Pros: We were welcomed by Agnes. Our room was ready and to a very high standard. At night it was very quiet and we loved having our window open. Loved the bathroom, with a nice shower and good towels. Breakfast was very special. Excellent croissants and the local butter on the baguette was wonderful. Her apple compote had hints of orange and lemon. Her tea selection was just what I wanted. We had parking in a nearby garage, which we appreciated. I highly recommend it.

Pros: Hotel was in a good location for facilities. But difficult to ride a motorbike to.
Cons: All OK
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was well located in the centre of town, near all the restaurants which looked out on to the town park. The staff were very helpful and the rooms were modern and extremely clean. We ate breakfast at the hotel which was very nice and plentiful, it was presented really well with great service. The hotel is excellent value for money and was a brilliant one night stop over for my family of five. Highly recommend.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The room was very clean and tidy, the hotel had a very clean sense to it overall. Located just at the middle of Niort city centre, it's very close to everywhere (Niort isn't a very big city anyway). The breakfast was OK, could definitely do with some improvements though. Overall, a recommended place to stay.
Cons: Nothing negative to say
7,1 Good
Pros: Room clean and everything in good condition. Location central. Friendly owner/reception. Good value for money.
Cons: We expected more due to the high rating (>9). We had a room facing the street and had noise disturbance at night (caused by the ventilation system of the cinema on the square nearby?). Room without safe, airco and minibar. Shower soap dispenser does not really fit with interior (could look a bit nicer). If the hotel would invest in soundproof windows and at least add a safe in each room, it would merit the current score.

Pros: The lady on reception was very friendly on our arrival. The price is excellent for an overnight stopover. Heating worked very well. Breakfast was OK.
Cons: The room was smelly. Suggest the rooms be aired for guests on arrival. We had the window open for most of our stay, on leaving the hotel we left the window open and by the time we got to our car, the window had been closed. No coffee or tea making facility. When we were leaving the lady on reception had changed her demeanour, she hardly even bothered to look at us whilst giving us our bill??? She obviously does not need us to return.

Pros: The friendly staff. Vibrancy and decor.
Cons: Nothing.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: We liked everything and thought that the room price was good value for money
Cons: We booked this hotel because there was a restaurant and after a long day of driving this meant that we wouldn't have to go searching for one. When we arrived we were informed that the restaurant was closed. We queried this on leaving the next morning and were told that the restaurant is always closed on Sundays. This information was not clear when we booked. Maybe we missed this detail but it should have been more obvious.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The room was spacious, quiet and very comfortable and a quick dip in the hotel swimming pool was a welcome treat after a long journey on a hot summer's day. The staff were welcoming and helpful in every possible way and the hotel location is perfect for a short walk into the centre of town where there is a wide range of shops, cafes, bars and restaurants. We ate out on this occasion but came back to the hotel to sit outside for an evening cup of coffee on the quiet garden terrace.

Cons: Nothing
5,4 Okay
Pros: We booked this hotel as a pit stop on a long drive down to the south of France, we’ve stayed here before doing the same journey, it’s ideally located just off the main road so only a 10 min diversion for setting off the next day. We booked for 2 adults, 2 children and a dog. It clearly said on the booking dog allowed as we’ve booked many times before with a dog. When we arrived at 8pm we were met by the owner and told no dog, I explained I’d booked with a dog and showed her the booking, she then claimed to speak no English and finally allowed us to have the dog in the room. We were charged an extra 6 euros the next morning for the dog which I know is not a lot but it’s the principle of it! I wouldn’t stay at this hotel for more than just a stop gap to the next destination, it’s not in a attractive location and it’s basic but if it’s to use as we did then it’s fine, it’s clean, close to the main roads to the major towns and reasonably priced. Just don’t book if you are taking a dog!

Cons: All was perfect

Pros: Clean room, very comfy bed, choice of pillows! Easily accessible from the motorway.
Cons: Staff were running around trying to get everything done... Didn't know how to make a cup of tea! We were on a DB&B deal - food was sub standard - worst we had during our week in France! Restaurant understaffed! Service was rushed too...

6,7 Good
Pros: Good location for cycling westwards out of Niort - found nice Chinese restaurant 500m up the road but nothing nearby - outside space to have drinks overlooking major trunk road - WiFi works - good secure cycle storage negotiated after many e mail exchanges - breakfast not bad - no evening menu
Cons: Charged 10.50 for breakfast when notice in dining room says 5.50 - nothing on notice board in reception details 10.50? No convincing explanation but we found this out after we paid. Fairly dated and tired - strange bathroom design means that you almost trip over toilet as you enter bathroom and land in bath - entertaining
5,0 Okay
Pros: Location the sat nav took us to a different location to where the hotel was
Cons: The room was two small there was an electric fire Inches from the bed which we thought was very dangers
5,0 Okay
Pros: We liked the location of the hotel and the beds are comfortable and clean.
Cons: Our sliding bathroom door wouldn't close and had a large gap which would have been okay if just one of us was staying there but wasn't ideal with two people. We couldn't find a drinks machine and asked for some bottled water at the bar for our room. They tried to charge us 3.50 euros for a very small bottle. Needless to say we didn't pay it (we might have expected this from a 5 star hotel but not a budget hotel - most of them have drinks machines). We drove down the road to the garage and got a large bottle for one euro. We have stayed here many times and the service has been okay but the staff had a "take it or leave it" attitude and we would now choose another hotel on our way back from Spain.

Pros: The manager was friendly and helped with the registering process. I understand he was fairly recently given the post and I hope he initiates much needed improvements.
Cons: The hotel looked rather shabby inside and outside and compared very unfavourably with another hotel across the road. The stair carpet was worn through in many places. Everything was very basic. There was only one chair and no wardrobe. We were joined by two friends and they could not believe the tremendous difference in standards between their previous night's stay in a Premier Classe hotel in Le Harve
5,0 Okay
Pros: It was cheap. They have a deal with nearby restaurants so you can get a discount on dinner. Staff were friendly enough. We were just passing through, so it did the job for one night.
Cons: The air coniditioner in our room didn't work so we had to open the window to get any kind of air flow. Breakfast was not very good. I don't expect much at these cheaper places, but they didn't even have any baguette - it was processed/packaged breads, some watery yogurts, and sugar-water in place of juice.
