Pros: Hotel staff was friendly and accommodating. We had 3 people in our party (two twins and a extra bed). The hotel room was a little tight for 3 people but we only stayed there to sleep.
Location was fantastic. Everything was within walking distances to great clubs, bars, and food. I highly recommend checking out Bombay Bar and then M1 Ultra Lounge for a great night (get bottle service). The main tourist attractions were 10~15 min walking distance away.

Pros: The breakfast was lovely. A great variety of food on offer in a nice relaxing environment. We had a suite on the 6th floor and it was very well equipped and comfortable. It was cleaned to a high standard daily. The staff were so friendly and helpful in advising directions and booking tickets. Petra in particular.

Cons: Nothing really but if i had to nitpick: Room was a little small. The elevator was slow? They charged for late check out ($30 for 2 hours - think). In comparison, we didn't get charged for late check out in Amsterdam, Berlin, and Vienna. Laundry was expensive - pricing based on individual article of clothing.

Cons: We ordered executive room. In the site it was written that these rooms in this hotel are at least 30 sqm with at least one comfort chair (it's in the picture!). We got a smaller room, on 2nd flor with no comfort chair. It was a bit tight. We did not insist on higher floors because they had renovation on the highest floors. Although we did not stayed to much at the hotel, yet we did not get the room that we were promised. We'll do better next time....

Pros: Great breakfast, good quality and enough choice. What I especially liked were the comfy beds. Good location, just a short stroll to the old city and Jewish quarter. Prague is very busy and I would not recommend to stay in the busiest parts and therefore Icon is a very good choice.

The breakfast selection was very good - they had a Miso soup too (although we didn't try it) - a pancake machine, eggs, ham, cheese, .... everything you want!

The staff accommodated our dietary requirement for breakfast with great precision, I can't explain how much myself and my wife appreciated this. Many other hotels could take lesson from this quality. Every aspect of our requests were handled very quickly and efficiently, testament to the outstanding service and great management.

I stayed in an executive room for three nights here and it exceeded my expectations and rivaled some of the most luxurious, expensive hotel rooms I have stay in -- and at a small fraction of the price!! The hotel is a short walk to everything, a train station is less than a block away, and a tram runs right out the front door. When you first enter the hotel, the lobby is deceiving because it is small, worn and, dated. Enter you room and wow! The upgrade to the executive room is well worth it. It was exquisitely appointed, spacious and luxurious with a powder room and separate full bathroom. L'Occtaine toiletries were a nice touch. The bed was very comfortable and the linen was exceptional. The room was quiet. The breakfast spread in the hotel's famous restaurant was excellent. I am glad I booked the room with the breakfast option. It was very well worth it. Bottom line: I doubt I will ever find a better value anywhere in the world any time soon.

Pros: Bed super comfy. Class location. We had a problem with the drain in our shower, we mentioned it it to the staff that morning and it was fixed by the time we got home which was great! Lovely breakfast, superb price.

Cons: The gentlemen that checked us in wasn't very helpful, when asked where we could eat locally his reply was "I don't eat Czech food". The room allocated even though it was an upgrade was tiny and when my husband questioned him about it he just laughed. Eventually saw someone the next day who was more helpful and changed our room

Cons: First of all I’m very disappointed from the hotel’s staff - there was no acknowledgement at all! The guy who checked us in was nice to us and the waitress in the restaurant but in general no one is paying attention to you and they are very rude! On the check out, I forgot the adapter in the room and when i said it to the receptionist he did such a bad face reaction. Also the waiter from the hotel’s restaurant was beyond pushy and rude. He asked me if I want to drink still water or sparkling? And i took a moment to answer, he replied “its aqua aqua, not that hard to choose its just water” with an attitude of course! Also before coming to the hotel I was promised a complimentary wine for our anniversary that I never actually got!

Upon arriving, the hotel met all my expectations, the staff was very nice and the location was about as good as you're going to get in Old Town of Prague. I was traveling solo to meet up with my son on his Study Abroad trip but I will be returning with my wife and I would stay again for sure. Reasonable price, nicely furnished, attentive staff and great location!

Cons: It always felt like a slight scramble for breakfast in the morning; restaurant staff were regularly late to replenish food or to ask guests about their drink preference. Compared to staff elsewhere in the hotel the restaurant operation felt a bit haphazard.

Cons: We booked a superior deluxe room with city view. We were kindly welcome by the amazing staff of the hotel. But that's where the good experience ended. The large room window facing the national museum presented a large splatter of bird defecation which was found also on the curtain indoor (probably the accident occurred with the window open). The room was particularly covered in dust, residue of food at the entrace and presented stains on the walls, chair and bed linen. When I asked why the window wasn't cleaned I was told "the housekeeper saw it but was alone." However we didn't have to pay more for the organic addition to the city view for one night. The staff removed at least the curtain promptly, and nicely offerred to upgrade us to another from the second night. We accepted and were happy, until we discovered quite significant issues. Two pillows on the bed presented large red stains (see photo please), the bathroom wasn't cleaned properly, the mirrow was broken. We called the cleaning but, on our return from a day tour, we verified the bathroon had been cleaned very superficially. At that point, I decided to ask for cleaning products and clean it myself, which I successfully did in an allegedly 5 star hotel. Photos attached and many more available but not attachable here. I have also not particularly appreciated the comment of a staff member, a brunette lady, warning us with some lack of manners that orders from the bar are to be paid aside, which seems to me pretty intelligible. Don't waste your money.

