Pros: I like how experiential the ryokan experience for us as Singaporeans. The service also for superb and the staff were very nice! Great place to stay!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent service and food Nice onsen Free transportation to JR Noboribetsu
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Quick response to messages and inquiry. I didn't book the shuttle from jr to the hotel and message the hotel one hour before my arrival. They came to the JR to pick me up. The food is so delicious. We didn't order Kaiseki course and just ordered the standard dinner. Really great. Hope i could try Kaiseki next time. Since they don't have a lot of room, there will not be a lot of pepole sharing the public hot spring. Overall everthing is perfect. A good experience of traditional japanese hotel.
Cons: Everything is perfect. Just the room is too hot even the air conditioner is set as low mode(in winter). We turn off the airconditioner and it is fine. Not a big problem.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were the most friendly and comfortable out of all the places I've stayed in Japan, even when comparing to 5 star hotels. It was a very memorable experience. The dinner was exceptional! Breakfast had a very personal touch with how everything was organised in a neat two level Bento Box. I really did have the best stay in this Ryokan.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Kindness of staff, quality of food, the onsen
Cons: The shuttle to and from station/village is not that flexible, but can be worked out. Would be beautiful a later dinner shift (7:30-8pm).

10,0 Excellent
Pros: Onsen! Outdoor onsen! Staff are great and friendly! Great breakfast! Best tatami and pillow we ever had!
Cons: No private toilet in room No wifi
10,0 Excellent
Pros: While Noboribetsu Onsen hotels are big and crowded, this ryokan is couple km remote from that area, and so quiet and good for resting. Host is kind, caring, and can speak English. Good for the family holidays especially when you have some senior member.
Cons: Payment is in cash only.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast and onsen
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The free shuttle is very convenient for us commuters. Worth your money, highly recommended.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: It was very traditional and interesting. The staff were very nice and helpful. The Onsen was nice. The breakfast was very Japanese and it was very interesting to me.
Cons: The booking page didn't state that there is a curfew at 9 pm. No wifi, no washing machine.
5,8 Okay
Pros: They have a shuttle bus which can pick you up at the station. In the onsen there are a lot of creams and oils and other personal care for your body.
Cons: It's located far away from the train station and attractions (death valley) which is a bit of a problem when travelling by train. Place is very expensive and old fashioned and seems less focused on English speaking travellers (everything was only in Japanese). We think is not worth that amount of money. The onsens are very hot (41 + 43 C) so we were able to sit in them for only a few minutes. They have an evening clock: you have to be in the hotel before 21.00. Breakfast and dinner are typical Japanese, including the dish Natto (fermented soybeans).
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Exceptional hospitality and outstanding meals!
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Very clean. Staff friendly. Good breakfast. Parking is in front of the property.
Cons: Not near the main onsen town. No activity at night.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: The service, onsen, location (walking distance to the jigokudani), dinner at room (kaiseki dinner with snow crab was excellent) The hotel itself is like a full entertainment center with onsen, ufo catcher, ramen restaurant.
Cons: nothing
10,0 Excellent
Pros: This was this ultimate onsen experience! The onsen area is much larger than the impression that the photos give, and so incredibly relaxing to be in. The staff were amazing, all the facilities clean, and there was a very large selection of tasty dishes to try at the dinner and breakfast buffets. I would definitely come back here.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: THE FUTON IS VERY COMFORTABLE!!! the cleanliness was great!!! even if it's a smoking room, there's hardly any smell for someone with a VERY sensitive nose like me!!!
Cons: it would be more convenient if there's a stool at the door step for elderly. otherwise, a full body mirror would be much appreciated.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Onsen was great! Many different baths inside and 4 open air bath, great sauna and even a cold bath. It was amazing. If you have a chance don't hesitate to visit it.
Cons: My boyfriend says that on the men side open-air bats were mostly closed(( Also the staing at the hotel itself was not so special. I think it's reasonable to stay somewhere else and get to onsen as a day visitor.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: room was perfect. hot Spring was fantastic. food was delicious.
Cons: actually there wasn't anything that we don like
9,0 Excellent
Pros: A variety of onsens offer you choices that fit your desires. The food and the hospitality were excellent. The room was spacious and comfortable.
Cons: Nothing.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Very beautiful Onsen and View! Very close to the Jigokudani
Cons: The Sulfur smell (not the property’s fault) but the room also smell like smoking. My friends has bad sinus so it was pretty uncomfortable.

