9,2 Excellent
Pros: Well thanks to all the staff for their super services specially Mr. Eric who was super helpful. The location is just perfect and i really liked my stay at the hotel.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Prestige Double Room with Sea View was cozy and spacious, very clean, equipped with everything you need, very comfortable beds, a kettle for coffee and tea, a very functional and clean bathroom, with excellent toiletries, towels of very good quality, also bathrobes and slippers, there are a towel dryer, magnifier mirror, large windows on the hall, efficient lights and a multi-channel TV. The large balcony, with chairs and table and the splendid panorama of the old port made it worth the spicy price for a room! We slept all night without covering the window with the curtain, so we could admire the extraordinary view during the night - the old port, the big wheel (which during our stay was not yet functional, unfortunately) and the hill with Notre-Dame de la Garde, the fairy lights. Breakfast was excellent, varied enough, with good quality products and well prepared (salmon, ham, cheese, eggs, sausage, bacon, fruit, good coffee, yogurt, pastry, pancakes, jam, chocolate, milk, cereals, fresh juices and so on. At the reception there is a colorful living room for relaxation, with very good free coffee for the residents of the hotel and various magazines. The staff at the reception was very friendly and smiling, they helped us with restaurant recommendations, with tourist orientation, taxi order etc. The elevator is quiet and fast, I never waited too long to reach 7th floor. We will definitely stay at this hotel when we come back and we recommend it to everyone.
Cons: The furniture and carpet are a bit worn, but they were very clean.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Location, location, location and the most amazing view seen from the inside of the room framed by the large window. As we travelled with our son, we stayed at a rather large room with a big bathroom and everything we could need. We decided to pay extra for the breakfast that had a good enough choice and was very pleasant to eat on the balcony overlooking the port.
Cons: Wished that the pillows available for a 5 year old would have been smaller. We did not ask for new ones, because noticed it already very late and we stayed just one night anyway. Other than that, everything else was great. Wish we could have stayed longer.
7,9 Good
Pros: Location, excellent view from the balcony, very nice and helpful staff. Nice idea with "honesty bar".
Cons: Breakfast room service is to basic for the price.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: View and balcony.
Cons: No expresso machine
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful location and fabulously friendly and helpful staff. View was amazing over the port. Room was cosy but more than adequate with interesting interior decor. Restaurant staff were welcoming and the food was refreshingly delicious and different.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice and fresh
Cons: nothing
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Location was excellent. Room very quiet even though we overlooked the harbor and Main Street!! The breakfast for 18 euros was well worth the cost.
Cons: The restaurant was closed the week we were there but was scheduled reopen after we departed.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location with lovely views over the port and cathedral. The interior is quirky, fun and very design-led so will be liked by any modern art lovers. Overall a fun place to stay
Cons: The breakfast seemed very expensive!

10,0 Excellent
Pros: This place was an absolute dream to visit during our one night stay en route to the French Riviera. The building is an architectural marvel and carries all the charm you could ever expect from a boutique property in France. The amenities, staff, and room alike lived up to the highest standards and left us in complete admiration. Albeit the city itself likely won’t ever make it on our top list of recommendations to any future travellers, this property was spectacular and definitely a gem to be commended.
Cons: We did have drainage issue in the shower, leaving it to overflow rather quickly, and the wifi signal was extremely weak within the room itself. However, these were minor issues and only mentioned to assist with management in rectifying the issues for other guests and don’t reflect our image of the property in the slightest.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Great spa.
Cons: Bar was understocked and very quiet, sometimes not even staffed.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Bed very comfortable. Nice spa. Super calm.
Cons: The bar was supposed to close at midnight and last order was at 11:30 pm. We arrived at 11:28 pm and everything was already close.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is a 5 minute walk from the bustle and restaurants and shopping of Vieux Port but in a quiet and secluded street. It has a spa which is great for relaxing, fabulous breakfast, great staff and good quality snacking if you are not up to going out for dinner. It’s an old characterful building with understated modern rooms.
Cons: There are no views from the hotel and I didn’t find a lounge but there is an outside patio which is great in the spring and summer and the rest of this very comfortable and stylish hotel in a vibrant city makes up for it
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Full marks to the architects who turns this 19th century townhouse into a contemporary hotel. So many architects would have ruined the character to maximize profits, but here they took full advantage of the building’s character, while giving it all the style you want in a modern design hotel. The service was friendly and professional - the staff seemed genuinely enthusiastic to be working there and were keen to tell us about the hotel’s history and conversion. The breakfast and bar are superb and the spa in her basement is brilliantly designed. Only a short walk from the hotel to all the bits of Marseille you could want to see! Our room was big, with high ceilings and a great bathroom (the shower had room for six people - not that we availed ourself of that opportunity!), and the toiletries from Hermès were a nice touch. We didn’t get to use the private island as we were only there for a night, but that’s just another reason to return, isn’t it? All in all a lovely experience.
Cons: No big deal, but pricing that doesn’t include breakfast is always irritating, particularly at this level.
7,1 Good
Pros: Did not live up to expectation as not very clean and not well maintained.
Cons: 1st room had a strong smell of urine and we were not ordered an alternative. Instead we were forced to upgrade.

