Pros: This has been my hotel whenever I come home to the Philippines whenever possible. I love to swim here. The sunset is simply great. And the breakfast is really super.
Cons: The room needs renovation.

Pros: Nothing everything is worse from check in to check out. First, my reservation didn't honor the free breakfast. This is the second times I bought from your website that the breakfast is included but when we checkin not invluded.
Cons: The smell of the Carpet and when you're in the swimming pools the smell of the ocean iis horrible. The aircon in the lobby is horrible too.

Cons: When you need a taxi to the airport you cant pay the driver yourself. Instead they charge you 4 times of the regular price. This is rip off!!!

Pros: Staff are wonderful. We have a server and he was wonderful, he went out of his way to make our stay special.
Cons: Our room 1123 was deteriorated. The blinds in the bathroom is all bent and the rain shower was not working good, no water pressure at all. I am a bit disappointed cause I have stayed in many Sofitel before in different countries and I was always pleased

Cons: Serve wine on 10th floor with lunch
7,0 Good
Pros: Cool place, there is a bar in the swimming pool and that was a lot of fun

10,0 Excellent
Pros: Club lounge privileges and happy hours or what they were called in the club lounge was great. Good value for money when you have a club room. The view from the club lounge is great as well, overlooking Manila bay. But this time I did not take the club room as we were going to arrive late in the evening already and check out early. But the room was similar to the club room and also with nice view of the bay. Enjoyed the 24hr roomservice as well.
Cons: On a very busy road, so traffic can be an issue. Also not easy to fetch a cab directly outside of the hotel, unless you use something like Grab which actually works really well or ask for the lobby to arrange a grab taxi. Not much interesting nearby except for the nice view of Manila bay if you have a room with that view.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: we like the complimentary that the hotel have to us. we also like the location it is very accessible and easy to find grab car for your service
Cons: no comments for this question

Pros: The suite was extra large and club lounge very pleasnt
Cons: I preordered gluten free but no gluten free food available
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Friendly
Cons: Carpet in the needs to be clean
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The facilities are showing a little age but in very clean and well kept condition,, from the lobby with 2-3 check-in manned posts, to the hallways to the elevators (the 4 units were quick and wait time was always short) and to my room which was spacious and well furnished. There was nothing missing or lacking in room and bath accessories. Had club lounge access which had a terrific view of the bay and busy Roxas Blvd..the nightime vista is even more awesome. Was surprised by the unexpected extensive breakfast buffet which had numerous choices. Service was quick, dirty plates were quickly whisked away. Most of all the staff were very courteous.
Cons: The location is very busy. The service road is packed with vehicles going both directions and its stop and go because it intersects and is about 30feet from the even busier intersection of P. Ocampo St and Roxas Blvd. The hotel has a very short and shallow driveway that branches from the service road (good for 3 cars). Our room 1724 was very nice but there was no view to speak of other than a condo building constructing across.
6,5 Good
Cons: Towels were worn out and felt damp. Room felt damp too.

Pros: I have stayed at the hotel 3 times now and they are remodeling the rooms
Cons: No internet in room. Tried switching rooms and called Front desk and they basically ignored my request. Very disappointed in a hotel that I’ve stayed at in the past but won’t stay there again
8,0 Excellent
Pros: The bed was very comfortable. The room overall was clean, comfortable and well decorated. I also liked the free shuttle service from the airport - very, very handy. I was also glad there was a weighing scale for luggage in the lobby. Thank you also for the complimentary waters/teas etc.
Cons: The bathroom floor design meant that water would leak out from under the door of the shower and somewhat flood the rest of the bathroom. There wasn’t adequate drainage so it had to be dried with the bath mat.

Pros: Staff was great. Me and my wife stayed there after our wedding and the staff provided use with a delicious piece of cake with "best wishes" on the plate. They even upgraded our room at no charge. It was very appreciated after a hectic week of planning and having the wedding.
5,8 Okay
Pros: Location of the hotel.
Cons: Ron (night fd) was inconsiderate. We came from our year end party in smx around from 6pm-1am and asked for the rest of our office mates to stay until 230am so they can just rest a bit and change clothes before they go home. Unfortunately, he kept on saying that it's the hotel policy that only 2 were allowed to stay else we will be charged addtl guest fee of 750 per pax. My office mates had to leave immediately to avoid paying extra. He even said that it's nice of them to allow us to stay til 130am because per hotel policy, we should've been charged already. I don't think it's even necessary to say it that way.

