Cons: It’s not a 5* hotel. The room we paid for an upgrade at €355 was not worth it although nice . There was only 1 small bottle of water between my wife and I and everything else was charged. No dressing table with mirror. My wife could only use hair dryer in bathroom (which always steamed up) as nowhere to sit in the suite to do make up etc. Breakfast not included??? Surely not at €355. Come midnight it became a little noisy outside on the streets but to be expected from staying in the city. Don’t get too excited about the roof top pool and bar.....no bar and its a little shabby, perhaps convert to a sky bar with something more becoming to an expensive hotel

You're right next to old town, stores and restaurants are right in fornt of you when you leave the hotel and the room (standard room with king sized bed) was really really nice (modern, clean and the bed comfy as hell). Cons: At the pool there where many people leaving their towels at the beds/ chairs, so you did not have place to sit. The people didn't come back so it was occupied for no reason. There could be staff who picked up the unused towels ( you can see if they did not leave anything else there), so new people could have a place to sit. There was only one of staff I the bar and he was very bysy serving all people so he did not have time to check the beds/ chairs.

Just coffee machine and very small coffee cups Went up to the roof and had to make a fuss to find a table for lunch. It was packed out with parties of people. Noisy. No papers on Saturday morning.

Cons: "The Fitness Center". Yeah, I think it's enough for anyone who's only looking to do running, cycling and workouts without equipment. I'm sure a lot of people are McGiver's and can work with that, but equipment enthusiasts will be better off going to an actual gym nearby.

Big bathroom with jacuzzi bath. Breakfast was included and was a healthy buffet with lots of fruit and good coffee (Nespresso), there were scrambled eggs and bacon but we didn't try them. Beautiful breakfast room, with carved marble pillars. This is one of the many magnificent houses that Malaga have restored.

Cons: The room we had (201) was not suitable for older people. We are not infirm exactly but are getting on, The worst thing was that when the lights went out it was completely dark, only a glimmer of light under front door. There was a pillar and other objects you could walk into if you got up in the night. We tried all the lights and settled on one reading light but it was still as bright as day. I have told the hotel they need to look at this, a light in the air shaft outside the window would help. Also the bath was too high and with no hand rails I failed to get into it!

Cons: When I asked about the water for taking medicine, he told me to drink from the water in the bathroom , instead of get me a bottle of water and he said I drink from the bathroom water I didn’t die. And the water smells,and no body answer the phone no housekeeping neither room service,as if this a punishment of booking in their hotel.

Cons: You know those hotels that look good in pictures and when you get there you realize it was a really nice hotel... just 25 years ago. Myea... Old Furniture and furnishings, rather dirty. First night. Tired from the trip. I come up to the room. Warm as a sauna. I try turning on the A/C .. doesn t work ofc. To their credit, they did repair it the same night (at 2AM) but from the discussions i had with the Staff, it s a known problem that happens rather oft. There were still food rests on the floor from then previous Guest in the Room. The minifridge in the room was not working. I told the Staff about it on 2 separate occasions. Wasnt fixed in the 4 Days i stayed there. Far from city center but at the same time not really near the Beach. Really underwhelming for the 200E a night we paid there. Would not stay there again.

The drink/food prices were reasonable, the pool was a good size, the staff were great, the location was ideal if you do not mind walking a little. It's about a 15/20 minute walk to the beach and quite central to all the busy areas with restaurants/bars in the city. A shout out to the bar staff, particularly Jośe who made me and my girlfriend a number of Strawberry daiquiris which were are go to for our stay.

Mostly I need and want to thank receptionists Carolina and Beatriz, they were fantastic with us, they advised us for restaurants, roof bar and what to visit... They were perfect!! Pros: The pool was fantastic for a cooling dip after a day of sightseeing. As it was our honeymoon we were treated to a bottle of bubbly courtesy of the hotel.

I was impressed with the reception: Rosa was super helpful and friendly and went to great lengths to research and explain the tourist information we asked for. You need to remember, though, that this is a hostel, not a hotel, and as such, does not have the same facilities (air conditioning, breakfast, etc.). Great location - very close to the center and most of the tourist sites.

Pros: I liked the welcoming and friendly staff and having a kitchen for guest use gets a huge thumbs up from me. Location was okay and having some form of air-conditioning a plus. Internet access was adequate for my needs and staff even helped me with my various daily quieries. I would definitely recommend La Casa Mata Central for anyone holidaying on a budget.

Cons: The room faced to a narrow street and our balcony was right in front of another balcony. They woke us up at 7 am talking very loudly from there, it felt like if someone was in our room. Also the fan was maybe not enough powerful and it was hot in the room. There was just one bathroom in our floor and it was quite busy in the morning, we had to wait to have a shower.
