10,0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was very accommodating after we explained our situation. They even allowed us late checkout. Great place
6,0 Good
Pros: The location was good and it was decorated very retro and on trend. Not a typical hotel chain where everything looks the same. I also liked that they had complimentary coffee and water in the lobby and the room.
Cons: The fan was broken in the room and I mentioned it to two people at the front desk. Both said that they would send someone up with a replacement. That did not happen. Front desk associates were chatting with the valet or using a personal cell.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Super friendly staff, great location, fun vibe!
6,0 Good
Pros: the way the hotel had a theme of music and was different to normal
Cons: When we got there, there was another charge of $16.00 to use the pool and bar which we were not told about previously. Also we used the pool but there was nowhere to get drinks until 5pm, would have been good to have somewhere to get drinks.
4,0 Okay
Pros: Nothing.

9,0 Excellent
Pros: The Eliot was a pleasant surprise. The room was quiet and very comfortable with a great shower. The location was great, an easy walk to all the Prudential Center attractions, and less than a mile from Symphony Hall. The staff were amazingly sweet and friendly. Valet parking was convenient, and getting on the Pike to go home (west for us) was super-simple -- it's literally around the corner.
Cons: Well, we still think Boston hotel prices are absurd, so those could be lower :-). But we've spent as much for teeny tiny rooms in noisy locations, so we were pretty happy. We didn't try the restaurant. Maybe next time.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We love the quaintness of this historic hotel. The neighborhood was lovely, and within walking distance of everything we wanted to see in Boston. The staff were very courteous and helpful each time we exited our room. We could not have been more please

7,0 Good
Pros: The hotel had a classy, historic feel to it, with nice furnishings and very clean.
Cons: I was disappointed that there was no common space where you could sit and relax outside of your room. I didn't realize that this was the case before booking; I just assumed it would have a sitting area. Also small bathroom with too little counter space.

Cons: For the price, room was small and cramped.
4,0 Okay
Pros: Nice staff let us check in early. Had no problem with us hanging out in the lobby when our flight was delayed.
Cons: REALLY tiny room. Kind of a snooty vibe, even though the "Downtown Crossing" neighborhood is a little sketchy. Be careful walking around at night!
8,0 Excellent
Cons: Room had a strange layout, was very dark. Only had 1 window to an inner courtyard, very dark.
7,0 Good
Pros: Bellhops, valet & room service staff were top notch. I had a problem checking in. They noticed & tried to make up for inflexible front desk.
Cons: Checking in was a problem. Front desk was inflexible. Woman who appeared to be the manager came out & she actually snapped at me. I was shocked. Another person at front desk tried to tell me that something that was a hotel policy was a law.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: The location
Cons: The bathroom door was a sliding wooden door that does not lock and staying with multiple people where a bathroom door doesn't shut/lock probably was the only odd thing
6,0 Good
Pros: The location was fine but there was no breakfast.
Cons: Had problems with noise from the HVAC unit and had ongoing problems with the TV.

9,0 Excellent
Pros: The room was amazing! All the touches I expect in a high end hotel (robe, slippers, good mattress).
Cons: That parking fee isn’t clearly specified anywhere, it’s great to get a deal on a hotel except when you have to pay an additional $44.00 (in my case that was a light fee). Also, hallways were noisy but it may have been due to a function.

7,7 Good
Pros: The location was he best part of this hotel. Everything downtown was a short, safe walk (T stops, Fanuel Hall, Quincy Market). The room was small for the price but it was well kept. Everything was clean and staff was quick to respond to any requests we had.
Cons: Our AC/Heater broke on our last day there so we had to move rooms because it could not be fixed that night. It kept making an awful buzzing noise every few seconds and would have made sleeping impossible. It was about 8:30 at night and it was really the last thing we wanted to do. Fortunately, they had another room available, and they told us it was an upgrade (it wasn’t), but it was still a process to have to pack all of our stuff up and move it. No discount was offered for the inconveniece. Otherwise the stay would have been perfect.
9,1 Excellent
Pros: Staff very helpful.
Cons: The price of brunch.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: the friendly staff and beautiful reception areas
Cons: faultless
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The quality of service at the Langham is exceptional. I've never stayed in a hotel where the staff were universally excellent, the accommodations so truly comfortable, and so many lovely extras included. I stayed following an historic blizzard in Boston, and being in that space, so warmly greeted, every need considered -- I can't say enough about how wonderful this establishment is. I would stay again, every time I'm in Boston!

