Cons: Sea view rooms not worth the money. We paid €430 for 1 night stay with a garden view and were offered a sea view at an extra €130 euro. Making the total for 1 night nearly €600 euro! Our friends had booked a sea view room at €470 euro for the same night and ended up overlooking a very busy noisy road and the decor of the room was not as impressive as our quiet garden view room. We would definitely recommend saving yourself the sea view noisy room surcharge. The sea view is also overlooking a bland seascape. The receptionist who checked us in was a little off hand after we decided not to accept the offer of the sea view. Think he must have been on a recent sales course for upgrades and add ons! Breakfast was adequate with a good cold selection and poor hot selection. Car parking an extra €25 euro a day and an extra €25 euro per person to use the spa.

Cons: Bathroom - the bath with shower over was dangerous to say the least despite there being ample room for a walk in shower. Breakfast was just OK. Not a 5* breakfast in my opinion. I didn't like the partially patterned glass 'viewing window' into the bathroom. Swimming pool area on the roof was tired and in need of a revamp. Had to pay for the room upfront rather than on check out which I thought was unusual. Staff on reception were efficient but no more than that-complaints were neither acknowledged nor forwarded to the correct department . Lady on Guest Relations was more than helpful but we were checking out at this stage.

Pros: I truly enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The location is more than perfect and I loved the reception how every night you can get free lavenders to put under your pillow. The restaurant at the roof is also amazing J do recommend the gold rosher dessert

Cons: Little info offered on check in, had to ask several times, but at least they answered all my questions, so it's not that bad. Also, the jacuzzi only had beams and not bubbles, and I was a bit disappointed, but every bath I took was very relaxing and enjoyable.

Bathrooms are well equipped.bathrooms had those light heaters which was very good for this December weather when we were visiting. Breakfast is very good with a varied spread. Fruits and cheeses were great in breakfast and staff was very hospitable and looks after the guests. The heated swimming pool and steam and sauna are excellent and very relaxing. In fact last day we had breakfast in the room and they gave very good breakfast with everything like juice and eggs.

Cons: The lack of concierge desk to help the leisure Traveller like us.The staff at the reception were friendly and well behaved but we did not receive any help regarding local sightseeing places and main areas.we asked about the beach area they generally told us about the beach side but did not tell us where it is located and how can we go there.we hired a taxi who took us to the beach.the beach side was amazing. The location of the hotel is a bit away from the Centro. Although Malaga is a small place and the centre of the town is about 20 min walk Hotel is located very close to the main train station.

After asking the staff in the reception, we were told that the jazzuci was at least 28 degrees, but for sure it was colder than that. So Unfortunately it kept us from the spaarea and pool, which elsewise could have been great.

Pros: Big room and large balcony (we had a Superior room) - good quality breakfast and friendly staff. Parking is reasonable too at 14 Euros each 24 hours - and you can come and go as you please from the garage which is directly beneath the hotel with lifts direct to your floor. Wifi good (not brilliant but OK) and overall impression was good.
Cons: Location isn't ideal for central Malaga - city centre is a good 10 mins brisk walk, BUT the value for money this hotel offers is worth the compromise.

Cons: The hotel is strangely noisy inside. For example the house keeping starts early and you can really hear them banging around etc. Literally no English language TV channels. Parking is quite expensive too. €54 for 3 days. Pillows aren't great either. One is to soft and few and two is to many. Beds might be a bit hard for some.

Cons: - Room - not enough heat and noise insulation in windows - our room was getting cold and the heating system could barely keep up. Outside noises can also be easily heard - Although there is a fitness room in the hotel, it is very meager. - Spotty update of standard room items during cleaning visits - we had to ask for missing coffee, toilet rolls. Water bottles and soap bars were never replaced.

Pros: Fabulous little hotel! When we arrived we could get our room before the official check in time which was nice. I have appreciated the fact that we had requested a double room, and they have made the effort to provide rather than a twin room, and also we had a nice little balcony with a view on the street. The room has (Spanish) character and was comfortable, with everything we needed. Reception have helped me checking if the Caminito del Rey was opened in the morning to make sure we were not going to El Chorro for nothing. They have also helped us with directions to the Tablao where we had booked a Flamenco show, and ordered a cab for us this morning as Saturdays there are less taxis circulating around. The hotel is in a quiet area of the city but barely at a 15 min walk from the city centre / historic centre, the staff is exceptionally kind and helpful with everything, there is a bus stop just in front of the hotel with a few lines to commute to different areas of the city, by cab from the historic centre it is only 4 or 5 euros. We had breakfast at the hotel (12 EUR) only once and the choice is great. The 2 other mornings we did not but only because we wanted to have Churros :) The hotel is one street behind Malagueta beach. I would like to insist on the kindness of reception staff (we saw about 4 or 5 of them). We have already decided to stay on that same hotel again next time we come to Malaga :) Thank you so much for everything. Gracias por todo !

Cons: Balcony very overlooked. The main problem was with the underground car parking facilities (significant extra charge). The small hotel car park has numerous columns and narrow bays, meaning that manoeuvering is incredibly difficult. Unfortunately, parking nearby (on the street) is metered, so parking is a problem in this hotel!

Pros: The staff were very helpful in getting me a change of room when my original one had a stale smoke smell and then changing me back when the replacement room had a loud electrical buzzing sound when the lights were on. (I just left the window open for a couple of hours and the odour faded enough).
The staff were also patient with me as I tried to conduct the conversation in Spanish (how else am I to learn?), and would easily resort to English when I struggled.

Bathroom door basically opening right to your bed. Really really poor value for the money we've paid.
