Cons: Pool a bit grubby, bed for us oldies a little low
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The hosts are very welcoming and speak multiple languages fluently. We received great advice on what to do and where to go around Carcassonne and some great history of the area. (While being served wine and infused water). The location is peaceful and is fantastic. You can walk to the walled Cité de Carcassone if you want to. The swimming pool is a nice escape from the summer heat! Breakfast was amazing And included fresh fruit, homemade yogurt, breads and preserves, and eggs and sliced meats and cheeses.
Cons: Everything met or far exceeded our expectations.

Pros: Lovely hotel set in beautiful gardens/grounds. Lots of character, very sympathetically renovated and we were made to feel very welcome by the owners. We had two good meals in the restaurant next door and the breakfast in the hotel was excellent. The location was perfect for us, being a few miles out of Carcassonne but easy access to the centre via a local bus at only €2 return per person! We would certainly recommend this hotel.
Cons: We liked everything!
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Lovely hotel with well-appointed room, good outside space and a nice pool. Very nice breakfast.
Cons: We were a party of six and had booked and paid for six people. However, when we came to check out the hotel said we had only booked for four and had to pay a supplement. A phone call to booking.com resolved the situation, but beware if you are booking for a larger group. The owner's rather aggressive handling of the situation soured an otherwise very pleasant stay.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: This beautifully restored chateau was the perfect spot for our stay. The welcome we received from Emma set the tone. The rooms were lovely and spacious, and the pool provided much needed relief after a hot day at Carcassonne. Be sure to have dinner at the restaurant - one of our favourite meals in France. This really was a fabulous spot!

Pros: The owners were very nice and very helpful. Parking on location was a plus. The location was great and within walking distance of the old part of Carcassonne. Breakfast was very good.
Cons: The pillows on the bed were not comfortable.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The Hotel du Pont Vieux is ideally situated for the medieval cite (8 minutes walk) and also for the bastide, just across the bridge. Hosts were so welcoming, including Isidore! They recommended local restaurants (all great!) and advised on local info. Bedroom was very pleasant, with a view of the garden. Spotlessly clean. Breakfast room was lovely with the option of sitting in the garden in nice weather. Beautiful fresh pastries, homemade brioche and Catherine's homemade jams - delicious! Carcassonne is beautiful - obviously the walled cite but the lower city is definitely worth a visit - the cathedral, market, theatres, cafes & restaurants, shops and the Canal du Midi.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Location, very kind and informative personnel, quiet and clean rooms, private parking.
Cons: It is a bit complicated if you want to park at the hotel because of the policy of the town to close the road for traffic in summer. We had to park somewhere near, walk to the hotel to get the remote control, go back to the car, drive to the street, use the remote control to lower the road block and get to the hotel.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Located on a cute street about 10 mins walk from the entrance to the walled city. Bathroom was very updated and included a heated towel rack. Several eateries are within a minute's walk.
7,9 Good
Pros: Location was excellent
8,2 Excellent
Pros: The staff was cordial and helpful. There is a terrace on the top floor with a spectacular view of the Castle. This alone made the place worth the cost. The rooms were spacious and charmingly decorated. We had a room to sleep 4 ppl and it was comfortable for everyone. I definitely recommend it.
Cons: The air conditioner was not working. The bathroom had a strong sewage-like smell (we kept the window wide open and closed the bedroom door to contain the smell). The breakfast was priced higher than the content's worth.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Helpful and polite hosts, fabulous location midway between cite and lower town, cleanliness, breakfast, Isidore. We arrived late but were provided with passcode and keys to get into room.
Cons: Not much really

Pros: WIFI, staff, room, 3rd floor patio view were all great!

Pros: The hotel is a family own small property but was maintained very well. The host is very warm and helpful. They have their own garage for parking of a few cars. The hotel is in walking distance to the castle. This hotel costs much less for parking (7$/night) and also had cheaper price for Breakfast (10$/person). It is really nice and with good price. Highly recommend for this hotel
Cons: There is no elevator for bring heavy luggage to upstairs, but the host helped me to carry my mid-size suitcase to upstairs.

