Great location. Just near Charles bridge. Suite was comfortable for a family. Tasty breakfast. Very friendly stuff. WIFI worked fine and was free. Clean room. We had fun, and the hotel was part of it.
There were pubs/clubs near the hotel, which made noise during the night. We had a dissent and good sleep. But it did wake me up once or twice during my few days stay.
The Charles Bridge Palace is, as advertised, located very near the Vlatava river and the famous Charles Bridge. It's an older building with many rooms that fit different travel needs. We traveled as a family of four with two older teens (boy and girl) so needed at least three beds. This hotel does have rooms on the top floor that have two levels within the room that accommodate this. The first room we received had a huge living room on the main level along with a full bath, and two bedrooms and a bath upstairs. But due to the noise (see below), we shifted to another room that had a smaller main level having a small living room and a bedroom/bath, and a second floor with a bedroom and a bath. Air conditioning works well. The staff is exceptional. They understood our noise complaint without issue and moved us to an available room, and even helped us move between rooms. We left a blanket in the room when we checked out, and they mailed it to an upcoming hotel for us. The location shared a building with the museum of beer and its pub with 30 beers on draught! It's convenient to old town, castle quarter, and Vltava river sights and activities.
HEED THE WARNINGS HERE ABOUT ROOM LOCATION. There is NOTHING this hotel can do apart from picking up the building and moving but there IS a dance club near the river, so river facing rooms will hear LOUD thumping drums and bass tones all night. Seriously. Moving to the room on the other side of the building helped tremendously. The partygoers coming out will still be loud but it isn't as bad. The location thus is not ideal, despite it being 5-10 minutes from the main square. It is however easy to get in and out of the city from this location for driving day trips, if any. The road running along the river is very narrow and has some spots where it's single file sidewalk, be warned. There's no parking at all on site, and even dropping off to unload can be stressful because people want you out of the way fast. There's no super close parking - there are two decks about 15 minutes walk away; the one north is bigger and cleaner than the tight cramped one underneath the theater to the south. BATHROOMS: Not every room has a shower! Some are just tub with a handheld showerhead. Our original room was fine shower-wise but our second room, despite having full height ceilings, had no shower. And the water pressure out of the handheld was terrible! That was definitely a negative. Breakfast was just okay, despite having a fairly large range of options, many were odd or just okay. No ordering of custom eggs so lactose concerned have to make do with hard boiled eggs.
Kind staff, good breakfast
Riverside room exposed to a lot of noise from the Disco underneath during the night. Hotel should do something about it. Other than that location and views from the room were lovely.
The location is excellent and rooms are very spacious with great breakfast
Noise level is very high even for the room not facing the river
location is good; concierge staff is excellent, perfer one grandpa staff.
everything is good