Pros: Beautiful Room Wonderful view Great staff
Cons: Restaurant dinner (9 course) was over priced and pretentious
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The view from my room was spectacular! Actually I had choices between 2 rooms, we pick the 2nd room because the 1st room was missing the safe's key
Cons: The last 2 turns getting to the hotel was super tight! I scraped my passenger's side rear view mirror leaving the hotel. Then again, it could be that I'm not that good of a driver
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful location by the sea, excellent service and homey atmosphere!
Cons: What’s not to like!
9,2 Excellent
Cons: I had hoped, and specifically asked, for one of the front rooms I had on my last stay, but despite booking in February and making the request then, and again in a follow-up email, I had a back room.

Overview Reviews
In the heart of the Old Port, The Grand Hotel Beauvau, invites you to a luminous and exclusive "Marseillais" stopover. Entirely renovated in 2016, this historical hotel within Marseille maintained its timeless spirit with renowned guests such as George Sand and Frédéric Chopin. The Grand Hotel Beauvau is conveniently located near public transportation to reach any destination within the city or for the simple pleasures of Mediterranean lifestyle.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: The Hotel is centeally located in Vieux Port area and wallking distance from cruises attractions restaurants and shopping area. Stass are friendly and helpful.Rooms are spacious bed is comfortable.. And all supplies from body and hair care to coffee and tea are of good quality brands. Cons: Nothing
6,7 Good
Pros: Location was perfect.
Cons: Needed to make a request for our room to be serviced ..... not good! Staff in the breakfast room were not very efficient...
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent view and very spacious
7,5 Good
Pros: The bed was outstandingly comfortable, had a lovely nights sleep there. Also the toiletries provided are very luxurious and I like that they aren’t leaving individual plastic bottles for each guest, instead opting for large refillable bottles on the wall. Being able to check out at midday is a lovely luxury too. The bar was a lovely spot to watch the port in the evening. The barman was very friendly. I did think the drinks were expensive, I live in London and am used to paying ridiculous prices but these were a little excessive. The breakfast is lovely, a wide variety of breads, pastries, fruits, cereals, etc. Everything tasted fresh and delicious. However, I do not think it is worth €25 per person - you could eat a lot cheaper in a local cafe/bakery.
Cons: Some of the decor looked a little tired. Providing disposable slippers is not environmentally sound, neither is the shower cap/shoe shine extras.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast OK but would have liked more choice of hot food. Location excellent
Cons: A minor point but the bathroom door in the second room we stayed wouldn't close properly. The bathrooms are starting to look a little tired.

Cons: Mirimar restaurant on the Marina waited 2 hours for our food lots of people were complaining especially the French customers in there
10,0 Excellent
Pros: It’s a fantastic location, stunning views with the Vieux Port and the whole Center of town at a walkable distance. Staff super helpful and kind but not in an ostentatious way ! Everything you can wish for for a healthy or a gourmet breakfast in front of the most amazing view A selection of pillow so you can make your own choice
Cons: This is not a new building so you could hear a baby crying or your neighbour showering but not to the extent it would disturb you unless you are very sensitive to noise.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Spectacular location and views, overlooking the marina and Fort Saint-Jean. Service was excellent, Dante’s Skylounge is small but eye-popping view of the marina, and dining at Les Trois Forts was excellent.

