Vert comfy and cozy
Would not stay here again
I liked the location and the size of the room.
Could not regulate the ac so the room was either way too cold or too hot. No ice. To drain the tub after your shower you had to lift a contraption near the tub which worked. I've just never seen anything like that before. There were stains on the carpet under the table. The 2 elevators are so small we could barely get 3 people in with our luggage. Not enough outlets.
Good location and value
Close to subways and amenities. Nothing fancy, but comfortable. Staff is very helpful.
Yogurt, granola and apples available anytime Free DVD lending service Comfortable beds; jet tub bath Noise level tolerable with fan on - being close to downtown means noisy streets
Very Nice Hotel in a Convenient Location

NOISE! Woke me up all night. From inside the hotell
Home away from home in NYC
The bedding is very comfortable. Love the old charm and the location! Plenty of space for 3 of us to stay in their junior suite.
The heating and plumbing are old and work inconsistently.
Great locaiton, but don't expect high end luxury a
Décor, location, and friendliness of staff
no fan in the bathroom so my smoke detector went off at 5:30 in the morning following my shower.
The staff was incredibly helpful with any questions that I had
Figuring out how to use the bath. The stopper is actually outside the bathtub.
Good location, my room was quite big for NY standards. The room decor was quite nice. Extra sink, coffee machine and iron in the room. Complimentary WIFI is a big plus.
The bed was much too soft, my shoulders didn't like it. :-(( There was a stange unpleasant smell when I entered the room first time. There was no tube stopper. The button for the lift in the lobby can kick you a bit. Interior is nice but rather old.
Nice hotel but the best was the location
Only complaint was that my room did not have a DVD player although the hotel info book listed a couple hundred DVDs available for free viewing. Normally this would not be a big deal but one evening we were tired and just wanted to watch a movie for a couple of hours. With the cost of DVD player under $50, adding them to all the rooms would not be that costly.
Convenient to businesses in midtown.
Location, room, bed, staff
air condition system 9very old) did not work very well, and hot water at shower was unstable (spams of cold and hot water) , very old faucets.
the room was nice it was clean and the lady that cleaned the room was very helpful and asked every day if she could do anything for us as a regular visitor to newyork this was a first
the lobby was very shabby and could do with up dating after all its the first place you see
Location, on-site bar and cafe, easy internet, excellent beds
Minor criticisms - bathroom/bath could be updated and heating could be easier to control/turn off.
The combination of American comfort and European slightly quirky sophistication makes you feel at home. Staff was very friendly and proud to serve. I didn't have time for the movies, books and arts but it gives a great touch to being there.
no!
the lounge area and jazz music
the hotel was overheated and rooms very old fshioned
The hotel room was nicely furbished
Regrettably the room was very noisy so it was difficult to sleep! The breakfast room was very tiny and you had to queue to get in