I could not figure out the size of beds in other hotels, sometimes they didn’t have elevators, and renting apartments felt a bit sketchy. Cons: We were on the 5th floor. The reconstruction was ongoing on the 1st floor so we were warned that there might be some noise until 5 pm. The noise went on until 6 pm and it was quite significant and annoying (drilling sound).
We got only 2 bath towels so my wife asked for the 2 more so we can have dry towels for the morning. The lady on the front desk took the note, but the towels were never delivered. We didn't want to bother asking again. However, the interesting thing was when we came back to our room earlier (before we asked for towels), we saw that someone delivered the additional comforter and placed it on our bed. We were surprised that someone entered our room, and this was probably intended for someone else.

Cons: Rooms refurbishment took place during our visit just above and beside our rooms. Unbearable noice (drilling into the walls) started already at 9:00 am on Fri and also on Sat. Sauna was out of order and pool area accessible only during limited times (7:00 - 10:00 am and 07:00 - 10:00 pm), thus you can imagine how crowded the pool was during the open hours.

My version: the hotel's location is pretty good as it's close to the center and just near the Vltava river. They allowed us to check in earlier which was very nice because we were very tired (after days of traveling). The checkout guy was very kind and was even smiling.
My girlfriend's version(russian): Я и мой молодой человек останавливались в Отеле Augustus et Otto с 27 по 20 сентября 2018 года. Из плюсов: девушка на рецепшене была довольно милой, всегда была горячая вода, пока мы ждали заселения, налили чаю, находится довольно близко к центру (2 с половиной км от центра Праги).

My version: this is definitely not a four stars hotel, maybe it used to be but not anymore. I paid 200eu expecting to be welcomed in a luxurious real four stars hotel because we wanted to relax after 2 long weeks of adventures but we were very disappointed, my gf even cried! They first asked us to give a 50 euros deposit for the minibar that contains 3 drinks and 2 chocolates (from billa, the cheapest supermarket) then they gave us vouchers for breakfast because I guess they don't trust anyone even their own customers so we felt very unwelcome. When we entered our room(12), it smelled weird and no it's not because of disinfection, the smell was there every time we entered our room. We had to open windows all the time so we could have some fresh air. We booked a double room, yet it was a twin room (2 single beds put together). The sink pipe in the bathroom was not very often cleaned we could tell as the water was draining very slowly down the pipe. We couldn't use blankets as they were in a pretty bad shape, harsh for the skin and the TV was too small with wires hanging around. Now for the breakfast, every product is from billa (I love billa but I paid 200eu here!), And same breakfast everyday with very poor choice. Every morning there was very loud post Soviet music coming from the kitchen even at 9am when people just woke up! We could hear it from our room!! Also i saw children playing around the kitchen.
My girlfriend's version: он был заявлен как 4 звездочный отель, но на самом деле уровня максимум одной звезды. А денег за него берут как за 4 звезды! Девушки на рецепшене не говорят по-чешски, практически весь персонал русские или украинцы, которые не говорят на английском. Наша комната была меньше заявленной, вода из раковины не желала уходить, покрывало на кровати -- старое, застиранное, все в катышках. Экран телевизора крошечный, все провода наружу. Мы заказали двойную крвоать, а на самом деле это было две сдвинутые кровати и два одеяла, кто-нибудь из нас все время проваливался в щель. Очень тонкие жидкие подушки. На моем пододеяльнике было красное пятно (от свечи?) Вместо кондиционера -- вентилятор. За содержимое минибара с нас взяли депозит 50 евро! Каждый раз, когда мы выходили из отеля, ключ от комнаты надо было сдавать на рецепшн. Завтрак -- по талонам! При этом в столовой оглушительно ревела плохая русская музыка из кухни, невозможно было спокойно позавтракать в тишине. Иногда эту музыку включали также во время уборки комнат, под такое сложно отдыхать. Сам завтрак не очень разнообразный, в картошку добавили бекон, скудный выбор овощей. В последнюю ночь мы уезжали рано утром, так как у нас был самолет, и попросили завтрак с собой. Нам упаковали: одну помидорку (!), 3 куска хлеба, ветчину, сыр, 2 киви, 2 апельсина, поллитра воды, 4 масла (два из них -- маргарин рама), 2 джема и 0,3 сока. Ни ножа, ни вилки. Как есть это в аэропорту? Масло пальцем намазывать? Остались очень недовольны, боль