7,9 Good
Pros: Very good location, though somewhat hidden. The breakfast was excellent.
Cons: The room had a a rather parsimonious design and structure. The atmosphere was rather mixed, with some kindness and coldness, at the same time.
7,9 Good
Pros: Breakfast was delicious, very central location if you arrive by train. (very closed to gare) Hotel has it's own car parking place
Cons: I kindly asked staff at reception desk to check out late, because my flight was in the afternoon. (I offered to check-out 2-3 p.m, if it could be possible) Ms. Charlotte informed me normally they do until 2.00 p.m., but she can check if its possible to check out at 3 p.m. She supposed to call me, but she didn't. After 30 min, I went to reception desk once again, and she informed me latest check out at 1.00 p.m. During our conversation she told latest check out as 12.30, It was unkind, not to inform customer in proper way, and changing the information all the time. Very basic thing which is applied all around the world. (I have to mention all the staff in not rude as Ms. Charlotte. During my check-in the gentlemen was very kind, and supportive.)
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Good breakfast, directly at the St. Charles! Nice room!
Cons: The area at the St. Charles seemed to be kind of scruffy.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff. Very good breakfast. Great location
Cons: Everything was good.
7,9 Good
Pros: Secured underground parking available at the hotel. The hotel is also just outside the main train station and the metro, which was really convenient to visit other parts of the city. Great view from the room - pano view of the city from the basilica on the hill top to the port.
Cons: We were given a room that was just beside the lift. It was relatively noisy as one could hear the lift movement.
1,0 Poor
Pros: Deputy Managef was very nice enough to acknowledge our complaint about their food , quality and labeling, in their bar and the attitude of one female staff re my questioning .. most things
Cons: Most things except the location.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location for the train station, some cafes nearby for snacks and light meals, not so good for restaurants. We walked into town, which was some distance, so unless you're keen to see the neighbourhood, bus or train into the city centre would be a better option.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Everything. Great hotel and value
Cons: Maybe a few more pillows in the room
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Nice spacious room, good breakfast
Cons: Reception got upset that I hadn’t booked a three-person room and paid extra to accommodate our 6-month-old (we travel with her folding cot so there was no extra effort for anyone). Holiday Inn advertise free accommodation and food for kids so I’m not sure why they were grumpy about this. They did decide to let the baby stay with no extra charge in the end but made it out to be a special concession.

Pros: The bed was comfortable and Hotel staff were very nice and helpful.

7,1 Good
Pros: Lovely, warm pool and outdoor terrace area. Quirky art work. Friendly, helpful reception staff. Nice L’Occitane toiletries. Overall, nice hotel but a few little extra frills could make all the difference.
Cons: Food and drink very expensive (mediocre buffet breakfast €19!), bar staff could improve their customer service and the rooms were fairly basic considering the price. Bit of a walk up the hill from the Harbour.
8,2 Excellent
Pros: The staff was great, the room clean, quiet, & spacious, and the location well within walking distance to many local attractions.
Cons: There is no van or shuttle service from the airport (the taxi cost 50E).
7,0 Good
Pros: Great location.
Cons: One of the towel was dirty and I didn’t bring it to the reception because my partner stopped me. We tried to have the car in the parking but it was so complicate to get the ticket and get another one from the reception. Finally they’ve told us they will take care and the day after we found out that no one took care of it ,so we had to go through the same silly story with the ticket ,parking and etc which took us too long time to handle.....
8,8 Excellent
Pros: The staff was excellent!! The room was comfortable and nice.
Cons: Breakfast was not included and it was very unfair....

Pros: The room was good. When taking a bath this morning, I couldn’t turn the shower off. Also no conditioner for the hair
Cons: We weren’t too happy with the main course of the market menu.

Pros: Staff could do more for you. No matter what their role was they were so nice and helpful. Facilities were top class.
Cons: There wasn't much. I thought more information about the place and facilities in the room for guests to read or on the TV would have been helpful. Eg times the restaurant and spa were open, menus, towels available at pool etc. All good stuff but helpful.

Pros: Large bedroom and bathroom
Cons: Dark bedroom, bad WiFi, no plug sockets near bed 2 kilometers to town
10,0 Excellent
Pros: A real warm and friendly couple run the guest house. It was an oasis of calm, such a pretty hidden patio garden away from the noise of the city. So we slept very well. Breakfast was great and everything was just perfect. We will be coming back. Its also very well located to walk to shops and places to eat.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Lovely interesting quirky decor - a feast for the eyes! Nice breakfast in a relaxed home setting. Lovely small patio. There are interesting shops and restaurants in the area.
Cons: I had forgotten how hilly Marseille is, so this felt like a bit of a trek with luggage - my fault for not looking at map properly, though buses do pass along the street.