Also they provided wine, beer, hot drinks and snacks during the day as there is no restaurant. Laura was also fantastic with local tips and advice and was extremely pleasant. 10,0 Excellent
Pros: A great breakfast personalizes and relaxed with the opportunity to meet other travelers. Our hosts where very friendly and helpfully.
Cons: The towels and small pillows.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Good location, very nice amfitrions, Victor and his friend were very helpful in getting us recommendations and tips of what to visit. The breakfast was delicious, the fresh smoothie and good coffee much appreciated!
Cons: The house is very nice, old French style renovated, but the floors are very noisy, from wood that make sounds at every step you take. Also, little privacy with no bathroom door and walls are very thin, allowing you to hear the other rooms perfectly. Would be great to have access to the main floor outside breakfast time to enjoy a glass of wine (have to admit they said they will implement this soon). Also, they do not admit credit card payments, so this has to be taken into account when stayon there: come prepared with cash or make directly a transfer.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Nice, quirky style of rooms. Breakfast was especially pleasant, including local specialties. The hosts were awesome, we also got a good recommendation for dinner in the city.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: EVERYTHING was EXCELLENT!!!! Very kind hosts, Serge and Muryel give lots of tips about things to do in the neighbourhood, Viktor (the son) makes the most delicious smoothies throughout the whole year at breakfast, very nice breakfast with delicious fresh products, the house and room are truly SO BEAUTIFUL, ... This is one of those rare B&B’s we will keep in mind and recommend to family and friends!!!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Just two mins drive from the walled city of Carcassone, this property is a little gem. The facilities are excellent with a lovely pool and sunbathing area; the rooms are very individually styled and comfortable, lots of stone and wood make this a really interesting place to stay. Serge and Muryel are absolutely lovely hosts serving a superb breakfast, they made us very welcome and we really enjoyed our stay.
Cons: Nothing!
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Nice breakfast choices served at large communal table. Muryel and Serge are good hosts who took the trouble to introduce us to fellow guests. The location is very quiet but only a few minutes from the walled town by car and on the same side of town as the large parking areas. Property is old and atmospheric.
Cons: Would have liked a full shower in the bathroom but there was a beautiful old bath with a very good hand shower so cant say we didn’t like it! That would just be icing on the cake!

9,2 Excellent
Pros: Great location
Cons: Worst showering experience due to the shower being broken. Received a credit for this however for this level of a hotel I don’t expect an issue like this. Shuttle service was super slow for the departure.
8,5 Excellent
Pros: LIkes: Fabulous view of the City over the Walls Overall feel of the hotel Comfort of the pillows and bed Best location for staying in the Old City Terrific breakfast Complimentary castle tickets
Cons: Dislikes Car has to be at least 200+ yards from the hotel--no private auto access--they use a small van to take you to the hotel. The room we were in was quite small--the closet door backed up to another needed door--constant banging. Chair for the desk had arms--could not go under the desk--another small room issue Partial glass separator for shower in the bath does a lousy job of keeping water in the tub Needs more electrical outlets--especially around the desk area
10,0 Excellent
Pros: An excellent upmarket "old school" hotel in a perfect location to relax and spoil yourselves while exploring the medieval town of Carcassonne.
Cons: Nothing

Pros: It's a beautiful location on the top of a hill in a stone village, simple and comfortable, quiet and picturesque. Food was amazing, as was the wine pairing, but the menu of the day is what you get, so if you are particular about what you eat this may not suit.

Cons: The staff knew very little English and not all of them knew how to communicate. The tables in breakfast were very close to each other and the space was not comfortable to move freely. Pros: Excellent location, just a short walk from the ancient citadel. Free off street parking though it was not secure. Friendly and informative staff 7 comfortable bedroom.

Pros: The building looks like nineteenth-century and its views to the castle are beautiful. The owner is very helpful.
Cons: Breakfast is quite good but could be more varied. You must pay in cash, credit card is not accepted.
7,1 Good
Pros: Not a lot actually. Sandra did her best to welcome us but the atmosphere was both stifling and somewhat spartan. The only positive for us was the secure parking and the distance to the old city of Carcassonne.
Cons: Someone there to meet and greet us instead of a great closed door! We arrived in the middle of the reception times so there was no reason for someone not to be there. The place was cold, the sheets felt damp, there was not even a little carpet in the bedroom and the décor did not match the antique furniture. We felt ill at ease and we never even saw the owner! Sandra seemed afraid to disobey her boss rather give us what we asked for (a kettle of BOILING water for our morning tea). we were glad to leave in spite of Sandra's efforts but chambres d'hôte should be exactly tht - siomewhere that conveys the convivality of thehost. Sorry, but it didn't do that.

