Pros: The best host and hostess! Everything was fantastic!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent facilities and very friendly hosts
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The space was a lot bigger than we expected - apart from the comfy bedroom and bathroom, there was a livingroom with a kitchen, minibar, tvcorner, sofa etc. The bed was super, great shower and topnotch domotica for lights, screens, music.
Cons: Everything is very modern, but the tv-corner is built around an old architectural feature in the house. From an architectural point of view this is absolutely charming, but the banquette is not comfortable at all. On the other hand, we didn't even expect to have such an area at our disposal, so what are we complaining about ;-)
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Loved the space. The owners were terrific helped with dinner and lunch reservations. Stocked the refrigerator with beverages.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The hosts are incredibly hospitable and tended to every request we had. The property is a mix of new and old with all the modern amenities one can expect. The property rests just outside of the old town which makes it an easy walk from the train station.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The hosts were super accommodating and just lovely people, they did their best to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The house and the appartment itself were an architectural delight. Everything from finishes to the quality of the bed linen was outstanding. The breakfast table was laden with all sorts of delicious goodies, it was by far one of the best I've ever had.
Cons: There were no major disappointments with our stay, but the only thing that didn't work for us (and I'm nitpicking here), is the ability to open the windows without the roller blinds flapping over them in the wind. As a result the room was a little warmer than we would have liked.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Patrick is a very friendly host and very accommodating. The apartment is beautiful, and the bath is also extremely nice. It's a great place to relax after a long day. The high-tech room control options are highly interesting as well.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Spacious apartment with a great architecture, a great mix between old beautiful furniture and modern design with really high standard and comfort. A wonderful host that will make sure you are happy with your stay. Good location, easy parking, great breakfast; simply a excellent B&B!

The front desk is staffed during limited hours. This hotel has 3 meeting rooms available for events. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
7,5 Good
Pros: Loved the quirkiness of this little hotel and also the great food they serve in their restaurant! Not talking about the beer, a must try!
Cons: Our room was by the entrance and because there it was a beer dispensing machine in the lounge, every 30 seconds it made a lound bang! I didn`t sleep all night because of this, very very annoying! Plus all the people coming in from town very late into the night, shouting and beeing very loud. Not saying about the people smoking by the door with the door open and the smoke coming into the room, as there it was a bit of a gap betwen the door and the floor.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Really nice and cozy room. Comfortable bed and nice shower. Staff was friendly and check in quick.
Cons: Breakfast was ok. I don't like when all the jam and butter is in little plastic containers
7,9 Good
Pros: Rooms were clean, attractive and well ordered; traffic noise wasn't intrusive, despite proximity to main roads. Facilities were good.
Cons: Breakfast: not a lot of variety for vegetarians; the selection was poor compared to other chain hotels I have frequented, but if you're not a vegetarian you'd probably have no cause for complaint.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Get hotel with comfortable rooms and lovely breakfast
Cons: Nothing
7,9 Good
Pros: Great brewery and restaurant next to the hotel! The Flemish stew was fantastic. The hotel room was clean and comfortable. Easy drive to the airport.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Great place!
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The location, rooms and staff are amazing! Our dog was also welcome. Excellent food in adjacent restaurant, and beer fresh from the brewery
Cons: Nothing to really dislike, but parking could be little bigger.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Staff were lovely and so helpful and very k knowledgeable about beer. Very comfortable room with excellent air con. Would very happily stay again and again. Thank you.
Cons: Slight smell in the bathroom but have experienced similar before in Belgium hotels so not something I'm ovey concerned about as very clean.
5,4 Okay
Pros: Breakfast was reasonable
Cons: Location was part of the Het Anker Brewary. Rooms were quite poor and very noisy. No power point in the bathroom, no shelf in the shower and cheap coffee packets in a glass! Breakfast was reasonable. We had issues (twice) with blown circuit breakers (turned out to be a shorting kettle) and parking boom gate failure. WiFi dropped out regularly
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable bed!
Cons: No air conditioning.

