Pros: Lady in Red showed us to our suite. We have had a chilled champagne and wedding anniversary cake waiting for us. The suite was spacious, however the ceiling on top floor (level 6) is low, so opt for lower floors. The food in the hotel's restaurants is excellent. The champagne breakfast was served every morning. Very friendly staff. Excellent location.

Pros: Totally worth the price. The dorm is big and clean. The roommates were trying their best to keep quiet. Lockers without locks are provided in the room.(Maybe you need to pay extra fee for the locks, I didn’t ask.) The staffs are very patient to help me out with the misunderstanding. I would highly recommend this hotel.

The beds were comfortable and had nice little shelves and a bed light. The dorms and the bathroom were clean. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. The hostel has a bar, which was a fun place to begin and end a night out. Basically, everything was great, and I'd definitely stay here again.

Pros: The hotel is good...the furniture is a litttle bit dark in the room but the bed and especially pillows are very comfortable.Amazing breakfast but there is not so much space so could happen that will have divide the table with someone else. There is a lityle garage but with a good price. The carpets in the corridors should be changed..they are dirty so ruin the impression of the quality. The position of the hotel is good but there is tram under the window so be careful if you want the total silence

Pros: I stayed there 4 nights on my first stay and 1 night on my last stay. Both times were great. A simple and discrete hotel. Safe neighborhood. There's a supermarket nearby as well as a pizza place (if you just want anything to eat) and of course the hotel restaurant. I was there on New Years Eve so I bought their New Years Eve dinner and was very pleased. I'm a vegetarian and they adapted the whole meal to accomodate my needs. And I didn't ask for it. I just mentioned to the waiter (Oliver) that I wasn't going to eat meat. What they did won me over right away.

Cons: Pillows were too soft, we turned the heating off and opened windows but was still too warm. Not too many eating options around but Lowenbrau was good. Also a great Chinese nearby.

Pros: This was a well located, traditional Hotel that is an eclectic mix of old Grandeur and contemporary decor. We initially had a most negative sense when we arrived at the Hotel as we found an expected envelope that had been attempted to be left for us, had not been accepted by reception, for what reason we could not ascertain? As seasoned travelers when we arrived the Hotel reception was busy and somewhat chaotic and not quite the warm welcome we had hoped for on visiting Munich for the first time on business. We were shown an underwhelming small classic room although appreciated on a high floor as we had requested. Then at 1.30am a pipe burst in the ceiling and water started steadily dripping and saturating the floor. On ringing reception they moved us to another room, but this time the air-conditioning was not working...so we spent a restless night after a hot day in Munich. By the morning we had deciding to move to another Hotel especially after an encounter with a rather dismissive male receptionist. Then everything changed when we met the Reception Office Manager, a professional and dedicated woman who had been with the Hotel for 15 years,(sorry we misplaced her name), when she quickly made a negative situation into a memorable stay for us. She offered us breakfast whilst she worked out another room for us and then to have the porter move our luggage into that room whilst we wait. Within 2 hours we were upgraded to a wonderful room and these action not only made us feel valued but are the actions of impeccable service of a staff member that had honoured her Hotel and also the Hotel's 4 star rating. Thank you. For our remaining 3 night stay we enjoy the ambience of the Hotel bar and restaurant facilities of which the food was excellent. We would return to this Hotel on a future trip to Munich.

Cons: Our room was a bit expensive for just a basic room. being right next to train station it got noisy at times. The main elevator was shut down so we had to use the service elevator which was very small only enough room for 2 people.

Cons: I didn't like my room at all. Although the bed was comfortable, the room was very spartan, with ugly décor and harsh lighting. There was no carpet on the floor, and the furniture just stood about aimlessly (e.g. a reading chair with no side table or reading lamp). It certainly wasn't a place to sit back and relax - just to sleep and spend as little time in as possible otherwise. It reminded me of a dormitory. Even a mid-range hotel can do a great deal better than that. Nonetheless, for a quick trip I would consider staying there again - it's not all bad!

Pros: Perfect situated, spacious room and very friendly staffs. A bit pricey, but the location is worthed, right in the heart of Munich - near to Central Station, Karlsplatz and Marienplatz. Also in front of christmas Market in Karlsplatz.

Check in was smooth. The service was pleasant and helpful. The room was clean, bathroom was nice (spacious, modern), and the view was as expected being between two streets. Bed was few comfy.
Cons: Their price for breakfast was very expensive compared to any other place I went. I didn't purchase the included breakfast as I thought trying out a few places would be fun. I never once ate there after I saw how the price was double what I paid for a full breakfast at other facilities.

A new-generation design hotel where the main focus is on genuine comfort. All 75 rooms have sound-proofed windows, individually regulated climate control, satellite TV with Sky TV (free of charge), radio, wireless LAN high-speed internet access, writing desk, direct-dial telephone and mini bar. The bathrooms have daylight and either a luxury rain shower or bathtub, professional hair dryer, heated towel racks. Pros: location was great as it was a five minute walk from the metro. we got the train straight from airport to the metro and then just a five minute walk. breakfast was very good. not much hot vegetarian choice, but loads of other choices so we filled up well. a very quiet area and lovely pool and gym.