Cons: Dogs need a wash. Smell bad.
9,6 Excellent
Cons: Pillows were a bit too big!!
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Location could not have been beaten. Whilst it may have been quaint being INSIDE the walled city, in reality, this place is literally just outside and better for it. It was modernly stylish and clean. The bed very comfortable indeed. The staff were all excellent, and the Hotel should be very proud of them. Everything was made simple and straightforward. We would definitely stay here again, and recommend to friends, without a doubt, and that's the best testament of any review in my opinion.
Cons: Picking at straws here, the bath took an age to drain (the plug needs to be adjusted) and we never worked out how to operate all the light switches, but that may be us being tired after a 7 hour drive. As I say - picking at straws... the place is great really
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Stylish hotel With comfy and very clean rooms. The staff are lovely and helpful
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The staff, especially Reyna and her two 4- legged assistants, are beyond wonderful! So much fun! This unique boutique hotel is so convenient to exploring the old Cite, and very casual and welcoming. Great breakfast... oo... and great selection of Occitanie wines... definitely would stay again!
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Location, breakfast and individuality of the hotel. When we were given a superior room it was very comfortable.
Cons: Avoid the standard rooms. They are the size of postage stamps, and only suitble for single travellers. When we complained we got a superior room at a discounted rate and it was extremely nice.

9,2 Excellent
Pros: As well as the excellent location, we enjoyed the feeling the hosts were welcoming us into their home. They were very charming and tolerated our attempts at French (they speak some English), serving us a basic but decent breakfast.
8,3 Excellent
Cons: Breakfast could be a little better
7,9 Good
Pros: Location good near citadel
Cons: View from room poor and room fairly small and floor needed repair
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Brigitte 'n Henri are the joy -- the icing on the cake. Thank you. Home from home. Les Florentines is located in the best fun clean street; top restaurant right next door -- and more gourmet experience all around.
Cons: There is nothing not to like. We even had the joy of listening to glorious rain thru' the night. And of course warm 'n sunny all day. We Brits were welcomed by all and we pray that we cancel Brexit as we love y'all.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Great location. Friendly hosts. Good secure indoor parking nearby at small extra charge. Good bathroom facilities.
Cons: Staircase was very steep and hard to climb with large suitcases. Too much furniture in room - the 2 normal chairs could be removed as not required as there are 2 armchairs as well.
7,9 Good
Pros: Great location. Clean. Dog friendly.
Cons: No parking available.
5,8 Okay
Pros: The location to restaurants and sights, pleasant breakfast.
Cons: The room was cluttered and the bathroom tiny. In the bathroom there was no soap, even after asking for some, the exhaust fan did not work (and there was no window) and the door handle fell off. The first page of the booklet said "Welcome.......". Straight after that was a list of "do not do ......." The bed sheets were extremely thin and the long single pillow uncomfortable.

Cons: Had to pay cash

Pros: Staff, room, decor
Cons: Restaurant - rude staff and unaccommodating
10,0 Excellent
Pros: I didn't technically stay at the Best Western. I went to Carcassonne in January 2020 and booked the Best Western due to its excellent location. However, when I arrived in Carcassonne I received an email from the hotel, saying that the hotel was closed for their winter break and that I had been upgraded to the 5 star hotel nearby. This was an amazing surprise! So I got to stay in a fabulous suite in the Hôtel de la Cité for the same price as the Best Western. I had the best time there! Great birthday surprise! :)
Cons: Nothing at all comes to mind. Everything went perfectly.

Pros: Staff and room
Cons: Excellent location
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Everything. The staff are welcoming and efficient. The room was spacious, comfortable and clean, there was even a little outdoor area. The location was fantastic, right in the centre of everything but rooms are quiet. Staff kindly held my luggage in a secure holding space when i couldn't tear myself away on check-out and had to take one more walk around la cite. Fabulous

