breakfast was amazing.
Cons: Our toilet flooded, they soaked up the water and left.

Pros: room was nice and clean and much larger than expected
Cons: maybe a view of the mountains instead of the fwy

Pros: The breakfast was the best part of this stay. Such a variety of breakfast items, and all of them delicious.
Cons: The Beds. They were very high and we had difficulty getting on them. We're kind of short so it was difficult. But, once we were on them, they were very comfortable. One of our relatives had to sleep on the chair.
Cons: Old, not updated, depressing, right next to the freeway, even if sheets and towels are clean, everything looks dirty, awful dirty rug. Breakfast on cheapest paper plates with cheapest plastic forks and knifes (even at 99 c stores you find better ones).

Pros: Very firm
Cons: An extra blanket on the bed
Cons: The price, shower, beds, the constant foot traffic above you, and lack of security. Would reconsider passing this place up if you can. Our camping trip outside for 2 days was a better experience and overall cheaper price than this place.
Pros: It was ok, but I feel it was overpriced. The gentleman that checked me in was pleasant and helpful. Other than that, didn't see anyone.
