Pros: The best part about this hotel was the location. It was nice and quaint and very close to great shopping food and drinks. Only 15 mins from airport- 20euros.
Cons: The rooms were a bit small. No irons available- must send all clothes to the laundry to be ironed at a pretty outrageous rate. The food was just okay. No late night menu. Went to the bar which stays open til 2am but no food there either. Teeny tiny pool with literally 6 lounge chairs.

Pros: Nearly perfect location at port, alongside main city park, and at the edge of the old town. Wonderful balcony looking out across the waterfront. Nice bathroom.
Cons: Front desk staff had no clue regarding local information. Concierge rarely available. Inadequate drawer/storage space. Smallish room. Promised fix of broken thermostat never happened. Extra hangars requested never came. A single 33cl water bottle provided for a 3 night stay. Bar/snack area on first floor rarely open.

Pros: Rooftop Bar (Terrazza) was excellent - amazing views of the city and waterfront as well as great service.
Cons: The rooms were very basic and ours had a view of pretty much nothing.

Pros: The staff were very helpful in getting me a change of room when my original one had a stale smoke smell and then changing me back when the replacement room had a loud electrical buzzing sound when the lights were on. (I just left the window open for a couple of hours and the odour faded enough). The staff were also patient with me as I tried to conduct the conversation in Spanish (how else am I to learn?), and would easily resort to English when I struggled. Thank you.
Cons: Only improvement would be a holiday that never ended. But, I shall return to Malaga, and would happily stay at Exe Astoria again.

Pros: This hotel is well located very close to the old town, just 20 minutes walk from La Rosaleda and about 25/30 minutes walk from Maria Zambrano train station. Separate shower cabinet and bath with shower over in superior room.
Cons: The austere black and red furnishings will not be to everyone's taste. Thin towels (one with a hole in it); lukewarm water (until adjusted by an engineer); charges to use a business centre computer; chaotic breakfast room on Sunday morning with orange juice that was just coloured water.