Pros: Sadly we didn’t realise the hotel was closing the next day. Our room was supposed to be superior standard but I would say apart from the bed which was very comfortable, the bathroom was very dated. Main issue the central heating wasn’t working and we were given a plug in electric heater for the bedroom which didn’t seem to stay on. It did feel like the Hôtel was all preparing to close. It ruined it for us being our last night on a five week road trip.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: I had a fantastic stay. Staff were really kind and friendly and I was able to leave my luggage with them both before and after check in. Staff also printed some travel documents for me which was very helpful. Really good buffet breakfast with lots of options. Really nice cosy room with very comfortable bed. Ideal location to visit the medieval city as it is only a few minutes walk away! Would definitely stay again if I go back to Carcassonne
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Very near the old town
Cons: Glass wall between bathroom and sleeping room. If someone has to go to toilet during the night, everybody has to wake up from the light. It was very noisy from the street in the early morning. Garbage truck right under the window
8,3 Excellent
Pros: The location, fantastic view of the old city from our room. Room exceptionally clean. Friendly, helpful staff.
Cons: Like most reviews rooms small but if you read the reviews this will not come as a surprise. No lift. Although the gentleman in reception did carry our cases up to our room.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Nice helpful staff, great location right next to the old town, rooms and bathrooms were very clean
Cons: WiFi was not very good -- spotty and slow
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Great location a short walk away from the medieval town. Amazing breakfast! Clean nice room with view over the castle!
Cons: Single use plastic cups in the bathroom; the Environmental cost is only considered when asking us to reuse the towels, which for me is ironic. It is very easy to buy a set of simple glasses for the use of the clients..
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is in a great location the airport bus stops close by so easy to get to and from. It is is a short walk to the medieval cite and there are buses to the centre if you do not want to walk. The staff were kind and helpful we would be happy to stay again .
Cons: The bathroom was a little small and as it was a walk in shower everything tended to get sprayed. It was not a major issue
8,8 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is spotless and staff are so friendly, would have been nice to sit in the evening and have a drink while overlooking the castle. Room a bit small but cosy on a winters night. Breakfast was amazingly good.
Cons: No Bar.
6,7 Good
Pros: The location was great- a short walk to the citadel. It was good to have on site parking as we arrived late on NYE and the streets were busy. The underground parking was extremely tight and we had a small car.
Cons: We had reasonable luggage, travelling on an extended trip and there was no where to put it as the room was so small. Ok for an overnight stay if you don’t have much with you. Stairs are ok for us but consider this if not. Limited power points and wifi was open (no password).

Pros: Perfect location, just in few passes from the ramparts of the old town. Free parking at the premises. Welcoming personnel.
Cons: I'd like to have some milk already hot at breakfast, without need of heating it in a microwave.

Pros: Friendly, helpful staff. Brilliant location. Good breakfast. Excellent restaurant

Pros: Location excellent and the restaurant offers very good food
Cons: No extraction in toilet and no tray for toiletries in the shower. Holes in the curtains. Unpleasant odour from shower shore.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The Hotel was very easy to find and it's location to the old City was excellent. The views from our bedroom of the City walls was great. We where upgraded to a room with a balcony with views of the old city.
Cons: Maybe some English speaking channels on TV. but it didn't bother us as we didn't watch TV.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was wonderful. The hostess at breakfast was very sweet and helpful. The bar was nice and the restaurant was good. The closeness to the Cite was EXCELLENT!!!
Cons: The only problem we had was with the taxi. It was set up by the facility the night before and I was assured that the taxi would arrive the next day on time. However, the taxi service said they never had a reservation made (which I know wasn't true because I heard the reservation being made.) The taxi didn't show up at all and we would have missed our train if two other guests from Sweden who were leaving that day as well hadn't given us a ride to the station. My suggestion is if you set up a taxi, make sure the next morning that you call first thing to make sure they have acknowledged the reservation.

Pros: Very friendly helpful staff, brilliant location.

Pros: Warm room (cold outside in Nov), hot showers, good breakfast and helpful staff. We strolled into the old town for a Cassoulet recommended by the guy on reception. Superb.
Cons: Shower head not fixed so had to hold it
5,4 Okay
Pros: The location
Cons: The room. Breakfast facilities. Noise from bar below our room. Hotel needs modernisation.
7,0 Good
Pros: The location is fantastic, right next to the medieval city within walking distance. Excellent staff service. The room was very comfortable, so was the bed and the pillows. Breakfast was sufficient. Free parking.
Cons: The restaurant needs updating. Details in the room's bathroom: no shampoo, soap holder in the shower (nowhere to put them but the shower's floor). No clothes holder.