Pros: Great location , cool interior , thoughtful fun owner who made the break extra special
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Location, just cross the street from Marseille St Charles train station. All the attractions are around the old port area which is about 10-20 minutes walk. Host Caroline is great, provided home made breakfast, good recommendations and very responsive.
Cons: No elevator, can be a little hard for getting big suitcases up. Caroline was nice to help get out luggage down.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Host, Caroline so easy to communicate with. Our room was spacious with lots of natural light, but had drapes & shutters for night time. The wee en-suite just perfect. The neighbourhood was quiet and access to train station is only moments away. We enjoyed chatting to Caroline over our breakfast, she is so welcoming. Highly recommended and historic premises.
Cons: Nothing to complain about. Perhaps a wee bar fridge would be useful for water & perishables but it’s absence did not detract from our stay. Thanks Casa Ortega for your graciousness.

The epitome of luxury, this grand hotel occupies a striking building adjacent to Marseille’s historic Panier district. You can enjoy a pastis aperitif on the terrace with views of Notre Dame de la Garde Basilica, before dining on Mediterranean dishes in the Michelin-starred Alcyone restaurant. Work out in the fitness room, swim in the indoor pool, or unwind with a treatment in the chic SPA by Clarins. Five minutes’ walk away, boats line the quay of the Vieux-Port, in the heart of the city.
7,0 Good
Pros: The interior of the room was lovely.
Cons: I was put in a room with a view to the back alley where people were drunkenly screaming off and on all night. I realize that my rate for the room was excellent for this hotel but the location of the room was an abomination.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Gorgeous hotel with very comfortable beds and room, excellent service and perfect location for sightseeing. The decor was beautiful and it had a Clarins Spa with a good selection of services.
Cons: The breakfast could have had more variety given the price range of the hotel.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful conversion with careful attention to details. Magnificent location in the midst of the old city with breathtaking views. Luxury accommodations at a very fair price.
Cons: Mediocre breakfast offerings. Lack of staff supervision. Not an efficient use of personnel.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Locación, serviceall
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Hotel was immaculate and very well equiped. The staff were very pleasent and helpful and always available. The hotel was out of my normal pay range. But was worth every penny (cent).
Cons: I didn't feel safe after dark away from the hotel. I always felt there was a potential for trouble, but actually saw any.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Super clean and very large room compared to other french hotels. Extremely delicious breakfast!
Cons: Nothing.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Gorgeous spot tucked into the hillside. Spacious rooms with private balconies. Everything a guest could desire and more. Several areas to sit and take in the views. Gracious staff, chef delivers a wonderfully delicate meal with expected French attention to taste and presentation. Coming back again next year!
Cons: Private, quiet area away from larger tourist locations. Hotel is less then 2 years old. Wonderful modern touches with a thoughtful layout of the property. Staff are very attentive and knowledgeable.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The best tub and shower I ha e encountered in a long tome
5,4 Okay
Pros: Location!
Cons: Room temp. control and Bath/Shower Temp. very low. Almost like outside pool temp.
9,7 Excellent
Pros: Everything. Hotel service was outstanding. We had a traveling delema and hotel took care of it immediately.
Cons: Food in restaurant very expensive
7,5 Good
Pros: Beautiful building in a superb location. Good facilities, clean, airy and comfortable.
Cons: When one pays for three people to stay ( two adults, one child) it behoves the hotel to provide facilities such as towels, cups, glasses etc for three without having to ask. In addition, the WiFi did not work throughout our two day-day stay. Eventually told of an alternative conference / meeting WiFi and password, which still didn’t work in our room meaning the only alternative was to work in the lobby. Finally, noisy staff chatting and moving furniture around in the early hours of the morning below our room are not conducive to a good night’s sleep!

