Pros: The location was great, about a block from the central station, so it was easy to take a train or tram to anywhere in the city. The beds were comfortable and had nice little shelves and a bed light. The dorms and the bathroom were clean. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. The hostel has a bar, which was a fun place to begin and end a night out. Basically, everything was great, and I'd definitely stay here again.

Cons: Their price for breakfast was very expensive compared to any other place I went. I didn't purchase the included breakfast as I thought trying out a few places would be fun. I never once ate there after I saw how the price was double what I paid for a full breakfast at other facilities.

Cons: Two issues come up. The some what limited breakfast choices for international tastes. The most problematic thing I encountered was locating the hotel. The large obvious sign that a walking irate time guest looks for is NOT CONVENIENTLY LOCATED. The hotel sign faces away from the street where I was directed to walk when arriving from the Central Train station. Took extra 30 minutes walking in the rain to locate the hotel. I Mentioned it to the hotel.

Unfortunately this property has blocked off access to the TV HDMI port and we could not plug it in. We have stayed at numerous hotels and this was the first property that prevented us in this fashion.

Cons: Staff was generally very friendly. Solely at the pool the staff was quite arrogant, unhelpful and not very attentive. On average a member of staff would come around every half an hour and then be overwhelmed when everyone wanted to order. Our order was also messed up twice. On the day we checked out we were first told that we are not allowed to use the pool as we are no longer hotel guests on this day, only after arguemnts were we allowed to stay in the pool. They then wanted us to pay 5 Euros for robes, as we were no longer considered hotel guests apprently (which is quite rude and unproportional to the 400 euro a night hotel room) We also wanted to order specific items that were available at the bar downstairs and it was not possible to organise these items to the pool, which we were told in quite a rude manner.

Cons: I asked that the beds be pushed together and the staff said they would come back to do it. After 7 hours when no one had come back I called to remind about this and ask that someone come fix a loud noise that was coming from the bathroom. Again, no one ever came. Also, a maid came barging into my room without knocking on my day of checkout an hour before the checkout time! I would expect WAY more from this hotel based on the rating and cost.

Cons: No fish in the restaurant. There's in the menu, but the waiter said they ran out of it. Also gym was broken, it is also very tiny, so I had to go to another venue instead. Please, fix the gym, make it larger if possible - we need to work out all those Munich wursts and beers!

Cons: The breakfast area was a bit crowded in the morning. When I stayed at the hotel, only one out of two elevators were working so it could take pretty long. The day I was checking-out, I was not convenient to take the stairs because I have my hands full of luggage. Had to wait three times for the elevator to come back with some space for me in it in order to go down to the lobby.

Pros: This was our second stay at this hotel in 18 months. Whilst it’s not in the best part of town, it is extremely handy to public transport and amenities thanks to its vicinity to Munich Central Station, but also only a five to eight minute walk to Karlsplatz. The rooms are extremely comfortable.
In my opinion a Hotel must have:
1) A comfortable bed,
2) A decent shower,
3) Plenty of storage for large suitcases with the ability to unpack and settle in.
The Sofitel Munich Bayerpost surpassed those requirements. The beds are probably the most comfortable beds I have EVER slept in anywhere in the world (including my own). The shower has excellent water pressure and temperature control, and the rooms are spacious enough to stay in without feeling cramped. The decor and features are also extremely satisfying. I would not even contemplate staying anywhere else when I visit Munich.
I travel extensively world-wide and in my opinion this Hotel is up there with the best I have ever visited for a city stay. Not to mention the staff who are as good as you will find in any hotel in the world. They are efficient, professional, friendly and courteous, a credit to the hotel.

Cons: We had to pay the first additional stay at a much expensive rate instead of the last 2 nights’rate. We believe the hotel took advantage of our situation. It was a mistake I had made...booking for 2 nights instead of 3. Breakfast was not included either. The spa was not as clean as it used to be. So were the rooms...especially the floor.

Pros: The location was perfect, very close to a supermarket and the main train station from which we could get the U-Bahn and S-Bahn. Staff very helpful - they kept our bags before and after our visit. The room was spotless and was cleaned daily. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was excellent.
Cons: The sheets were a little too warm at times and there was no tea/coffee facilities in the room but it wasn't really a problem.

Pros: Breakfast has cereals, whole wheat bread, milk, cheese ... I felt quite satisfied about that. Everyone in the room stayed silent after 10 o'clock and I had a good night's sleep. The location is great because it's very close to the subway, supermarkets as well as famous tourist attractions like Marienplatz, English Garden ...
Cons: The rental price for the padlock is 1 € 50 cents and you also need to pay for the rental of towels. Shared baths for women are often quite cold . You will not have a microwave in the room .

Pros: Location is very close to the main train station. Very convenient if you want to leave for the airport via Lufthansa Shuttle bus as well. Basically you get what you pay for, the beds are alright, bathroom is large. Clean and neat. Staff is helpful and friendly. There is an elevator. Breakfast is a nice touch, it's a buffet with bread, cheese and ham, cereals, jam, tea and coffee.
Cons: Metal storage cells under beds. Very inconvenient as you have to pull the whole thing out to open. Also, bring your own lock. Otherwise nothing.

Cons: Because the night was warm and the room had no air-conditioning, we needed to keep the windows open. Unfortunately we were on the 1st floor, right above the street, whose occupants shouted and carried on all evening, only to be replaced in the early AM by the passage of seemingly countless large and very noisy trucks! Also, the late check-in time (3 PM) is inconvenient for travellers, forcing us to leave the luggage in a generic lockup with minimal security.

Cons: Noisy rooms, the walls are very thin and you can hear the neighbouring rooms all night. I had some other guests smoking cannabis close by, which stunk out my room. The room keys which are cards constantly wipe themselves and 2/3 times over a 3 night stay I had to go up and down to reception regularly.

Cons: The bed was super hard, even though I'm not a lightweight. The bathroom wasn't really clean, the sink had a really big chip which should've been fixed. The closet was really used. It was super hot although I turned off the heater. I'm allergic to house dust mites and told the hotel beforehand. My nose was stuffy the whole night ( I've had worse, but it wasn't great)