Featured amenities include a business center, complimentary newspapers in the lobby, and dry cleaning/laundry services. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: The mattress
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Very comfortable, helpful staff
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Great multiple-lingual staff with good customer service, no request was too much trouble, and within 5 minute walk to Vismarkt and Grote Markt
Cons: There was a bit of a convoluted walk to get to the elevator; the historic features that the property is celebrated for were not present in the wing I was staying at; the free wi-fi required manual log-ins every few hours, and it would be great if there's a gym
7,5 Good
Pros: Bedroom was very comfortable, friendly staff, good service
Cons: Breakfast was common and overpriced. Lift didn't work
6,7 Good
Pros: Stunning refurbished church, spectacular suite!
Cons: Details - too modest and small bathroom, sober room decoration, fixed hangers (as if we’d steal them :(, limited stock in mini-bar, limited choice of room service.
2,5 Mediocre
Pros: n/a
Cons: Booked 2 Junior Suites: Check-in slow and hard. Bed feels like sleeping in the dessert, "Bed" hard and well used (no mattress on the boxspring, just a little (LITTLE) cover). No water pressure in the shower. Un practical room, no space to walk straight, because the "Bed" is in the middle/centre of the room and the (Church) walls are round. Towels are thin like kitchen towels. TV LED lighting stay on (even when the TV is shut down) impossible to sleep with this high volume light.
7,9 Good
Pros: Lovely room, great staff.
Cons: The double bed - there are easy ways (IKEA) to cover the gap between the 2 mattresses, I had the feeling I was sinking in the bed whenever I was close to the middle. Or get a good big mattress. The furniture had some scratches and spots were on the armchairs, plus the stained-glass window had some cracks. Some of these issues can be tackled without major costs and it would improve the overall quality of the room.
7,9 Good
Pros: Room and concept
Cons: Breakfast too expensive. Value for money not justified
10,0 Excellent
Pros: A unique experience ..fabulous hotel converted form a church and the décor is amazing. Very friendly and accommodating staff and lovely breakfast.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: The bedroom was extremely big and was pleasantly surprised. Also loved the decor of the room and it was spotless.
Cons: The bedroom was a bit noisy, could hear noise in the hallways. Also air con was very loud.

Mercure Mechelen Vé has a historical background. The hotel is located in a former fish smokehouse and cigar factory. The interior has a luxury look and feel which can also be found in our facilities. Enjoy the wellness, be active in the fitness area or try the golf court, which is located a little outside Mechelen. After a busy day, you can eat the most delicious dishes in our restaurant Vé Manger followed by one of our cocktails in the Vé Lounge.
7,5 Good
Pros: Easygoing and friendly, made us feel at home. The gym was small but efficient
Cons: The shower in our room was not well planned. The pavement in the shower very slippery due to a large quantity of water which tends to spread all over also outside the shower area
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful hotel in a very surprising and beautiful building perfectly located in the old center of Mechelen, with views to the canal. Rooms are big and comfortable. Wellness area is great. Staff is very friendly, efficient and always attentive to make your stay the best as possible. Parking is easy in a public parking just across the hotel. All that you can visit in the city is at a walking distance and you have many shops and restaurants close by. We really recommend this hotel to enjoy a nice city trip in this beautiful place.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Nice hotel, great location for Mechelen centre, nice area outside to sit and enjoy some food
Cons: Air conditioning didn’t really do much and it was quite warm when I stayed, only a small problem in comparison to all the good stuff, and more than likely a one off in my room
5,8 Okay
Pros: The breakfast was great. Sauna, pool, etc... very clean and cool! The hotel was very busy but the attendee was receptive and it was not noisy.
Cons: 1. Parking !!!! It's very hard to park around the hotel...And you have to pay for the parking 2. The room was ok, but no door or wall is separating the bathroom and the toilets... It should be corrected to preserve our intimacy...especially for the toilets. 3. The minibar was empty and unplugged...So I don't see the utility if you need to wait 4 hours to get cold drinks.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly and helpful staff , very clean
8,8 Excellent

The breakfast is excellent. The restaurant is excellent. The bed is very comfy in the big room. The hotel lend me an electric adapter for the electricity.
Cons: There is a coffee machine, but I couldn't operate it. It will be very nice if they provide toothbrush.

Cons: I Requested 2 quiet rooms but 1 of the rooms was on the street side which has a lot of noise at night. Our bathroom didn't have any ventilation which caused a bit of mold forming on the ceiling. The bathroom of the other room was fine.

Cons: Room located by street = street noise at night. Sometimes noise from hallway as well. Felt like I didn't have much privacy. For the price, I expected more than just the basics in the room. Felt like the focus was on the breakfast area and the location.

5,4 Okay
Pros: We need to be close to where my son stay and so it sufficed.
Cons: They we busy with a much needed renovations. The renovations was happening on the bottom floor and our room was on the top. Our room was in desperate need of a vacuum - we found 2 cigarette buts and a huge dead fly on the carpet behind the curtain. Underneath the bead was also very dusty.

Pros: We had to be close to where our son lived, so as far as location went, it sufficed.
Cons: There was renovations underway- on the bottom floor, our room was on the top floor. Our room was in desperate vacuum - there were 2 cigarette butts and a huge dead fly on the carpet just behind the curtains. The carpet underneath the bed was very dusty too. We will never return there.
7,9 Good
Pros: On reception Shakir was very helpful and cooked us a very nice ommelette for breakfast. There was a very nice walk along the adjacent canal and for the evening restaurant La Vista 10 minutes walk away serves very good lobster and fish. English spoken at most places.
Cons: Parking in centre of Mechelen is difficult but if you drive to Douaneplein on the outskirts there is free parking and a Hendriks shuttle bus every five minutes to the central Groote Market, there is no charge on a Saturday.
7,5 Good
Pros: Cleanliness
Cons: The fact it advertised it had a bar( whilst strictly true ) I was really disappointed that the bar only served bottle beer as I prefer draught beer.