6,7 Good
Pros: The staffs are very friendly and the location is very convenient
6,7 Good
Pros: Friendly staff, tasty meal and not as salty as those in other places in Hokkaido. Meal is a little bit over priced but it’s in good quality. We had the crab and the beef dinner. Great onsen water with the signature sulfuric smell at Noboribetsu area. Close to the sights and hiking trail is literally across the road.
Cons: The facilities are in need of renovation. The room ran out of hot tap water for two of the three nights we stayed there. The heating was not powerful enough to keep the entire room warm-we had to wear extra clothes when going to the toilet or washroom. Shower in the morning is challenging due to lack of hot water and heating. The breakfast schedule is impossible for us late risers. We had to get up at 7 am every day so they could take away the beddings and serve us breakfast, because the latest breakfast session was at 8 am. They have only one open air onsen pool, so the two genders of users had to take turns to access the open air onsen. The hotel should have been clearer about that in their intro. They don’t offer transportation from/to the JR station while other hotels do. Luckily the there is bus stop only minutes of walk from the place but it was not the most pleasant experience when you had to walk with two large suitcases.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: This is a pure Japanese hotel. The room attendant is polite, polite and amiable. The facilities are old, but don't forget that this is a Japanese style family hotel. The environment and equipment are satisfactory. There are two outstanding points in the hotel. First, the hot spring is excellent. Although it is smaller, the environment and charm are great! Secondly, it's really good to enjoy the meals indoors. The service attitude of the service staff is excellent, amiable and excellent. In brief, this is a pure Japanese Hotel, which makes me feel the meticulous service quality of Japanese and the warm experience at home.
Cons: Defects are also very obvious. First, the amount of food should be controlled, otherwise, it is easy to waste. Secondly, it's inconvenient to not provide bath towel and skin moistening products in the hot spring room.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Staffs are so friendly. The onsen is very good.
6,0 Good
Pros: the service is good and the faculties are nice and caring. others no more comments
Cons: no breakfast. literally the room is quite normal and does not deserve the money. the hot spring there is really limited, not as fancy as they promote. i don't recommend this hotel from my personal perspective
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Great onsen! The outdoor was one of a kind. Great hospitality and friendliness. Staff were really quick to attend to our concerns.
Cons: Nothing
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Nice little onsen which is open during the whole night, so you can take a bath before going to bed. We had a 2-room suite which was great and we enjoyed staying in the living room. Tea, water, sweets were availabe for free. Easy and relaxed athmosphere which you will enjoy after a whole day of sightseeing.
Cons: The room, building and furniture were a little bit "old fashined", but this suited somehow :-). Earlier it was a smoking room which you can smell slightly.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Staff is very nice. Place is clean and organised.
Cons: Hotel is quite far from bus stop. But just 5-minutes walk to Hell valley.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location - The onsen hotel is located opposite to the bus station and shops are just right at the corner. Good food - Many choices of nice food at buffet breakfast. The dinner is also delicious with seasonal Hokkaido food. Clean & comfortable room - Our traditional Japanese room is newly refurbished and spotlessly clean. Great services - Staff are friendly and helpful. Onsen - Big and comfortable with all amenities you need. Highly recommended. Would definitely stay here again.
Cons: Nothing.
7,9 Good
Pros: Location, service and facilities are good
Cons: English of staffs can be improved
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Everthing is perfect! The room is clean, tatami is rellay comfy. Onsen is worth trying espcially the outdoor one. Dinner was served by elder ladies, so my mom couldn't stand there watching them serving food/collecting the spares without giving a hand. Anything, I will choose this hotel again next time when I come to Noboribestu.
Cons: Nothing

Pros: best in noboribetsu and hokkaido. this is our third time to stay for 10 days. it was so wonderful, lots of varieties of onsen and buffet breakfast & dinner. all staff are so nice and supportive. everything has been prepared for you, plenty of bottled water, snacks, coffee, bath sets, from facial foam to slippers. i’d highly recommend you to choose a room with outdoor onsen. it’s definitely worth it, enjoying onsen while watching the snowfalls, so comfortable and romantic. special thanks to omi san and his supervisor, who have taken effort to make our journey so impressive. best choice!

3,0 Mediocre
Pros: This place is not traditional onsen, it’s a topical tourist hotel, travel agency tourist everywhere, No Manners at all, buffet food was ok, but messy by those tourist, might because of that, stuffs was rude. Definitely wouldn’t come back at all.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: There's a shuttle bus that brings us directly to sapporo tower from the hotel. That's a great bonus as it was snowing heavily on the days we were there. The dinner buffet includes snow crabs! There was also a great selection of cuisine to choose from. Walking distance to hell valley.
Cons: The hotel doesnt provide japanes style breakfast in the bedroom. So that was a great disappointment as we initially thought we booked that considering the price we paid were higher then a room of comparable standards in other nearby hotels. Dinner and breakfast provided were communal buffet style in the restaurant. Housekeeping ladies were a bit abrupt when they came in to set our futon beds. There was no knocks on the door, they came in and said something in japanese and proceeded to set the bed. It doesnt seem very japanese hospitality.

Pros: Staying at the hotel with an onsen is a very great experience. With all the traditional rooms and onsen experience, you can really feel one of Japan's unique culture. The place is just in front of the bus stop, so commuting to the place is easy (just note that the bus gets limited runs after the sun sets). The room was very comfortable and spacious enough. The breakfast was a buffet and a mix of east and western style breakfast foods.