8,8 Excellent
Pros: Funky modern hotel with lovely bright room.
Cons: Bit noisy concrete strcuture so take earplugs.
2,9 Mediocre
Cons: The reception is so unprofessional and with unacceptable behavior. We will never ever stay in a mama shelter hotel ever again. I would strongly suggest the management to improve their staff at reception.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Design of the hotel is cool, room was nice and bed super comfy!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Almost everything, the rooms, the bar / restaurant, the interiors, the breakfast, the cost
Cons: A bit far from the port but still amazing

Pros: We had less than 24 hrs in Marseilles so this hotel was a great value for our stay. Room was small but comfortable. The decor is hip and kitschy. Wish we had more time to explore the bar and restaurant on site.

Cons: too much noise
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location, silent room
Cons: The entrance to the adnex was very dark, but that was quickly fixed
6,3 Good
Cons: It was very expensive for the size of the room and the double deck beds were on a second floor, with very low ceiling. Practically, the top bed was not used.
6,5 Good
Pros: Reasonable price Great location a short distance from the port
Cons: Bathroom smelled a bit funky on arrival though got better
10,0 Excellent
Pros: A good mix of old charm and modern amenities
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Nice decoration, good atmosphere, very central location. Super helpful and fabulous staff. Comfortable pillows. Overall a very nice place to be at. I didn't experience their breakfast- but I bet it would have been delightful!
Cons: I'd advise the staff to ensure everything is thoroughly clean. (bathroom door was covered with something not that pleasant). A room good for 1, but resulted being rather small room for 2 people- no floor space to open 2 cabin - size luggage bags.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: in old part of town, port. lively area, but hotel very quiet
8,3 Excellent
Pros: The location is very close to the city but not also around all the noise in a tiny quiet street. The room is nice and clean, comfortable bed, and nice bathroom.
Cons: The shower could be a bit more taking care of - so you get better water pressure. There was a strange smell in the room, everytime we came in after few hours outside - felt like something agains bags or cockroach.

A stay at Hôtel Edmond Rostand places you in the heart of Marseille, within a 5-minute drive of Place Castellane and Notre-Dame de la Garde. Featured amenities include a business center, express check-out, and complimentary newspapers in the lobby.
7,9 Good
Pros: The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The hotel is quite small and personal and has a nice reception lobby area/ breakfast area to the side/rear which is also open to locals as a cafe. The hotel itself is located in a good area in being the antique area. The street itself is quite narrow but typical of Marseille with external timber shutters. within walking distance to the vieux port and restaurants and there are also some small restaurants near the hotel and a boulangerie and some nice shops. The breakfast good with a selection of pastries and baguette and hot food french sausage and scrambled eggs. Hot drinks were from the coffee machine which you could help yourself to. Our bedroom was quite small and faced onto the street ( was was noisy at times if you kept the window open). The bathroom although small had quite modern fittings and was nicely decorated and the bed was comfortable. And there were toiletries ( soap and shower gel ect) They offer a luggage service and there is a communal WC and shower down a narrow stair in the basement.
Cons: It has a very small lift and the stair is quite steep. Our room was not cleaned one day but that might have been our fault for leaving the do not disturb sign when we were out for the day by accident.
7,1 Good
Pros: Good location for taking boat from the "vieux port" in the early morning. The breakfast is nice and room is clean.
Cons: Our room is far away from the photo I saw via the booking application. It's a very small triangle space under roof, noisy, with a special smell from WC just besides the bed, nowhere to escape.
7,9 Good
Pros: It was mostly fine, i would book it again.
Cons: Small elevator and air conditioning above the bed.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Personnel is very helpful.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Clean and simply room. The bed was comfortable.
Cons: Parking is not on site
7,9 Good
Pros: Very clean, there's air-conditioning, was able to secure kettle from reception to make tea, bed was very comfortable.
Cons: Location isn't bad but it is away from the actual main attractions. And metro station is 5-10 mins away by walking. I was given a attic room which has low ceiling even for my short stature. Wish there's fridge in the room.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: The Staff was vey gentile, the room super clean, the neighbourhood is very quite and peaceful. It is about 20 minutes walking from the centre or 10 minutes by metro or bus. Overall was a great stay, I would recommend to everyone that want a quite place to visit the city without sleeping in the chaotic part of the city.
Cons: I would have preferred a fridge in the room, but it is not listed in the facilities so I didn't expected it.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Good price, good location, great shower, not too loud, no problems! I would recommend it / stay there again.
4,2 Okay
Cons: There were a few large insects running around in the bathroom. The building had the world's smallest elevator which stopped at the third floor and did not go up to the 4th floor where the very small room was located.