Pros: We had booked 12 months previously so were surprised when reception indicated that there were no rooms available in our category. However we were upgraded to a Junior Suite on Level 6 and it was superb, with two toilets, a huge bathroom, large dining table to work on or play cards and a great lounge area. One of the accommodation highlights of our 10 week holiday. In terms of breakfast, I had spent the previous six weeks in the middle east so coming back to a European type breakfast was wonderful. The tables were a bit close together so we looked for space outside the main part of the restaurant. All staff were wonderfully friendly, variety of food was good. Free lattes' were a bonus.

Pros: This was our second stay at this hotel in 18 months. Whilst it’s not in the best part of town, it is extremely handy to public transport and amenities thanks to its vicinity to Munich Central Station, but also only a five to eight minute walk to Karlsplatz. The rooms are extremely comfortable.
In my opinion a Hotel must have:
1) A comfortable bed,
2) A decent shower,
3) Plenty of storage for large suitcases with the ability to unpack and settle in.
The Sofitel Munich Bayerpost surpassed those requirements. The beds are probably the most comfortable beds I have EVER slept in anywhere in the world (including my own). The shower has excellent water pressure and temperature control, and the rooms are spacious enough to stay in without feeling cramped. The decor and features are also extremely satisfying. I would not even contemplate staying anywhere else when I visit Munich.
I travel extensively world-wide and in my opinion this Hotel is up there with the best I have ever visited for a city stay. Not to mention the staff who are as good as you will find in any hotel in the world. They are efficient, professional, friendly and courteous, a credit to the hotel.

Cons: Something very weird happened, when I called room service asking for utensils and clean plates they said they will charge me 5 Euros for every time! I've never heard that a hotel charges for using utensils! not to mention a "5 stars" hotel. Very odd and very greedy. Also, I didn't like some of the staff they were very rude. On top of that when I and my family wanted to extend our stay with them, they tried to charge us with a ridiculous amount of money that we couldn't justify in any way so we decided to leave for a 4-star hotel instead. Sofitel sucks it's the worst hotel I've visited in all Europe. Not recommended at all.

Cons: Quite noisy, windows are definitely not noise-proof, and most of the rooms are in front of crowdy street. When we arrived there was no free parking place (you can't make reservation) in underground parking and we had to find alternative place. Fortunately there is city underground parking in hotel neighborhood, and you can recieve a discount for the rate if you stay in this hotel.

Asked for a dental kit, I was told they have it but I would have to come down to the reception to pick it up. Asked for some cutlery and a plate, I was told the same. Cons: Well, this is my first suggestion for families, avoid this hotel if you do not get the suite. We went with two kids, 16 and 2, we booked a family room (60m2), and we actully got two connected rooms (max 40m2), usable area much less because of doors. Explanation was in the wording: family room = two connected rooms suite = family room We also noticed the smell of smoking even though its a non smoking floor.

Cons: I wish there were more spots to hang out besides the bar and the small table by the entrance. It was also frustrating to use the metal lockers under the beds because they made a lot of noise when you slid them out and they would not flip all the way over. Occasionally, the staff at the front desk weren't present and the few times I had questions about the brochures by the desk, they were not able to answer it.

Cons: Because the night was warm and the room had no air-conditioning, we needed to keep the windows open. Unfortunately we were on the 1st floor, right above the street, whose occupants shouted and carried on all evening, only to be replaced in the early AM by the passage of seemingly countless large and very noisy trucks! Also, the late check-in time (3 PM) is inconvenient for travellers, forcing us to leave the luggage in a generic lockup with minimal security.

Pros: At first seems like a great location. Few minutes walking from the main station. The hostel is going though some renovation. I stayed in the un-renovated part. Rooms where clean and the bedding was very clean. The beds comfortable. The 1 shower was ok. So far so good.....until the early hours of the morning.

Cons: There was only 1 toilet/shower on the floor. 2 where U/S. There where a number of dorm rooms on the floor but it seemed very quiet and empty. I was travelling early the next day so went to bed around 11pm Saturday evening. I didn’t notice The windows where paper thin. I woke around 1am and the music coming from the club facing was SO LOUD! I felt I was sleeping in the club! After 2 hours trying to sleep I went down to reception to see if I could move to a room that didn’t face the club They told me it wasn’t possible (really? The hostel was empty!?!) but it should stop about 4am. I should also count myself lucky as in summer it goes on until 6am. The receptionist told me he felt bad for me in a very unsympathetic way. It there was nothing he could do. Not great. I left there feeling so tired and irritated. Might have been better off sleeping at the airport. Less noisy. I’d it wasn’t for this, I think it would have been a good place to stay.

Cons: When we booked this hotel.They said we have free car park.But after the checkout they said you have to pay half of parking money.Plus employees are very very very very disrespectful. They answer all your questions arrogantly.