Hotel Commonwealth - Boston - Building
12
8,9 Excellent (3 264 reviews)
R5 100+
Overview Reviews
Located in Boston (Fenway–Kenmore), Hotel Commonwealth is within a 10-minute walk of House of Blues Boston and Fenway Park. Featured amenities include complimentary wired Internet access, a 24-hour business center, and express check-in. Planning an event in Boston? This hotel features 12500 square feet (1161 square meters) of event facilities.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Room is well appointed and staff is friendly and accommodating
Cons: The hotel advertises that the resort fee covers a coffee and fruits or pastry at Eastern Standard but eastern standard is consistently out of either fruit or pastry! The false advertising is a bit of a let down.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The Staff was amazing, so professional and helpful. Located near Fenway Park, not too far from historic hub. Public transportation was easy to access.
Cons: Would have liked better token "on the go" breakfast option. No access to ice without housekeeping delivery.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We were upgraded to a suite, decorated in BU memorabilia. Given that my wife and I attended BC, that was ironically funny. The suite, however, was spacious and lovely.
Cons: No criticism.
5,8 Okay
Cons: This hotel is just basic. It should be priced at $500+ a night.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The Hotel Commonwealth is a great hotel, nice staff people who are always available to help you. The number one thing about this hotel is location location location. Kenmore station is literally right out the door, the green line can get you anywhere in the city in about 20 minutes. The rooms, even the more affordable ones are spacious. The beds are comfy with the swishy hotel pillows that everyone loves. The entire hotel is managed well, and the interiors are beautiful. I highly recommend room service after a long day of walking the city, the late night menu has some delicious bites at reasonable rates.
Cons: Only things I would caution about this hotel, the free breakfast is a is simply a small pastry (if they have not run out) and a iced or hot coffee with milk and sugar. If you want a room with a view you need to pay more and call in advance to confirm you have been given a room with a view of the city or fenway park. Last draw back is parking. The valet is over 50$ a day. We checked in on a Friday and out on a Monday. We intentionally left and checked in the way we did to avoid paying extra for parking. In the end we were only charged for two overnights because we left early.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is beautiful and modern. Everyone was very helpful from the valet to the checkin staff. The room was spacious and clean. It has a very modern look for the Fenway area.
Cons: The hotel was almost too modern. The hotel in very close to Fenway and that is why we chose this hotel. Unfortunately that is all it is really close to. They have a valet but this come with a steep parking fee.
3,0 Mediocre
Pros: It is a good location.
Cons: apart from location I did not like anything else. I had the feeling that they are trying to charge me for everything and treat me as if I was going to run away without paying. Overall it was a very uncomfortable feeling. The room was large but very badly designed. The heating was like in the highway hotels - either working too much or not working. Way too expensive for it offers.

Pros: Your front desk staff's check in and check out process was exemplary! Thank you!
Cons: Yes, the fact that we had to go to the Eastern Standard for a cup of coffee.

Pros: We drove from NJ and arrived before check-in. Our room was ready. The room was very spacious and nice. Having a smart TV in the room was a plus. It was within walking distance of all the sights we expected to visit. But be sure to have tour walking shoes.
Cons: It was a 30 min walk from the Freedom Trail. Only two small free water bottles provided. Were charged $58 per day for valet parking. We only stayed 2 days.

9,6 Excellent
Pros: Location was perfect and the facilities were clean and comfortable! The staff was very helpful.
Cons: I didn’t like that breakfast wasn’t included in your stay for the price you pay for the hotel. You are paying for location which is perfect and the views are gorgeous. They do have a star bucks in the lobby as well as the restaurant but still provide you with keurig coffee in the morning which is nice!

Pros: Location, staff, restaurant
9,0 Excellent
Pros: The location was excellent. Walking distance to Little Italy and the Historic North End and the trolley stop is right outside the hotel as well as the dock for the Harbor Cruises.
Cons: They had no parking available to guests at all. If you wanted to park in their lot it was valet only and $68 per night. I feel like you pay enough for the room that parking should be less than the other available lots that are close but it was not. This was not well advertised and when we pulled up to the hotel we had no idea what to do.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Location, view, cleanliness
7,9 Good
Pros: Lovely building and room. Great location.
Cons: Poor service in the restaurant with main course brought to the table when only halfway through starter. Bearing in mind the cost of the food (and $22 for a glass of wine) plus the fact that at the time there were only four tables occupied in the restaurant it was not the service that we expected, but the restaurant manager was not interested and said it was normal to serve food when “fresh” regardless of timing.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Nice room, good view and location. Staff were very helpful. Concierge Jeffrey was very helpful in obtaining our boarding passes since business center was closed for repairs.
Cons: Had several instances where room keys didn't work in elevator or room entry. Room was hot, AC didn't seem to work the first night. Complimentary or more reasonably priced breakfast would have been nice considering we paid for 2 rooms. $29 per person

Pros: Lovely hotel and great location

Pros: Nice rooms and bathroom.
Cons: This hotel doesn't provide free bottled water in the rooms, at this price point that is unusual and poor practice.
6,7 Good
Cons: No turn down service. On the Saturday, when we got back to our room at 16h00 it had still not been made up.
7,9 Good
Pros: The room is very nice and spacious with great bathroom. There is a TV in the bathroom mirror built-in. Very cool.
Cons: Front desk service was not great

Pros: Racist
Cons: Racist folks. Will never go back. In fact, I believe to have been overcharged. I will contact Amex on this.
10,0 Excellent
Cons: The price is always so high.
9,7 Excellent
Pros: Location was excellent. The room was very nice and comfortable. Excellent farm to table restaurant and bar.
Cons: Although they had a parking garage, the elevator to the lobby was out of order so you had to take the stairs and the stairs lead to outside the front entrance. Very inconvenient if carrying any bags from the car and also because of sub-zero temps that weekend. Also no in and out access for self parking at $40 per night. If you leave you have to pay again.
2,0 Mediocre
Pros: Room service very fast, and extremely polite room service staff. Beleaguered front desk staff dealing with irate guests kept their patience. They need more support from mgmt. Restaurant is good; really good coffee in lobby in early a.m.
Cons: Multiple, extended power outages occurred; Hotel said due to construction, not their fault--yet construction was on their premises. Fire? alarm problems, PA messages = epic fail. Insufficient instruction to guests. Requested wakeup call--did not receive.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The bedding (down comforter, great pillows), and the air quality/climate control were outstanding. The room was spacious and beautifully appointed, and the bed was actually more comfortable than my bed and home (and I'm fussy). The pool was excellent.
Cons: No coffee maker in the room. Refrigerator packed with overpriced bar stuff. I was annoyed, but the NY Times outside the door in the morning put the smile back on my face.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Location was great with excellent service and nice trait ants around in the plaza