Pros: -Hotel staff were very kind, attentive, always presentable and professional. -Front desk accommodated all of our requests and even upgraded 2 out of 3 rooms that we've booked (Thank you Sir Leo). -Bell boys, room attendants were thorough and honest. They returned an item that we forgot before we could even leave the hotel. -Baby cot was available for the room, high chairs at restaurants. -Rooms had balconies for smokers. (Their lobby, unfortunately, smelled quite heavily of cigarette smoke) -Good acoustic duo playing at night for entertainment.
7,0 Good
Pros: the breakfast buffet was good,, it was actually substantial and filling,. the location is very good.
Cons: this is actually my third stay in midas hotel. this time though, the staff were not as accommodating as it used to be. the front desk personnel, usually very accommodating were not the same as before. although there was one who really went out of her way to be helpful. i was requesting the front desk if cold charge my phone as i arrived very early and check in time was still 2pm. i was willing to pay extra for early check in but the hotel was booked. fine with me. i just needed to charge my phone as the long flight drained my battery and i i needed to call someone. i was curtly refused by one of the staff even after i already paid and did the check in procedure ( although i could not use the room yet. ). and the service crew were acting strangely. i requested for 2 extra towels and he wanted to see the used towel before he would provide me with another.

Cons: Nothing around the hotel except a convenient store about 10min walk in dimly lite road. Bought some drinks from convenient store... security check and they said cannot eat and drink in the room. Front office asked to sign a form... did not paying attention... but seams they set such a rule no outside food. This not budget airline! buffet breakfast was so so, bread is hard and cold, eggs are pre-fryed and cold on the table. restaurant food is very expensive P200+++ for a local beer... cafe closed early and lobby lounge's acoustic is horrible. Poor TV programs, internet on and off..

6,3 Good
Pros: The staff are nice and helpful. The bathroom was updated in our room and quite nice. It is a busy but good location.
Cons: The decor is very dated and old. The rooms are painted dark colors and there is air conditioning only in the bedroom so the living area is always hot. The bed was terrible. You could feel the springs through what must have been a 50 years old mattress. The bed coverings are very old and worn. It is all very worn and tired and Wifi is not in rooms unless you pay extra...is this 1990?
10,0 Excellent

Pros: Facilities around the pool is good. Food is good. Comfortable bed. Staff are helpful.
Cons: Do not like them asking for a deposit when arriving when you use a debit card, to be used only for using the drinks in the room. Cannot be used for dining costs. Transfer to the airport is expensive, use a taxi. Extended my stay by 6 hours, but had to pay 50% of room rate.

Pros: Food was good; their Lumpiang Shanghai was awesome along with their Halo-Halo. Courteous staff that respected privacy.

Pros: The rooms were very well kept. The hotel is close to everything and the food is very reasonably priced
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Location is fairly close to the airport. Good service from the hotel and staff.
Cons: This is what you would euphemistically call a Love Hotel where the rooms can be booked on an hourly basis. The setup is unusual as you walk into a garage area and there is a staircase to your room. I suppose it is a Motel so makes sense. Convenient for the airport which is why a booked it. Stay there if you're planning a tryst. Otherwise probably not suitable for the general traveller.

Pros: Friendly crew.. very responsive.. clean place as well
3,0 Mediocre
Pros: Staff were helpful and friendly. Hotel was clean and close to the airport terminals
Cons: The room was old needs updating, especially the bathroom. I only had one available plug socket in the room! Location is too busy/congested with people and traffic jams. Hotel was too noisy so I couldn't sleep: Aircon sounded like an old motorbike engine and the Fridge was buzzing! Hotel staff were working in the corridor opposite my room from 5.30am dealing with stock room supplies and playing music.
7,0 Good
Pros: Sleep
Cons: Card need to be in for everything to work
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was just wonderful the room and friendly staff.
Cons: Only thing that was irritating was that even if the hotel ad said that there was "free breakfast" or "complementary breakfast",if it is not worded as such on the itenary or recipient, then it will not be honored as such. Should state breakfast extra chg.
7,0 Good
Cons: The hotel is ok for the price but the breakfast is horrible and you are limited to 1 trip and 3 items only. Instant coffee, not brewed.
1,0 Poor
Pros: Location are accessible to all like restaurant, public transportation, mall
Cons: No housekeeping to clean the room, stagnant water in the bathroom, poor internet access, overall i dont have a good experience in this hotel. I will definitely not recommend.
6,0 Good
Pros: I stayed in a female dorm. My bed was clean and the room itself, too. Huge building but wifi was working quiet good.
Cons: - not much space for all the luggage - tiny restroom - breakfast was ok - expensive airport shuttle
2,0 Mediocre
Pros: The front office staff and reception desk was very kind and very professional.
Cons: Our room needed many upgrades. The final cover foam mattress was hard and the sheet only covered a portion of the bed so our lower legs were resting on the vinyl instead of on a clean sheet. The bed was hard and the pillows were hard.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Accesibility to transportation, airport, mall.
Cons: Noise outside
7,0 Good
Pros: It's okay hotel. Also, it's getting old. The staff are great.
Cons: Old and bathroom are getting awful.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Strategic location to any of my daily activities during my stay
Cons: Maybe a little more cleanliness in the toilet, although sometimes guests factor cant be controlled.
2,0 Mediocre
Pros: Situated in the centre of Manila. Staff were mostly helpful. As is the case with most places, the security guards were really helpful and polite BUT, if you ask the guards here to get you a cab be very careful about the hustlers outside who fight each other to get to your cab so they can open the door and then stand there with theirs hands out expecting a tip.
Cons: This hotel was extremely disappointing. they say 'the camera never lies' well, sorry to say, in the case of Kabayan,it does. The first room we were given had really bad smells so they moved us to another cheaper room (but with no discount!)which smelled too. The hallways smelled also. Cleanliness was also bad.....rooms look clean but are not. In our second room there was a shower mat rolled up in the corner of the shower and when opened was black with mould and mildew. No complimentary water and no tea/coffee in the room although water was available from a room at the end of the hallways. Two small glasses were provided in the room so no choice but to walk to the "water room" every tine we needed more. We booked hotel transport to collect us from airport and were told told we had to pay cash and not just charge it to the room, very inconvenient. We went to the onsite restaurant and they would not charge it to the room, also very inconvenient. A person needs a degree to understand the complimentary breakfast menu and the quality of the food was poor! Finally, as is the case with most hotels in the Philippines, the aircon was noisy. Add to that a lot of noise coming into the room from other aircons and pumps, sleeping was difficult. Finally, the staff who were usually quite pleasant and helpful kept talking about the "redevelopment" that will happen soon and I think that because of this they have let their standards drop quite significantly. Sorry, but not good enough Kabayan!

Pros: everything
Cons: none
6,2 Good
Pros: Pool area and the one staff member there was nice. Oh, and the food was top notch. Aside from that, and the facility, I was not impressed. Mostly just frustrating.
Cons: They told us "no" way too many times for any place in the hospitality industry. To be fair, we're not that needy. They're just a bit too strict for their own good. For one, they refused to give us free wifi access until we had reluctantly signed up to be part of the Hilton rewards club. Also, if you like to enjoy the occasional smoke, this place is similar to a hospital in that you will be told to move elsewhere if you're not in the one place they allow smoking.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Beautifully designed hotel on Manila Bay. Depending on the room not always the best view but the rooms are comfortable and the staff are great.
Cons: Everything is an additional cost. Even printing out a few sheets of paper.

Pros: The property was strategically located near MOA and other restaurants so it's very accessible. The housekeepers- AJ et Al were also kind enough to make a lil swan out of their towel for my kiddo which made him so happy! Room-in food service was great as well the taste of the food.
Cons: Some personnel at the lobby/ front desk weren't as friendly and accommodating as compared to other 4-5 star hotels we've been to.

Pros: Spacious rooms. The view of the Manila Bay is nice. Polite staff. Overall great experience.
Cons: Few food selection on the buffet. Some outside walls need repainting.
5,0 Okay
Pros: Bed and linens
Cons: Receptionist said that i was upgraded to executive room from a deluxe room so i was glad about it. However when i went up to the room it seems like the room is the type is the same i was just moved to a different floor. Executive room which does have an access to the lounge so where's the upgrade there given that the room is the same and also i had zero view on a higher floor. I suggest next time hotel should just be honest on what they say to their guests
